"We shall see. Can’t wait.” Yeah, so he definitely was going to do it now, no doubt about it. He would have to clear some time to actually dedicate the time needed to change it, but he was going to, for sure. And yes, he had made this decision on a very slight buzz, but his decision would have been the same even if he was dead sober.

"There is no point, complete lack of point, but it’s kinda fun.” He lifted an eyebrow, smiling gently. “Yeah, fun because of the people in it.” There were some parts of school that he enjoyed, the social aspect being one of them. Some of the classes he had were cool too—perhaps that was why he was still enrolled despite being a genius. "Sounds good to me. Time with you? Sign me up.” He grinned, nodding. “Exactly my thoughts.”

"Any ideas where to?” He shrugged. He didn’t really know yet where he wanted the final destination of the road trip to be, he just thought it would be fun to take one. A last hurrah of sorts. “Somewhere,” he replied vaguely with a slight smile. “Anywhere. The destination doesn’t really matter, it’s the trip that’s all the fun.” It’d be a nice way to spend some final team with Gio and perhaps other friends before they all went and did their own things. He knew in the back of his mind that he’d be going to college and Gio wouldn’t be, but he didn’t want to think of how that could change things. Especially if he decided to go out-of-state for school… well, there was no reason to stress about it now, when everything was still great. For all he knew, maybe everything would be as great then as it is now.

"Go on your highness.” He rolled his eyes at the title, snorting. “Yeah no, let’s not call me that,” he said, before going into the centre of the circle, where he met Elodie, who was grinning brightly. The sight of her complete happiness made him laugh softly, and he nodded. “Crazy birthday, yes, to say the least.” He was happy that it had been Elodie who had been awarded prom queen, not just because she was his friend, but because he thought that she so deserved a title like this. “Crazy day for you too?” Luciano asked her, slowly moving closer to her. As Jordan—the fact that he had returned was such a happy thing for him to note—and his band started playing a slow song, he placed his hands on Elodie’s waist, moving in time with her to the music. “You look beautiful, by the way,” he murmured with a soft smile. “Whoever your date is is a very lucky guy.”

Dorian DeLoughrey

Usually Dorian was the one being confident and sweet with his words, knowing exactly what he wanted to get from every conversation and even if he met some girls that were the same way he would always find himself getting confused, but never showing that. He would have a smile on his face, enjoying every word but never truly believing in it. Even if they were all being honest he would have some doubts, doubts he tried to ignore by making himself seem important. “Then I would say you know what having a good company means,” he shrugged his shoulders as a smirk remained on his face, noticing she had a smirk that matched his.

As she continued talking, he downed what was left of his drink, carefully listening to every word that left her mouth. He was flattered, it wasn’t a secret he loved the attention, wanted attention. “If I knew you’d be full of compliments I would’ve approached you sooner,” he jokingly said, taking a step closer as he continued playing with now an empty cup in his hand. “And thank you, I try to be,” he simply added with a cheeky smile on his face.

Hearing her mentioning Maverick only made him more interested in their conversation, completely ignoring everything that was happening around them. He would’ve never thought she would be here with Maverick, only because he had never seen them together before, he wasn’t even sure if they knew each other. He expected he would be here with Candice because of the rumor about them. As he kept his gaze on France, interested to hear what else she had to say, he noticed her looking away, making him do the same only to see the lights that were on two students. One being his sister. “It is,” he quietly added as a genuine smile appeared on his lips. He could tell what was happening and yes, he was happy.

Winning was something Elodie couldn’t stop talking about. She wanted it more than anything and this time he couldn’t be selfish and not vote for her. He wanted her to have that moment for herself but not just because he knew he wouldn’t win, not because he felt like she deserved it after what he did with Daniel, but because she did deserve it. He was sad he didn’t win but he wasn’t surprised, he knew there were some people that didn’t like him and because of that his chances were slim.

“She actually won,” he chuckled, crossing his arms and turning back to face France again. “And I didn’t. Unbelievable.” It was a joke and he did make sure to make it sound like that - laughing lightly. It was half a joke, actually, but he wouldn’t want her seeing he was slightly disappointed. “Did you hope to win?”

Usually Valerie was quite good at hiding her pain, she did it every single day and nobody ever suspected she was anything but a happy party animal. But this time it just didn’t work, no matter how hard she tried fighting it, the pain was just stronger than her.
She wiped the tears from her face and opened the car window to have some air on her face so she doesn’t look like she cried, even though inside her she had so many different emotions spiraling all together in one mess. She just had a bad feeling, this wasn’t like any other fight they had or feeling she had before, she just had a general feeling like something bad was going to happen, and she didn’t know what to do and it got her even more frustrated than before.
The only think she could think that might help her was a distraction, and what could be a better distraction than a party? Everyone knew Valerie loved parties, going to a party would make it look like nothing is wrong wouldn’t it? at least that’s what she hoped.
As the Uber arrived at the front of Mikel’s house Valerie looked outside, and took a deep breath before leaving the car.
The weather outside was absolutely terrible considering she was wearing a dress, not the most winter-like outfit but she didn’t even mind getting wet, her mind was so preoccupied she barely even noticed the cold and the fact that she was getting more and more wet with every second she spent outside. She headed towards the entrance, Mikel had a giant house, it took quite a walk and an elevator in the middle before getting to the part where he actually did parties most of the times. She walked in and ran her hand through her hair, she assumed she’s late but she didn’t know and didn’t really care. She pressed the button and waited for the elevator to come

