US warning not to drink hand sanitizer

Apparently this is a thing.

So the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has issued a warning about not consuming hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer can be incredibly harmful to consume, although there are a few different reasons listed for the ingestion. The first is accidental consumption and the second is that some people might be using it as a substitute for alcohol because it contains ethanol.

To be extremely clear, do not ingest hand sanitizer.

I heard a few people tried to get drunk off of hand sanitizer, some of them died and some of them ended up getting some awful things. Yeah, so don’t drink hand sanitizer please. :eyes: :persevere:
