“Hmm… you might need to use one of those favors for that to come true Dorian because you know I love my junk food.”

“Oh, I will, both of my favors but I’m already thinking of more bets I could win. Two is just not enough and I’d like to use some for something else,” Dorian quickly replied, half joking. Yes, he did know how much she loved her junk food and of course he wasn’t going to stop her, just make sure she had something good once in a while. All this time it was only entertaining watching her try to eat like him when he made her do it, give her his protein shakes she hated so much but now there was something much bigger he had to take care of. "No, no, I don’t think so. He or she is going to be a little athlete only eating veggies,” he jokingly replied, laughing. But whatever ends up happening, he’s going to love that child as much as he loves its mother. And maybe he was actually hoping for a little replica of Jessica.

Letting her talk, he just looked at her with a sweet smile, enjoying the moment and trying not to feel guilty, in a way. If that was really the case she actually never missed his birthday. It also made him wonder what else did he got from her, what did he for so many years think it was just a gift from his mother, when it wasn’t. Wondering why and how did he get so lucky to have someone like her. Someone who still cared about him when his feelings were mixed… and he thought she didn’t. “You’re unbelievable. I love you so much,” keeping a smile on his face, he slightly shook his head and brought his lips down to hers for a short second before pulling back… or attempting to. It was hard to stay away from her now that he finally got her again, hard not to just hold her and kiss her every chance he gets so he quickly reconnected their lips, smiling through that kiss. “I don’t deserve you… You’re really making me look like the biggest d!ck,” laughing, he leaned back before continuing. “No, I didn’t see the inscription inside, someone told me about it… Your cousin. We had a fun time just before I found you but at least something good came out of it,” to avoid talking about Daniel and their encounter, Dorian quickly continued, asking about something they should probably figure out as soon as possible. It’s been more than two months since they started dating and hiding that from everyone, it’s what they were supposed to do now on this boat but what now? When their whole relationship got a bit more serious? “What are we going to do now? Do I get to leave this room with you or keep pretending?”

Jezebel Mallory Parker

There were no words to describe how Jezebel felt in that moment. She couldn’t put it into words if she tried. She could see the regret on Jordan’s face, they both knew that the kiss shouldn’t have happened. It was a mistake… If it hadn’t of been clear before, there was no doubt now that Jezebel still, and forever would, love Jordan like she had so long ago, but that didn’t change anything. She knew she had lost him. No matter what she felt, or what it meant that Jordan finally knew the truth about their baby, Jordan was still a married man, and they would never have that future together. He was with Sadie, and if Jezebel knew anything about Jordan, she knew he would do everything to make things right with Sadie. Jordan had made a mistake, one fueled by a moment of emotion and vulnerability. One mistake that shouldn’t have to define him. Jezebel had made more than enough mistakes herself that seemed to define her life, he didn’t deserve that. In some ways, the years had changed them, but in others, they were the same people that they were in high school. Jordan was still the person who was ready to take the blame on completely, even defending Jezebel to Riker, and go after Sadie. Jezebel, at that point felt just like the girl she was that senior year. It had taken a long time to bring her self confidence up, and to start to be good with everything in her life, knowing the past was behind her, but now… it seemed ten years brought less change than she thought. There was a large part of her that was broken in so many ways and breaking further, reliving old memories, both good and bad. She looked down as Jordan ran out to go find Sadie, only looking up afterwards for just a moment in Riker’s direction as she turned to leave the room herself. She didn’t want to be anywhere around Riker, she didn’t have enough energy emotionally to take it. Jezebel put enough blame on herself for so much, she didn’t need the blame from him added to it. “I never meant for this to happen… I didn’t want to hurt him…”

The part of him that trusted and saw Daniel as an important part of his life was dead and long gone, that part that looked up to him as his friend and as a person in general, it died along with their friendship all those years ago, or at least he thought he did. Because if it really fully died, he wouldn’t have answered Daniel’s question, yet he did. And for once, having an actual conversation that isn’t 100% spite was actually nice in a way, frankly, a part of him may have even missed that.

He wasn’t really one to beat himself up over issues in his life, but whether he was doing a good job with Kaya and her well-being in general was always an issue that didn’t leave his mind. Overall, he just wanted that kid to be happy and he simply just never believed he was enough to do that, no matter how hard he tried. But in a way, hearing the man that spent the past decade hating his guts say he was doing a good job made it sound more believable in a way, if it wasn’t true, why would he even bother saying it? ”Don’t heat that one every day” he said with a breath of a chuckle and took a sip of his drink. Didn’t mean he wasn’t still skeptical and hurt by things the man did over the years, but they were stuck after all, and a change, even for a little while, was always nice. ”Thanks though, means a lot” he told him and listened as he said something about the time vc had to get stitches ”Your kid got stitches and Val didn’t murder you in cold blood, everything else is a bonus” he joked.

*“I mean… he’s healthy and it’s going well. Can’t say this pregnancy was expected though… I was honestly ready to stop at one but… I don’t know, is it bad to be excited?"
”Hell no, it’s exciting” he said ”Plus, it’s a boy, totally different experience” he added, though he himself knew nothing about that considering he just had his little girl. Has the thought of another kid ever crossed his mind? It sure did, but being on his own wasn’t exactly the way to do that, and in general, was he even capable of raising another child? Never mind right now, but the next statement really got him in his thoughts.

“Andy… Ziah would want you to be happy you know… have you ever considered getting back into the dating scene?”
She did want that, he knew she did. And he couldn’t say he didn’t try, but truth be told, nothing was ever good enough. None of them could ever compare to what he had and lost, so eventually he just stopped trying… he himself could handle being alone, he didn’t need that, or at least that’s what he kept telling himself. But Kaya… she needed a mother, she missed her mother and as much as Andy wanted to be both a father and a mother for her, it just didn’t work that way, and he could never be enough, but at the same time, he wanted only the best for his kid, something special, he didn’t want to just jump in and bring people into his life that will only be mistakes later on. So why bother? ”Can’t say I didn’t try… it just, guess nothing was ever enough” he sighed and ran his hand through his hair. Was it that, was it the fact that he barely even managed to open his heart for new people, with the constant fear of everyone close to him dying like they always do, or was it all together just everything in this one package that eventually just left him alone. ”I want to, but I also can’t…”

Dorian DeLoughrey. It was strange to think that she had known the man for over 15 years. That she had loved the man for over 15 years - whether this was in the capacity of loving him as a friend or as more… she had always… loved him. Now here she was in 2028 wrapped up in his arms possibly having his children… their children. She couldn’t stop the smile that reached her lips with his ‘usage of favors’ that he still needed to finish. Honestly, Jess just needed to stop making bets she knew she was going to lose. Which really meant no more athletic bets with a professional athlete… how sad. “I think it’s cute that you actually think I’ll let you win those bets. Pregnant or not, I could beat you blindfolded, love… and on the note of bets…” Jess muttered, bringing her lips to his neck as she let her hand slowly go lower. Jess teased for a second before pulling herself off and smiling at him, “…It’s too damn bad I’m not going to lose this one,” she added. As he talked about their baby only eating “veggies” Jess made a gagging noise. "mmm good luck with that love. But I think I’ll end up being the favorite parent if you continue to do that because I will sneak that child real food.

