Danganronpa: Alternate - Official Roleplay

She laughed, shaking her head. She did have somewhere to be though. Her family needs the money, even if they don’t want it. She starts to struggle with her breathing. With everything that’s been going on, it all seems to be setting now. She looks away from him before focusing on the end of the hallway. Just remember how it’ll be once she leaves this place. Rolling her eyes at herself, pathetic. “Oh yay, can’t wait.” She replied sarcastically, this school is practically a maze at this point. Luckily whoever gave them a map otherwise Sara would’ve already been lost by now. “Do we take the right or left up here?” She asked, noticing the ending. She bit her tongue to keep from blurting something embarrassing out. “Right on it, Rio.” She knew he did that on purpose which just infuriated her more. Then went back to how she was before, a lump in her throat, but showing a calm demeanor. “Well, hopefully it won’t come to that. Some students might go even more psycho and start taking the ‘Headmasters’…” She put her hands in quotations as she spoke of the headmaster. “…words seriously. Now that would be even more of a mess.” She sighed even thinking about it.

“Hmmm, seahorse. I’ve never really seen one in person but they seem interesting. Orca’s on the other hand…yeah I probably wouldn’t go near one.” He explained. When Nami mentioned searching the other parts of the school, his smile dropped. Somehow, during this conversation, he forgot what they were supposed to do. “Oh…uh. hold on.” He quickly ran to the stage and got his room key and handbook. Then he sprinted back to Namihei. “Lets see …” He looked through the locations and realized that they didn’t explore the classrooms yet. “I…I guess we could go to the classroom?” He said with a shaky voice. “I hope that bear doesn’t have any…tricks up his fur.”

Christina still had shaky nerves, but luckily the girl responded nicely. “Thanks. I thought you were going to curse me out.” She laughed nervously. The girls eyes were striking and she looked like a warrior out of a superhero movie. It was intimidating but intriguing, especially since she was taller than her.
Before she could say anything else, the girl introduced herself with a booming voice.

“Sorano Namikaze! Ultimate Jujitsu Master at your service.” She stretched her hand out as a greeting.

“Nice to meet you.” A small smile appeared on Christina’s face. “I’m Christina Jensin. I’m the…ultimate creative writer. Well mainly creative.” She cleared her throat, feeling even more intimidated by her ultimate title. “Do you mind going to the nurses office with me? I’m curious to see what’s in there.” She asked.

“So… you plan to waste your ‘precious energy’ doing the opposite? Either way, you’re still wasting it all on me,” he answered with a small smirk, the left corner of his mouth quirked upwards. “Anyway, judge me all you want for my supposed narcissism but… it’s hard to take seriously coming from you of all people.” When he had looked her up and down earlier, aside from her demeanor and attitude, the way she dressed, did her makeup, and accessorized gave him enough information to guess as to what type of person she was. The two of them clearly came from two very different worlds. Along with the fact that she was a digital artist… You would need at least some amount of money to get the equipment needed and then continuously perfect the craft.
As Shiniqua moved closer, looking him straight on and meeting his eyes eye, he decided to lean down a tad bit so that the two were closer to having the same eye-level. “You know, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Before I’m offed, though, at least allow me the honor of calling you ‘toothpick’, toothpick. After all, you really went all out with those nicknames there that I figured I’d try to give you a similar nickname as your favorite for me. Who would’ve known that you could be so creative?”

Naturally, Ryo failed to notice the change in Sara’s demeanor from her voice alone. He was not focusing too much on looking at her due to the limited vision and, even if he was looking at her, her ‘poker face’ would make it difficult for him to realize that she was someone anxious. “I believe, it’s a left, Miss Tenko,” he answered before pulling up the map once again to confirm it. “Yep, left,” he quietly affirmed, although more so for himself.
Eventually, Sara responded to his question, causing him to finally look over at her for the first time in awhile after shutting off his e-handbook. “Yeah, hopefully…” Admittedly, there was a part of him that wished the words would end up holding some weight… and that someone would set their sight of him for the victim. He almost felt as though he were cursed by this point. But analyzing his messed up thoughts would wait for another day. “You know, although the gun girl was a little brash and flashy for my taste, I mostly agree with her. That it’s not a question of ‘if’ someone takes what was said seriously but ‘when.’”

Namihei chuckled just a bit at Hinata’s response but could completely see where he was coming from. “They’re not so bad all the time, trust me,” he responded smoothly with a grin. He always enjoyed talking about the ocean and the marine life residing in it but he was careful to keep his hyperfixation on the low. Albeit difficult, it guaranteed that he didn’t overwhelm people-- not many would be too interested anyway.
As soon as Hinata’s smile dropped, Nami figured that perhaps mentioning that the two should be exploring was a bad idea. He was trying to be careful and keep the mood light throughout the conversation but… at the same time, what good would it do to ignore the situation they were in fully? Noticing the obvious shaky voice, Nami was quick to cut in and say, “Hey, hey, hey-- don’t worry about it, kid. I think if there were any tricks going on that someone would have found one by now and let everyone know. I’m a hundred percent positive that we don’t have anything to worry about right now… and we don’t have to go if you don’t want to; it was only a suggestion.” He attempted to pair the words with a reassuring smile, hopeful that it would ease Hinata’s mind somewhat.

Hitori nervously fidgeted with his fingers as he listened to the blonde girl in front of him who previously introduced herself as Akahana, the ultimate basketball player. Even though admiring the girl’s bright outlook on the situation, Hitori wasn’t quite convinced with Akahana’s pep-talk and disbelief regarding the situation.

Only a few moments ago he was intensely focused on the morbid speech about the “Killing game” Monokuma gave everyone Or to be more specific the rules around this gruesome game. As he immediately knew that once the black and white bear jumped on stage. He could tell a lot of thought was put into this and shouldn’t be taken lightly. As the culprit behind this was not only able to kidnap several students (Hitori himself having a full-on panic attack a couple of hours ago upon waking up in the close confines of a dirty gym locker) They were able to make a rather well functioning and nice-looking robot. All in all, it just seemed to rehearsed and too difficult to properly pull off for it to be a harmless prank or weird miss understanding.

The way Monokuma was built also seemed to be done by someone with a good amount of knowledge regarding developing and programming robots as well. As the bear didn’t look like something you could just buy at the store and was very nicely designed. Hitori also didn’t think the iron bear was a gone rogue either…very advanced AI perhaps or is someone else directly ordering Monokuma? Either way, the whole situation seemed rather off in Hitori’s opinion, but he still couldn’t quite place as to why…

Before the boy could get any more lost in his dwelling’s thoughts. His focus shifted to a tough and intimidating-looking girl suddenly jumping on to the stage next to Akahana. The sound of her combat boots hitting the wooden stage catching some, but not all of the student’s attention. It wasn’t until she began to take out a Glock. Hitori’s eyes began to grow visibly more concerned.
” She isn’t going to actually use that thing righ-” before he could even finish that thought a deafening sound could be heard echoing through the gymnasium.

Immediately letting out an involuntary shriek of a surprise when hearing the dreaded sound. Whilst unsuccessfully covering his ears from the noise. Hitori began to buck slightly down as he began to look up at the girl in front of him with slight fear as well as the overwhelming curiosity in his eyes. Waiting on what kind of stunt she might do next.

“Listen up, p*ssies,” the shooter said loudly as she demanded the attention of everyone around. She swiftly lowered her gun as she began to follow up her attention-grabbing statement with a threatening talk about the seriousness of the situation whilst making a provocative comment in between.“So please, if you’re stupid enough to try and go exploring right now, at least take two people with you. It’s the least you can do to not get yourself killed.” the girl said as she finished her talk. Her grey eyes looked threateningly at the crowd before her.

Hitori just gulped at her threatening advice before he finally decided to speak to her…

"You know you could have just said that without the gun. Now people might want to kill you or everyone will be thinking you are going to kill them instead. All in all kind of stupid thing to do ”he muttered bluntly to the brunette whilst occasionally shifting his gaze while talking inorder to avoid her steel gaze.

“I can do whatever I want. Why do you even care? It’s not like you use your energy to do something actually good.” she mocked, moving closer. “Seriously? If you knew me well, you wouldn’t tell that, so take that statement back!” she glared at him, which was frightening. Shiniqua was not the person to lose her cool, so this was surprising. She’d always avoid these kinds of situations and walk away. She had never been sassy and insulting to anyone, but this guy was an exception. He was getting on her nerves.

“You know, it would be so good if you just left this ‘conversation’. So now you’re stealing nicknames? I would say that’s so low, but I kinda expected it from someone like you. And you’re questioning my creativity? Oh please, an artist is always creative.”

This was the nicest person that Hinata had ever met. Most people would tell him to “suck it up” or “deal with it”, but for once someone understood what he was feeling. Even though he knew that, Hinata still felt the need to straighten up his posture and pretend he wasn’t scared. “No, it’s okay. My teacher always told everyone to persevere and I don’t want to hinder you. Let’s go.” His demeanor and voice started to channel captain shows that he saw on television. He opened the doors to the gym and stepped into the dark hallway. Then, he waited for Nami to follow him. Even though he wanted to lead, he had no idea where he was going and he didn’t want to make them lost. “Did you wake up in a classroom or somewhere else.” He asked.

With the two inching closer and closer, they were bound to be butting heads— literally. It felt as though there foreheads would press together just before one of them exploded in a fit of anger. The two were clearly not the most compatible in terms of friendship. Perhaps if they had gotten off to a better start, it’d be different but that was doubtful considering the lengths Ryo would go to to push people away sometimes.
“I don’t know you well, you’re right, but the first impression you’re giving? Since the moment you bumped into me?” He felt rather… tired. It took a considerable amount of effort for him to be sociable and anger or annoyance often quickly drained him. Although beforehand you could consider him somewhat playful with the way he responded (at least, in his eye), now he felt agitated. The remembrance of their current situation dawned on him once again and he could feel something similar to a migraine forming.
“I’m not sure that you understand what ‘stealing’ means. And it was rhetoric question with clear sarcasm, little one. Anyway, if you want to be done with this, then fine. I feel sorry for the person that gets stuck partnering up with you to search this place.”

Admittedly, that was not the response that Namihei had been expecting from him. He could perhaps see him agreeing tentatively but his voice felt more… full and steady. Not only that but he could not help but notice how Hinata’s back straightened-- as if he were forcing himself to take on a new role. “I’m impressed, Hinata. You’re completely right about that.” With a somewhat amused smile, he followed him into the large, dark hallway. It seemed as though it was a dreary sort of day-- the type where the sky is grey and lifeless --so there was not much natural light getting into the building which would have normally highlighted it’s features.
Almost instinctively, Nami pulled out his e-handbook so that they could have the map on hand. After all, it would be troubling if they got lost in such a large building. At the sound of Hinata’s question, he shuddered in remembrance of where he woke up. “Unfortunately, I woke up crammed into a locker… I think I still have the indents from the metal on my arms,” he replied, lifting an arm to see if they were still there. “What about you? I hope you woke up somewhere better.”

“I didn’t bump into you!” she protested, but she was lying. She had just started this argument, while this poor guy was just minding his own business. She looked away from him to take a deep breath. He looked a bit low, and she was tired of all this unnecessary bickering. She sighed and turned back to him. “You know what, I’m not doing this anymore,” she said, looking somewhat exhausted. “Call me 'little one, or ‘toothpick’, I don’t care.” She just wanted to walk away from this argument and spend time by herself for a while. As she turned around to walk away from him, she tripped and fell on the hard floor with a loud thud. Everyone looked around to see her lying on the floor, flushing pink because of embarrassment.

Katsumi’s eyes carefully scanned the room for anyone to searched the school with. Most students already seemed to have left before her so the pool of people Katsumi could still choose out of was rather scarce. Most people who were still left alone seemed to either be purposeful loners or too scared to even try and search the place to begin with. It was then that her eyes then suddenly caught sight of a tall blonde boy dressed in a leather jacket and dark grey tee standing seemingly alone near the entrance doors. His eyes aimlessly looking around the room.

I guess, he will do,” Katsumi thought to herself before turning her once serious expression into a more warm and friendly-looking smile. A smile she often used when competing in the many beauty pageants she often participated in. Because besides Katsumi’s big purple eyes that closely resembled her late-mother, it was her smile that often garnered her a lot of compliments. With her shoulders held back and her head held high, Katsumi began to confidently march towards the boy.

Not quite noticing her presence yet and having his back turned towards the small raven haired girl. Katsumi began to lightly tap his shoulder which immediately caught the boy attention as he began to turn around. “Hi, there I’m Katsumi Kojima, the ultimate beauty queen she said introducing with a smile a hint of pride behind her voice when stating her title” I see you also don’t really have anyone to look around the school with, so you wouldn’t mind partnering up with me, right? It’s after all much safer to have someone by your side than to wander off alone…

She nods, thinking about how long it’ll take to get down there. Should be a minute or two by now considering they are about half way through it. Left… he wasn’t joking when he said all the way on the other side of the school. “Hmm, Miss Tenko actually sounds better then Miss Tanako.” She hinted at her name as well during it. She took a deep breath and eventually, they were able to take a left. “How much Farther?” She asked, almost whiny. As much as she was fit, she was tired of trying to go around some place she has no idea what’s in. She listens to him, sighing. She didn’t want it to be a when, let alone even being in this place. Yet here she is. “Yes it is, as much as I- everyone wishes it wasn’t.” She pointed out looking, thankfully a much shorter hallway, but with a bunch of classrooms around. “Well RyRy, what do you think that we will find in the storage room?” She thought it would be the best idea to go there because of all the options that might be there.

”I didn’t bump into you!”
At this, Ryo raised his brow with an expression that said something like, ’Is that some sort of joke? Are you serious?’
After she declared that she was done with their ‘conversation’, that the bickering would end, Ryo relies, “Great. Sure thing, little one.” In the end, that was the one that stuck. That was that. He figured that two would be done now, so he turned his back towards her to leave. Yet a loud thud caught his attention and he spun around once more on his heel only to find Shiniqua collapsed on the ground. Initially, he snorted and his hand flew up to cover his face out of reflex. Despite wanting to leave her like that and despite knowing that he should feel somewhat satisfied, neither of those things happened. Instead the sight of her flushed with embarrassment and people staring at her awkwardly have him the urge to… help her. So with a heavy sigh, he walked over and extended his hand. He stared down at her, waiting to see if she’d accept it.
“C’mon. I was just about to go to the nurse’s office to look for anything useful. You might need some ice at the very least and we don’t have to talk. I’ll just show you the way and that will be that.” He kept it short and simple, explaining how he’d lead her if she wanted. Granted, it would be awkward. H*ll, it already was awkward anyway.

His brow quirked, lifting upwards into a delicate arch in response to Sara’s response. ’Very subtle, Sara.’
He hummed in thought before saying, “You know what, I think you’re right.” He was merely teasing yet he had a feeling that she would end up huffing and puffing. “Please don’t start whining,” he answered with something akin to exasperation. “See that door at the back? That’s it. We’ll be there in just a minute. The doors to the left are bathrooms and to the right is a regular classroom. At least, according to the map.”
As the two finally began to close in on the storage room, Sara began talking again. He was ready to respond but was thrown off guard by the… the… ‘RyRy’. He had never had such a physical reaction to something in a long time. Similarly, he had never frowned in such a silly way in a long time, if ever. He came to dead stop in front of the door and turned towards her slowly. *”RyRy…? No. Not acceptable, Saera.” After pronouncing her name wrong, he paused as if to seal the deal and emphasize that the nickname was a terrible choice. “Anyway. Based one the map, it seems like it’ll be huge so… if I had to guess, I feel like we’d probably be able to find almost everything we’d ever need.”
He took a step back and gestured toward the door, saying, “Do you want to have the honor of opening the door?” This… this was his best attempt at being nice and/or joking around with someone.

Shiniqua’s face had turned pink of embarrassment. She was taken aback when Ryo offered his hand. She didn’t expect him to help her after their argument. “So, you laugh at me when I fall and now you’re helping me? How ironic.” she rolled her eyes and tried getting up on her, but couldn’t. She sighed and grabbed his hand to get up from the floor. There was a sharp pain in her ankle. As her grip became stronger, her long, painted nails dug in his hand. After her little ‘show’, Jesse observed several kids whispering among themselves, while others were still venturing out to explore the rest of the school. She scoffed. Well, more enticing targets than me, I guess. She locked her Glock on safety, returning it to its holster when she heard a girl yelling, asking her why she had a gun. “Because I’m not stupid!” Jesse replied, deciding to pull her gun back out just to spite the girl.

Jesse was about to step down from the stage and find someone that could possibly be of use around here, when a boy approached her, questioning why she had used such an… agressive presentation method. Jesse laughed. “Well, if they think I’m gonna kill them, they won’t mess with me. And if they want to kill me…” She twirled the gun across her fingers. “…well, let them try. All in all, I’d say an A for effort, no?”

Jesse looked the boy up and down, deciding what to do next. I mean, he’s already here. Maybe he’s actually useful. “So… what’s your name?” Jesse asked, before continuing. “What’s this whole ‘ultimate’ thing about? I mean, I’m clearly not from around here, so…”

Sara drew a breath in, not expecting his response. She thought it would’ve taken a moment till he responded, she tried to calm down by merely focusing on putting her hair in a braid. It worked a little, but she could still feel the anger or heat, you could say, rolling off of her. “We can agree on it then.” She finishes her braid and throws it over her shoulder. Throwing her hands up, she shook her head,”Hey, didn’t say I was going to. You were just assuming.” She kept in a laugh before looking to where the door is. She would run to it, but why leave him behind. Bathrooms… good to keep in mind. “A staff room might be good too.” She spoke, mostly to herself so she could remember it. She let out a stifled laugh. “Ah, I thought it suited you, don’t you think? With some cutesy flair.” She slightly smirked as she spoke, ignoring the incorrectness of her name. She nods,”Sounds good to me.” It lifted her mood slightly, but kept it down just in case it doesn’t go the way she wants. She tips her head and opens the door,”Of course. “Crammed in a locker? That means that… someone might have stuffed you in there.”
He glanced at Hinata, only moving his eyes to look. His brow rose in question yet he remained silent. It was a peculiar situation but Namihei had his own theories. Would he discuss them? Most likely not. It never did any good to create fear where none is needed.
As Hinata continued, explaining where he woke up, Nami laughed just a bit. He could not imagine a place stranger to fall asleep then inside of a laundry basket. “Well, at least it must’ve been comfy, right? I mean… maybe not for Boki,” he tilted his head as a way to point towards the pastel puppet. “Honestly? Not at all. The last thing I remember was receiving my acceptance letter to Kibōyama Institute with my siblings around me… I immediately packed up and left but after getting in the car, it all goes black and the next thing I know, I’m waking up in a dark space.” He rubbed the back of his neck, a darker sadness shining in his eyes. It felt as though a considerable amount was missing-- like he had not seen them in ages. His siblings were everything to him and… to not know how they are doing?
He reverted to his normal, casual self rather quickly. “Kinda strange, right?” He sighed. He had been so distracted that only now were his eyes focusing on a door just ahead of them. “Ah, that should be the classroom, Hinata!”

Just as she rolled her eyes, he did as well. “It was instinctive. Hurry up.” Although his hand remained outstretched, she attempted to stand on her own nonetheless. Obviously, that did not work. He could have told her that from the beginning but he found that it was always best to let people try what they wish first. Tell them that they are wrong and they simply lash out. Not that he had much room to talk.
She soon grabbed his hand and her nails dug into his hand, making him wince ever so slightly. Although it did hurt a tad bit, his pain tolerance had grown exponentially over the past few years. “Mhm. Don’t take the help personally, though.”
He did as she said and led them out of the gym. Fortunately for the two of them, the nurse’s office was not that far. Turn the corner and pass through the common’s area and you’re there. “It’s just over here. You’re lucky it’s not that far of a walk.”

He found it somewhat amusing just how long it had taken her to respond. That, and the way she flicked the newly done braid over her shoulder. Such pizzazz. Truly, it would have made for such a glamorous shot. He kept the amusement to himself, a small smirk being the only sign. “Really? Hm… I took you to be someone that whines too much. My bad.” He heard her say something about a staff room, which he could not help but agree with. If there was something along those lines on this campus, they could possibly find some useful information. But clearly not everything loaded on the map just yet. If he had to guess, different areas may unlock as time went on.
“Cutesy flair?” His nose crinkled and he reached up to touch his stick-straight hair. There was tad a bit of fluff to it but it was mostly flat. He was missing an eye. He often had a resting b*tch face. “I don’t think ‘cutesy’ really fits me.” Hopefully, the nickname wouldn’t stick. How would he rival that, anyway? Giving her a ‘cutesy’ nickname would be just that. Cutesy. The likelihood of it bothering her would be low as she would more than likely enjoy the nickname. It’s not like it wouldn’t fit. So he decide to continue with the mispronunciation of her name. “Saera, you can be quite annoying sometimes.” Despite having said this, he open the door first and walked inside anyway. He held the door open long enough to get in but once he had the chance to truly look around, he was, admittedly, quite surprised by the sheer mass of the room. The ceilings were high and so were the shelves.