Jezebel had no choice other than to walk away from Jordan even if she didn’t want to. If she didn’t walk away while she could, she would never have walked away. She wouldn’t have let him go like she had two years earlier, a decision that she sometimes couldn’t help but wonder if she made the right choice on. Everything could have gone completely different that day at the airport. Jezebel stood out in the parking lot as it started to rain, struggling to figure out what to say before she had a ride to Mikel’s. Jezebel looked at her phone to see Mikel’s response to her text. He texted her back at least, so that was good? Her mind was once again racing as she arrived at Mikel’s house. Prom certainly hadn’t gone anything like she expected. Everything with Jordan and with Mikel had her torn and confused, and then stuff with Daniel was yet another drain on her mental and emotional state. She was hurt by everything with Daniel, and she was in a worse place than normal with everything with her mom, then she didn’t know what she felt with Jordan, and Mikel saw her and Jordan kissing, so she was nearing the limit of what she could handle. Jezebel walked inside, searching for Mikel. It took her a bit, but she found him. “Mikel, I’m sorry.”

Elodie May DeLoughrey

Crazy day, that was exactly how she would describe it. From being miserable and thinking she would be going to prom with a random person to having back not only Jordan but Malachi. “You have no idea,” she shook her head lightly and chuckled as she took another step closer to Luciano, but her gaze quickly shifted towards the stage the moment she heard Jordan’s voice. As soon as he started singing again, she relaxed her face and gently placed her hands on Luciano’s shoulders - her cheeks burning from all the smiling so the smile she had on was now softer, almost not visible.

“Thank you, so do you,” she sweetly answered and looked down shyly at his next words. Yes, Elodie could be a very confident girl but she would never consider her dates or people she’s seen with lucky. It was just her but his words were flattering. “I guess Jordan is a lucky guy. I’m here with him, it’s one weird story,” she chuckled, for a second glancing at Jordan singing. But as soon as she looked back at Luciano the corner of her lips curved, revealing a soft smirk. “Your date is lucky too, you know that, right?” Elodie was never the one to invade someone’s privacy, she would never demand answers and explanations but she did like to know what was happening with her friends. “Gio, huh?” She whispered, sweet smile replacing the smirk just to show she was happy for him.

Maverick Weston

Maverick nodded slightly in acknowledgment of Brandon commenting on his suit. “Thanks.” Maverick knew Maya would be happy to hear that her choice of his suit was liked, even if he was mad at her for whatever she had done to get involved with Daniel Parker. That’s all that mattered, getting that task from Daniel done to protect his sister. As Brandon looked to where Maverick had pointed out the sign for the jalapeño poppers, he quickly used what Daniel had given him. As Brandon and Selena had looked back at him, Maverick slid his hand into his pocket, hoping neither had noticed him touch the drink. Maverick didn’t like it, but he didn’t have another choice. He shrugged. “You probably just weren’t looking.”

Mikels head spun but he sort of liked the feeling that hadn’t been there in awhile. The sad fact is because he quit everything his tolerance was very low and everything was hitting him quickly. He didn’t want to stop though. What was the point of stopping anymore? He didn’t think it mattered. There was no one to impress or even anyone there to keep him grounded. He had more fun this way. He was never stressed and his anxiety never got the best of him. He lined up some shot glasses, not to mention ones that were incredibly expensive and his mom had just recently gotten. He lazily poured a line of liquid across them all, more of it making it on the outside of the glasses. “Cheers to life being garbage!” He said raising his up high before tilting his head back and swallowing the whole thing. It going down more like water now. The group he was with followed suit.

Every time the door open his head shoot that way. It was just Valerie this time. She had been here before and looked like she was on a mission as she walked right to the elevator. The elevator was only here because my mom thought someday his grandpa would come back from Paris and move in with them but Mikel knew better. He knew he would never come back. There was nothing here for him really anymore. Mikel felt the same way and couldn’t wait to get out of here the minute he graduated. More now than ever.

This time when the door opened it was the girl who not only can take his breath away with one glance but also shattered whatever small strings he had left at this point keeping him sane. He felt his lips go up in a small grin but he wiped it away, literally. He used his hand to wipe across his lips and they went back to a frown. She didn’t see him right away which bought him time to drink some more. He knew in the morning he would hate himself for over medicating himself but right now he didn’t want anything else. He had strategies to help his high emotions but he threw those to the wind the second he came home.

