Yes! Leaves a very good impression
Oh really? Questionable stuff in the rules? I’m intrigued! Where can I read them?
Also, feel free to make suggestions! This place is made by users and for users, so we will implement a lot of the things suggested in site feedback as long as they make sense!
LOL, I don’t want to get in trouble because I’m a user there. If mention the specifics, I’ll probably get crucified I can PM you the link if you like though
PM me too, I’m intrigued

Actually, it’s a long and complicated story. I’m afraid that sharing it might be against our ToS, since it mentions we shouldn’t talk bad about other websites. Given the amount of controversy around the decision, I don’t think we can talk about it without sharing some ugly details (and a lot of un-proven suspicion).
@ShanniiWrites, would it be okay to talk about it here?
I do spread the word but seeing as I wasn’t that active on there I don’t really have enough people to spread it to.
OMG!!! YOU’RE HERE!!! FIRST OF ALL, I LOVE YOUR ART!!! I HOPE YOU OPEN YOUR ART THREAD HERE AGAIN!!!
Shannii says it’s fine to talk about it here!
Lol, I’ve invited people from my discord but I’m a little afraid of putting an announcement on my wall because there are some… interesting people that follow me
Aww, thanks xD I’m considering it, but I might have to do (cheap) commissions instead of freebies because I’ve been stood down from work >.>
I’d definitely be interested if you do end up having commissions
I second this-
Okay, so… The situation looks a bit complicated. At a certain point, people started to complain really hard about the moderation. They claimed that the moderators turned a blind eye to harassment of POC and LGBT+ people, ignored reports about racial slurs, or actively participated in such treatment themselves.
Predictably, it caused a lot of outrage. The outraged users made a ‘peaceful protest’ thread, in which they discussed the problem and how to deal with it. They’ve moderated the discussion to keep it civil; however, at some point, one of the founders said that they know some popular youtubers and how they’re going to ‘cancel’ WattPad.
Shortly after that, WP pulled the plug on the forums. No warning, no advance note. Even the forum moderators were surprised (you could see their conversations cut in the middle). They stated the ‘bullying problem’ as the official reason and posted a survey for ‘feedback’, but never gave specific explanations.
I’ve never seen the mods do any of the things described above, so I can’t vouch for it. It’s true WP moderation was… Problematic, though At the same time, the level of the discussion wasn’t exactly high to begin with. It wasn’t rock bottom, but there was a lot of double standards and plenty of people itching for outrage at all times. As such, it was something of a powder keg ready to blow. It looks like WP decided to diffuse it by throwing it down the wharf
That’s so weird, you’d think they’d be involved
That’s what surprised me the most. The literal last post on the forum was a mod playing a forum game in the free chat =.=;
you’d think they’d be told beforehand
Added wattpad and social-media tags
This happened some time ago now, I wonder what effects it had on Wattpad in general
I never knew Wattpad had forums.
Anyway, anyone from Wattpad!! You’re gonna love it here! <33
