Mornings are just wonderful, aren’t they? Don’t try to argue with Kian about it because he would give you 101 reasons why they are, why it’s soo good to wake up earlier and start your day with something positive. That’s why he’s been practicing that kind of lifestyle for as long as he can remember now. Being an assistant professor does come with some responsibilities and a lot of stress, not so much free time so before all of his classes he likes to spend his time at the gym.
Ah, gym… It’s something, isn’t it? For Kian it truly is a form of therapy, a part of his morning routine he doesn’t skip often. A reason why he was up early even on this morning. Why he was the first one to open the door of the gym and spend an hour of his time there. In a more ideal setting, he’d be able to take a run somewhere outside but he’s here… In Alaska and unfortunately that was not an option. But he was here for other reasons so the boy can’t complain.
Sure, he could maybe try to escape, take a run somewhere but that would probably result in him getting stuck and having the whole team try to rescue him - quite a show he’d make? How much would the views go up? Would he become the favorite contestant to people watching? If he were the one watching he’d *love" himself. Maybe… he would try such a thing, later. Now what he needs is breakfast, another step to his routine.
Not changing into his outfit of the day yet, straight from the gym he went to the kitchen where he was almost immediately greeted by a beautiful face. If he remembers correctly - Ava. She seemed like a sweet girl last night when he got a chance to talk to everyone for a bit. “I can help?!” He asked in a way that sounded more like a suggestion, like an opportunity she should not miss on. Ignoring other food around them, he approached her, leaning on the counter as he looked down at what she was preparing. “Classic.” Kian laughed lightly, looking up to meet her eyes for a second before straightening back up and changing his expression. “Listen and trust me,” he started, sounding serious this time. And he was. He might not look like it but if you need a help with cooking, this guys knows a thing or two thanks to having to take care of himself alone from a young age and preparing food almost every single day. “Lemon juice and red pepper flakes - that’s what you’re missing.” He made a short pause, looking at her with a silly grin on his face. “You’ll thank me later… But I’ll go with something else today,” Kian added, stepping away from the girl to grab something else for himself.
“How was your night, Ava? Right?” Searching for pans, he glanced at her as he questioned, the smile still on his face. “Any big plans for the day? Not like we can really go anywhere, but sneaking into the limo our lucky friends will be riding in today is always an option. Wanna bet what that is all going to be about?” He continued, not letting silence settle in the room. A thing Kian was known for.
