What Are Your Pet Peeves?

I felt this.

People really don’t understand that talking can be tiring as hell.

I’ll never understand why people do that. Like why ask you in the first place? Can’t they make the decision themselves?

Guilt tripping is the freaking worst! I hate it when people are like, “You should have come” and I’m like “Um, I don’t feel comfortable hanging around with people like you.” Not falling for that!

Jokes can be harmful. Name calling definitely has an impact on anyone.

Teachers…always have the audacity to pick on any student for no freaking reason.

Lol I get this all the time. “Are you okay?” Yup, I’m fine. “You sure?” This just makes me feel sad for some reason when I’m perfectly fine. I know this one girl who ALWAYS assumes other people’s emotions and she’s only been right like one time.

Like, if you ask me if I’m fine and I say I’m fine but I’m actually not fine then it’s none of your business anyway. If I say I’m fine then assume I’m fine until I come crying to you later lol.

  • I know I have made a thread about this but I can’t stand Metal Elitists! Metal is metal. End of!
  • When people force positivity onto me. Like bruh, telling me to “be happy” isn’t going to clear out the clouds around my head.
  • People taking pictures of me without my consent. Thanks for triggering my self-consciousness, idiots!

Here’s a pet peeve, earlier on my I fell out with my Mum so my brother said to me

“There’s nothing wrong with you, you’re just a bit mental and I have no sympathy because you’re a horrible person”

So the pet peeve from this is many things:

“There’s nothing wrong with you”
Oh my goodness I had no idea you could read my mind but thanks for the diagnosis

“You’re just a bit mental”
Who uses that as an insult?

“I have no sympathy for you because you’re a horrible person”
Yup yeah you’re absolutely right I am not worthy to be in your presence because clearly you are a perfect angelic saint who never makes mistakes

  • making an ill informed diagnosis
  • using the word “mental” as an insult
  • being a hypocrite

The girls who did this at school were the worst and SO EXHAUSTING. They would be like “Come on! It’s for my story :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I’ll tag you :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:” whilst I’d be working. Leave me aloneeeeee

We should shout this from the rooftops

Even worse when they try to tell me how great my life is compared to others and I don’t have the right to be sad

High school all over :woman_facepalming:

Tell me about it!

When I was in year 7, one girl took a picture of me without my consent and she uploaded it onto a website called Piczo. When I found out about it, I got really angry that I reported her to the Head Of Key Stage 3 since that counted as cyberbullying. Luckily the picture got taken down when someone hacked into their account :joy:

And when I was in college, some stupid guy took a picture of me behind my back. I got so mad that I broke his phone by smashing it against the wall and treading on it! I didn’t give a f**k how much that phone cost him, he deserved it!

Well my friend, high school never ends.

I know I’m not in secondary school anymore as I am now in my 20s but man, the drama really sucks. Even worse when you know these idiots that went to the same school as you, try to put on that fake act around you.

I’ve been out of secondary for a year and sometimes the situations I find myself in it just feels like I’ve landed right back there :woman_facepalming: I guess some people just don’t grow up.

They never do tbh, it’s ridiculous!

I don’t even believe in this “best friends forever” nonsense either.

Nah me niether but that might just be because I’ve never had a “best friend” for very long so I just stopped trying with that. I see people on social media with their besties and always feel like I’m missing out or that I must be heavily flawed because I can’t hold onto friendships  as you can imagine this leads into alot of overthinking so by making the desicion to not have a best friend I don’t have to worry about that

You & me both.

Since I have Asperger’s, I find it very difficult to form & maintain friendships. I just know that my friendship with certain people wouldn’t last long. Hence I have 0 interests in making new friends in real life. Especially when I make inconsistent eye-to-eye contact.

I know a girl like this, she also showed up 1hour and 4minutes late to her own A level it just shows poor organisation. I’m always on time or early to things I’m not saying everybody should be like that because there are many factors which can cause people to be late but not even calling ahead is just rude especially if it’s a repeated offense.

I hate when people have a go at me for being pale

“You look ill”
“Get a tan”
“You need to get out more”
“You have depression becauae you never leave the house” - My Dad said this when he was drunk
“You look like a ghost”
“The vampire aesthetic only works on some people”

Depression is something we all can’t control. You can’t get over it and be happy.

Exactly it’s not like I’m gonna walk out into the house and everything turns to sunshine and rainbows then suddenly I start skipping down the stree saying “I’m not depressed anymore”

I agree.

Depression is like drowning, a nightmare you can’t escape from.
