Arriving to the school miraculously early, Tala put up a merry smile as she crossed the halls of Cerulean High. She already had her gift given, and she grew more and more excited the closer she got to her locker. Every Christmas season, her favorite part was the giving and receiving of gifts—her family would use the method of Secret Santa who will “grant” at least one of the things in your wish list. It has always been exciting; what more if she tried it in a more challenging way?
But for some reason, she suddenly got nervous when she stopped in front of her locker. For some reason, her guts told her that what will greet her might do something bad for her. Perhaps it was because it’s her first time doing the latter with new people, or perhaps it was because the activity involved the Blue Royalty. Tala took a deep breath to regain her composure and opened the locker door with no second thoughts.
What she saw immediately made her calmer. It was some kind of white garment—something that didn’t make her worry about something. Unfolding it slightly, she was happy to be gifted something that she’ll probably like. Deciding that she should check it later when she arrives home, she returned it to her locker and was about to get her school things when she noticed something more. Her brows furrowing, she reached for a piece of paper that she anticipated to be with the clothing.
She gasped at the sight of its title. A complaint? Little panic rising from her, her eyes quickly shifted to the name, thinking that this must be some kind of a hoax. She calmed down, seeing that her name wasn’t on any corner of the paper. Silly me. Why would someone… But yet again, her eyes widened in surprise when she recognized the name. She stared at it for more than a moment, moving on to the other parts of the document. She did not know what to exactly feel. Is this true? Is this false? She did not even understand why it was her who needed to see it. Who even sent this?
With a vague hint of worry etched on her face, she decided not to dwell on the paper anymore further. She took the other gift and hid it there as if it was a secret she needed to hide, quickly picking books and closing her locker. She turned to the hallway and noticed a lone girl just a few lockers away from her. An unfamiliar face she was. Not that she knows everyone in the school, but she was almost familiar to everyone’s faces.
“Hey there!” she called, as she walked near the girl, making sure she wasn’t invading her privacy. She seemed bothered by a paper (?) she was holding, only piquing Tala’s curiosity. Although she really wouldn’t want to disturb the girl, she felt the urge to approach her anyway, because why not?
@Littlefeets - I’m really sorry this took like an hour Dx
