Are You The One - Official RP Thread

Lainey turned off the treadmill and stepped off and walked closer to him. He just smirked a little since she also agreed that she was good looking and just in general since she walked closer to him. “Oh well that is amazing. I only play guitar but I am not that great at it but I do just mess around on it. Is your family supportive of you being a singer?” Rhett wondered if they shared the same issue of there parents not being okay with dreams like being a firefighter and a singer, or if they supported her in her dreams. Plus this gave him an idea on what her family is like.

Tate watched the game as he listened to Katie talk. Her body language had changed. He was sure it was something he said. He knew how he came off to most people. They judged him for his tattoos and the way he spoke. He was just him though. He knew he wasn’t everybody’s cup of coffee and that was okay with him. He smiled as they played. “That’s awesome. So how old are you and what do you do for a living?” He asked with a smile as they played the game. He was excited to be here and away from Florida.

@Littlefeets Katie

Lainey listened to Rhett’s question. “Well my oldest sister is very supportive. My mom I don’t think is happy but she tries to act like she is. My dad isn’t in my live actually. Well he tried to come back when I started making money.” She giggled at the thought of him coming back just because she had money now. “What about you?” She asked as they stood there talking.

Day 0 | With Amberleigh

“Ah, so you’re a local expert, huh?” Max chuckled, his tone teasing yet appreciative. “Well, I stand corrected then. Seems like I’ve met my match when it comes to admiring the Alaskan scenery. And hey, I’m all for not getting bored of the breathtaking views. Trust me, I could spend hours just taking it all in.” In fact, that was something he often did. Skiing, it involved an often underestimated amount of waiting, so in those times, he often took in the mountains and the beauty of Alaska.

As Amberleigh issued her playful caution, Max flashed her a charismatic grin, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “Got it, noted,” he replied, his voice carrying a hint of mock seriousness. “Wouldn’t want to get too ahead of myself now, would I?” His tone carried a subtle hint of banter, and a playful acknowledgment of the fact it was clear that Amberleigh was not one to be easily charmed by empty words, and Max appreciated the challenge she presented. With a flicker of mischief in his eyes, Max leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a whisper. “But who’s to say a little anticipation isn’t part of the fun?” he added, a playful spark in his eye.

Max chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement at Amberleigh’s playful challenge. Her confident demeanor and straightforward manner didn’t go unnoticed by him, and he found himself drawn to her spirited energy. “Well, well, you’re not one to beat around the bush, are you?” Max quipped, his tone light and playful. “Alright, challenge accepted.”

As they strolled through the villa, Max gestured to various features with a casual wave of his hand. “In this place, there’s more than meets the eye. Aside from the breathtaking views and the peace of the natural surroundings, there’s a whole lot of things for you to get up to.” These houses really were exceptional, there was so much to do, Max thought for a second what to bring up, “There’s the hot tub for late night chats and stargazing, the game room for some friendly competition, or simply relax at the fireplace and enjoy everyone’s company,” Max suggested, his tone inviting. His gaze shifted to Amberleigh, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “And who knows, maybe you’ll stumble upon some unexpected connections too. After all, that’s what we’re all here for, right?”

She introduced herself and Avery seemed to guess that his predictions of her seemed to increasingly suggest she might be his match. He never specified it; but in the back of his mind, he always kind of knew the girls with nicknames that end in an “ee” sound, especially similar to hers with some sort of repetition were always the best people. It had theatre kid energy in a way too, someone who likes drama and has flair. He always liked the theatre girls in high school, but he never wanted to pursue them. He always thought they’d think he was ugly.

And now, he had not still grown too much confidence, but he was aware he looked different. If he wanted to do it now, he could comfortably cross his legs, or ride a plane without worrying about spilling onto the other seat… and tactfully, that made sense, but sometimes he forgot that besides him feeling it, others saw it. She, in particular, had called him handsome, and he was especially flattered because at one point in his life, that was rare.

“That’s a pretty name.” He spoke kindly trying to please her, then inquired. “Whats the origin?”