As she told the man about his watch, her eyes faltered over to it - letting her hand touch the Rolex she had bought him such a long time ago. There was a vague memory in her mind - dragging Daniel Parker with her to buy it since she had absolutely no idea what a dude would like. “You deserve everything, Dorian,” Jess whispered as he pulled her in for a kiss and honestly, she had always believed that. For a long time she truly believed that fact. It was for that reason that it was so easy for her to make the decision to leave him. Because she never wanted to be the one to stop him from his dreams… even if it didn’t include her in them. And I mean… you kind of were a bloody d!ck to me when I came back. Can’t argue with that. Jess laughed, though it soon turned into a frown at his next statement. Dan… what did he do this time? Are you okay? Do I need to hell at him? she questioned, slightly worried. If Jessica was the person to build Dorian up, she knew Dan was the one to tear him down and honestly she had never understood why he hated him. There was a time, long ago, that they were just as good of friends as she was with Dorian. Honestly… so what the hell happened? She knew it started when she had left but Dan would never tell her what went on between them to spark such… hatred?

Though she didn’t think Dorian knew that answer either. Dan was the type to hold onto something even if no one else knew what it was. But she didn’t get the chance to ask Dori more about it when she heard his next question. Her eyes fluttered close for a second as she held him against her. “Well… the whole point of us hiding this was just so we could see how we do without… other people’s opinions and honestly Dorian, I’ve known that I’ve loved you since I was 15 and nothing is or was ever going to change that,” she whispered. With that she finally looked into his eyes, " I never needed to pretend Dorian… so to answer your question - I don’t care about what anyone thinks… I just want… to be with you."

@astxrism - Just for you, I did the lil highlights so it’s easier to read.

The thing she was doing… trying to tease him and make him lose the bet… yeah, that won’t work. That’s exactly why he was relieved when she pulled herself off, because it… wasn’t working. Okay, it was, even if her lips were on his neck just for a few seconds, it was working. How dare she? After they said no teasing… And maybe he’d return the teasing if they were in a different situation, if they weren’t previously talking about something very serious but he’d have the rest of his life for that… Crazy to think about it. He was hoping for that for ten years now, even after everything seemed completely ruined because that was one thing he was sure about, one and only person he was sure about. Jessica really was the only girl he deeply cared about, only girl he’d even put above his own family, even way back when they were only friends. She just always had a way of making him feel loved and worth it, not something he often felt. ”Okay, you can take that title, I’ll let you be the favorite parent,” he jokingly replied, slightly pouting. Just like he would put her above everyone else, there weren’t many things he’d say no to when it came to her. If she wanted to do something or if she just wanted something, that was never a problem… sure, he might complain a little bit at first but he’d quickly give in. Not something he does with anyone else. “I’ll be the other not fun parent.”

Dorian wanted to move on from the topic he started, Daniel, and not explain anything but her worrying only brought a smile to his face, making him quickly shake his head.“Daniel was just being Daniel, I’m fine… but he could use some yelling, I’m sure Valerie is being too nice to him,” the only thing he said through a faint chuckle, trying to seem as convincing as possible before moving on. But he was fine… he knew why she was worried and when it came to Daniel’s insult Dorian got used to them, they didn’t hit him as much as they used to. In that way he was okay… he just wasn’t okay knowing something he could never tell her.

“And I want to be with you,” he whispered, a smile not leaving his lips. See, what she did… that’s what I was talking about. She always knew what to say and do to actually make him feel like he deserved what he had. Make him feel truly happy. “Nothing changed and nothing will ever change how I feel about you,” continue with a whisper, an innocent smile he had on earlier was replaced with a cheekier one, doing what she did earlier - bringing his lips to her neck, he let his hand slide down her back. “So…”, mumbling, he slowly brought his lips up to hers. “We’ll have to tell everyone soon then…That’s…” Stopping for a second, for the sake of the bet he couldn’t lose, he got a bit more serious but still had a small smile, quietly continuing. “I’m… afraid of your parents reaction.”

“Thanks though, means a lot”

Was it strange? Once one has kids - your livelihood truly revolves around them. Dan could 100% say that the two girls in his life had him wrapped around their fingers. Val and VC could truly convince Daniel to do anything. And honestly, that wasn’t an honor given to everyone. But it’s hard for life not to revolve around kids after seeing your little baby for the first time and holding them in your arms. It was a blank slate. A little person that you would help raise. Was there thought any more terrifying than that? To know that you could possibly fck someone up as much as you were fcked up. It’s probably why Dan tried so damn hard for his little girl. And in a way, he knew that Andy likely tried too.

A soft laugh left Dan’s lips at Andy’s ‘Val not murdering him’ comment. “Well… I’m pretty sure she was damn close at murdering me but that’s what the impromptu trip to Disney was for. Kept Val happy and our little girl bouncing around,” Dan added. Perhaps that’s why Dan was excited for another kid… yes he was unexpected but it would be a lie to say that he wasn’t happy about it. Worried - yes. But bloody excited as well. “Exactly… our household will definitely be interesting with another boy running around so I won’t be ganged up on by the females,” Dan laughed. “And trust me… they have mastered the bloody art of ganging up on me,”

With Daniel’s next statement… he knew it hit Andy. Daniel could see the man thinking… processing his words. A strained nod left Dan with the man’s thought of nothing was enough and in a strange way, Dan could relate. Daniel didn’t know what he would do without Valerie Wood. She was his entire bloody life and he would probably be lost without her. But there was something else in Andy’s eyes as he continued talking - explaining that he couldn’t. “Andy…” Daniel sighed, standing up from his place on the opposite side of the room and walking towards him. “If there is one person who understands how lonely this world is without someone to mesh through it - it’s me. I never thought I was going to have that… but I do. So trust me - If I was lucky enough to have it twice… with Yara… and now Val… there’s someone out there waiting to be in your life if you let them,” Dan stated.

A small grin met her lips as she watched him the moment she pulled herself off. Honestly, Jessica knew this bet was a slam dunk for her and she could just finish it now - but she was honestly trying to see how long he could wait. Okay SO what if she was breaking the “rules” a little. It was a passing rule of no teasing that held no real weight in her mind. As far as she was concerned everything was a go until someone said “FCK IT I FORFEIT.” Lost in her thoughts, she only looked up when she heard him say that she could be the favorite parent - though the pout on his lips were clear. A sigh left her mouth as she let her hand touch her stomach again. There was distraction that accompanied what the two were talking about and Jess appreciated that… appreciated not having to think about it but there was still that fear that worried her. But it was… easier to handle? Because she could do it with Dorian. “Nooo we can both be the fun parent,” Jess added, “I’ll just be the *fun-er parent” she quickly continued with a joking smile.