He threw back another shot and heard an angelic voice apologizing to him. “Mikel, I’m sorry.” He looked over at her. His eyes had nothing left in them and his head tilted to the side. “Sorry for kissing another guy or just sorry I saw?” He hated cheating. He swore to himself he would never cheat and he would never be on the other side of it either. He pushed himself away from the counter and group of people, brushing up on her arm slightly as he walked. His hands tapping on his thighs playing some song, even though it wasn’t even close to what was actually playing.

“Let me guess you want to talk?” He asked her and started towards the stairs, he looked back at her slightly wondering if she would follow. He may be in another place right now but he knew he didn’t want to do this in front of everyone. He didn’t need her to feel anymore embarrassed and he didn’t want people to see him sad. Showing off his emotions made him weak, he learned that from his dad. He went to the one room of the house he knew no one was. His bed room. On the door was a make shift tapped up sign that meant to say ‘do not f*cking enter’. But the reality is he was already drunk when he wrote it and every other word was spelt wrong.

It was an incredible mess in here. All his precious pictures on the floor and scattering his bed. Even his favorite camera wasn’t on his desk for the first time in forever. It laid on the ground at the foot of the bed. “So let’s talk.” He said in a mumbled as he said down on the edge of the bed, leaning back into his elbows to support him. “Tell me how you love him and the kiss was so amazing, it was magical perhaps? Stop me if I’m wrong.” He said but wasn’t looking at her while he spoke. He always looked into her eyes when he spoke but not this time. He looked at his own fingers. The nail polish on them chipped away and he only wore one ring compared to the usual collection.

Lyonrad only shrugged playfully. He didn’t want to seem less cool to Kara when he answered that—he assumed that she would be if he played the “good boy who doesn’t drink” act, but he didn’t want to agree to her because he didn’t want to be easily drunk in front of her. Tonight should be the best night, and he wasn’t going to ruin it for him.

Letting Kara walk with her hands around his arm, they entered the venue and headed straight to where the drinks were. The first step he got inside, his eyes immediately wandered as if they were searching for a certain someone across the room—it was something he didn’t acknowledge, but there was a feeling of desire to find that someone. He turned his eyes to Kara, giving her a smile as they went through the crowd.

Lyonrad’s brows furrowed, his eyes following the sudden flash of the spotlight. A bad feeling mixed in at the sight of it—he knew he wasn’t going to like it. Making his way into a spot that would favor him, making sure he wasn’t away from Kara, he tiptoed to see what it was. And ah, yes—a pair of people, the Prom King and Queen, making their way onto the stage. He glanced at the Queen, his eyes staying on her for God knows how many seconds. She was beautiful, and she was certainly it. She fit the title. His eyes then moved on to the King, and they looked at him with distaste and disgust. Why is he the King? he thought, disagreeing of the fact that he wasn’t on the stage as how he would’ve been.

He heard Kara’s voice, his eyes still staying on the couple that was on stage. His brows were deeply furrowed as he took steps back. “Yeah, this is obviously not ri-” His words were cut off when he bumped on someone. His brows furrowing deeper, his lips parted, ready to scream at whoever was so careless to not watch their steps; he really planned to do so, but just as he was facing him, his balance went wrong—someone had pushed him, at least. His eyes widened as he fell, his hands trying to push the man in front of him… and yet he failed to do so.

His arms were now past the person’s shoulders, in a rather awkward position, his lips on an absolutely disgusting surface. It took him to realize he’d kissed Daniel Parker, and when he did was when he heard Kara’s question; however, he wasn’t quite in a good situation to answer that. He pushed his archenemy away, harshly wiping on his lips, lifting his arm and ready to launch a fuming fist of humiliation on his face.

Guilt was never a pleasant feeling, but it was one that Jezebel was becoming all too familiar with. “I messed up. I shouldn’t have kissed him.” No matter how kissing Jordan made her feel, and a part of her truly didn’t regret it, she knew she shouldn’t have. Jezebel followed Mikel down the steps and to his practically destroyed room. She saw his camera on the ground, which wasn’t right, so she picked up the camera to move it off of the floor before she sat down, because she knew it wouldn’t be good if the camera was damaged. She sat on the edge of the bed, looking down as he spoke, telling her to stop him if he was wrong. “I wish I could…” Jezebel really cared about Mikel, but she couldn’t lie about kissing Jordan. “I hadn’t seen him in two years, since we were dating. I didn’t expect him to be there, I was confused and had missed him, and we were alone, so we kissed.” There was really nothing she could say to try and make it better. She didn’t know what to say, so the best she could do was to be honest. It was just up to Mikel on whether or not he felt like giving her another chance.

“If I knew you’d be full of compliments I would’ve approached you sooner.”

France chuckled, looking down to her feet. She had only just noticed how close their feet were, but she didn’t mind at all. Flipping the hair that fell from her shoulders again, she looked back up to Dorian again. She lifted her brows and down with a light shrug casually, “Well you did, anyway,” she said. Her eyes made their way to Dorian’s cup, only just noticing they were now empty. They quickly returned to his eyes, “and I guess that’s a good thing for the both of us.”

She wasn’t one to be ecstatic about it, but France did hope to be Prom Queen. She heard it would affect her in the Blue Royalty, so she actually wished she would be. When she learned she wasn’t, she did feel disappointed, but she couldn’t blame Elodie—she did make her own name. “That’s something to be proud of,” she muttered, her eyes swerving to her partner on the stage. She watched as they made their way to each other, turning away in disinterest and facing Dorian again. She was met with a humor, letting out a chortle from her. “Unfortunately,” she said. “What girl wouldn’t, right? Even if I say no, it’s just basically yes. We love winning, don’t we?”

“I messed up. I shouldn’t have kissed him.” Mikel scoffed at these words and shrugged. “Well ain’t that the goddamn truth.” He said back to her and shook his head, his hair falling over his eyes but he didn’t move to push it away. He did watch her grab the camera and put it back up on his desk. In a way, he appreciated it but also was really made that she was being so nice to him. “Can you please not touch my things.” He leaned back as he continued to listen to her words about how she hadn’t seen him in years and how being alone meant they should kiss. He stood up quickly. “Oh, so every time I’m alone with someone I find attractive I should start making out with them? Maybe I should just f*ck them too.” He eyed her and noticed the coat she wore. “Maybe you did that too?” He questioned as he knew it was for a fact his coat. “There had to be more than just kissing obviously seeing as you have those.” He said referring to the hickeys on her neck.

He kicked a pile of pictures as he started to pace in the room. It wasn’t small by any means but he felt like the walls were closing in on him. He bent down and reacher under his bed to find one of the many hidden stashes that had been here for a little under two years now. Did alcohol expire? He wondered as he sat on the floor, leaning with his back on the bed and twisting off the cap. There wasn’t much in the bottle but it was his favorite so he let the rim stay on his lips. He was sitting facing away from Jezebel now, his side profile only visible to her. “Did he bring you here?” He wondered in a quiet voice. His free hand-picked at the hold in his jeans, playing with the frayed edges. “Do I just literally mean absolute sh*t to everyone in my life?” He said aloud but wished it would’ve stayed in his mind.

He finally looked over at her, making direct eye contact but his eyes were empty. They were red and glazed over. He wished he had eye drops because they were starting to burn but that could be because his emotions were starting to get the best of him. “It sucks that your so pretty…” he mumbled with a little smile and then let his head fall back on the bed limply. “I swear to God, I’d never fall in love but f*ck then you showed up and I can’t get enough of it…” He didn’t even really know what he was saying at this point but drunk words are sober thoughts, right? Mikel was spiraling down a slope he never thought he would be going down again.

He took another drink and stood up and walked into the bathroom. Staring at himself in the mirror for a few seconds before he gripped the bottle hard and threw it at his own reflection. He laughed at his own actions and peeked around the bathroom wall to look at her. “Sorry to be rude, did you want some?” He walked back into the room and looked around. “I am sure there’s more where that came from. Stronger things too…” He said but was really talking to himself out loud it just happens that she is in the same room as her. He looked back at her and leaned down on his knees, close to her as she sat on the edge of the bed. Close enough he could touch her but he kept his hands on the bed, on either side of her. “Earlier you said you were the broken one but I think I am actually.” He admitted to her, only another person to hear those types of words was his therapist. “Nothing works, the pills, drowning myself in alcohol. Nothing.” He shook his head at his own thoughts. “I was doing good. I finally had someone who cared for me as much as i cared for them but I guess that was all a lie.”

Daniel was leaning against the table, checking his phone at the various secrets emerging about the students. Prom night really was the night for everything to fall apart huh?

  1. It seemed the head cheerleader had just cheated on her boyfriend and he found her naked with his best friend screwing like bunnies - though what’s new? They’d been going at it since last year.
  2. Candice Clarke was seen crying in the bathroom soon followed by a crying Valerie Wood - *Ohh boy drama - yawn
  3. Anddd Mikel Lucas was seemingly drunk out of his mind - what a surprise.

The last one, however, did make Daniel do a slight double-take as guilt filled his body… though Daniel Parker would never say as much. After all, Mikel Lucas was no one to him anymore… at least, that’s what Dan kept telling himself. Checking the time, Daniel saw that it was time to deal with a… little issue with one of his many deals with the students at this wretched school. Though right as he placed his phone in his pocket, someone’s body was on top of his own, their slimy lips on his as well. No… not just someone - Lyonrad bloody fcking Fulcruth. The man that Daniel hated more than anyone else at the moment. If there was a list, he’d be at the very top after what he did to Jessica. To this day, Daniel Parker still hadn’t been told the exact reason Jessica disappeared out of nowhere - though he had deduced the reason through rumors and reading through Lyonrad’s text messages - which were disgusting in themselves. Lyonrad slept with his cousin and then broke up with her THE NIGHT OF - and there was no forgiving that.

After seemingly a joint push from both of them, Daniel spit, wiping is mouth and trying to rid himself of any of the revolting taste of the man. “F*cking hell… how could Jessica ever date you? You even kiss like a frog,” Daniel mumbled, gagging ever-so-slightly as he recalled the man’s lips on his own. Daniel felt anger bubbling up within him as he almost immediately went to punch the idiot - Thank you Master Garzon. What Daniel didn’t expect was the idiot going to punch him as well. Like what the hell - you kiss ME and then have the AUDACITY to punch me? Daniel thought, as both of their fists hit each other making more of a fist bump than any true action. “Hell,” Daniel mumbled, shaking his hand since both of them had punched… rather a fist bumped… with a similar force causing his arm to be in pain.

“Lyonrad, I don’t know what sexuality issues you’re dealing with,” Daniel started - drowning the cup of alcohol he had to wash the man out of his mouth again, “… but I’m not Jessica, so don’t fcking do it with me. Hell, don’t fcking do it with her either.” Daniel mumbled, Pushing him to the side, as he walked away. Daniel Parker didn’t have time to deal with… that idiot anymore. He was a waste of Dan’s breath.

With that, Daniel made his way outside - making sure on his phone no one had taken a photo of that nauseating interaction - and walked through the pouring rain to his car, finding that his date had already made her way to Mikel’s party. No matter - Daniel Parker had his own issue to deal with first.

~ Timeskip to the Party ~

As Daniel walked inside the party, the one thing Dan could say without any doubt in his mind was that Mikel Lucas knew how to throw a party. Even if it was something he threw together within a day. That’s something he always appreciated about his old friend. That… and the good booze. Though as Daniel headed towards the bar, his eye caught a girl walking in. He almost wasn’t sure if it was her… after all… it couldn’t be. Daniel made sure to deal with that… making sure they wouldn’t see each other for the rest of the year. Hell… for the rest of their lives.

But the moment he caught her eye, and she caught his… his heart dropped. It was her - Yara Keller. The girl Daniel Parker once loved. Yes… ironic. Whoever thought Daniel had a heart? Well, he didn’t and the reason for that was Yara f*cking Keller. Well that and Jezebel Sloane. Though, the moment he caught her eye, Daniel didn’t know what he was going to do but he didn’t want to see her. He wanted to… hurt her. The way she hurt him. Grabbing a bottle of whatever Daniel could grab, he raised it towards her and took a long drink before walking towards the elevator which Valerie Wood had just entered. He couldn’t believe he was going to do this - but Daniel ran slightly, catching the elevator. Turning for a mere second to make sure Yara was still watching before turning towards Valerie with an eyebrow raised. “Go along with this and I’ll owe you a favor,” Daniel mumbled, before grabbing the girl’s hand and pulling her against him as his lips found her own - making it seem as if they were more than what they were. Though perception was everything.

It was likely only for a second but once the elevator doors closed, Daniel pulled away groaning as he looked at the girl before taking another drink out of the bottle. “I probably have an STD now don’t I?” Daniel mumbled looking at the girl, just waiting for the elevator ride to end.

Mareena arched her brow jokingly,”Are you so sure about that?” She laughed and looked back up at him. “Mind throwing this away for me, trash lady?” She smirked. At least the trash lady here was somewhat nice. It was slowly getting later at the dance as she heard her phone beep. She reached into her bag. She’s got lipstick, money, and… ah there it is. She grabbed her phone out of her bag. “The party is now apparently.” She shrugged looking around, people were already heading out. “Seems like everyone’s going. Probably should go along with otherwise there will literally be traffic probably.” She rolled her eyes. She has been in traffic enough for her life. “See ya there?” She asked. Not sure if they would go separate ways, drive together, or what.

Mare sighed. She still had to do her tasks by the party. Hopefully they won’t cause too much of a stir. All for drama as long as she isn’t in it. Keeps this place entertaining. She hasn’t had too much drama including her thankfully. She has got to put up with it if she wants to be in Blue Royalty. No ways about. People will not hesitate to spread rumors about you. They hope that’ll knock you off that statue. Just gotta be better at this game than them.

The past few months have been definitely… eventful. But being back in Beryl heights made Yara feel somewhat relieved, even though there were certain things she preferred not to think of just yet.

She came back on the right day, but traffic and things spoiled her plan she she couldn’t make it to prom even though she had the perfect dress for it. But she didn’t let it ruin it for her just yet, since there was a party which she knew about even though she wasn’t physically there at the time.

As she arrived home, her mother was still at the office and her step father was away on a business trip, so she had the house to herself which she definitely wasn’t complaining about, if there was one thing she didn’t want right now, it would be family drama. That was one of the pros of being away for so long, she didn’t have to deal with her family just as much.

