Oh my dollar valentine was not something Dorian ever took seriously. He did like to participate and he would always wonder who he would get, but just for fun and a little laugh. His answers were also always honest and being honest now was what he was trying to do as he was leaning against the wall right next to the lockers. There were so many new students this year so that made things more entertaining and one of those students caught his attention, right as she passed by him, making her way to her locker.

“New girl,” calling out for Sadie, he put on a cheeky smile trying to cover the fact he couldn’t remember her name, one again. From their first conversation she seemed like a genuinely kind girl and that was what he needed now, when probably half the school hated him because of the anonymous messages. That didn’t make him stay under the radar, in fact he liked the attention but he was trying to pick the right people to talk to.

“Is this the first time you’re doing this?” Seeing she was working on the survey too, he curiously asked, not sure if other schools had such an event. Plus it seemed like a good conversation starter. “Anyway, I need your help. Just don’t copy my answers, no cheating!” Jokingly adding, he pinned his paper against one of the lockers looking at her with a cheeky smile before shifting his gaze to the third question. “Should I say I’m funny or charming? I can’t really decide.”

Aline Ribeiro

It had been a while now since Aline and her siblings had returned to America, and a couple of weeks since she and Luciano had came back to Cerulean High. She had enjoyed getting back into the go of things, and catching up on all that occurred had been an entertaining task for her and it helped her feel like she hadn’t missed out on much.

The tides of gossip kept churning, however, so even if Aline missed something, there was almost always something new for her to learn about. Like that morning, the latest blog post featured a scathing report on the Blue Blood members, which Aline ate up with hungry eyes. The bit about Tala, she hadn’t quite expected, but she assumed that the homeless guy must’ve done something to her friend to have made her react so violently. Aline was more concerned about what had happened to her then the actual feat of beating up the homeless guy. Once she’d shown the blog to Luciano, she’d known that he was going to ask Tala about it, so she knew that one way or another she’d find out about Tala’s motives.

The school was starting to be decorated for Valentine’s, a day which Aline loved. She adored the idea of a day for lovers, and deep inside her, she longed for a real partner. So she filled out the Oh My Dollar Valentine survey, hoping that it presented her with options of good suitors. This was high school, so she doubted she and a partner would last, but she preferred to live in the present anyway.

Later, she’d found herself leaving the school perimeter, for no reason in particular, just to feel a taste of adrenaline again. Aline stopped at a local Starbucks to grab a tasty Frappuccino and was going to continue on when she caught sight of a girl she recognized from school on the other side of the road. The girl—Ally? Victoria? It was on the tip of her tongue—seemed to be heading back to school and while Aline hadn’t planned on going back just yet, she figured she might as well grace her with her presence.

“Hey,” she called to the girl, lightly jogging across the street to join her walk. “Skipping too? I like you already.” She fell into step beside her, conversation easily falling from her lips. “You go to my school right? I’m Aline. You’re, uh, Veronica, right? No, Allison? Ay, I should know your name but, seems like my memory is failing me.” She offered a sheepish smile.

As Candice left, Valerie sighed as she stood at the window, and watched the car drive off into the distance.
She had so many mixed emotions at that moment, she was mad, sad, worried, and all at the same time.
She wanted CC to be happy but she knew there’s nothing she could do and it made her feel even worse.

She knew she didn’t have to worry when leaving the house because there was nobody here, but she decided to sneak out the way she came, she wanted to be able to do it smoothly if she has to sneak in again.

It was still the middle of the day, but she wasn’t feeling like going to school at that moment, so she decided to drive to Starbucks and maybe relax a bit with some drink or something of sort.

She walked into the shop and ordered a large iced tea
Hey,
She heard a voice and turned to see who was calling. She noticed a girl, recognized her from school but couldn’t recall interacting with her too much before.

Skipping too? I like you already. You go to my school right? I’m Aline. You’re, uh, Veronica, right? No, Allison? Ay, I should know your name but, seems like my memory is failing me.

She wasn’t in the best mood, but she knew she had to hide it and not let out CCs secret in any sort of way or even in a way people can guess what happened out of her mood.

She chuckled at Aline’s comment “Valerie” she corrected her “but you were kinda close” she smiled lightly
“frappechino powers are stronger than school gates ah?” She asked with a light smirk

Watching his actions at that moment, she was just a bit confused, not seeing how the person she heard stories about was actually the guy standing in front of her. Maybe it was because they were there only for a few minutes, but he seemed like a chill, sweet guy. “Could be better, but yeah, I guess it is,” whispering her words, obviously referring to the recent blog post, she looked down at the ground for a second before shifting her gaze back to him, returning the smile.
Making sure Kara was ok didn’t mean other people would magically forget about it. The day only started and there was plenty of time for someone to bring it up. Including him.