As he talked about Daniel there was always… instant worry there. She knew Dan didn’t like Dorian and would do or say whatever simply to hurt him and she hated that. Truth be told, Daniel always had all these walls up that she knew was simply a defense mechanism. “Yelling will be coming then, Love… are you sure you’re okay? What did he say this time?” Jess questioned. Though Jess didn’t know if it was just what Dan said this time but it was clear that Dorian didn’t want to talk about it as he switched the subject. And by switch the subject Jess meant that the cheeky b@stard had started doing what she was earlier. How rude. A soft moan left her mouth as she found her eyes fluttering close at the feeling of his lips and hand moving down her back. “I bloody hate you” Jess whispered as she let her hand move to the back of his head, guiding him where she wanted him. He knew how to play the game well, she had to give him that much but she… she was better, and she would prove that. With his next statement of them telling everyone soon, Jess nodded before flipping him over and straddling him. “Or we could just be so loud in here that we don’t have to tell anyone, they’d just know,” she explained as she continued to kiss him back. Jess knew the two were approaching dangerous territory - though what stopped her in the midst of kissing his collarbone was when he said that he was scared of her parent’s reaction.

Honestly, Jess just gave him a confused look at that notion. “Why?” Jess asked the man. Her parents were always… absentee in her life. Only requesting her when they needed her presence for something, however, besides that - they weren’t an active part of her life. Despite that, they would forever be her parents and she cared about them… and what they thought. “You don’t have anything to worry about love… My mum and dad… have their own opinions but they’ve always been open to us doing whatever we wanted. I think partly because my mum broke the rules by marrying my dad which was a shock because of his skin color but… look they can be stuck in their ways sometimes but they’re also open to things. Like they are fine with Celine and respected Anna’s choice with her.” Jess explained, wrapping her arms around him and placing a chaste kiss on his lips. “And they already like you after meeting you when you came as my date at that masquerade ball… you remember that and the number of bloody times you argued about wearing that mask?”

With that Jess looked at him. At this current position, Jess was still on top of him and smiled as an idea hit her mind. Kissing him one last time, Jess moved back up so she was back to straddling him and pulled her shirt off so she was completely bare from the top up. “Well I’m going to go take a short shower… love you,” Jess smiled before jumping off of him and taking the rest of her clothes off right in front of him and moving towards the bathroom in the room. Jess made no effort to close the door as she walked into the glass shower. Tease for a tease, Dorian. Checkmate.

Dorian could just tell her what happened with Daniel, besides him revealing something he wasn’t supposed to know but he ended up ignoring her question, just shaking his head and smiling at her… and doing something more. A soft smile upon his lips hearing her soft moan, knowing what he was doing and expecting that reaction. It was easy but he was supposed to know it never lasted long and she’d always do something… like she did now. Before he had a chance to continue, she was already the one on top. His hands resting on her thighs, a split second of him actually thinking of giving up. Yes, he did know what he was doing but… she was better at it. “That would be a great option, but…” with his hands sliding up, he whispered in between the kisses before trying to stop her. “We can’t,” and with that he changed the topic.

Why? Truth be told, he didn’t have a specific reason why he was worried about what her parents would think, he was just worried. He didn’t know them that well, he met them a long time ago and maybe seen them once or twice after, whenever he’d visit Jess in London, and they didn’t know him well. Sure, maybe they liked him, maybe Jessica was telling the truth but he was just… he was just him. This guy that was famous for running with a ball while they knew the royal family, were in a parliament, were these professional people… He did want them to accept him, and not just because he got their daughter pregnant. “I do remember… I also remember you saying we’ll just be there for a few minutes to say hi and then leave. That’s not what happened,” laughing lightly, he let his hands gently slide up her legs while she was still on top of him. “I know, I know. I believe you but you can’t blame me for being just a little bit worried, can you?” He quickly added, wanting to flip them over and gain some control again but… that’s not what happened. With an amused smile, he slightly lifted his brows, watching her pull off her shirt and then jump off of him, taking the rest of her clothes off.

If they didn’t bet on something so stupid he knew he’d lose, this was the part where he’d get up right away, taking off his own shirt as he’d follow her to the bathroom… and for a second he caught himself thinking about doing that. Well… he was going to do that, before he remembered he couldn’t. Couldn’t lose the bet this early on. But with a loud sigh he did get up, picking up the clothes she left on the ground and throwing them on the bed before following her into the bathroom, a slight smirk appearing on his lips. “You really needed to take a short shower? Now?” Leaning against a wall next to the shower with crossed arms, he let his gaze rest on her, trying hard not to let it lower. “It’s really sad that I can’t join you… you know we’d have fun,” he continued, not taking the smirk off his lips. “It always gets good, but you know what you’d have to do… And I’d close this if I were you, just to not flood this bathroom with your… short shower,” he added, referring to the door. But instead of just walking away, proud of himself for not giving into temptation he stayed there - still leaning against the wall, not taking his eyes off of her. It really was hard… especially when she knew what she was doing. It was also very unfair but two could play that game. It’s just that joining her and continuing with the teasing wouldn’t get him that far. Whatever he did, he’d be the one to give in and he was sure she knew that. It took him a while to look away, move and leave the bathroom, but he did it, with a heavy heart. Another loud sigh leaving his lips as he just sat down on the bed, waiting for her and whatever else she was planning to do.

“We can’t.”

A large pout met Jess’ lips at those words. Why the hell did he have to be so damn competitive. And simply because he was competitive, Jess knew that she couldn’t be the one to back down. Because as competitive as he was, so was Jess. Perhaps not in the same way… the man could run circles around her on the football field any day and as much as Jess joked that she could beat him, she knew she couldn’t. There were only rare occasions where she got a goal against the man and honestly those were either flukes or she had distracted him by getting naked which… legitimately only worked one time because he knew most of her tricks on that field by now. Anyways - back to the issue at hand. This competitiveness… god damn it, would be the death of both of them. “I mean… we could… you just have to…” Jess started between kisses, making sure her hand trailed against places she knew drove him crazy “…give up” Jess finished with a sly smile. Though Dorian was smart, distracting her with his next sentiment. Perhaps she didn’t see what was so nerve-wracking about them since she grew up in that family. Because to Jessica Pierce - her parents would always be the absentee figures in her life that no one could really satisfy. That didn’t mean Jess didn’t love them - she knew they would do anything for their kids… even if it meant protecting one’s reputation by using another to help cover. It was Jess’ life story after all. Though you could read her book to get all the itty bitty details about that.

She couldn’t help but laugh when Dori reminded her that the two were supposed to leave that party within a few minutes all those years ago and honestly, she could remember that party like it was yesterday. Technically she could remember any memory like it was yesterday if she tried - thank you annoying brain that makes her relive every moment… not fun. “Sorry love… but I had to say something to get you out there. Do you know how bloody boring those events are usually? I needed someone there to joke around with while I made the rounds to hundreds of Royals,” Jess muttered. “… but hey, I made it up to you. We left within an hour or two and then I showed you all those places in London I love as I promised like that king mattress store where we could just sleep on every bed until they screamed at us to buy something or leave”. There was a lightness in her voice as she talked about the past - one that he was so entangled in. Dorian DeLoughrey, in an odd way, would be her past, present, and future and she loved that. Her past was, indeed, filled with a lot of darkness - but at the same time, it was also filled with fun… with light… and happiness. And a lot of that happiness was due to the man wrapped in her arms. It was those moments that had kept her alive. “No… I can’t blame you for being worried… but I can promise that everything will be fine. First… you and I go to the doctor’s… and then we can figure the rest of this out okay?” Jess mumbled, her voice lowering when she said the doctor’s simply because in an odd way… the hospital presented her biggest fear. Her worst memories always emerged in a hospital… from Simon’s death… to hers… to her children’s… and honestly… this time around, she needed Dorian by her side to get through it. So this time, instead of kissing him, Jess pulled him in for a hug again, trying to calm herself for the second time. “Would you want a boy or a girl?” Jess mumbled in his arms, her mind recalling the fact that they had lost twins though… she would never know if they were girls, boys, or one of each. Mostly because it was too early for that.

Though shaking her mind out of the once again sad topic, the two found themselves continuing what they were doing earlier… hence Jess taking her clothes off to see if she could tempt him. And hell… was he was doing well. As she made her way to the bathroom, Jess scrunched her nose as Dorian asked her if she needed a shower “I do… I really do Dori,” Jess whispered, stepping into the water as she let the liquid hit her body. “You see… I was running around so much this morning trying to get food and then leaving the food behind…And… I mean… I can’t forget this morning before my food run since I was having sex with my boyfriend before we made this annoying little bet.” Jess stated - recalling the fact that they were together that morning in his hotel room… and honestly every morning since they got back together. He just had to make this difficult though - clearly seen as he continued his words with the fact that he ‘couldn’t’ join her. However, instead of closing the door, she shrugged. “You can close it love - actually, please do close it. I am so bloody h0rny right now that I would love to pleasure myself in peace,” Jess stated, raising her eyebrow as she looked over at him - though when it was clear that he wasn’t leaving - she put on a show which meant allowing her hands to rack over her body while moaning. She was really bloody trying here so watching him leaving was frustrating, to say the very least. God damn it. And this ladies and gentleman is why you never get in a bet with an athlete because god damn is it hard to make them cave. Though the sigh she heard at least told her it was somewhat working.

So what did Jess do? Well, she faked it. Dorian was out of the room, so leaning against the shower - the girl faked moans as if she was doing exactly what she told him she would do - in other words, she pretended to pleasure herself in the confines of the bathroom - waiting to see if he’d come in and finish the job. Did he? No. So after a few moments, Jess faked the most important part… which, let’s be honest, as a girl, sooner or later they all master that art though there were certain people in her past she never faked it with - Dorian being one of them. Grabbing her towel, Jess made her way back to where Dorian was sitting, taking a seat on his lap as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “Well I’m thoroughly satisfied…,” Jess lied, bringing her lips to his ear, “What about you?” she whispered.

@astxrism - HMPH beat that.

In the middle of his frenzy, Riker found Jordan tolling him to stop and not blame her… the she-devil… the literal DEVIL INCARNATE. Because as he often did - Jordan took the blame. So despite Jordan’s Savier ideal - Riker did blame Jezebel. But more than that, Riker was disappointed. Disappointed in his best friend who was married… in love and ruined it over Jezebel Sloane. Riker’s head was in his hands as he massaged his temples trying to figure out the best way to approach this situation but what was the best way? He didn’t expect Sadie to forgive Jordan and why would she? He didn’t blame the girl. The person he did blame was rather in this room - Jezebel Sloane.

“I never meant for this to happen… I didn’t want to hurt him…”

“That’s just it with you isn’t it? You always play the victim in ever fcking thing and you never think about the fact that maybe… just a crazy thought… he’s been HAPPY for the last 10 years WITHOUT you.” Riker stated to the girl. “You’d think 10 years could change a person for the better, but it’s easy to see that you are the exact same train wreck you were when you were 18. God, Jezebel. Grow the fck up for once and look at what you’re doing.” Riker stated. “Why? Just why would you do this?” He asked genuinely curious as to what the hell could be going through her mind.

Andy let out a light laugh ”They do love Disney trips” he said. Kaya loved Disney places as well, she has been there already a bunch of time, both with himself, with Ziah back in the days, with Jess too, Disney was quite a reoccurring theme in places they went to.

”You’ll still be ganged up by females, from that you can’t run” he commented, shaking his head ”they mastered the art, little baby boy over there won’t save you he’ll just join you in being ganged on”
Andy couldn’t really say he was ganged up by females, it was mostly just him and Kaya, and girl wasn’t exactly the girliest of all girls anyway, so it was pretty equal. I mean, there were a sh!t ton of females in his life, Kaya, Jess, Nora, Elo, the twins, Val… but generally speaking he never really was ganged up on. But in a way, he wanted to…

“Andy… If there is one person who understands how lonely this world is without someone to mesh through it - it’s me. I never thought I was going to have that… but I do. So trust me - If I was lucky enough to have it twice… with Yara… and now Val… there’s someone out there waiting to be in your life if you let them,”
As talking about Daniel’s statement on going back out to the dating scene, Andy listened and deep inside him he knew the man wasn’t wrong. But as right as he was, it still wasn’t just as simple, god knows he tried, he wanted to be happy, for himself, for Kaya, but he never managed to find just that thing that allowed him to actually give in and take down his walls, because boy had a sh!t ton of walls. Letting new people into his heart was almost impossible, he didn’t want anyone else to get hurt, to die even. Why did everyone around him keep dying? Was it him? He knew he had to stop letting that stupid worry hold him back, but it was just hard. If it was the only issue it would have been a whole lot easier, but it wasn’t. ”I know…” he said ”but it’s even harder when I need to take Kaya into consideration. Last time I tried dating someone, there was this girl, but Kaya just didn’t like her and she didn’t actually do anything for her not to like, but she didn’t like her and I can’t go with someone she doesn’t like. She makes decisions not me” he shrugged ”and I’m not exactly easy on decisions either. You’re lucky, I’m just screwed” he finished with a drink.

Telling Riker what she had seen had come from impulse, and as soon as she did, Sadie felt worried that he wouldn’t believe her. He would value and trust his best friend and brother over her. Though in usual cases Sadie would not have this kind of concern, feeling like part of the family too, it had very recently become apparent that her place may be a lot less valued. Though from Riker’s response it seemed potentially losing Jordan wouldn’t also come with losing him too, which she felt a small weight lifting from her, despite it hardly making an impact on the colossal one that had just been thrown on.