She brings out a few short strands of hair to frame her face before looking over at Ryo to see him smirking. Arching her brow,”Something funny, Mr. Mura?” She spoke as she caught his eye. She rolled her eyes at his response,”Hmm, I could’ve sworn the same about you.” She knew he probably wouldn’t, but that was the best thing to come to mind quickly. Either way, it was already said. She started to think about other rooms that could be helpful as well. Obviously the kitchen or cafeteria, but if it’s a college, the dormitories would be helpful as well. Her mind kept running through all possibilities before deciding to check the e-handbook for the dorms. She wasn’t used to this, but eventually made her way around it. Trying to look through the map, she struggled a bit. Huffing she didn’t technically want to ask for help, her stubbornness would never allow. She nodded,”Why yes. Gotta have some cuteness.” She teased him before continuing,”Plus you don’t think it would match the hair?” Mumbling,”RyRy…” At the end. She asks looking at his hair. She would’ve taken it a step farther by touching it, but that would’ve been too far even for her boundaries. That’s the second time he used “Saera”. That’s new. “Oh, I know. It add a little flair to the conversation.”She chuckles and held out the word flair as she followed him in. She couldn’t help, but let the surprise flow across her face. “Everyone! I’ve found it!”

Akahana ran down the hall she’d just turned into. At the far end was a large, circular door that looked like a cartoony safe enterance, complete with the giant, wheel-shaped unlocking mechanism. This had to be the exit, it was too tacky not to be. Akahana could see the tiniest sliver of sunlight shining out from under the door, and when she put her ear to the cold metal, she could hear wind whistling through leaves on the other side and smell the faint scent of cherryblossoms.

“I found it! I found the exit!” She called out again, and keeping her ear to the door, she began turning the wheel. She could hear the gears of the lock turning and interlocking inside the door, and after turning the wheel for a bit, she heard a small click as one of the combinations opened. She’d be able to break it, she knew she would. She kept trying and trying as some of the other students gathered around to watch her, muttering the numbers she’d successfully unlocked under her breath to remember them.

“13… 1… 3… 8… 9… 14… 5… 7… 21…” She turned the wheel one more time and her heart lept as she heard the last piece of the lock click open. “14! I’ve gotten it! I’ve gotten it open!”

With all of her strength, she slowly tugged the heavy steel door open. Cold, fresh air and bright sunshine flooded the hallway, and Akahana stood in the open doorway, exhilirated and beaming with pride. She turned towards the rest of the students, throwing her hands in the air victoriously.

“Guys, I did it! We’re all going to get ou-”

Suddenly, a mounted machine gun lowered down from a hidden compartment in the ceiling, and before anyone could even warn her, Akahana was riddled with hundreds of bullets. Ruby pink blood splattered the floor and walls, and smoke filled the air as the sound of the firing gun drowned out every other noise. There was complete chaos for a minute, and then… everything went quiet.

What was left of Akahana lay in a gory pulp on the hallway floor.

Location: Infirmary

“Of course I’ll not take it personally,” she said as she walked with him past the common room, or more like limped. She admired the interior of the common room. How can something be minimalist but cute? She also noticed, what looked like a cafeteria next to the room. “You know, other than the sick joke the school’s playing, it looks pretty decent,” she shrugged and looked at him. “And how’re your hands? Not that I’m concerned or anything, but I did you see you wincing. I’m pretty sure I left a few nail marks.” she said with a straight face, looking over at his hands. Before they knew it, they were already at the entrance of the infirmary. She took a peek inside and it was as she guessed it would be. A typical infirmary which was basically a white-themed room with medical equipment and a few beds. “How boring,” she muttered and went inside. Shiniqua opened the mini-fridge which was beside the beds and took out an ice pack. She walked over to one of the beds and sat down to keep the ice pack on her ankle. She flinched as she slowly pressed it against her ankle. After sitting there for a few minutes, gunshots were heard. It sounded like it came from somewhere near the infirmary. “What was that?”