Back in london, Avrey was used to meeting a relatively diverse set of people, but never had he met a “Chinyere.” He wondered what the story might be behind it, or if she fit the name meaning.

He almost told her his name, beginning to talk, but then she went to speak, and he withdrew, letting her talk. She tried to guess his name, which he did not know whether or not to consider as flirty, but it was surprisingly impressive. She must have had a really good intuition.

“Siah is actually my middle name!” He said, with a light amount of excitement in the words. "It’s technically in Hebrew, but I’m actually Muslim because I lived in the uk all of my life, but some of my relatives were Egyptian.” He smiled slightly as he shared, hoping she would be interested in what he way saying.

Realizing emphasised texthe had gone off on a tangent, Avery changed back the topic of conversation that she had been aiming at. “Sorry,” Avery chuckled politely. “My name is Avery, which is very close to Aidan. So you’re still right by default.” Avery spoke, letting her win because she was cute to him, or maybe he was just being a Sagittarius…

Not surprisingly, Chi-chi had ordered a fruity, strawberry drink, which he found endearing. He had been thinking it was not his thing to drink his go-to on the first afternoon of the dating show, but he was beginning to consider it, mostly just so Chi-Chi wouldn’t be drinking again.

He then looked around to see the bottles and materials the bartender used, trying to come up with something but instead, he decided to ask her for her input, with the same sass she gave him of courses “So, chi-chi, what do you think I should have after I finish this water!

“I’m 22, and I’m a gymnast. The goal is to make it into the Olympics.” She wanted to make it at least once, like Cora did in swimming, before her body inevitably wouldn’t be able to handle the pressure, or when she one day in the future was married and had a kid. Gymnastics was her passion, and she couldn’t see a future without it being part of her life, but the competitor in her was determined to not just compete for fun, but to win for as long as she could. “What about you?”

Arrival Day || With Kian

Tomer couldn’t help but smile at Kian’s animated reaction to discovering they were both from New York. The shared connection to the sleepless city seemed to form an instant bond between them. “Small world, huh?” Tomer chuckled, “New York boys coming to show Alaska a real good time”
Tomer loved New York, it might not have been his original hometown but at this point it felt more homey than it ever did.

As Kian painted an adventurous picture of hiking, even pointing to the mountains with a glint of anticipation, Tomer chuckled. "Survival expedition might be a bit much, don’t get me wrong, I’m all in for that, but maybe just a bit much” he said. Tomer himself had no problem with a full on survival mission, after all, he was quite experienced with these kind of things, not in Alaskan wilderness, but still. And now the idea of a wilderness adventure sparked a glimmer of excitement in his eyes, the prospect of exploring the untamed Alaskan terrain together lingering in his mind. “But a hike sounds like a great idea. Could be cool as a date idea," he suggested, already considering the possibilities that the show might unfold.

As Kian commented on Tomer’s bold move in joining the show, a smile tugged at the corners of Tom’s lips. “Brave or crazy, guess we’ll find out," he quipped with a lighthearted grin, appreciating Kian’s supportive nod. “Here’s to breaking routines and finding something real,” he replied, raising an imaginary toast to their new adventure of top tier experiences and connections.

With Kian’s invitation to head back to the house, Tomer nodded lightly, glancing inside, at this point he could already see more people than there were when he came outside, “Sounds like a solid plan. Let’s see what we’re dealing with out here” he replied with a light smirk, falling into step alongside his newfound friend as they headed back inside.

“You are certainly right about that. Do you get to do that with yours?” he asked, curious if she was in the same boat of having a favorite hobby as a job. “What I enjoy baking most…” he repeated, pausing for a moment to think about the answer to both parts of the question. “My favorite would probably be any form of cookies, because it was the only time my sister was much help, so I have a lot of good memories of that. But for the bakery I just want it to be known for being homemade and made with care.” he wanted people to be reminded of baking with their own grandmas as kids when they came to his bakery. That feeling of comfort and home.

“It is.” he agreed when she spoke about it being special how people can shape their lives. “She is. It’s all thanks to her for inspiring me to do it in the first place.” Elijah nodded along as he listened to her talk about home and San Francisco. “What’s it like for you with your family back home, if you don’t mind me asking?”

