I also feel really mad when full round pouty is used on a white person… like the black females have been mocked because of their lips for a long time and when a white person used it… Everybody thought it was classy.

Anytime I See a character with monolids in episode I automatically think their Asian and when they are not I get shocked/mad because it is just wrong. Monolids should only be used for Asian characters! if they are not asian you shouldn’t use it on your characters
it looks like an Asian person’s eyes because it is and when it’s used on a white person it is degrading because they do not want to represent the culture they are trying to steal from. The culture their using their face feutres just because their think is probably "aesthetic "
I literally never often see Asian characters in episode but I will see white people with Asian features.
And it’s really sad that no one has called episode authors for this. The fact most episode readers/artist/authors just cherry pick what is beneficial for them and leave out the cultural appropriation/misused of asian features because of “aesthetic”
And this is something that needs to change. In episode we will always talk about black racism and how full round pouty shouldn’t be used in white episode characters-which is good to talk about because it brings awareness to what authors can/can’t used on certain characters because of how damaging it can be. But we never hear them talk about Asian features appropriation .

I couldn’t agree more. I see people advocating against racism, but they ignore or gaslight Asians when they speak up against racism against Asians. It’s so normalized. I’ve seen people have BLM in their bios but when an asian calls out racism they say it’s a joke. They always say it’s a joke. Every single racist comment against Asians is a joke to them
True! back when I was younger my friends would make fun of Asian eyes by you know ‘doing the thing with their eyes to make it look like Asian eyes’ and everyone will laugh- even the teachers and parents.
No one will call them out for how wrong it is/how rude it is.And when they are called out for it they literally just say
“Chill it’s a joke ” Like ok but no. It’s flat out racism. How would they feel if someone mocked them because of how they look? I know a lot of them will start crying and reporting it to the teacher/any adult visible.
But yet they will make fun of Asians and say
“it’s a joke” Well if someone mocks them they shouldn’t take it as offensive because “it’s a joke”
Also the fact that people call corona- the chinese virus and when they get called out for their racism they be like:

I eat pig and I know people who eat snail… why aren’t we call vile humans? As long as they don’t eat people’s pet it’s ok. I mean i will never eat dog mean but if you do I’m not going to shame you or treat you as less than a human being.

Everything that is created to mock Asians is treated as a joke and I think that is very wrong.
If more people will talk about it, it will become a serious issue to others. But in this world we live in… I don’t think is going to happen soon Pigs will more likely start flying before people start normalizing exposing racism against asians like they do with blacks.

Asians can have brown hair my friend is an example of that And large eyes (example Indians and some other Asians have naturally big round eyes) but I don’t think episode author’s care to know because after all:
