Blue Royalty | Official Thread

ℂ𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕚𝕔𝕖 ℂ𝕝𝕒𝕣𝕜𝕖:

The brisk winter air brought a slight shiver down Candice’s spine as she clutched to the grey oversized sweater she was wearing for momentary warmth - soon followed with a sip of the warm cinnamon hot chocolate she had ordered moments earlier - allowing the warmth of the drink to fill her body. Though it was cold, Candice had opted to sit outside on the patio of the coffee shop she went to every morning. She found that there was something about the cold weather that always allowed her to think clearly… even… breathe easier. There was a freedom about the winter months that Candice couldn’t necessarily explain - though that was probably why it was her favorite season.

As she continued to sip on her drink, Candice went back to the drawing she was working on - her second favorite pastime after photography. And, in all honesty, Candice really needed to clear her mind… especially as Blue Royalty tasks were being released later that day. That fact mixed in with the ultimatum Delilah had offered… not to mention her mother’s text about getting on that list “or else” was starting to weigh down on Candice. All she needed to do was complete this task - Candice doubted it would be enough to push her on the list and it would get her mom off her back for the time being as well… win/win… right? Delilah wouldn’t release the photos she took and Candice’s mom wouldn’t do what she had threatened if Candice didn’t take this competition seriously.

It was with this thought in mind that Candice briskly finished her drink and picked up the dozen pastries she had ordered from the shop before driving to school - making sure to post her “Christmas” campaign shoot that her mom had gotten for Candice with Lancôme Beauty on her Instagram page. For the next few weeks - Candice was, and I sh!t you not, required to do a Christmas post every day - with the last one revealing she was the new “spokesperson” for Lancôme. Though - all in all, Candice didn’t necessarily mind it - modeling made her mother happy so Candice did what she could.

Reaching school premises, Candice immediately stopped by the front office to drop off the pastries - a tradition she had made for herself every Winter Season since Freshman year - and begin walking towards her locker. Giving passing smiles, ‘Hey’s’, and ‘Happy Holidays’ to almost everyone around her, Candice only stopped when she felt the buzz of her phone - indicating her tasks for this Holiday season were ready. Taking a glance at her phone as she continued walking, Candice could feel her eyes widening at the name… as well as the suggested gift.

She could feel her heart dropping at the words, though, she didn’t really have time to think about it when she felt herself physically running into someone in front of her (In all honesty, she shouldn’t have been on her phone and walking at the same time). Candice felt her losing a solid grasp of her phone - which fell to her feet along with the man’s things as well. “F*ck, I’m so sorry. I wasn’t paying attention where I was going,” Candice revealed - crouching down to help him pick his things up.

It was only when she had gathered the items and was handing it to the man when shock befell her features. “You… what the h*ll are you doing here?” Instantaneous dread filled her body when she saw the man’s face - her mind flickering towards a long-forgotten memory of last summer where she woke up next to him after a drunken stupor - resulting in a ‘walk of shame.’

Looking around to make sure no one was watching her, Candice grabbed her phone and pulled the man into a supply closet discreetly - closing the door behind her. “Okay… sh!t… f*cking sh!t. This isn’t happening…I don’t know what you’re doing here… but you and I didn’t happen. Please… don’t tell anyone that I slept with you… Uh… Sebastion? Kyle? I’m sorry… what’s your name again?” Candice whispered in the small, dark room - an attempt to make sure she nipped this in the bud.

“Sadie?” Quietly repeating her name and crossing his arms, he looked her up and down as if that would somehow help him remember. He did try, just a tiny bit to remember but he gave up quickly, not having energy to deal with that now. She is here now so why does it matter? “Yes, yes. That’s me,” nodding, he quickly added, noticing he completely ignored her the first time. She was right so he felt like there was no need to tell her that, a lot of people did know who he was after all. And he did talk to a lot of people on social media so that didn’t help at this situation.