Day 0 | Just arrived | With Elijah

When Elijah asked whether she did that with her job, she gave him a nod. “Oh, definitely,” Ava spoke softly with a warm smile, her eyes reflecting a shared understanding. As she reflected a bit on her career, her hand supported her head as she looked in the distance. As she continued talking, her gaze focused back on Elijah, “I turned my love for photography into my job. I never thought I would make it this far as a freelance photographer, but it’s so rewarding to make a living from my passion, it really brings a unique kind of joy.”

As Elijah shared his favorite thing to bake and the sentimental value attached to it, Ava’s expression softened. “Awe, I love that,” she commented, her voice carrying a genuine appreciation for the heartfelt memories he associated with baking cookies. “Creating a sense of nostalgia and warmth in your bakery sounds like a wonderful goal. I’m sure people will cherish not just the treats but the feeling of comfort of home it’ll bring.” She thought it was quite a smart business strategy too, that feeling is the perfect feeling to be associated with a bakery.

“She sounds like an amazing woman.” Ava mused softly, her eyes reflecting a shared appreciation for the bond Elijah shared with his grandmother. “It’s heartwarming to hear how she has been such a positive influence in your life.” When Elijah inquired about Ava’s family back home, she felt a brief flutter of hesitation, but she felt comfortable enough to share a glimpse of her own experiences. “My family back in San Francisco is… supportive,” she began, her voice soft yet guarded. “They’ve always been there for me, especially during the tough times. There’s a lot of love and warmth there, despite the challenges we’ve faced.” She wasn’t quite sure if she was ready to talk about what those tough times and challenges were, but she felt calm about this step towards sharing something a bit deeper.

Mars watched the man check his watch when she asked what time it was, and noticed the tattoo of a compass on his wrist. Internally, she was pushing her hair behind her ear and sticking her tongue out like :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: but on the outside she kept her composure. One of her favorite things in a man was when he had tattoos.

It was one of her favorite things to see in a man, it was something about that aesthetic. How these men were enduring, perhaps, and willing to be stabbed by a small needle many times in order to express himself. Someone confident in their likes, and unminding of the pain required in the process of obtaining their desires. A larger part of it though… may or may not have been the simple nonconformism of it.

She liked men who looked a little bit like… thugs usually. Most times, they actually were thugs. She supposed it might be because she found them more relatable, as she wasn’t the most innocent girl either, but what she did not know was why she was that way. Perhaps it was related to her relationship with her father… or lack thereof. But that wasn’t her fault. The phone shouldn’t have to work both ways.

“Yes!” She exclaimed, agreeing with his point. “I can’t even play my chef game anymore.” She crossed her arms, and then flattened her expression, lips behind her mouth, a bit water-sign on her part, but she wanted to concur with him.

“I guess at least now we can detox.” She shrugged, trying not to be negative either. And looking at him, she checked his features; his hooked nose, and his hair that appeared soft, and she wondered what he might think of her. Did he think she was an idiot for wearing a h0e dress to anchorage? Probably. Which she couldn’t be mad about, she did kind of fck up. But mayyyybe… he also thought she was cute.

“I like your tattoo.” She said, pointing her finger onto the compass, because he seemed to have two exposed to light, and she worried he seemed confused as to which one she was talking about. “Does it have a special meaning?” She asked, her eyes twinkling as they met his.

He introduced himself like he was James Bond, and Mars laughed a little, taking his hand as she did appreciate his sense of humor. He seemed very proper, which she didn’t find the most relatable, but she supposed it could also be charming. Perhaps that fancy demeanor also came with a fancy job and a fancy apartment to visit when the show ended… she wouldn’t mind that.

“Marcia.” She replied politely, following his lead and sharing her formal name. “But most people call me Mars.” The girl smiled, her bangs wagging slightly when she put her hand back down.

Aaaaaand there it was. Aren’t you cold? Yup. Now she had to answer his question and smile. “It’s actually not bad.” She said, actually believing her words. Even though she looked stupid, Mars was actually not that uncomfortable. She had been in worse places before, the cold was not too bad of a concern. “But it is my bad dressing like this. I had remembered this was a dating show, but forgotten the dress code is different in alaska.” Mars chuckled nervously, hoping he would understand. So far, she had not gained the courage to flirt, as she was a bit shyer sober than she was usually.

Day 0 | Arrival at the house | With Amari & Elliot

Rafaela’s eyes sparkle with excitement at him being a bartender and asking them their drinks of choice. Bem, isn’t this the most exciting topic?” she exclaimed, looking between Amari and Elliot with a playful grin. “Amari here is all about the glam and flair, aren’t you?” she said with a teasing glance at Amari. Rafaela playfully added, “I’d bet you’d go for something as bold as a French Martini. It’s as stylish and glamorous as you are!” Her words carried an air of playful flattery, reflecting her vibrant personality and genuine appreciation for Amari’s sense of style and vibe, “I can totally picture you sipping on one.”

Turning her attention back to Elliot, Rafaela’s warm smile conveyed both friendliness and confidence as she went to answer the question for herself, “I’m all about variety! From vibrant margaritas to refreshing mojitos, I love exploring the world of flavors.” Rafaela’s eyes danced with excitement as she continued, “But if I had to choose a favorite, it’s got to be a caipirinha,” she said, her Brazilian heritage shining through. “There’s just something about that tangy lime and cachaça mix that never fails to transport me back home.”

“And you,” she continued, her tone turning excited, “being the expert bartender here, I’m curious to hear your thoughts. What’s your go-to drink recommendation?” Rafaela’s gaze at Elliot held a mix of anticipation and trust, signaling her respect for his expertise in mixology.

Rhett listened intently at what she was saying about her family being supportive or not and it just gives him some extra information as well. As he listened he realized in a small way they have something in common about family, they both have a sister and the sibling is supportive. “Oh well that is good to hear about your mom and sister and how they are supportive or try to be supportive of you. I am sorry to hear about your dad.”

Lainey then asked Rhett about his family and he guesses if they are supportive of him. He was not sure if he was going to say anything about his parents or not but this show is getting to know people. “As for me I have a sister as well and she is supportive of me being a Firefighter. My parents not so much. I am first generation American so they really put pressure on myself and my sister to get good grades and jobs. I did get good grades and went to college for a year and and a half, but dropped out when I realized I love being a Firefighter and wanted to do it forever. They were not happy about my decision as they grew up in India and did not have the opportunities my sister an I have so.” . Rhett decided that he explained enough in regards to his parents. Of course there was more to it but he wasn’t going to explain it yet.

Day 0 | Arrival at the House | With MJ

Phoebe nodded when MJ asked if she was talking about Los Angeles, California and then smiled when she said she was from there as well. “I was born in Beverly Hills but now I live in LA with my sister. I also lived in Beijing for a bit." She already felt better having met someone from her hometown. Despite being in a house full of strangers, it made her feel a little less alone.

“That doesn’t sound stupid. It’s a lot colder than I was expecting too.” She empathized with her. “Like, I knew it would be cold but I didn’t think it would be this cold, if you get what I’m saying.” She added. Knowing that the shooting location would be colder than she was used to and actually experiencing the cold were nowhere close to the same thing and it was a bit of a shock when she first felt the cold air on her cheeks.

She smiled when MJ asked if she wanted to get some drinks. “I would love a drink.” She responded, letting herself relax a little, as if she were with someone she was already acquainted with instead of someone she was trying to impress. She still wanted to impress MJ a little, she just didn’t feel like it should be her top priority anymore. “I have no idea where it is but I wouldn’t be opposed to going searching for it.” She added with a playful expression in her eyes to compliment her smile.

#desiree label later

He seemed to look at his initial sketch with a sheer fascination when he spoke m, and she watched him perplexed. Was he seriously drawing her? Because she had been catcalled and hit on many times but this was certainly a new one. For that reason, Desiree had to question it. And perhaps question his intent too; did he find her attractive? Or simply unique?

He spoke, and she continued listening without elaborating. He pointed out the beauty of the scene, which she supposed he could understand, but then he dared to call her beautiful, which made her smile a bit. Even though his approach had been quite strange… the things he said were cute and Desiree did like him a lot physically. What could she say? He had the perfect attributes from the good hair to his simple but charming sense of fashion.

“It’s alright.” Dez smiled empathetically, trying to hear him out for a bit and show when he added the mention of his name, and she supposed she should I introduce herself as well. “Desiree Nghiem, It’s nice to meet you, Dawson.” She smiled softly, thinking now that would happen rn if he might frown ugh.

“So, Dawson. Do you usually like to draw the girls you’re interested in?” She asked with a hint of coyness in her often serious demeanor.

~arrival day~

London boy

“That’s a pretty name.” He spoke kindly trying to please her, then inquired. “Whats the origin?”

Chi-Chi’s heart danced with a hint of nervous excitement as she mulled over her response. A momentary flicker of hesitation graced her features, swiftly concealed behind a self-assured smile. “Oh, it’s actually a rare Italian name,” she offered smoothly, as if revealing a cherished secret. “My parents were captivated by their love for Italy when they chose it.” The practiced art of deception flowed effortlessly from her lips—a reflex she couldn’t always rein in. Words seemed to have a will of their own, slipping out without her conscious consent.

“That’s what I would have said if it were Italian,” she added with a light giggle. Her confident and playful demeanor aimed to sweep away any raised eyebroows. “But it’s not. It’s actually Nigerian. My family—my parents are from there, you know—an ethnic group called Igbo. I was named after my great-grandma, who happened to be the daughter of a chief.” Her smile widened as she told a small 'information about herself, playing with her necklace as she looked down and up at him again, her wide smile shortening to a small smirk as she tried to guess his name.

She thought of multiple answers- there was Siah, Harris, Hatris, Aiden- he looks like an Aiden or at least his name started with the later A, actually he also looked like someone she had seen once scrolling through social media but before she could click on the profile had accidentally refreshed her page. She forgot what the page was about or if it was actually him- she cocked her head as if staring at him actually for the first time since they talked. Yes, if she remembered correctly though her mind was still quite blurry about the looks of that guy. He shared a similar skin tone to ‘A’ name looking guy, same adorable looking puppy eyes, same lips, but different hairlines, if she remembered correctly the guy had locs instead of a fade. Eh, possible ‘A’ name guy did not look like a social media influence, that was not to say he could not be- he could, Chi truly believes he could but currently he did not look like he was one but she thinks she remembers the other guy being an influencer instead of a simple social media account?

Her eyes brightened when the guy told her Siah was actually his middle name, “I got at least part of your name correct.” She said clapping to herself, “Though, who would have thought I would get the middle name correct instead of the first- but you know what a name is a name.” She said playfully as she waited for him to say more. He had told her that his name was technically Hebrew, that he was muslim and that he had lived in the uk his entire life. “So you’re a london boy? Do you enjoy nights at brixton, Shoreditch in the afternoon?” She teased, reciting lyrics to a song at the end. “Please tell me you know that reference, and I don’t sound stupid. You know Took me to back to Highgate, met all of his best mates, So I guess all the rumors are true, You know I love a London boy” At the end,her voice had lowered sounding flirty as she pointed at him at the ‘london boy part’. Chi-Chi was not a major Taylor swift fan, but she did like to play her music here and there, especially her old music and the album 1989 and reputation which happened to be some of her favorite TS albums.

“Avery,” she repeated, watching it roll of her tongue flawlessly, “Avery’” She repeated again, “Cute name,” She found herself saying, her gaze going from his lips up to his eyes, “Almost as cute as the person with the name.” She smiled, remembering that she had also gotten the part that his name would start with A right she found herself clapping again. “Sorry, I had to clap. I guessed slightly correctly again- your name starts with A!” She said, “Has anyone ever told you, you give so much A name vibes?” Chi–Chi asked. “And thank you Avery for validating my choice.” She said with a playfull bow, when he told her that she was right by default. “Aiden, Avery- I prefer Avery though.” She flirted. But yes! Truly, Avery was a cute name, which fitted his face that was very adorable and well defined. He kind of reminded her of a puppy.