As she felt the brush of Riker’s shoulder as he headed towards where she came back from, reality began to set in even more. Every memory she had of the last decade had been countered, cancelled out and plagued with the sense of ingenuity. Was all this time just Jordan settling for her? As much as she now wanted to talk to him about it, Sadie was fearful of his answers, and outcomes she didn’t want.

Accompanying sadness was a growing embarrassment. Looking around the slightly crowded room, it felt like everyone already knew. After ten years, Jordan cheats on Sadie. He was probably sick of her. Waiting for the chance to get out of it. Sadie probably saw it coming, she’d be stupid not to. Is that what the people walking past and smiling at her now were actually thinking? When both being under the limelight, she knew the kind of assumptions people could make. The worse part being the fact that they may be true.

Sadie had stayed frozen in place since Riker had left, which heavily contrasted the accelerating heart rate and a continuous stream of thought going on internally. But with the increasing feeling of all eyes being on her, Sadie didn’t stay much longer, rushing out and finding a room, small but big enough that she could pour all her emotions into, letting the wave of thoughts rush over her again. What did people do in this situation? Usually, people would just break up. But this was a decade. Almost half her life. Marriage… kids… it didn’t seem like something that would ever be able to come simply. How much did divorces even cost? Did she even want a divorce? Was it really a question if that was clearly what he wanted? Okay, well if that was really going to be an option, who gets custody of the kids? How would they even explain this to them? She would never want them to change their perspective of their own father. Nor could she ever take them away from him through a divorce. All questions she didn’t want an answer would soon have to be, especially since Jordan had now entered the room.

Question one answered: Jordan didn’t want a divorce. Everything else… Sadie was nowhere near ready to answer. How could she know to believe anything he was saying? Seeing him made it worse. She was seeing him from a different light and perspective she didn’t want to- she never wanted to- see him through. A stranger. Everything him saying sounding the same. Because this wasn’t the person she knew anymore. The person who knew and reassured her early doubts and insecurities. The one doubt; the one girl; the one thing. Forgotten and disregarded within an hour of a stupid reunion party.

The easy answer would be to forgive. Because the answer on whether or not she loved him hadn’t changed. Maybe it never will. But now what also might not change is the idea of it being unreciprocated. And so her response couldn’t be an answer for him. Sadie had to ask the same thing she did ten years ago. One she thought she knew the answer to, after years of her worries slowly dying. She finally looked up from the ground, her eyes begging for his honesty in parallel with the past.

“Do you love her?”

"I needed someone there to joke around with while I made the rounds to hundreds of Royals.”

“Yeah, yeah, I’m happy you thought I was the best person for that,” Dorian replied, laughing. That party wasn’t as bad as he was making it sound. Sure, he was expecting something else but he never regretted saying yes to her. He hated wearing that mask, but they did have fun… they always had fun together. He always loved spending time with her, whether it was at ridiculous parties, mattress stores, back at home or in a fast food restaurant… that was and still is his favorite time of the day. So don’t blame him for being stuck on her for such a long time, hoping this, what they had now, would happen. “I really enjoyed getting dirty looks from everyone,” Dorian jokingly continued, a goofy smile on his lip but he soon took her hand in his, bringing it up to his lips. “You did. And those were some good mattresses. It’s sad we didn’t get one… I think it might be time to go back there?” Moving in together. A topic he didn’t want to push now when there were other things on his and her mind, but eventually they would have to talk about that. With them both living in different places he didn’t really know what would happen, what they would decide to do but they will make it work. They will build a beautiful home for their family. “First we go to the doctor’s and then we can figure everything else out. And whatever happens I’ll always be there,” he quietly replied, bringing his lips to hers for a moment. “I’d be happy with a girl now, I’d be happy with a boy but both, one day? ”

Did he think Jessica would actually continue what she “started” back in the bathroom, while he was there? No. Was it actually making him wish he stayed? Maybe… Yes, it was but was this the part when he gives up? Another no. He tried hard to cancel out her moans as he let his back hit the bed, grabbing his phone to distract himself. Which wasn’t really working but at least he tried. Trying also meant he wasn’t supposed to react when she finally came out of the bathroom but he immediately straightened up, slowly putting his phone down, this time without a smile on his face. His eyes fell upon his girlfriend wrapped up in a towel as she made her way towards him, taking a seat on his lap and wrapping her arms around him. “You are? So you wouldn’t care if I just,” in the same tone, he gently slid his hand down her arm reaching for the towel. “Did this?” There was a small pause, a cheeky smile appearing on his lips as he slowly took it off. So yes, he was giving up but he was also enjoying this moment, a rare time when she had to let him tease her if she didn’t want to be the one to lose. “Or,” quietly continuing, he tightly wrapped his arms around her bare body and stood up, before dropping her down on bed and getting on top of her. “This?” Pinning her hands above her head, he started leaving a trail of kisses down her neck to her collarbone… but he soon straightened up, taking his shirt off and playing with his belt. “Or I can stop. You tell me what it’s going to be.”

@benitz786 - bad, bad, don’t have time and he’s giving up, okay, but first I just wanna see what she’d do :triumph:

Jezebel Mallory Parker

Even with Jordan’s attempt to take the blame, it was no question that Riker held the blame mainly on Jezebel, but Jezebel did too. Though, even with Jezebel feeling the guilt for what her actions unknowingly caused, Riker still felt the need to talk as though everything was entirely intentional on her part, as though every ounce of pain she had ever caused was what she wanted. She turned back towards him, frustrated. “I’m not the only one here who needs to grow the hell up, because you’re still the same exact person you were back then, thinking you’re so much better. I know I’m still that girl who screws up everything good in my life, like in high school, but at least I’m not a two faced person who doesn’t give a damn about anyone and anything that isn’t what fits your ideals, and I’m not someone who’s willing to hurt the person I claim to want the best for, just to act out some personal vendetta against someone I don’t know.” Riker had it out for Jezebel without knowing her, but Jezebel knew just enough about Riker to not be able to understand why he was Jordan’s friend, why Elodie cared about him, but it seemed Jezebel was the only one who saw this side of him, this side that was such a self-righteous a-hole that good people like Elodie and Jordan shouldn’t want to be around. He never gave Jezebel a chance to be anything other than the self-centered monster he seemed to think she was. “I spent years trying to protect Jordan from pain he didn’t need, and for the past ten, I’ve been avoiding him because he was happy without me, and so that he wouldn’t have the pain of the truth instead of the story you told him.” Jezebel paused, taking a breath. “I never understood why you did what you did to him Riker, why you had to tell him that when it would only bring him more pain, not even minding that it was something you never had the right to tell, when you didn’t even care if the story you made up about me was true, when you never actually knew me.” Jezebel never fully understood why Riker had such an issue with her. When they first met, she was a mess, she was pregnant at the time which only made the mess that her mind was worse. Then, when he read her old diary and filled in the blanks to tell Jordan, he didn’t know the story. He couldn’t have without asking her, not since when she had written down in that diary that she wasn’t pregnant, she had taken out the pages that she had written on while she was pregnant. All the various notes she had on how she was going to tell Jordan, a few name ideas as she thought of them, everything that showed how even with the situation, she was looking forward to the idea of her and Jordan with a baby. All that she had left was where she wrote that she was pregnant and didn’t know what to do, and where she wrote that she wasn’t pregnant, but that still wouldn’t have been enough to have been sure of what happened. “And today, maybe I wanted to feel, for just a moment, like every mistake I’ve made doesn’t kill me inside, and thought I could actually look Jordan in the eye for once after 10 years.” Jezebel could’ve told Riker how her and Jordan had only begun the conversation that led to the kiss because they were stuck in that room together, unable to get out and avoid each other. “But its not like you even care. Nothing I say will change a thing with you, so just talk to Jordan.” At that point, Jezebel was done, she looked at Riker, which her eyes even full of tears conveyed a clear look telling him to go to hell, before turning and walking away.

