Luciano Ribeiro
“Ooh,” he grinned, his eyebrows quirking upwards slightly. “Then I’m excited to hear about it.” The story of how she ended up going to prom with Jordan of all people was definitely one he was looking forward to listening to. He was curious as to whether the prom date was a friendly one or if it were more romance-based, but he would get the details later, when Elodie told him about it. Jordan was a nice guy though, so the idea of the two of them being together was a cute one to entertain. Or maybe he was just projecting his lovesick puppy attitude onto her, which was entirely possible.
His lips quirked upwards in amusement at her words. Luciano didn’t exactly know how to respond to that, and he didn’t think he was meant to. He never really thought that his happiness could be the source of someone else’s until Elodie had said that was the case for her. It only added to the general content glow exuding from him, which he didn’t think had been possible, considering that a multitude of good things had happened to him. Still, it was the small show of support from her that meant a lot to him.
The song came to its close, the last note holding through the air as the band played their ending chords. Elodie put a look that was meant to be threatening on her face, but it looked so comical to Luciano that he couldn’t help but laugh. “Woah, no need to get out the guns, I’ll be there,” he teased, a smirk playing on his lips. “Yeah, can’t wait,” he smiled. She stepped back, bowing, and so naturally, he curtsied, pulling up his imaginary skirts. Lui laughed slightly, nodding. “Thank you Elo.” His friend pulled him into a tight hug, and he smiled softly to himself, hugging her back. He raised his hand in a goodbye wave, then the two of them walked off in opposite directions.
He made his way through the crowd, weaving through the gaggle of people, back to where he had left Gio waiting earlier. It took him a moment before he spotted him again, but once he did, you knew, as a bright smile lit up his face. Luciano approached him with a small smile, greeting him with a gentle kiss on his cheek. “Guess who’s back?” He said with a grin. It was nice dancing with Elodie, but not so fun having the eyes of the majority of the promgoers on the two of them. He much preferred being back here with him, away from centre stage, so to speak, and able to blend in more. Being in the spotlight was just not something he really enjoyed.
Tucking his hands into his pockets, he tilted his head in the direction of the door. “Did you want to head to that party now?” He asked.