They had gone to the bar, and Chi-Chi had ordered a fruity, diluted strawberry drink, while Avery had only ordered water. Making her question if she had made the right choice, but before she could wonder anymore, He had asked her what he thought he should have after the water and Chi-Chi thought about it, hmm, Chi-Chi pondered for a moment, considering the options. “Well, if you’re in the mood for something refreshing but still non-alcoholic, you might enjoy a virgin mojito,” she suggested with a playful grin. “It’s got that zesty kick from the lime and mint, perfect for a light and crisp taste. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, you could go for a classic lemonade with a twist, maybe add a splash of ginger for some extra oomph.” Her eyes twinkled, “Or I can always be your inspiration and you can take a strawberry daiquiri so we can twin.” She teased, “But I don’t know if that would be up to your taste, by the way what’s your taste?” She questioned, “Like in general, for drinks, foods, sports, nations and maybe…” She paused her eyes looking around as she bit her lips, excitement visible in her eyes, “In people?” She prompted. “Also random question but did you ever have dreads?” She said recalling her previous question.

“I was born in Beverly Hill-”

Well sht

Here was MJ celebrating the fact that they seem to have share something similar to the other- both having residency in LA, when the residency Phoebe had was in Beverly Hills- the land of the rich, and the residency MJ had was in Nevin. “Oh,” MJ found herself saying, offering a forced smile. “Must be nice,” Must be really nice, rubbing shoulders with celebrities, and having your own indoor swimming pool. Well, actually no. Sure, they all might seem appealing on the surface, but the reality of it all? She couldn’t help but feel that it would be overwhelming.

Luxury was cool and all, but MJ preferred the comfort of her nice, humble house. Sure, she wouldn’t mind if it were a bit bigger, but it was acceptable. The thought of living near celebrities and navigating the extravagant lifestyle didn’t quite appeal to her. There was a simplicity in her life that she cherished, a stark contrast to the glitz and glamour often associated with places like Beverly Hills.

With a thoughtful expression, MJ turned her attention back to Phoebe. “So, have you been in Beverly Hills all your life, or did you move around a bit? You mentioned living in Beijing for a while,” she inquired, genuinely curious. “Do you enjoy traveling?” MJ wondered if Phoebe’s experiences had left her with a taste for adventure or if she found comfort in the familiarity of her hometown. If MJ had the money, she would have traveled more often- never live there, because well she would be home-sick. LA has been her home all her life, but travel there, go to nice homily areas (no tourist attractions) and just see how it feels to truly live, to truly live without responsibilities weighting in her shoulders, to experience some sort of freedom, what people liked to call the 'LA way. ‘You have never truly lived In La unless you experience the La glam’ people would often say, and though MJ was in no rush to experience any "LA’ glam, to give up her nice homily lifestyle (well technically she is being forced to give it up right now) and live like the stereotypical Californian resident, she had always thought that maybe a little glam wouldn’t hurt, by that she meant travelling not rubbing shoulders with celebrities or billionaires- not that she would hate it, it’s just not her thing? No one wants to be reminded about how financially down they are in a room of people who don’t even know what it means to be financially ‘down’

“Naah frr” Mj said agreeing with Phoebe’s sentiment, “I thought I was about to for sure freeze up, coming in here. I thought I would have been ok
but this chill is on a whole other level. Like, my idea of cold was a light jacket, maybe a scarf. Not this ‘bundle up in layers’ kind of cold,” MJ confessed with a half-smile. It was her first time ever experiencing a ‘bundle up in layers’ type of cold , this type of shxt just did not happen in Los Angelos, where it was always mostly sunny- sure sometimes there is wind here and there but definitely never as cold as here. Heck, she wouldn’t have even experienced this type of cold if not for her brother who was-

Sigh, now was not the time to get angry at her younger brother. She can relieve her anger when she calls him tomorrow to check- right, no phones, allowed just her fcking luck. You know what- she just needed a drink, something to cool down. She looked up at Phoebe, asking if she wanted to get some drinks, cutting herself up when she almost said my treat and then asking if she knew where the bar was.