“Honestly - I should just build a damn theme park. I swear - that sh!t is a bloody gold mine,” Dan stated nonchalantly. To others, a statement like that was a joke. A passing remark that could never become reality. But here’s the thing - within the confines of an engine room were the 1%. It was strange for others to realize that this whole boat was filled with just that - the 1% of the 1%. The rich who could, truly, do whatever their whims desired.

As Andy explained that he would probably still be ganged up against, Dan nodded with a sigh. It was true - and both Andy and himself knew it. The women in their lives would always be able to one up them. It goes back to the simple statement of having them wrapped around their fingers because they honestly did. Even Andy who… no longer had Ziah in his life couldn’t say his life wasn’t surrounded by females. “Preach,” Dan mumbled, taking a drink of his bottle looking back over towards the door. The impending thought of when the hell would it open was no longer in his mind because in an odd way, Dan enjoyed this… this conversation… probably the first real one he’s had with Andy in over a decade.

Dan listened to Andy’s concerns and sighed - though he understood in a way. “Who say’s we can’t make our own luck?,” Dan asked. “Look - our children will always come first but there will come a day where you regret not having someone in your life so get the hell back up and keep looking, Andy. You’re a good looking dude - and don’t bloody take that out of context. But what I’m saying is any girl would be lucky to have you - any girl on this boat would be lucky. So why not take the rest of this two day cruise as a singles cruise and just… mess around. Kaya’s taken care of so for once, Andy, take care of yourself. If you find someone that makes you happy… and I mean truly happy… Kaya will love that person just as much as you love them. Hell I can give you a bloody list of all the single girls on this boat that aren’t crazy - once I get internet connection that is,” Dan sighed looking at his useless device.

Flashback:

Have you ever seen Bridgerton? Yes all that 1800s ballroom, dancing, royals conversing, etc etc. Yeah well, would you believe that sh!t still happened? Maybe not in the exact same way. “Coming out” parties still happened but they were… different. There was still an expectation to marry into the same caliber - alongside an expectation that the Queen had to approve of any arrangement. But, it wasn’t necessarily required. That being said, here Jess was in her hotel room getting ready - wearing a dress picked out by a stylist for the Pierce family. Anna was wearing a white ball gown adorned with a white crystal mask and had already left with their parents. Daniel had also already left alongside his parents. Jess, however, was slightly late due to her plane arriving a bit later… and maybe messing around with Dorian in town. In any case, she found herself alone in her room putting on a simple peach ballgown which she honestly preferred compared to her sisters - simply for it being… well… breathable. Walking outside, Jess knocked on the door on the other side of the hall. Her family had the entire floor of the hotel booked meaning all penthouses were filled with her, Anna, her parents, and Dan’s family - each with their own suite. And this one… well, it was Dorian’s - though honestly, the two would probably just end up sharing a room and watching movies or sneaking out till daylight. “I swear it takes longer for you to get ready than me. PUT THE HAIR GEL DOWN DORI we have placesss to beeeeee,” Jess yelled through the door as she put her mask on, smiling at the dork when he emerged in a suit that actually looked really damn good on him. “Wow… I…you know… I really thought you were going to make a statement and come naked,” Jess joked, hiding her previous surprise at him actually looking formal for once before walking into his room with her bag of extra clothes because hell if she was going to stay in this dress the whole night. “Mind zipping me up?” Jess asked the man who honestly looked like a grump with his own mask on. She smiled, fixing her earrings as she zipped the top part of her dress before jumping on the bed. “Do I have to?” she heard the man asking - pointing towards his mask and a laugh met Jess’ lips “Oh get over it you only have to do it for the next few minutes. Welcome to my world where this is an annual occasion along with the dozens of other events I have to do this sh!t with,” Jess stated. It wasn’t long until the two made their way to the limo downstairs before heading to the ballroom at the palace which… honestly was exactly how anyone would have expected a royal ball to be. People dancing, women gossiping, little appetizers being walked around which - hold up we need to go on a tangent. Okay. WHY THE HELL ARE THOSE APPETIZERS SO DAMN SMALL? Do they think women don’t need food. THEY NEED FOOD. That’s usually why Jess ended up sneaking into the kitchen and making herself a sandwich which always garnered looks from the head staff but what could she say? Many of her close friends had been made with the lower staff due to just that reason.

“Welcome Dorian… to the world of intrigue, blisters on your feet, and hours of talking to people who don’t know how to hold a conversation without talking about those damn Americans or being racist in one way or another,” Jess laughed, wrapping her hands in his as she pulled him inside - walking first to her parents to make her presence known and introduce them to her date which really was just a way to make sure the other royals didn’t spend the evening making her dance with the hundreds of eligible bachelors. Though a quick introduction, it was… slightly awkward and more formal than one would expect a conversation with one’s parents. But that was just it… for people who let their 8-year-old daughter disappear into a country where they weren’t… they just… weren’t in her life much. So this… this awkward conversation was really it. The epitome of her relationship with her parents was the 1 minute conversation she had with them introducing Dorian. Which honestly went a little like:

Mr. Pierce: “Well aren’t you a dashing young man,”
Dorian: “I… it’s really nice to meet you Mr. Pierce”
Mr. Pierce: “And you… Love… make sure to remind me to talk to the Prime Minister about the new proposition for the Enhancement bill.”
Mrs. Pierce: “Of course… Jessica dear, please make sure you go talk to the dutchess of Abelqureie she wanted to talk to you,”

Yep that was her parents… always more concerned with work than they were with their daughters. Oh well… that’s why she had brought Dorian. For entertainment. “Okay Dori. 10 bucks that the lady in the purple will ask you for your title the minute you walk near her, and 50 bucks if you tell her you’re a prince of a made-up country and end up convincing her of it,” Jess laughed cheekily. There was slight competitiveness in her tone as she looked at her friend with a raised eyebrow, egging him on. Did he do it? He have a valiant effort at convincing the woman that he was from the Kingdom of Mesopotamia and it was honestly hilarious watching him do so. Especially as the women turned towards Jess to ask her who she was and Jess, of course, told the women she was the secretary from Mesopotamia to make sure the prince was okay on his journey here.