“Nothing like a team jacket, huh?” Looking down at his outfit the moment she complimented him back, he laughed lightly trying his best not to look annoyed. That’s what he would usually wear - just some ripped jeans, plain but expensive T-shirt and his teams jacket just for the purpose of showing off. And she wasn’t annoying, he never minded having this kind of conversation but the timing just wasn’t right. In a way it made him more confident, it always felt good to be approached by girls trying to get some attention from him. “I bet you want it, huh?” Jokingly saying it, referring to his jacket, he shook his head looking around the hallway. Her question and all the decorations did make him sigh as he took a few steps away from the lockers, placing his hands in his pockets. “Yeah..” murmuring, he took a better look at every little thing hanging from the ceiling, hating every moment of it but she probably couldn’t tell until he looked back at her with a guilty smile on. “This sucks. I hate it. Sorry for ruining your Christmas spirit.” Unlike everyone else in his family he was never excited about holidays, he never cared about that. The only good parts were gifts and that part was ruined for him today.

“You are new, aren’t you?” Bluntly saying it through a chuckle he figured the only reason he didn’t remember her was because he had never seen her at this school. But from the begging of this year he didn’t pay that much attention to people that weren’t on the list.

Delilah was not one to dress specifically for the holidays, but she still managed to find the perfect outfit that effortlessly linked with the festive occasion. As she was putting on her jacket, she went to social media to post a picture taken the week before for her hundreds of thousands of followers to see, proudly owning one of the most followed accounts in the senior class, though being beaten by the worst of people… Maybe she could at least get the most liked post in the class.

@delilah.rhx has posted an image on social media

As her phone started to blow up with likes and comments, she received two new text messages. She went to the more important one, Blue Royalty, of course, and it gave her all the information Delilah needed to know without even bothering to look on the school one. Though to some, her task may be hard, but Delilah knew exactly how to get the gift for France she was asked to get. A satisfied smile crossed her face as they were practically handing her the points it was so easy.

She had to roll her eyes and laugh at the effort the school had gone to for the holidays. But, at least Delilah fit right in. Like usual, she walked down the corridor with her effortless sass that caught the eyes of pretty much everyone. As she continued, someone she recognised caught her eyes, and just looking at him made her roll her eyes again.

“So would you be referring to the fourth or fifth time?” Delilah replied to Lyonrad, circling around him before stopping to face him. “Well, there’s not much of a difference between them- they were all your fault.”

Unlike her sister, Reina slept as long as she could. She wasn’t interested in the whole Blue Royalty thing that Sadie had quickly gained an interest in. Popularity didn’t matter to her. She just wanted to make some friends and feel like she actually fit in. She didn’t want to be the outcast anymore. She woke up to her alarm, which left her barely enough time to throw on a pair of jeans, a T-shirt, and a jacket before grabbing her stuff and walking out the door with Sadie. It was only after Reina separated from her sister in the decked out halls of the school that Reina finally checked the messages on her phone. She was assigned a guy she didn’t even know for Secret Santa, and the terms of how the gift should be for points made it even harder. Shoving her phone in her pocket, she went to her locker to put her stuff away. She had no idea how she was going to do the secret Santa.

The day seemed normal. Kara got out of her mother’s car and started walking up to the school. She made sure that her dress wasn’t wrinkled as she pulled it down while walking. Her jacket kept her warm but she still felt the need to hug herself from the cold breeze. That was one thing that she hated about Christmas coming. It made her nose red and she couldn’t wear all of the things she liked. The day seemed normal but it wasn’t because now it was time for secret santa. She thought about this as she stood in front of someone’s locker while tapping through her phone. She had to give Tala a gift, but she wasn’t sure what she would like, but her mood was sour because of something else. Her tasks.
“I can’t believe I have to freaking do this.” She said while mindlessly tapping through her phone.

Calen James Hunter

Calen made no effort in dressing for the wintery Christmas season, in fact, he dressed for the complete opposite - looking as if he was about to take a trip to the beach. He wasn’t a big fan of Christmas, unlike the rest of his family who celebrated it for the entire month, carrying out their own traditions that Calen continuously left himself out of. But the only element he did take part in was the Secret Santa, as the Hunter family had managed to turn even that into a competition, and Calen always took part in competitions.

