“Never in my life have I heard you say something that made less sense than that”
The man chuckled as he watched her from his spot on the floor, leaning so his head was propped up by his elbow, looking at her from the side. “I think I might be a littleeee tipsy” Daniel mumbled with a smile. “So we threw sense out of this elevator the minute I stepped in,” he mumbled, frowning slightly when he remembered why he came into the elevator in the first place. Though it disappeared once again as Val started talking once again - explaining what their feud was about. Though it seemed as if she remembered as little as he did.
“Absolutely depressing. Such a bright future friendship spoiled by that one thing you did that time,” Daniel laughed. “Or maybe I did it, who knows,” Daniel mumbled, as he raised his eyebrow at the ‘high school,’ question. “I was admitted to Harvard and MIT when I was 8. I turned them down because I realized an 8-year-old in Harvard was just asking to get sh!tted on. Plus I had people here I cared about here,” Daniel revealed, remembering the moment he got his acceptance - a little Jessica attempting to figure out what the letter had said as she had lived with him at that point… only a few years after the worst moment in his life. Though he ended up burning the letters, not even telling his parents about his acceptance.
Placing the vodka in between them, Daniel raised his eyebrow. “But first… everything said in this room stays between us… deal?” Daniel questioned, looking at her with his eyebrow raised. In retrospect, they would probably both get too wasted to even remember the night. Though in case, it had to be said. “Let’s start easy. Worst sex you’ve had with a senior at Cerulean High? Is it Steve the captain of the Football team? He likes big talk but I swear he’s vanilla as all sh!t?” Daniel questioned, “Mine was Emily Mackenzie. I swear don’t ever sleep with someone with two first names. Completely awful. She screams like a banshee and tied me up with laces. F*cking laces. Like the ones that tie your shoes. She then proceeded to purr as I tried to sleep. Yes purr. Like a cat. Not a quiet cat. No it wasn’t cute… she also wouldn’t leave and ended up having breakfast with my Dad and I and told him that we had been dating,” Daniel stated, shivering at the memory before raising his eyebrow as he awaited her response.