That was the thing with her and Dorian - no matter the occasion, the dress code, anything - the two could still… have fun. Make the damn most of it. Perhaps she had… told a little white lie about how long they’d be there but she was having a fun time with him. Jess frowned as he told her he was going to use the loo and sighed. “Leaving me alone to the vultures huh? Fine FINE go ahead Prince DeLoughrey,” Jess stated jokingly before navigating the party herself for a bit. Though when she heard someone screeching “Jessica, Jess is that you,” A sigh left her lips knowing it was that very Dutchess that her parents had told her to see. A woman who had been trying to set her or her sister up with her nephew since birth. So instead of turning around, Jess walked towards a blonde man nearby and smiled - acting as if she had no idea who that Jessica person was. “Do me a favor and pretend like we’re talking about something extremely important please,” Jess whispered, seeing the man raise his eyebrow in confusion at her request. “Hell… just,” Jess muttered, taking his hand and bringing the man towards the dance floor as she put her hand in his to dance. Honestly, Jess didn’t know who half the people in the room were with their masks. And no - this wasn’t some Cinderella moment where Jess couldn’t recognize people she knew. But the simple fact was that there was just so many people she didn’t know so it wouldn’t even matter. “Avoiding someone?” Jess heard the man asked and she threw him a cheeky smile. “Avoiding half the people here, which is where the masks come in handy because although I might be able to tell who I’m avoiding despite the masks, I think I have the advantage in the sense that I can just pretend I’m not the person they’re looking for,” Jess revealed. There were very rare occasions where Jess had genuinely good conversations with people, and that short dance - she honestly did have a good one with the man. Though after the dance she simply shot him a grin, thanked him for the impromptu dance, and disappeared as quickly as she had appeared. Because sometimes… a good conversation with a stranger should just stay like that - a memory of the past.

In any case, she found herself finding Dorian a few moments later and punched the man in his arm. “That’s for leaving me to the vultures,” Jess frowned, though seeing the time she knew it had been far after she had promised they’d be there. “I do think it’s time for us to make our leave, my good sir,” Jess added and for the rest of the night, Jess and Dorian painted the town red, blue, orange, and any other color one could think of. He truly was her favorite person and forever would be.

End Of Flashback

“You were the best person, Prince of Mesopotamia,” Jess laughed, kissing his forehead with the memory of them jumping on random beds hitting her mind, and getting yelled at to leave the store. “You think they still remember that they practically banned us a decade ago? Or will the acclaim of you being a famous football player make up for it?” Jess questioned, “… but I do agree, we do need to go back soon and… also… go buy some baby decorations,” Jessica muttered, a soft frown meeting her lips for a second as she remembered to the room she decorated so long ago, though took it out of her mind. Dorian didn’t need to know all the details of what had happened at least… not now. She leaned her head against his own when he added that he’d be there through anything and simply nodded. “Yes…” she nodded with his statement of having both one day.

Jess had tried - really damn hard. It had been a long ass time since she won one of these bets and it was about time she got her winning streak back. Okay that was bull - if anyone had a streak, it was Dorian. But she could at least break his. But God was that hard. She let out a gasp as he pulled the towel off of her and quickly pinned her to the bed. Let’s get one thing straight - Jess liked being on top. She liked control so this honestly as a rare occasion… mostly. If Dorian wanted they both knew he had the strength to stay on top, but usually he let her do what she wanted. But now… god was this frustrating. Jess let out another moan as his lips went down her neck, the urge to pull him closer or start pulling his pants off hitting her but with his hand pinning her and the impending bet she knew she couldn’t. So instead, Jess allowed her legs to wrap around his as he kissed her neck, attempting to gain any sense of friction between their two bodies. He knew what he was doing was working, she had to give him that - and the girl found herself biting her lip as she found him playing with his belt. Though… that’s when she heard it - his tantalizing words.

RUDE.

The girl gulped, looking away trying to gain some composure. Nope… she needed to bloody win. Closing her eyes, Jess looked back at him before getting up. “You… could stop… but then,” Jess started, letting her hand meet his face as she pulled him in for a kiss, before bringing her lips down his chest and lower. Though as she reached where his zipper was, Jess stopped, leaning back against the bed. “if you stop, we’re both left high and dry… so let me turn the question back to you love, what will it be? Because I’m more than happy to pleasure myself right here in front of you… while screaming your name because we both know my mind works wonders with memories and I have… quite a depository when it comes to us having sex,” Jess stated. Despite her words showing a front of strength, she knew it would only take a little push for that resolve to fall apart… she was just hoping she could get his to fall apart first.

Though Delilah would love to claim disinterest in the party and feeling- knowing- she was above everyone else around her, it was really the mere eye contact with Candice Clarke that made her leave. Delilah didn’t really have any regrets in life, but maybe this would be one of the exceptions. Though for a moment it seemed like their relationship had actually begun looking up, a series of events after that made them more distanced than ever. Candice, as she had all through their teenage years, had become the embodiment of everything Delilah wanted, had, and then lost during the ten years. And so for the rest of the decade, Delilah left- and therefore lost- her only real chance at a family.

So, with only a few conversations and drinks in, Delilah walked out of the crowded room, knowing that there was no chance of fixing the broken relationship. She found herself walking around the perimeter, without a real direction at all. Maybe to merely look around the yacht they were in, compare it to the many others she had been on, maybe to get off at the next closest pier and truly disappear. Or just to go back to New York. Where she belonged. There was nothing else keeping her here, anyway.

While usually, Delilah would just walk past an engine room, some contaminated death trap someone like her would never step foot in, she couldn’t help but stop at the sound of the familiar voices behind the door. Daniel and Andy in a room together? She had to let the curiosity get the better of her with that. The heavy door swung open after some minor struggle, revealing the two men whose attention had automatically changed to the sudden loud noise of the opening exit she didn’t know they had been waiting for. “Hope I’m not interrupting,” She stated, in an amused yet monotone voice, hiding the surprise of seeing Daniel for the first time in years. “I just heard something about a threesome, and it appears this is the correct place?”

”I’m glad I could be of some use, my dear… what were you? My secretary? But I’m not going to complain. Being a Prince of Mesopotamia for some time was kinda cool,” Dorian replied laughing, thinking back of that day and the little he could actually remember. That conversation he had was the only thing he could recall from that party, besides his very short encounter with Jessica’s parents for the first time. The time he spent with her, the rest of his night has always been more important. Just kids having fun in a city that was unfamiliar to him, a city he liked, or at least all of her favorite places she showed him. ”I don’t think they do. I never really understood that… it’s so stupid. Who keeps track of all the people they banned? But if they somehow do I’m pretty sure we could work something out. Could they really say no to me?” It was a joke but there was some truth in it. Him being a famous football player could make up for it.