After resting a bit, hopping in the shower and getting ready, Yara made her way outside calling ab Uber to take her. She could take the car technically, but as much as there were many things she would do, she promised herself to never ever drink and drive, and she was definitely going to drink so…

Reaching Mikel’s house she took off her coat as she walked in, she put it aside and went in, headed to the bar she poured herself a drink and rested against a wall looking around, and of course the first person she saw was one Daniel Parker. She wasn’t even surprised, he always just seemed to be there, that same guy that she spent most of her high school years with, the only guy she ever loved, and god knew somewhere inside her heart she never got over him.

Seeing him felt weird, she hasn’t seen him since she left, it has months and seeing his face now reminded her of things that happened, and how everything fell apart, and how inside her she still partially blamed herself for it, even though it wasn’t fully her fault.

She looked at him and for a split second their gazes crossed, she could see he was surprised to see her, but one thing sure he wasn’t happy to. And next thing she knew he went into the elevator and kissed Valerie. If there was one thing she didn’t expect to see was Daniel and Valerie, they disliked each other for ages what happened? Maybe he really had changed like she heard… she didn’t have to be at cerulean physically to know Daniel changed, not for the better, and who knows if the Daniel she knew and loved was still in there.

Even though months have passed and probably both of them at least kissed other people or much more, but seeing him kiss another girl wasn’t really the first thing she wanted to see when she came back. She told herself didn’t mind, but she was jealous, looking at them just, just no.
She turned and walked away, and filled her cup.
Welcome back Yara, enjoy the party.

Valerie was standing inside the elevator waiting for it to close, totally lost in thought staring at thin air, not even noticing Yara was here again after months she was away. She was all flustered and confused, and god knew the alcohol wasn’t helping even a bit. She looked over at the mirror at the back of the elevator, it was now a lot less visible that she cried, only if someone really tried they’d see it so she hoped nobody will and she could just let it slide, maybe even making her own mind believe she can slide it.

The door was about to close when Daniel walked in pulling her focus back into present reality. Daniel? Really? Can’t she at least get in a stupid elevator without people that- Daniel. Just Daniel.

Wha- . She didn’t even have time or enough focus to respond and next thing she knew he pulled her towards him into a kiss absolutely cutting down her train of thought. Wait what?

As much as she never liked Daniel, she was too flustered and confused to even notice what was happening and pull away, so she didn’t. She didn’t even want a favor from Daniel she was quite capable dealing with sht on her own.
She didn’t even know what she felt about it, but this was the only thing that managed to make her feel somewhat good ever since she left Dominic on the dance floor. And who would have though Daniel Parker was a good kisser?.

Seconds after the door closed and he pulled back groaning, and she looked at him in somewhat shock while catching her breath back, as he took a drink out of a bottle he had in his hand
”I probably have an STD now don’t I?”
It took her a few seconds to reply, even though she was hyper focused now she was also super super confused, which definitely don’t go well together. ”Twice the charm” she replied regarding the STD, momentarily reminded of the girl that claimed he gave her an STD or something, even though it was just a clip short of a memory since she could really focus on any concrete thought at that moment.
Running her hand through her hair, ”Why-“ was all she managed to ask, still confused by the whole situation.

”Are you so sure about that?”
”You’re underestimating my capabilities Stokes” he raised a brow and shook his head lightly
Andy’s phone buzzed in his pocket but he ignored it, but at the same time Mare’s phone beeped so he assumed it was either a coincidence or a mass text “The party is now apparently.”
”Already?” He raised his brow partly surprised, it was still quite early he didn’t expect it to start just as soon, and thinking about it he hasn’t noticed Mikey around pretty much since he went on stage and announced his relationship with Jezebel to everyone.
*“Seems like everyone’s going. Probably should go along with otherwise there will literally be traffic probably. See ya there?”
”Sure” he said, “I’d offer you a ride but I’m with the bike and alcohol, don’t want to endanger you” he added running his hand through his hair. He didn’t mind doing things like that on his own but he didn’t want to endanger others, especially if they were important to him. ”See you there” he added with a light smirk and left her to her things going out to the rain and headed out to the party.

Daniel pulled away, taking another swing of the bitter liquor in his hands. Thank god he’d grabbed the whole bottle - he would need it the moment he got out of this elevator. Also thank god Mikel didn’t hide his top-shelf vodka, because without even looking at the name, Dan knew it was doing the trick - and fast. Exactly what he needed after seeing Yara at the party. So there he stood. Daniel Parker, alone in an elevator that couldn’t go fast enough…no seriously why was this the slowest freaking elevator in the world? And yes… he wasn’t alone alone, but as far as Dan was concerned, Val didn’t count. And he was already tipsy and growing worse with every passing minute - something that he didn’t do very often. Because when he was drunk, Daniel Parker couldn’t think clearly which meant things could go wrong and he wouldn’t have control of the situation. Though, for some reason that didn’t matter… rather, Daniel couldn’t get the look she gave him out of his mind. Bloody f**cking hell. This was exactly what he had been trying to avoid his Senior year. And he thought he was on a good path - Yara had mysteriously been offered a lead in a Broadway musical and who could turn that down? Not to mention, she was supposed to be offered another one. How Daniel knew that wasn’t the issue, the issue was why she wasn’t there in New York doing it.