MJ grinned in response to Phoebe’s playful demeanor, feeling a sense of relief wash over her as the tension melted away, “Well, then.” Mj look around, “Let’s start?”

Day 0 | Arrival at the House | With Mars

As the girl pouted about not being able to play this game on her phone, Tobias couldn’t deny that he found her adorable, especially as she crossed her arms. She did have a point about this being a chance for them to detox. He lived his life basically tied to his phone so maybe not being allowed to have it would be good for him, whether he liked it or not. She complimented his tattoo, gesturing to the compass underneath his watch and he nodded when she asked if it had a special meaning.

“Thank you. It kind of represents me wanting to find myself.” He answered, chuckling when he realized how cheesy that sounded. Although cheesy was probably better than the full truth, which definitely would have killed the vibe. “That sounded way better in my head but it’s true. Compasses help you find your way and I definitely could have used a compass for life when I was a kid. I felt very lost for most of my childhood. This one is less meaningful, though. I just got it because I’m a journalist.” He added, showing her the tattoo on his other wrist. He noticed that she had more than a few tattoos herself, which piqued his curiosity. “Do any of your tattoos have a special meaning?” He asked, turning the question onto her.

Marcia…but most people call me Mars.

Mars. He repeated to himself. It was a fitting name for her. She seemed unique and a unique girl deserves a unique name. “Those are both very beautiful names.” He responded. “You can call me Toby if you’d like.”

Mars insisted that the cold wasn’t that bad but when she said that it was her bad for dressing the way she did, Toby took off his jacket. “Here.” He said as he offered it to her. “You look amazing, definitely the right choice for a dating show, but you shouldn’t have to feel cold because no one told you what the weather was like. Wouldn’t want you catching a cold now.” Toby was fully aware that he was starting to sound like his mother but it slipped out before he could think it through. He had to admit that he was a little shocked she didn’t look up the weather beforehand but then he remembered that not everyone was addicted to research and too curious for their own goods.

“Desiree, its a pleasure to meet you too.” he said with a smile. Desiree Nghiem. A lovely name for a beautiful girl. He’d have to remember that. She then continued, asking whether he often drew girls he was interested in. He couldn’t help the slight smirk that formed on his lips as he said, “Just when they’re absolutely gorgeous, and I know I’ll be thinking about them later.” He didn’t know much about her, but he knew at least based on looks alone she’d stay on his mind. “Now tell me Desiree, how has there not been someone back home lucky enough to earn your heart?” Surely she had a line of people waiting for her time back home.

Avrey gave her a really puzzled look when she said her name was italian… It doesnt… sound italian… at all. He thought. But watching the serious look on her face, he figured she might perhaps be credible. I mean, if there was any sort of misunderstanding it had to be his fault. He chipperly smiled then, about to apologize before she confessed to the bluff.

Ohhhhhh. Totally. He hadn’t believed that at all so he laughed a bit nervously. “You said that with so much confidence, I would have gone along with it.” He chuckled, then listened to the actual history behind her name. He thought it was really cool that she was from Nigeria, he did not know alot of people from that country, maybe a handful over the years. He also was a bit intruiged by the subject of ethnic groups. With the way she spoke about “chiefs” he wondered what the organization was like. “That’s really cool, are those kind of like tribes?” Avery asked curiously, because he remembered someone else having mentioned that before. In the middle of his speech though, he noticed the little look she gave him, and he smirked a bit too. Her energy was insanely charming, and honestly, a bit rare. He hoped she liked him too, because being her match would be an honor.

“That’s true. How did you even know that? Do you have some superpower you haven’t told me about?” He asked with a soft smile, teasing her a bit. “I think that would be a good thing to mention to your match.” Avery spoke hypothetically, because they did not know who matches were yet, but his sentence came out sounding like an assertion that he believed he was her match #accidental rizz.