”Yes… Go back and go buy some stuff for the baby,” Dori added with a soft smile, before kissing her forehead, letting his hand rest on the back of her neck. He could see she was still a little bit shaken up so there was nothing else he said to that - leaving that conversation for when they make sure their baby is alright.

Was it working, what he was doing? It seemed like it was, it also seemed like he was just seconds away from winning. Her enjoying his touch and then her unsteadiness, looking away… there was no way she could somehow be in control again. He was, and it was getting fun… and she was about to prove it. As she got up and pulled him in for a kiss, his hands quickly moved to her lower back. A slight smirk mixed with a quiet moan escaping his lips, Dorian tried to pull her closer to him, leaving no space between them but she had other plans. His hand now getting tangled in her hair, he slowly opened his eyes looking at a girl moving her lips down his chest and stomach. That slight smirk he had on disappeared the moment she stopped and leaned back against the bed… or maybe she wasn’t going to prove it. A look of disappointment was clear on his face as he just looked at her, not saying a word. That was… the worst way to end it and she wasn’t making it easier.

But a weak smile met his lips, seeing her trying so hard to resist giving in and she was doing great, he had to give her that. Better than he expected which was only making things worse because… he was hoping it would work. He was hoping that would be it, almost an easy win, especially after seeing her reaction. Hoping she’d break before he did, and he was trying really hard not to. Trying hard not to imagine what she was saying which wasn’t really working in his favor - now that was the only thing on his mind and it was stopping him from figuring out his next move… He had nothing, there was nothing left to do. Continue what they started and lose or gather some strength to simply get up and ignore the situation, leaving them both high and dry… Wanting to give in and being competitive surely did not mix well.

That’s why he didn’t do anything right away. Why it took him quite a while to speak up, but when he did he was hovering over her again. ”Yeah? Go on then, I don’t mind watching but…” Letting his lips brush over hers, he moved to her neck down to her stomach, stopping like she did before looking up at her. ”Wouldn’t it be better if I helped?” For a short second he straightened up again, but his lips quickly found a way to her inner thighs, mumbling. ”Do you not want that?” At this point, everything he was doing was not only affecting her, he was making it hard for himself as well. He enjoyed all the teasing when he knew that would lead to something more, but now? He could only hope it would… hope she was getting annoyed with it like he was, because all he wanted was to just… Well… What he actually did next, when he gave up. ”We’re not doing this again,” another mumble before he pulled her towards him.

Lil? Skip

That was both his favorite and least favorite bet. Favorite because it was fun seeing her try so hard to make him lose and because of how it, in one way, ended and not favorite because he lost… when he had a winning streak. He should’ve know from the very beginning that it was a bad idea but he was so sure she would be the one to lose before the day ended. So sure right now he’d be saying told you so instead of, ”Have I told you we’re not betting on something like this again?” There was a playful smile on his lips, his arms still wrapped around her as he tried to slow his breathing. All the tension made this one of the best times they’ve had… and don’t tell her this but maybe he actually wouldn’t say no. Just so he could see her lose.

Regrets. In the entirety of Jordan Williams’ life - he only had a handful of them. The reason for that was the simple fact that Jordan lived his life with the mindset of never wanting to have any regrets… he never… n.e.v.e.r wanted to become his father. To be a man who had no morals, who drank himself to death, who hated his own son. Unlike his father, Jordan gave his all to his family. To his beautiful wife… to his kids. His regrets were limited when it came to his family. Today, however, Jordan had new regrets… regrets on what he did to his Sadie… if she even would be his anymore and he couldn’t blame her if she didn’t want to be… as much as it would kill him. Regrets about Jezebel and how he treated her over the past decade. Regrets over… everything.

But all of his regrets came to one person when he looked at Sadie Williams, who for the moment looked so small. He hadn’t seen her like this in years. Rather, all that lack of confidence she had when they first met simply disappeared over the years as she became a strong, confident person he knew today. There were so many things running through his mind as he looked at her and each and every one of them made him want to shrivel up and die right then and there.

“Do you love her?”

That question… simply… hurt. And for a few minutes - Jordan Williams was lost for words. Love… now that was difficult. Because for a majority of his life, Jordan had loved Jezebel Sloane and hearing what she had said a few minutes ago… immediatly brought those feelings back. There wasn’t a simple yes or no answer to this. The thing was Jordan Williams, in a way, would always love Jezebel. Love what she taught him… the memories they had together… the life they could have had. But none of that negated his feelings for Sadie now. He loved Sadie with all of his heart and he didn’t want to hurt her but at the same time… he couldn’t lie to her.

“Sadie… I…” Jordan started as he reached for her hand, a sad expression on his features. “I made a vow to you the day I married you that I would always tell you the truth and…Sadie… I can’t say that I don’t love Jezebel because part of me always will love her. She was… my first love and she has a special place in my heart but it’s not the same way I love you. Sadie… you are… my everything. The person I want to see when I wake up in the mornings and the last person I want to see when I go to sleep. I love you Sadie Williams. I love you as much as the day I married you. Hell I love you more and I just… I can’t lose you.”

“God Jezebel, get over yourself,” Riker stated, frustrated by her words. How dare she think that he was the one in the wrong here - really? After kissing a married man she had the audacity to come after him. "You know… maybe there was a time I tried to like you. But over the years all I saw was that Jordan was consistently hurting himself over and over again over you when you weren’t fcking in his life. And what happened the moment you were in his life again? You led him on. You played with two different people because of what? Because all hail Jezebel Sloane who has two men fighting over her that she can’t realize it was killing Jordan to do so. At least I was always looking out for Jordan - I doubt you can say the same, Riker responded to the girl. Part of him just wanted to leave. What was the damn point of this conversation. What he should be doing is going after Jordan to make sure he was okay and make sure that the man talked to Sadie. Despite this, he stopped in his tracks at her next statement about causing him more pain.

What do you mean lie to him? Everything I said was right in front of me written in black ink. I only told Jordan something you should have told him years ago because I’m a good enough person to know that he needed to know the truth. And if that truth pushed him away from you, well so be it. At least it helped him move on from your toxicity but somehow, you always seem to reel him back in just like you did right now. There was something in her voice that was making Riker falter slightly. Had he made a mistake all those years ago? Maybe but what was done was done. Riker hadn’t lied to his friend… a man he considered a brother. The only person who had was the girl in this room. There was also something in her next statement that made him stop. Honestly, Riker never thought she regretted what she did. The tears she had he had always regarded as fake. But something in her sentiment about killing her inside made him stop. “If you’re going to continue to act like I’m the bad guy go ahead Jezebel. Finish what you started. What did I do that was so damn wrong? I told my best friend something that a girl he was starting to like was hiding from him. I protected him just like his mother had asked me to do when I was 10 so please, Jez, go ahead. Tell me how I’m the bad guy in this scenario,”