What he would soon learn is that Secret Santa was something the Hunter household had in common with Cerulean High, who made it into a big thing every year. So, when he received the text from the school, he didn’t have to read through the way-too-detailed rules and just went straight to the important part: Valerie Wood. It was a name he recognised, from his memory Calen figured had met her at the first party… but his memory still couldn’t put a name to the face. Before he could try to, he then received a message from Blue Royalty.

It came to no surprise that Blue Royalty had managed to turn this into a task. But, to his surprise, his task seemed… pretty easy. But that didn’t make him excited, as he had a feeling that Blue Royalty knew what they were doing. Why would they want him to give something like that? Other than the fact that it gave him an opportunity to show off his famous ascendant, it didn’t seem like something that would effect the other person. He continued to think about it as he made his way to school.

As he entered the doors of the building, Calen could quickly infer from the extortionate decor that the school… loved Christmas. And that they had way more money than they really needed. He shook his head as he made his way to his locker, that he had completely mastered how to unlock after Dominic had shown him.

But before he even had the chance to show off his locker unlocking skills, Calen was abruptly pushed backwards by someone who was walking past. He sighed, before realising from her apologies that it was an accident and crouching down with her to get his things. “It’s oka—” He started before a look of realisation appeared on the stranger’s face… that started to also look familiar to him.

He hardly got the chance to make out who the person was as he was quickly pulled into a supply closet. Calen backed into the wall as she started panicking over his appearance at the school. He was trying to make sense of what she was saying, which proved to be difficult from the speed at which she was talking. But, what he could grasp was that they had slept together. Which, as he finally got to look at her for more than five seconds, seemed to be true.

“I think you’ll find it’s actually Calen,” He corrected. “You were close. But. I guess Sebastion or Kyle… works just as well.”

Now he was at a crossroads here. Calen had seen this girl around a bit, and he could guess that she was someone who was quite popular at the school. If people knew that he had slept with the popular girl… he would jump straight to the top of that social ladder. But now she was here, practically begging him not to tell anyone.

“Uhh… yeah, maybe,” Calen finally answered, vaguely. He didn’t want to give her any promises just yet, as he wanted to see how this would pan out for him if he actually had to keep it quiet. “It was a fun talk, though.” He added, placing his hand on the doorknob to attempt an escape.

France Auclair

All France could do, waking up with Christmas decorations in their living room, was to sigh with what it seems like an irk. The decorations were exaggerated for her—everywhere she goes, there would be at least ten christmas balls displayed everywhere. Some were even hidden slightly. What, are these supposed to be Easter Eggs? she thought, proceeding to the kitchen where her sister Lesedi was preparing for breakfast.

She did not disturb her and headed straight to the bathroom. Apparently, her personal one was getting stuck, and the plumber they called for service wasn’t arriving anytime sooner. She took a quick bath, and came back up to her bedroom to dress herself in a maroon sweater and checkered pants. She returned to the kitchen, her kitten heels clacking as she stepped down the stairs.

She took the patience to eat what her sister made for her, making sure not to accidentally get herself a belly fat. Her other sisters eventually joined her, teasing her about the Blue Royalty. She just rolled her eyes when one of them said she can’t make it, though it was just a joke on their part. “Puh-lease,” she said. “I’m France Auclair. I can do it, okay?”

Her sisters laughed again, but they immediately shut up when the eldest of them told them to. France chuckled at their funny faces. Lesedi had always treated her more like a daughter than a younger sister, which made her have an advantage of sympathy. Favoritism, it may seem, but maybe Kaya and Bella are just old enough to take care of themselves.

Bella offered her a ride, to which France accepted. So that she could make her day in Cerulean High the way she wanted, they purposely did not tell Lesedi when they left—she had planned to bring at least one bodyguard for France, worrying of her safety. France was well aware of the fame, but she was quite confident that she wouldn’t really get crashes by fangirls and boys.

