Talking to ruby was nice. Punching Daniel’s stupid face was a lot nicer, but finding people he could get along with, without them instantly judging him and claiming he’s bad and trouble, was always something Andy appreciated.
But even that couldn’t keep his attention from being swept away as soon as one certain person walked into the room.
Tala Garzon.
The same girl that against all odds managed to steal the boy’s heart away in every possible way. The only one person he ever truly loved.
It has been months since he had seen her, too many months. Ever since she went away, when junior year ended. It was halfway through senior year, and after that, and after Juvie, all these months and miles in between still didn’t make his heart beat with any less intensity than it has before.
A while passed, after all this time they definitely needed to talk. Finding an empty room they both went in so they could talk without people seeing or making any assumptions whatsoever.
After all, everything that happened was still a secret to most people out there.
Looking at her, the only thing he wanted to do was kiss her, he had wanted to for so long but couldn’t, and even though he knew he shouldn’t, he just had to. And the taste and feeling lingered on him for a long time afterwards.
•22/3/2020 - funeral day•
The past few days weren’t ideal for Andy, as he woke up Sunday morning he found out a girl from his class, Candice, died. which was terrible even though he didn’t know her.
But it just got swallowed in the pain and anger Andy felt regardless.
Never in his life he wished he never had social media, so he wouldn’t have to see them together.
Tala and Daniel, the person he loved the most and the person he hated more than anything, together.
Every time he thought of it, he remembered the kiss they shared at the night of the party. When it happened, it made him purely happy, when he was gone, there was nothing he missed more than the way he felt when he was with her, even though he knew he had to move on, he just couldn’t. But now? Now when he thinks about it, all it does is makes him feel deep utter pain, heartbreak, anger… all together in a bundle of mess that was Andy.
School wasn’t going to happen either way, there was a funeral. But Andy was in no mood to go to a funeral.
So he texted Mikel, the knew Mikel would be the right person to call when he felt like that, angry and broken. All he wanted was to punch a goddamn wall. Correction, he wanted to punch Daniel, which he already did, but now he had a whole new reason.
Are you going to the funeral or can we get drunk and break sh!t?
