Alright, this is still a work in progress, but I’m trying to go out of my comfort zone with this one.

""

It’s mainly tracing a photo, since I’m trying to draw one of my RP characters. And I just started a little bit ago, but I feel really good about most of it so far.

I recently just finished this art piece!
Edit: I usually draw episode characters, so it’s my first time drawing something that don’t related to it. Maybe give some pointers or tips I might need to know too?

Be as blunt as needed

Considering that it’s your first time it looks incredible! :yellow_heart:

I noticed that the hands/arms are a lot smaller in comparison to the whole body.

I dig that smile, and I’m a big fan of line variation, myself, so I like that you’re experimenting with that! I can’t say much with regards to tracing other than to really focus on what you’re tracing and how you can use those techniques in future!

Taking the time to focus on how hair works, facial anatomy, etc. is the important part

So, I can tell you’re used to Episode characters, those hands and collarbones are a dead giveaway. I love the idea of the piece, and the stylised bubbles and even the wound itself all work incredibly well. I’d say the hair is great as well, it looks like nice stylised hair. I’d say the main thing you need to work on is proportion. It was coming fgrom drawing Episode characters that led to the proportion issues here, actually. The hands are a bit small and the head a little big.
Also, what way is she facing? Her head is tilted all the way to the side, but her collarbones look like she’s almost front on, then her boobs are a little further to the side. It seems a little confused.
The pose is wonderful, the only pointer I’d give would be using action lines. A singular line running through the pose to make it look smoother or more natural, but it works really well. The clothes are also solid too, the way the material is moving and flowing is a good base for how that actually works.

I’d say the next steps would be highlight and shadow. Your shading is solid, however it is very faint, when shadows can get quite noticeably darker underwater and highlights more muted. Aside from that I’d say working on bodily and facial proportions are the important next steps. In future try to take from life, you don’t need to draw straight from life. Just observe things like how big the head is compared to the torso, his big hands are, etc.

Keep it up either way! I’d love to see more of your work!

So, I decided to draw a character based on the show called Hazbin Hotel. My OC’s name is Lorene Meyer and she was drawn by Blue (you can check his drawing on the Digital Art Thread - it’s awesome). Here’s my attempt

Lorene Meyer - demon version: Doll Face

The photo doesn’t give the colors justice. It’s still not done, by the way. I have to draw her as a human and I’ll do the same with my three other characters

Please, give me some pointers! I’d love to hear them!

I really like this drawing a lot, you have a lot of talent, lovely.
Though I haven’t a lot of knowledge when it comes to drawn art, I think maybe you could work on shading. Adding a little definition to her chin/neck and shoulder to bring the image out a little from the paper.

Shannii isn’t the author, as the author is the mascot and her own character.
