And so the first day trapped inside the h*llhole known as Kibōyama Institute for Radically Adept, or KIRA for short, came to an end. To no avail, the Ultimates had searched throughout the building practically the entire day. Every area that was not locked was free game. Yet there was no exit. In fact, they quickly discovered that they were isolated on the mountainside, the way they got up there a mystery.
Drained and tired, everyone eventually went to bed in the dorms.
The next morning went by in a blur. Some continued their hopeless search and others simply ate breakfast. Around noon, though, the monitors flicked on. This time, the image was clear and revealed Monokuma laying back in a chair, a drink in hand. Seriously? Can a stuffed bear even drink?
“Hellooo everbody! I hope you got a good night’s sleep-- I know you’re all confused about Akahana but she kind of broke a rule. Of course I was going to let y’all outside eventually. The dormitory is out there! Yet she just had to go and open the door early in an attempt to escape… Tsk tsk. Anyway… Everyone! I have an announcement to make! Please meet in classroom 1-A for special surprise! The fun is only just now beginning.”
Although reluctant, the students made their way to the classroom, all of them arriving at different times.
On each desk there was a singular tablet with earbuds plugged in, each turned on and with a different name displayed. Underneath, it said “Tap to start!”
Hiroshi Kimura
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, an older man with a stoic expression appears.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Mr. Kimura is here, reporting live! Just kidding. This is an interview with none other than Hiroshi Kimura’s father, though. Let’s see what he has to say about his dear song.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, there is a short period of awkward silence, as if his father was unsure of how to begin. You would think that, when editing, they would cut this part out. After a moment, he finally begins to speak, his words clipped and his expression remaining the same throughout the entire spiel. He expressed a tad bit of pride although he overall seemed rather reluctant. The video was quickly cut short, though. One static-filled transition later and half of the screen was covered in a pink liquid which, in turn, blurred the picture. Through the pink fog, although one would not be able to tell for sure, it seemed as though there was a body that had collapsed and gone limp. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “What. A. Mess! Gosh, I thought I told crew to keep it all tidy-- I really wanted to know what happened. Such a bummer.”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Ivy Keelan
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a few dogs and a cat appear on the screen; somehow, they managed to stay relatively still for the recording.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Oh, miss Keelan. Here we have your pups and cat. Seemed to be a good motivator, huh? Who doesn’t love a cute video of their beloved pets?”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the animals can all be heard now. It was a bit chaotic, the animals practically forming a choir. The sound of a familiar voice could be heard straining to talk over them-- was it a manager? It was difficult to tell for sure given the fact that the voice came from behind the camera. They spoke about how there was nothing to worry about; all of her pets would be fine and taken care of. It would have been a precious and uplifting video if it had not been cut off at such an awkward time. One static-filled transition later and loud whimpering can be heard. A large cage sits far in the background and the ground is covered in various markings. Someone yells inaudibly and the animals quiet down. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Oh no! Not the dogs! The cat?! How messed up can these people be? Oh wait… Pupupu, nevermind! I wonder what’ll happen to them…”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Jesse White
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, an older, somewhat sickly man appears.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “This is the father of Jesse White. The old geezer has always been proud of his daughter despite having the potential to be a k*lling machine! Why not hear it from him, though?”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the father’s voice is heard. What would have been a heartfelt and overall wonderful message was soon cut off, though. One static-filled transition later and he is lying in a hospital bed with different tubes stuck in arms. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Uh oh! What’s this? The geezer is in a hospital bed-- he doesn’t look so hot! But… what happened to him?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Hayato Seichi
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a group of younger people come onto the screen, their ages varying.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “This group of young’ns huddled together are Hayato Seichi’s students! What a kind group they are, accepting Hayato despite his seriously messed up personality! But what do they have to say about him?”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, one of the students can be heard. The small group, all huddled together on a cozy couch smiled, laughed, and uplifted Hayato. This would have been a sweet message had it not been cut off so soon. One static-filled transition later and the students were gone, their previous environment torn to shreds. Someone’s fingertips could be seen poking into the corner of the frame as if they were laying on the ground. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Uh oh! What’s this? That doesn’t look too good! I wonder what happened to those bright, young students?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Sorano Namikaze
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a middle-aged woman with a kind face appears.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Ah, so this is the adoptive mother of Sorano Namikaze, Rena! What a sweet woman to have adopted Sorano at the ripe age of ten. Let’s see what she has to say to her daughter!”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the woman’s voice can finally be heard. With a warm gaze, Rena expresses her love and pride about Sorano and her acceptance to KIRA. The would have an encouraging message if it had not been for picture beginning to fade. One static-filled transition later and her mother was gone, the window that allowed bright sunlight to pour in behind her broken; shattered glass covered the table she had been sitting at. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “That can’t be good! I bet it’d cost a lot to fix that window. But more importantly, what happened to miss Rena?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Hitori Aino