“I actually am excited,” managing to put on a genuine smile and not worry about the blog, she nodded and relaxed her arms, putting her hands in the back pockets of her jeans. And her excitement was very noticeable in the tone of her voice. It probably seemed silly, but she liked events like that and couldn’t wait to see who she would get. “You seem excited about it too, correct me if I’m wrong?” Just from the smile on his face, she could guess he felt the same way which was strange to her because he didn’t seem like the type to care about that, just like most guys she knew didn’t. “You just don’t seem like someone who would care about it and I don’t mean it in a rude way. I’m sorry.” Saying it through a chuckle, hoping she actually didn’t offend him, she casually placed her hand on his arm in a reassuring way but quickly pulled back. “But it’s our last year so why not, right?”

While stretching her arms in front of the bathroom door, she started to feel bored because she didn’t know what to do before class. Wandering around was better than sitting in a hard chair, so she walked around the hallway looking at the Valentine-themed items. She spotted a huge pink balloon tied up by a table. “I’ll just take this.” She untied the balloon and took out her phone to take a selfie with it. “Eh…it’s not that cute but it’ll do.” She snapped the selfie, but someone walking behind her photo bombed it. “Ugh, if you wanted to be in the photo, you could have just asked me.” She rolled her eyes sarcastically while showing him the picture. “Look what you did.”

As soon as the girl said her name was Valerie, bells of recognitions rang in Aline’s head. “Oh, Valerie!” She hadn’t had a name to put to the face before but yes, she had heard of Valerie. Her eyes flicked over the Valerie standing in front of her, her appearance fairly similar to the one she had created of her in her mind. “You’re Valerie,” she repeated, a genuine smile stretching across her face. “You’re that girl who f*cked that guy 's father. Dios mío.” She sipped her frappucino, laughing slightly. “Have to say, I kind of worship you for that.”

“Frappuccino powers are stronger than school gates ah?” Valerie remarked, which Aline laughed at. She knocked her drink against Valerie’s nodding. “You know it. But many things have greater powers than the strength of the school gates, school gates don’t keep me from leaving much.”

You’re Valerie,
She nodded lightly “that’s me” she chuckled and sipped her iced tea
You’re that girl who f*cked that guy 's father. Dios mío.
I-
She covered her mouth with her hand as Aline’s comment caught her by surprise
“Yup that’s still me”
Have to say, I kind of worship you for that.
“Can’t hold me back from a good time“ she smirked and ran her hand through her hair

You know it. But many things have greater powers than the strength of the school gates, school gates don’t keep me from leaving much
She nodded and sipped her drink “Fair” she added eith a light shrug “there are some good days though” she added

“Seriously. Whoever they are, I think we’d all like to give them a piece of our minds. It makes me wonder how this all compares to when my mom was a senior.” Jezebel knew things were wild during her mom’s attempt to become Blue Royalty, but that was about the extent of what she knew, aside from the circumstances leading up to her existence and her mother being blackmailed to ensure she wouldn’t make it into the Blue Royalty. So she did wonder if it was crazier than what they’d experienced so far and what they would. Jezebel nodded as she listened to Mikel. “Don’t know about our classmates, and you might catch some heat for it at home, but I don’t care. Most people sleep with people they probably shouldn’t, so why should it even matter. Like any of our classmates could try to claim they’re innocent anyway.” Jezebel gave a sweet smile. “Nah you do. You have a reputation with me. A reputation for consistently making my day better. And I don’t think you have to work too hard to keep that reputation intact.”

Luciano Ribeiro

Luciano had spent the next few weeks after his return to Cerulean High just reacquainting himself with all the friends he hadn’t seen in a while, and getting right back into things. He wanted to catch up with what had occurred while he was away, but not for gossip, because he liked knowing what was going on in the lives of his friends. He was just caring like that.

It seemed that he didn’t even have to ask them, as that morning Aline showed him the new blog post for the Blue Bloods, which detailed what they got up to in their free time… to put it kindly. All of them piqued his curiosity, some raised mild concern but the one he was truly confused about was the one that featured Tala. She was one of his and Aline’s closest friends, and he didn’t think she would just beat up a random homeless guy on the street. Aline seemed less concerned than he did, but that was probably because she could understand why she did it, even if she didn’t know her motives behind it.

As he walked into school that morning, he noticed that the school walls and such were beginning to have Valentine’s decorations placed on them. Lui found the day slightly overrated as he didn’t understand why one needed a special day to give their partner the love and attention they deserved every other day of the year. Each year, though, he found himself getting wrapped up in the traditions of the day, even though he found many of its aspects absurd. It was partially for this reason that he found himself filling out an Oh My Dollar survey, and also because he was curious about who he would match with. He had a person in mind that he hoped would show up on the list, but he wasn’t sure if they would even be interested in him, so he let the thought fizzle out.