She recited song lyrics and he smiled again, recognizing the Taylor-Swift-like sound of her words. Growing up, he had never been much of a swiftie, but his small amount of friends were mostly all girls, so he had gotten used to the sound of her music. Personally, he only liked a few of the songs. Fortunately for Chinyere, this was one of them, because he considered it representation, duh.

She pointed at him when she reached the “london boy” part of the song, and he genuinely laughed. Her demeanor seemed a bit cheesy, which he wasn’t used to, but thought was very flattering on her. To most heterosexual man, he imagined she would be the ideal woman, or at least the ideal personality. Her prowess was feminine, and not at all risque. It was innocent, and it reminded him of a type of love much purer than the things society saw today.

“Yes, I do know the song.” He chuckled. “Is this your way of saying you fancy me?” Avery teased, following along with the theme of those lyrics, but he was a bit embarrassed, so he looked down in an attempt not to blush. “Because I like your american smile.” He admitted, failing not to smile as the words flowed.

She complimented his name, and he gave her a sweet look. All of the things she was saying were so cute, it was like she did not miss a single beat. Even the way she applauded herself was adorable. “You’re welcome Chinyere.” He said, not using her nickname because he liked her whole name too. It was very pretty, and much more serious than a platonic nickname would sound. She suggested he had a type of “vibe” and he was a bit confused. “I actually haven’t gotten that before. What’s your definition of A name vibes?”

He listened to her suggestions about drinks, and thought to himself, the idea of “twinning” with her seeming like the best option. “Alright, let’s twin.” He agreed, and then turned to the bartender. “Strawberry Daquiri, please.” Avery asked courteously, remembering to use his manners.

“In people?” Avery questioned, and then teased her. “Someone’s forward. But I’ll answer your question” He sassed. “I like girls who know what they want.” Mostly because he doesn’t, but we move. “Usually a bit quirky, like they have unique style, or they’re a little more assertive than the average person.” He said, lightly informing her that he liked more dominant women, at least socially. Sexually, he’s a bit more dominant, but… not completely. So far, he did not necessarily believe this girl to be her match, but she was absolutely an angel, and he would not mind geting to know her more.
“And no I haven’t had dreads yet, why do you ask?”

Elijah watched the way Ava’s smile brightened when she began to speak about how she loves photography and has been lucky to make it as far as she has. “It really does.” Both of them completely understood what it was like taking your passion, and making it into a career. “What started your love of photography, if you don’t mind me asking?”

“Thank you.” he said in response to her complimentary words. “I just hope to help remind people of good memories, and help give an opportunity for some new ones.”

He nodded with a smile when Ava spoke about his grandmother. He would always talk highly about her to anyone. He knew how much his grandma had done, and the only negative he had to say about her was that she would likely overfeed his dog while he’s on the show. Though, when Elijah asked about Ava’s life at home, he could see a slight hesitation as she spoke. He wasn’t going to push her if she wasn’t comfortable. “That’s good that they’re there for you. That’s how family should always be, supportive and there for each other through all of the ups and downs.” Elijah certainly knew that with his family.

Day 1 - Date Day

Alright everybody! It’s time for the first date of the season!

Tomer and Avery were both selected and given the opportunity to bring a girl with them on a date. Each received a date card upon waking up in the morning, and were able to ask the girl of their choice to spend the day with them. Tomer chose Amberleigh, and Avery chose Phoebe, so these two pairs will be going Ice Skating! (They’ll also get to share a meal as well.)

Meanwhile, for everyone not on the date, they will have the day to vote on which pair to send into the Truth Booth! Whenever they choose, they can stop by the main living room and cast their vote. Then at the end of the date, the pair with the most votes will enter the truth booth, while the others gather in the main living room, for everyone to find out if the chosen pair is a Perfect Match.

Also everyone, just a reminder, you can clone to finish the previous day’s interactions. Just no starting a conversation for the previous day. (Though if they’re interacting during the current day, you can say they interacted the previous day even if it wasn’t RPed, and write a little about the interaction alongside information for their current interaction)
