what do you think about the supposed difference between the two?

to me, bisexuality means attraction to any two (or more) genders, the same and other than their own. pansexuality is when gender is not taken into account when dating.

i’d also like to mention that people who do use pansexuality to include trans people in their dating pool are kind of, transphobic. saying that basically is saying that a trans person is not wholly the gender they identify with, and that is transphobic. bisexual people are still bisexual for being attracted to trans people! or non-binary people!

i saw something that explained bisexuality as sort of the combination of the literal meanings of hetero and homo as the two, so attraction to both people of the same gender and those of different genders

Pansexuality is the attraction to a person regardless of their gender.