He’d just finished filling out his form when he caught sight of Tala not too far away from him. Handing it in, he walked purposely towards her, his eyes searching her facial expression long before he came within arm’s distance of her.

“Tala,” he exhaled, greeting her with a brief but warm hug. “Have you, uh… seen the blog post?” He scratched the back of his head, not entirely sure how to go about this conversation. “What happened with that whole… incident?” He asked, his face free of judgement or any like emotion.

Valerie seemed to be startled by Aline’s comment but Aline didn’t really care about whether the remark bothered her or not because otherwise, it would’ve sat between them as the elephant in the room. She thought it was best this way, and besides, she really did think Valerie was all kinds of bad*ss.

She noted that Valerie didn’t shy away from the accusation, instead, she owned up to it, sort of proudly in a way. “Can’t hold me back from a good time,“ Valerie added. “I knew I liked you,” Aline replied, shaking her head with a smile on her face. “Love a girl who knows how to have fun.” She glanced up at the girl, eye shining. “There is a question that burns though; did you know it was that guy’s dad at the time? Or were you more of an accidental homewrecker?” She grinned, mischief dancing across her face.

“There are some good days though,” her Starbucks companion said, to which Aline shrugged. “Mmhm, but I’d rather enjoy those days not in school.”

Reina nodded slightly as she listened to Ruby. “See, you’ve had some friends who were willing to stick with you. So there’s no reason it couldn’t be the same a future significant other. Someone will be right for you, possibly sooner than you’d think.” Wish I could say the same for myself… Reina paused as Ruby said they had their next class together. She had seemed hesitant to even bring it up. Reina nodded in response. “Yeah, we can. We’re both going to be headed to the same place, so why not walk together.”

Ruby nodded. “Yeah, that’s true…you should see me flirt. Very awkward…oh, I’m glad you’ll walk with me. We actually should get going.” Ruby said, checking the time on her phone. She stood up, going to throw her trash away. She rejoined Reina, grabbing her backpack. “Math…yay.” She said dully, doing jazz hands. “Forty minutes of hell, here we come.” She said, slipping her backpack over her shoulders.

“Hey don’t think you’re alone in that. Me plus trying to flirt, does not equal anything near a half decent attempt at flirting. Something to laugh at, at best.” Reina certainly didn’t have enough self confidence to flirt well at all, and she was by far too insecure to even try. Not that she’d risk it knowing how anything would go if things went beyond just flirting a single time. Reina smiled with a nod as she gathered her stuff into her bag. “Math isn’t that bad. There are a lot worse classes it could be, but I’m more into science, which has more math to it. Biology especially.” Reina shrugged slightly before standing up. “What are you into then, if you don’t like math?” She asked curiously.

Ruby laughed. “I guess you trying to flirt is disastrous, huh? Honestly, I like science too, just not the math part. At least it’s not gym…” Ruby shuddered, having flashbacks of screaming as dodgeballs were hurled at her. She was having a bad hallucination that day and thought she was being attacked. Well, she was, but she thought she was being attacked by something worse than kids with balls.

“Whoever they are, I think we’d all like to give them a piece of our minds” He chuckled at her comments and wondered to himself what she would say to this person if she found out who they were. “and you might catch some heat for it at home,” He wasn’t how sure she was about this, the only one who may have something to say and reprimand him would be his grandfather and that’s only if his mother told him the news. He did sometimes think his parents wished they would’ve adopted another child at this point, with how much trouble he has caused them. They proably thought that they were getting a smart, sporty, and prized child but instead, they got one that has caused them stress and heartache.

“You have a reputation with me. A reputation for consistently making my day better.” “Aw, Jez you are going to make me blush.” He smirked over at her and rested his head in his hand as he looked over at her with a tilt of his head. "And I don’t think you have to work too hard to keep that reputation intact.” He may have made a joke about what she was saying but he did actually really enjoy hearing it, especially coming from her. He hadn’t had a real relationship in a while, his last serious girlfriend being Selena and it was just really a friendship with some extra benefits. He wouldn’t be the first to ever say it out loud but he does like the thought of romance. He liked the cheesy stuff and even though he may not be surrounded by a lot of love in his life, its something he always knew he wanted. “I like that, you saying that about me.” He licked his lips and looked away from her for a bit to look back at the lights of the city and the sun was now fully in the sky.

