This freat feedback! Thank you so much!
You’re welcome. I’m still learning just like you but I try.
Same! Learning is an everyday thing we it comes to life.
But–they might be able to do the twists. One of their hairstyles are somewhat curled in a way that looks somewhat like the twists. Only if Episode tries and doesn’t half @$$ it like they did with the LL Afros.
Very true. Hopefully they don’t.
The only thing I think about braids are how annoyingly difficult they are to draw.
It’s a very pretty hairstyle though
This is what we argued about a long time ago, Shadow =P
French braids are very different to African braids, French braids are designed for smoother white hair, and they fall out really easily. But that’s a debate for another day, yes. African hairstyles are just as pretty. And way harder to draw
Yeah, I’m not sure of how they would draw this one.
I meant that people call the Cornrow braids French braids. I know what actual French braids are.
Wikipedia says they’re the same, but that’s not a very good source. My hairdresser and her colleague explained the difference to me and she did it really passionately, like a good sassy black woman.
Ahh. I love her. She’s so passionate about hair. She hates me because I don’t care for mine enough
Ah, okie, cool.
Yeah that’s a bad. Google images does that and they’re wrong and it’s stupid
Well, that’s the internet for ya. =D
Its annoying when people confuse the names. Whenever I hear someone call cornrows “French” or “Dutch”, I just give them a confused look.
When I was little, they called me Karate Kid for them. LOVE MY LIFE!
Yeah, different types of hair require different types of care. And a typical plait or French braid is great for white girls in say, martial arts or going to the gym. If a bun is out of the question.
The difference was super clear in martial arts, I saw so many different ways of keeping your hair out your face :'D
I can do both cornrows and French braids and I have to say you even braid them differently. Plus, French braids don’t last at all on Afro hair
I genuinely don’t think Africa was the only place to come up with braiding hair so it sticks to the head. We have proof that it was done elsewhere. It’s just when people try to claim that they aren’t using African styles or they weren’t inspired by African culture for those styles that I get annoyed.
It wasn’t only Africa these hairs was used or came from within. But the origin of some braiding styles were in Africa. Emphasize of some.
Africa didn’t come to with every braid. No matter who tells you.
Yeah some for sure. Interestingly French braids are known as African braids in France because no one really knows where they came from — but they do suit European textured hair best