A sigh left his lips as Dan leaned against the other side of the elevator, almost as if Val was truly contagious. He stared at her, not even commenting on what he had just done - Kissing her seconds earlier. Daniel raised his eyebrow at her comment about “Twice the charm,” and oddly enough, a slight laugh left his lips. “You know,” Daniel stated, “If we didn’t hate each other’s guts, I think I’d actually like you,” Daniel stated - knowing full well that the statement made zero sense. Though at this point, Daniel Parker had lost a few too many brain cells to care if he was making sense.

“Why-?”

Daniel looked at the girl with soft eyes, taking a deep breath. Daniel Parker wasn’t vulnerable, no… that had changed years ago. Shaking himself out of the state before he told her a little too much, he took another swing of the bottle, “I have my reasons… just let me know what you want. I don’t like owing people favors,” Daniel mentioned, smiling as the elevator finally came to a stop. Daniel was anxious to get out, however before the door opened… lightning quite literally shook the house and within an instant, all lights closed with the elevator only being filled with a faint red emergency light. “God you have to be kidding me,” Daniel muttered, pulling his phone out and groaning in frustration when he realized there was no cell service - meaning that the storm and wind had likely knocked out the cell tower.

Closing his eyes, Daniel muttered a few curses before sinking down to the floor. “Care to join me? Mikel may be an as$hole, but his family has the best security system in the world, meaning it’s not even worth trying to get out of here until the lights come on. Those elevator doors are titanium meaning they’ll keep us safe from any natural disaster… but we also won’t be leaving anytime soon,” Daniel muttered. Usually, he could hack into the system with his phone, but without cell service or any tools … and the fact that he was already tipsy on his way to drunk, jump wiring the elevator wasn’t worth it either.

So instead, Daniel Parker sat in the corner - watching the girl pace back and forth. “Please don’t tell me you have a phobia of small spaces… because 1. with all the sex stories I’ve heard about you in the oddest places, I don’t think that’s possible. and 2. We’re going to be in here for a while and watching you pace is only so entertaining and I rather you not use all the oxygen in this metal box.” Daniel stated the last part an attempt at a joke to lighten the already f*cked up mood he was in.

Elodie really was such a sweetheart. It was part of the reason why they were friends, she was just one of those genuinely nice people. It wasn’t hard at all to understand why she had been voted prom queen, obviously many other people shared the same opinion as him. So he shouldn’t have been as surprised as he was that Jordon had taken her as his date to prom. The surprise was more in the fact that Jordan was there, rather than that he took Elodie. “You went with Jordan?” He asked, his brows raising slightly. “Must be a really weird story, you’ll have to tell me all about it later.”

He wasn’t so sure that Gio was the lucky one between the two of them, but he lifted a shoulder in a half-shrug. “Maybe,” Luciano wouldn’t have considered Gio lucky for having him as his date, he thought of it as the other way around. After all, Gio was the one who had sacrificed everything for this one night, so it was indeed Lui who was the lucky one in that scenario, no doubt about it. It was sweet of her to suggest otherwise, though. She brought up Gio, and he couldn’t help but laugh softly at the smile accompanied by her words. “Yeah, Gio,” he whispered back. “That is also a crazy story.” The corner of his lips twitched upwards, hinting at the ghost of a smirk. Luciano’s gaze flicked back to where he had left him, the mischievous grin giving way to a gentle smile. “But yeah. Tonight went better than I ever thought it would.”

@astxrism - are we wrapping soon for le party?

“Fair, fair,” with a chuckle he replied and lightly nodded his head. “Who wouldn’t want to win? Stupid question,” he quickly added as his hand reached to grab the phone that was in his pocket. A few minutes ago he, and what it seemed like almost everyone around him, received a message he decided to ignore and give France his full attention - something he would always do for one reason or another. But he was curious and seeing what it was only made him happy he decided to check it. “Looks like Mikel is throwing a party now,” he spoke up, looking up at her for a split second just to see her reaction. All the flattering words only made him wish he would find her at that party. Getting the right kind of attention was always a plus, it would always make him like that person, make him want to come back for more. “I have a date I have to…” Clearing his throat and putting the phone back in his pocket, he looked around the venue trying to spot Sadie. “Find. But I hope to see you there?” Shifting his gaze back to her with a playful smile on his lips, he said… asked. He had some plans, had some things he had to and wanted to do but he could always find time for some extra fun.