“You know I am not really that guy though, well I was but I am not anymore…” Mikel told Jezebel and took off his glasses to rub his eyes. “I was at a different place in my life then.” He has tried really hard to stray away from that part of himself. He has pushed that side of him deep down. Jez has actually seen him partially that way and he is very surpsied he hadn’t ran her away right then and there.

If Jezebel were to have the chance to speak with whoever it was giving them tasks, and finding out everything about them, she would certainly not be nice and polite. Whoever was responsible had made her life difficult, that’s for sure. Jezebel didn’t know much about how things were with Mikel and his family, but she figured that at worst there’d be an issue about it with his family, since most of their classmates would be too preoccupied with their own stuff. She smiled at Mikel’s response to her. “Its true, I mean it. You make my day better.” Mikel really did manage to make things better for her. When they met, he made her not so great night actually decent. Then secret Santa, her present was one of the few good things that day. Now, they were together instead of being at school, which she hadn’t been looking forward to. He consistently brought a smile to her face even when it would have been a frown otherwise. She smiled a little more as she watched him look about at the view. She nodded slightly as she listened. “Who you were isn’t who you are, and it’s not who you have to be.” Jezebel didn’t scare easy. “Everyone has a past.”

I knew I liked you, Love a girl who knows how to have fun.
Valerie chuckled “in that case you’ve come to the right girl” she smirked. She definitely did know how to have fun, life of the party could also be a way tp describe her and she had no shame in it.

There is a question that burns though; did you know it was that guy’s dad at the time? Or were you more of an accidental homewrecker?
“I actually didn’t” she replied to the girl’s question “I found it out at the party at the begging of the year. It was a shocker for me too” she chuckled lightly

Mmhm, but I’d rather enjoy those days not in school
“Ah yes” she nodded and sipped her drink “you’re definitely not wrong” she said “but it’ll be over soon that’s itttttt final year!!!” She added with slight enthusiasm

The sun was bright today but it still had a chill to the air. It’s what he liked the best though. He liked fall and spring for the fact you aren’t already basically melting by 10 in the morning. Plus rain was always something he was intrigued by. When he did think he would go to college at one point he thought being a meteorologist would be cool but he hates science and his dad would never let that happen in a million years. Mikel still had his back pack on and pulled it around to reach inside of it to pull out his camera and take a couple shots of the view. Pictures were coming his loved. Always having the memories not only in his brain but also a physical copy of it. He always printed them out too and the good ones were tapes up behind his bed. He ha a million stacks of images on his desk and every time his dad and him get in an argument he comes in he threatens to throw them away.

“Its true, I mean it. You make my day better.” He stopped taking pictures and moved the camera away from his eye and looked at her with a toothy grin. “I’m glad…not many people have told me that. More like I got them in trouble.” He did mean the beginning it was touching and it hit him in a place he didn’t usually have emotions. He used the ending though as a coping mechanism, comedy. “Who you were isn’t who you are, and it’s not who you have to be.” He understood what she was saying but he didn’t fully believe her. No matter how much he tries to stir away from that side of him something happens and it comes out from hiding. It’s not like it’s only him either, it’s literally written in his genes. He sighed a little and shrugged to her while still looking her way. “Well since you know just a little about my past, tell me some of yours? What shaped Jezebel Sloane into the women she is today?”

Dominic put his hands in his pockets as he walked down the hallway. He looked around at the decorations with a bittersweet smile. Valentine’s day had always been Clara’s favourite day of the year. As he walked he saw a girl trying to take a selfie with this big pink balloon. He walked over and threw up a peace sign, chuckling when the girl realized what he did and showed him the picture. “Okay. I apologize.” He said to her, taking a step back. “If you’d like, I could help you take a proper picture with that balloon.” He offered, pointing at it.

Jezebel watched as Mikel pulled out his camera to take some pictures. As he took pictures, Jezebel grabbed her phone from her pocket and took a couple of quick pictures of him. She managed to get her phone back into her pocket just as he looked back at her. “My past, well that’s a lot, but to keep it simple, I’m just a girl who shouldn’t even be here. I’ve been raised as much by my grandparents as by my mom, but they’re always working and my mom’s usually off traveling, sometimes I’ve gone with her, but usually I don’t even know where she gone off to write about.” She said with a sigh. “Never gotten the chance to know my dad either, not that he even knew who I was anyway, and everyone knows how that went over with Daniel.” She shrugged. “That’s me and my past in a nutshell. Screwed up family life and no clue what to do with my life beyond this year.” Everything she said was true, just without the details. She loved her grandparents, but they were always busy and she reminded them of her mother’s mistakes, and her mother hardly even gave her the time of day. She had issues with her family, especially her mother, even the rare times when things were good.
