What Are Your Pet Peeves?

I don’t want your damn premium, Spotify. I freaking hate the ads for it.

Another pet peeve of mine is when people say teenagers or children can’t be depressed because it’s only hormones. There’s many more factors than hormones that can make people depressed. Plus, you don’t know what they’re going through.

Agreed… depression isn’t something you can just ‘get over’ or turn on and off like a light switch.

Oh my gosh, don’t even get me started on how lame the Spotify Premium ads are.

When people pry me for my political views. I don’t wanna discuss politics. Then they’ll say something like “women died for your vote”. I’m not saying I’m not going to vote! I’m saying I don’t want to talk about it.

I know how you feel. Politics is such a headache! That’s why I get too scared to talk about it with anyone.

  • when people expect you to know things without being told

E.g. “why did you have your headphones on we were expecting a delivery?”

because you didn’t tell me :upside_down_face:

Also something that I’ve seen older women do is be highly critical of girls in their twenties. They say stuff like “bet she’s not had 3 kids” “does she eat anything?” “She won’t look like that forever”.

Can’t they just leave them alone, I get that they’re young and you’re not but there’s no need to be so critical of them and try pointing out flaws in their bodies.

This is why I refuse to respect my elders because of this repulsive mindset older women have on us women & girls.

I was at the hairdressers with my Mum and both my hairdresser and my Mum along with the other women in there (all older) started really laying into younger women. I’m still technically a child but hearing them say all that made me think “great am I being judged by the older generations?”

If the elders don’t respect young people, then why do they expect for the youth to respect them? You take what you give.

They try and use the whole “we have more experience than you” “if it wasn’t for us you wouldn’t exist”

So we’re immediately supposed to respect them no matter how rude they are to us. No matter how many dirty looks they give us. No matter all the snide remarks and crtitcisms we have to respect them because clearly we owe them everything.

I’m nice to all strangers until they are rude to me, regardless of age.

Now don’t get me wrong, I look up to my elders because they can give good advice and in general can be good guides. But the criticism some of them give to the younger generations is ridiculous.

Exactly.

As I have said this before, us females are not incubators so they should mind their freaking business.

Lol I mainly watch anime in English I don’t think I’ve come across any offended people and I hope I never do, I don’t mind subtitles.

Nothing wrong with that. At least you’re not one of these tomboys who trash girly girls for wanting to paint their nails, wear high heels and pretty dresses.

It’s just annoying that this one idiot I told you about (some p***k I used to be friends with) got offended just because I prefer watching anime in English than in Japanese since I’d be able to take it more seriously than in Japanese.

You can always go on anime websites and watch whatever anime in English or Japanese instead of trashing others for preferring to watch anime in English.