Bella quickly parked her car for France to get out, quickly saying goodbye in fear of being crowded enough not to leave anymore. France laughed, walking through the steps of Cerulean High property. She wrinkled her nose at the Christmas decorations, having enough of it ever since waking up.

As she made her way to the entrance, she noticed a girl seemingly confused as a boy left her. Quickly, she assumed they must’ve broken up. The boy did not look as good as well himself. Shaking her head, she headed to the girl, her chin held up as it always have been.

“That did not turn out well for you, huh?” she said, crossing her arms as she stood beside the girl.

Christmas, Valerie’s favorite time of the year has finally arrived.
Christmas was her favorite holiday in general, but even in school she enjoyed it. Secret Santa was a tradition she always liked and hopes to get someone good this year.
She got ready and headed to the school, walking through the halls as her phone buzzed, secret santaaa she thought to herself and opened her phone
Elodie ? Okay nice, nice.
She was glad she got someone she knows quite well on this, now she can kind of know what she liked, but still. She had a bad feeling about this.
She put her phone back in her pocket, but after a few seconds it buzzed again
what now? she thought and opened her phone, it was a message from blue royalty
She froze and looked at her phone with complete shock. How-
She sighed and put her phone away, she wasn’t pleased at all, to say the least, but nothing surprised her at this point.
I can’t believe I have to freaking do this.
She turned her head and spotted Kara, her classmate.
“Neither” she said and ran a hand through her head leaning against the lockers “who’d you get?” She asked even though it’s secret Santa

Brandon was dreading coming to school today. He didn’t even want to get out of bed but of course his dad forced him to get up. He was still mad at him about not completing any of his tasks so that played a part in his anger. Everytime he looked at his phone he thought about the task he had to do, and his dad’s words.
“It would be so easy for you to be known.”
Giving a gift to Candice was easy, but he was worried about other things.

“I can’t do that task. I just can’t.” He thought while getting off of the bus and going into the school. As He was walking with his head down, He looked up and saw Selena in the hallway. He waved to her but continued walking. She probably knew something was wrong since he usually talked to her every morning. The cafeteria was warm but he still put his hoodie over his head while eating a bagel.

She finally relaxed a little when he confirmed that his name was Dorian, and Sadie went back to having the smile on her face. So, clearly, following everyone on social media had been somewhat effective - as she had successfully remembered the names of their faces: Dorian being living proof of that fact.

“Yeah, nothing beats it,” She added on, forcing out laugh at what seemed to be a joke about the team jacket. That was a number one rule for her, to always laugh when people make jokes. Everyone wants to be funny, and they want to surround themselves with people who think they are funny - as they are the perfect ego-booster, and Sadie wanted to be that person for everyone. That’s why she laughed even more when Dorian asked if she wanted it. “Yeah, well, it does seem like it would fit me,” Sadie joked back, shrugging her shoulders. “So, of course, I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea.”

Sadie stood silently and she waited as Dorian looked around to find the right answer for her question. When he finally looked back at her, he gave a very blunt and straight-to-the-point response, which took Sadie quite by surprise. “Oh,” She couldn’t help but say. But then Sadie shook her head at herself, not wanting to seem like she’s rejecting his opinion, especially after he apologised. “No, no, that’s fine. Different strokes, right?” Sadie said, nonchalantly with a shrug and a smile.

Before she could attempt to find a new conversation started, Dorian asked her if she was new. “Yeah! Yes, yeah, my sister and I- well my whole family but we’re the only ones who are at the school- we just moved here,” Sadie replied, looking back at him as soon as she finished talking. “So have you been here since freshman year?” She asked, purposely directing the conversation back onto him.

Zion rolled out of bed and got dressed for the morning. They prepared themself a small omelette for breakfast, thinking about what to get Safiya for the secret santa. They knew what they had to do and they were completely prepared to do it. I’ll go to the mall after school. They thought, making a mental note to themself as they packed up their backpack and left their house, getting behind the wheel of their car.

They arrived at the school and walked in, noting the gleeful suspense in the air as everyone was gearing up for the secret santa. They walked to their locker and dumped any unnecessary items inside it, closing and locking it. They walked away from it, deciding that they’d hang out in the cafeteria until it was time for class.

Safiya had grown to love the holiday season.
She adored it.
Everything was jolly, merry, and just seemed a little bit more optimistic.
In her fuzzy sleeves that her arms arent long enough for, making her feel dainty.
And small,
Cozy and warm inside of her hoodie that worked like a forcefield against the wind.
Like using your blanket with the fan on but to go.

Of course, that meant she’d have to put a tab in her own individual beliefs in order for there to be the harmony that she so desires.
She’ll take a bullet for them to be happy, this was nothing
she’ll smile and pretend to be heterosexual.
And boy does she know how to put on an act.

This morning, she had chosen to walk to school, she missed walking around everywhere. Watching the sidewalk slide under her like a conveyor belt when she didn’t want to look up. And of course, take in the view, even if it was something plain. She just loved to take in the oxygen deep into her lungs. It reminded her of what she was grateful for. It felt like an instant, but it was worth forever.

She arrived at school shortly, and she was there early, like she usually is. Safiya stood anxiously outside for a while -totally worth it- leaning back against a wall until she got a notification and slid her finger to read the message quickly. It was from blue royalty. She read, AH! she was so excited about her secret santa, she pursed her lips to hide her smile. Gotta keep it a secret. But oooooooooo she got all giddy. She really wanted to talk about it but oh well, she wasn’t gonna ruin it for the rest of us.

Then when the group of students started walking in, Safiya followed, walking around the school, just hanging out for a bit since she didn’t have to go anywhere yet. She peered into one of the classrooms and remembered this was where Reina’s locker was. I should talk to her she thought, sliding her hands behind her back and intertwining her own fingers.

Safiya walked over to the other side of the hall trying to get herself together, Be cool, be cool She reminded herself before getting there and pressed the side of her fist against one of the lockers near Reina’s. “Hey” She looked at her face in a composed manner, waiting for a facial response. “Who’d you get for secret santa” She asked with a smirk. She knew, what a cliche, girl has a crush on best friend’s sibling. But god, she was something else. Safiya may be cool, but her eyes said it all. Her big innocent brown eyes say more than most people do in a lifetime. They’re silent but deadly, and often the flaw in the system when she lies. And right now, they were ratting her out.

For the last half an hour - after dropping off Jezebel - Daniel had been sitting in his “office” fulfilling requests that students had asked of him… that and casually posting an Instagram post. Well… it wasn’t really an office so much as an empty classroom that stayed empty for the discretion of Daniel Parker. What was he supposed to do if good old Principal Richardson had a few too many gambling debts that Daniel made disappear with a few clicks of his computer? Oh - that’s right, get his own office out of it. And Daniel truly had converted the space - all the stuffy chairs had been removed and changed with monitors. Doors having locks, etc. Ironically, most of the teachers had absolutely no idea this was here - for all they knew, this room had been undergoing renovations for the last… oh 4 years or so that he had been at this school.

“Next” Daniel uttered in the intercom - watching as a student entered the space - shaking as many of them had done when talking to daniel. “I… I took the SAT last week and… I… I’m not going to lie. I bombed it. But I really need to do well because my parents will murder me if I don’t get into Harvard,” Daniel shrugged lightly, asked for payment - and smiled as the man handed him an envelope with information on his own father - a well-known diplomat in the US.

“Done - I gave you 4 points off from a perfect score… just to make it seem real,” he stated - hacking the college board examination system and showing the man the changes. “Nice doing business with you,” Daniel stated, before closing the system and leading the man out. Daniel was getting tired of the easy “give me a better grade” hacks and was almost aching for something more exciting. Well… he didn’t really need to wait too long for something “exciting” when he found his phone buzzing with his secret Santa individual… not to mention the blue royalty version of the game. “What the…” he muttered, reading what he needed to get his person - his eyes widening ever so slightly as he saw the words.

Confusion met his features - though he wouldn’t let anyone see it as he exited his office - telling the kids waiting that he was closed for the day and to DM him if it was “urgent” - which nothing really ever was.

Though Daniel had initially left the room to look for a certain individual, he gave up on that quest after a few moments as it was fruitless. He’d find the individual sooner or later - though his attention was brought onto another individual in the hallway who seemed to be taking something out of his locker. Attempting to forget what his phone had said, Daniel walked over with his usual swagger and mischievous grin. “YOOOO MAMOUD” Daniel screamed even though he was already next to the man - jokingly messing the guy’s hair up. “What’s up? I’ve been meaning to ask - I’m headed to Aspen for the winter vacation in a week. Do you want to join? I’m “borrowing” my parent’s private jet so it’s free of charge?”

Dominic got out of bed and got ready for the day, getting dressed and gelling his hair to make it look more presentable. As he went downstairs for breakfast, he mulled over his gift for Candance. He thought about the recommendation he’d received. Yeah, I think it’s doable. He confirmed, writing a note into his phone to put it together later on. He went downstairs to find that breakfast had already been prepared for him. He ate it and grabbed the keys to his car, driving himself to school.

When he arrived, he went to his locker, sorting through the stuff he had on the shelf, putting necessary supplies into his backpack. When he finished, he locked his locker and sat down in front of it, pulling out his sketchbook to sketch up ideas for his gift.

“I think you’ll find it’s actually Calen… You were close. But. I guess Sebastion or Kyle… works just as well.”

Candice closed her eyes - her heart racing ever so slightly as she attempted to get her breathing under control. She could barely hear what he was saying as her mind repeated: This isn’t happening. This isn’t happening. She was never supposed to see this man again. Opening her eyes, she frowned at the “Yeah maybe” that escaped his lips. What the actual
fck
does ‘yeah maybe’ mean. Who the hell responds like that?* Candice Clarke had really screwed herself over this time. Perhaps to someone else, this wouldn’t matter: Running into a one night stand wouldn’t matter. But Candice had a reputation to uphold… she could already imagine her mother’s response if this got out. Not to mention that Candice couldn’t face a certain individual if this information would circulate around the school.

As he put his hand on the doorknob, Candice placed her foot on the door to block any exit. Candice was annoyed… p^ssed… maybe more than she had ever been in her life. Although it wasn’t all directed at the man standing in front of her, rather an accumulation of everything that had happened over the past few weeks, Calvin or whatever his name was had broken any resolve that Candice had been holding. “Look here *sshole, whatever happened a few months ago was a mistake… a mistake that obviously wasn’t very memorable…” Candice started. In all honesty, this wasn’t her. She wasn’t the type of person to confront anyone - let alone be this rude. It simply wasn’t in her nature and she always saw the best of everyone. However, this man with his “yeah, maybe” was the last straw in weeks of annoyances she had endured.

Walking closer to the man so she could look him in the eyes, she frowned “So for both of our sakes, please don’t spread the egotistical, narcissistic message that we slept together.” she stated, backing away to give him room. “Thank you and please leave 5 minutes after me,” she muttered at the end - not even giving him a moment to respond as she exited the storage closet and started walking quickly down the hallway to put as much room between herself and the man - a feeling of dread washing over her at what she had just done.

Brandon rarely felt like he had to be by himself but this was one of those times. He needed room to think. He looked up from his bagel when he saw someone come into the cafeteria. He never seen them before so he just looked back down at his food. Then they sat down in front of him. He wanted to cheer himself up and forget about his situation but he didn’t know how. He did know that it was polite to greet someone when they sat in front of him though. The thing was that he couldn’t bring himself to talk to anyone.
He smiled at them and then looked down again as a greeting. Being rude was the last thing he wanted to do but trying his best to say some type of greeting was okay.
