“So many bird people here.” Inna noticed. “You guys should all form your own separate team. Call it… I don’t know, Alpha Flight or something.” She shrugged and kept on working. “Could one of you grab me a pair of pliers and wire cutters?” She asked.

He snorted, rolling his eyes playfully. “Somehow I doubt that your mutant abilities have to do with mice, or other snake prey,” he said. She stuck his tongue out at him and even that motion reminded him of a snake, in her tongue’s forked and long nature. “That,” he pointed, eyebrows raised, “is a snake’s tongue and you can’t convince me otherwise.”
He smiled, nodding. “Yes, compliments will get you far Miss. Cobra. Can it even be called a compliment if it’s the truth?” Aziel laughed, assessing her. “Ooh, yes. Confidence is a sexy asset to have,” he said, pursing his lips in approval. “Can’t keep the guys—or girls, if you’re into that—away with a fresh dose of confidence.” He paused, looking her up and down. “Yes, I probably won’t forget you so be warned; I might start parading around as you more often.”
“Hey, the shapeshifting came from the walking through walls thing!” He huffed, crossing his arms. “It was years after first discovering I could walk through walls that I learned I could rearrange the atoms of my body as well. Walking through walls deserves more credit!”

Inna giggled. “It does, doesn’t it?” She agreed, taking the tools from Korbyn. She fiddled around inside the TV for a while, trying to sort out the tangled mess of wires and pick shattered plastic and glass out of the delicate circuits.
After a while, she sat up. “Phew.” She sighed, mopping sweat from her brow. “I don’t know how you two did it, but all of the fuses need to be rearranged. You’re sure you just knocked it over?” She asked Ajee.
“Oh no…the tv’s busted…I wanted to watch more new shows…” I said dejectedly. “It looked like she just bumped into it…” I muttered.

I thought the tv would be fine by now, but the fuses were messed up. “The fuses? But how? I just bumped into it.” I looked closer at the tv in unbelief. Maybe I did more damage than I thought I did. “I hope I don’t have to pay for this.” I quickly glanced at Korbyn and she had a disappointed face, which made me feel worse.

“It’s fine…I was going to take a shower, but I don’t have any other clothes, sooo…” I muttered, gesturing to the dirty jeans and scorched jacket Aiden had given me. “You can come and get your coat. I’ll show you where my room is.” I told the woman. “Sorry, I don’t think I ever got your name…”

I laughed a little bit at his reaction when he saw my tongue. “Yeah, yeah you got me… I do have snake-like abilities” I said. “And snake’s tongue is not my only power, I can also do this,” I added and breathed out a small purple cloud of harmless smoke in his face. “Imagine if that would have been poison” I added and smirked at him.
I shrugged, “I guess you are right, it can’t be called compliment if it’s the truth,” I said slightly grinning. “And yeah, I definitely don’t have a problems with picking up girls or guys” I added and smirked at him. “You can walk as me as much as you want, as long if you don’t ruin my reputation” I added and chuckled a little bit.
I crossed my arms and stared at him thinking what he said about walking through walls, then after some time I shaked my head disagreeing with him. “No it doesn’t,” I said simply, “Walking through walls is lame” I added and laughed a little bit.

I had forgotten all about the jacket that I gave her earlier. I also didn’t realize that we could have our own rooms. “Oh, I’ll come with you then.” I said as I waited for her to lead the way. “My name’s Ajee. I assume your name is Korbyn since I heard people calling you that.” I said.

“Yep, I’m Korbyn. Follow me.” I said, standing up and walking up the stairs. “The girls rooms are on the left past the study.” I said, quoting Erik. I lead her to my room, opening the door and retrieving her coat. “Thanks so much for letting me borrow it.”

When I walked into the room, I realized that It looked better than the house I had right now. I didn’t know if I could stay in one of these rooms, so the best thing I could do is ask Charles or Erik. “You’re welcome. I have another coat just like this so you can borrow it whenever you want.” I looked around the room some more. “I’m going to explore more of the mansion more but it was nice meeting you.” I walked out of the room, trying to see if there was a Jacuzzi around here.

I stepped out of my room, closing the door and walking down the hallway. I had no clue who to ask, and was terrified of walking up to someone. I looked around nervously, shadows winding around my legs. I softly knocked on a couple doors, so terrified I was nauseous.

I sighed, walking downstairs and nearly colliding with a blonde, short haired girl. “Eep! I’m so sorry!” I squeaked, shadows engulfing my body. I was practically hyperventilating in fear that she’d hit me. I cowered back, trying to even out my breathing.

Amelia had arrived much later than she had intended. Amelia hadn’t gotten to meet anyone or even see where anything was. She was just about to walk up the steps as a girl nearly ran into her. Amelia tucked close against the handrail holding tight to keep from falling. “Its fine, are you ok?”

He coughed, waving away the purple smoke with a laugh. “Wow, so the power of bad breath, but elevated to a toxic level,” he retored, smirking right back at her. “So you just… blow your breath in someone’s face in danger? And then BAM, dead?”
Girls and guys, how interesting, he thought. “Yessss, I can definitely see that. You look like someone that anyone would want to get with—well, except for me, but that’s only because I like men.” Cobra said that he could walk as her whenever he wanted if he didn’t ruin her reputation, and so Aziel put a hand to his heart, gasping dramatically. “Cobra, if anything, I would improve your reputation. You are lu-cky to have me around to parade around as you.”
He crossed his arms, making a face. “It’s not lame! I can literally go into any locked building in the world! Hell, I could even walk into the White House if I wanted to. It’s an assassin’s dream!” Aziel began to gesture widely to illustrate his point. “If I wanted to kill someone, they would be dead, because there is nowhere they could hide that I wouldn’t be able to get into.”

“No? Why would I be mad?” The girl seemed scared, like she thought Amelia would yell at her or worse. Amelia certainly wouldn’t, and she definitely didn’t look like the type to hurt someone, because of being weak and easy to fend off. Amelia, even with her bright multicolor jacket that was easily a size or two too large, it was clear that she was short with a petite shape. Her skin was visibly pale, and upon observation, one could easily come to the conclusion that someone with strength could practically snap her like a twig. Amelia was about the least intimidating person you could come across.

“I-never mind. Anyway, I assume you just got here? Pretty good timing. You just missed a huge fight that you definitely didn’t want to see. I need to take a shower and…these are the only clothes I have…I’m looking for someone who can give me pajamas to change into.” I said, looking at the scorched jacket and holey jeans I wore.
