So… I noticed that we have a thread about what we want to see less in stories, but not one about what we want to see more in stories unless I didn’t see it, in that case feel free to delete this thread or merge it with the existing one :sweat_smile::green_heart::eyes::sparkles:

So what would you like to see more in stories?
(You can talk about any kind of stories like for example Wattpad, Episode, normal books, etc.)

Some of the things I'd like to see more often
  • Character development/ well thought out characters
  • Dialogue that feels natural
  • Unique MCs and LIs

I would like to see more properly written vampires and werewolves in stories!

I wanna see more evil protagonists, or at least morally grey MCs. By that, I mean MCs who know they’re evil and will do anything to hide it.

Things i want to see in stories moree

  • Originality
  • A normal MC
  • A normal LI
  • A good villain
  • P A R E N T S (and a big family coz i never see families)
  • No drugs

I would like the MC to actually face the consequences of their actions more often, MCs can usually just get away with whatever they do… :eyes::sparkles:

This is a long list…

  • Non-stereotypical diversity. (eg. cliché gay best friend, sassy black girl)
  • Less glorification of smoking.
  • Less bad boys and golden boys. (why not a funny one? A smart one?)
  • Asexual/Aromantic MC’s.
  • Non-binary, genderfluid and agender characters.
  • Religious characters.
  • Gay men who aren’t the stereotypical GBF who wears florals and exists to support the MC.
  • Best friend with an actual personality. (make them/him/her disagree with the MC sometimes)
  • An equal number of male and female LI’s.
  • Non-generic features. [eg. less defined natural nose and beach wave hair (basically a cast that doesn’t look identical.)]

  • Family-centered stories

  • MCs that embrace and practice their religion

  • Less glorification of alcohol/smoking/drugs

  • Slow-burn romances

  • MCs with actual hobbies that aren’t just going to a club/bar

  • LIs with realistic flaws, that are neither the ‘bad boy’ nor the ‘golden boy’

  • Memorable, well-developed characters