This was not a sight Elske had expected to see. If she could even imagine how the room would have looked like beforehand. Wall decorations, colorful lighting spouting from all sides, a grand stage in the center of the place. It was all exceptionally cinematic and, at the same time, different, unknown. The girl moved her gaze from one part of the room to the other, absorbing all this blaze of colors. All the magic, as Aline said. “It’s hard to disagree with you.” Elske shifted her hand, this time grabbing Aline’s skinny wrist. It was a gentle but confident squeeze - definitely unplanned, but strangely right. Enchanted by this atmosphere, she decided to let it fill her up. She wanted to get caught up in this whirlwind of teenage fantasy for a moment. Forget about her plan, about the past, and the future. Live here and now. After all, this evening was never going to happen again.

Without thinking, guided by the spirit of the main characters in weak romantic comedies, she pulled Aline towards the bar. She pushed her and herself through the crowd of the rest of the party people. Some danced like there was no tomorrow, led by loud music. While others lost their minds in liters of probably remarkably expensive alcohol. Some experienced the electrifying sensation of a kiss for the first time, tasting their randomly-picked-partner in a poorly lit, cluttered corner. Elske was not curious about who these people were, although she felt a strange connection with them. They were no longer a collective, but a group with one goal on the horizon: having fun. And Elske was going to have fun tonight, get carried away, turn her mind off. Forget herself.

She sat down at the barstool, ordering “whatever-you-got.” The best drink for such an unreal night. She glanced at Aline. For her, the girl seemed concerned. She had already noticed it when she first asked her about the ball. Elske frowned. She didn’t want her partner to be occupied with any thoughts. Not tonight, at least. “You wanted to go with someone else, didn’t you?” there was no remorse in her voice. It was curiosity that gracefully formed the syllables flowing from the girl’s lips. Focused on Aline, she didn’t even notice as the crowd began to empty. How it started to shrink with every second, with every beat of the music. She was not interested in how this deceitful idyll occurred to slowly crumble, how all the slime started to appear on the surface: lies, quarrels, betrayals, and tasks sent to everyone just before this event. Elske got that text message too, but she wasn’t even going to read it. It wasn’t important now, and it never really will. “You got the assignments, too, right? Will you finish them all?" she asked her another question with the same amount of interest.

As she made her comment on the STD, a slight laugh escaped Daniel’s lips, and Valerie was pretty sure she hasn’t seen Daniel laugh or even smile in way too long, almost as if he wasn’t capable of it.
“You know,” Daniel started talking and Valerie’s focus was turned back to him once again as she rested her back against the wall on the opposite side of the elevator from Daniel, “If we didn’t hate each other’s guts, I think I’d actually like you,”
”Hm” she mumbled and raised an eyebrow at the statement. Trying to think about it she didn’t really understand what made him say that but if she gave it enough effort she could maybe potentially find a thing or two that’s decent about him, but at the same time she couldn’t actually remember why on earth they even hated each other in the first place, like yeah he’s kind of a d!ck, but they’ve been this way as long as she could remember, was there even a reason?
”Why do we even hate each other?” she asked ”I mean other than you kinda being a d!ck”

“I have my reasons… just let me know what you want. I don’t like owing people favors,”
”I don’t need favors” she said and crossed her arms ”I never came to you for favors before, pretty sure I can do things on my own” she shrugged and ran a hand through her hair taking a breath as the elevator stopped, waiting for it to open.
But as she thought earlier the night couldn’t get any worse, well now she has been proven completely wrong when the elevator stopped in emergency and red lights filled the tiny space.
“God you have to be kidding me,”
”Fcuk” she mumbled slightly momentarily panicking, and opened her phone seeing there was no service, she went to the door and banged on it, no reply. She started pacing around nervously, she didn’t like this, not at all.

“Care to join me? Mikel may be an as$hole, but his family has the best security system in the world, meaning it’s not even worth trying to get out of here until the lights come on. Those elevator doors are titanium meaning they’ll keep us safe from any natural disaster… but we also won’t be leaving anytime soon,”
”Why do you even know so much about Mikel’s elevator that’s a bit creepy” she asked slightly confused, but also not really since it was Daniel, that boy somehow always knew a lot more than he needed to.

“Please don’t tell me you have a phobia of small spaces… because 1. with all the sex stories I’ve heard about you in the oddest places, I don’t think that’s possible. and 2. We’re going to be in here for a while and watching you pace is only so entertaining and I rather you not use all the oxygen in this metal box.”
Valerie paused slightly biting her lip and rested her back on the wall before sliding down to a sitting position with a sigh, looking up at the light. She knew there were quite a bunch of stories of sort about her running around, and most of them were true, she hated being that girl, the class h0e, but at the same time it was the only way she knew to make herself feel like she’s worth something, even for a bit. That there’s something good about her and she wasn’t as worthless as she felt, even if it’s just her body as a stupid vessel for a fun time. It was just fun, it was satisfying, that’s just how it is. ”Weird places there are a few, but I never got stuck in an elevator before” she said and ran a hand through her hair shifting her gaze to Daniel who was sitting right across the room from her, with a bottle in his hand. ”You gonna finish that?” she asked and gestured at the bottle with her brows, if they were stuck here she’d definitely need more alcohol.