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a man and woman appear on the screen, the woman appearing somewhat worried.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Here, we have the genius parents of Hitori Aino! Momma had quite a lot to say so… let’s go ahead and hear what they have to say, hm?”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, Sakura’s voice can finally be heard. She is clearly worried as to how her son must be holding up in such a large and well-known school. After Hitori’s father calms her down a bit, though, the two shift gears and try their best to be encouraging despite numerous questions that are left to linger in the air. They begin to end the interview by mentioning his brother, Rei, and what he is doing at the time of the recording. It would have been a nice message if it had not been cut off so soon. One static-filled transition later and they were gone, the once-neat background a mess. Torn papers and various tools that Hitori’s father must have used covered the floor. Everything from notes to sketches. On some, a bright pink liquid reflected the now dull lighting at it was clearly fresh. It felt as though someone had intruded by force and the encounter had been rather hectic. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Yikes, that sure is pigsty, huh? I know Mrs. Aino was worried but there’s no way she had a mental break down or anything like that, right? That would be delightfully ironic. Oh, but… I wonder where they went?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Katsumi Kojima
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a man and woman appear lounging outdoors.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “This must be Katsumi Kojima’s father and mother. Oh, my bad, step-mother. I wonder what they have to say to her considering their somewhat empty relationship.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the father’s voice can finally be heard. Although he says he is proud of her getting into KIRA and tries to be somewhat encouraging, he remains a bit stiff. The woman has a hand rubbing his back as if she were trying to relax him. Before she could even provide her own feedback, the recording cuts off. One static-filled transition later and the father is missing from the frame while the woman is lying on the ground. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Oh me, oh my! Where is Mr. Kojima when you need him? I wonder is his daughter even cares…?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Shui Li Wei
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a woman in chic clothing appears on the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “So this must be the woman who go Mr. Shui Li Wei started in fashion designing, eh? Oh, wait. His grandmother was the one who taught him to sew… Well, either way I’m technically right! Let’s see what the fashionable lady has to say.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the woman’s voice can now finally be heard. As his paternal aunt speaks, she admits that she is proud of him and somewhat admires his talent. After all, neither of them would have suspected that he would have such a knack for it. The overall message was kind enough and encouraging but it ended all too soon. One static-filled transition later and what appeared to be a body could be seen dangling in the background, wrapped up in a multitude of fabrics. It was unclear yet still unsettling. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Guess we had to cut the little interview short-- she got a bit tangled up with something else. Maybe we can pull her aside later but… well, I wonder if we’ll be able too; what happened to her?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation.
Shiniqua Chinna
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a man appears alone with a gallery of paintings surrounding him.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “World-famous painter, Mr. Chinna, everybody! Despite this grand title, he also doubles as Shiniqua Chinna’s father. Let’s hear what he has to say about her.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the father’s voice can finally be heard. He starts off my explaining that her mother could not make it to the recording but that he is more than willing to do this anyway. He expresses his pride, especially considering that she got in for art. Yet this encouraging message is cut short when the video stops. One static-filled transition later and the father is missing. The once-colorful canvases are covered with some sort of pink liquid. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Seems like Mrs. Chinna lucked out by being busy with work, huh? I can’t help but wonder about what must’ve happened to Mr. Chinna though…”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Kousuke Okada
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, two little girls appear on the screen in a colorful classroom.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Here we have Kousuke Okada’s two younger sisters! Twins and absolutely precious! What do they think about their older brother, though?”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the voice of one of the twins can finally be heard. The two talk over each other at times but the general consensus is that they miss their big brother and think he’s cool. What was a cute and wholesome recording was soon cut off. One static-filled transition later and only one of the twins is out of the frame while the other is sitting in the same spot while yelling and crying. The lighting is darker, indicating that a significant amount of time has passed. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Poor little baby! What happened to her sister? Why is she crying?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Etsuko Watakashi
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a man and a woman appear on the screen with large pots of melted candy in the background.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “So this is magical girl Etsuko Watakashi’s parents! I see where she gets her… playful personality from. Let’s see what they have to say considering their divisive opinions!”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the mother’s voice can be heard. She goes on a long spiel as to why she is proud of Etsuko, only for the father to cut in and add his piece towards the end. What would have been a somewhat encouraging message was soon cut short, though. One static-filled transition later and both of the parents were missing from the frame… but was that a foot sticking out of one of the pots? And the melted candy seem to have a pinker tint to it. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “What a sweet surprise! Lemme tell ya, that candy was pretty good. But wait, where did Etsuko’s parents go?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Dijon Yuzuki
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a man and woman of different nationalities appear on the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Here we have the mother and father of Dijon Yuzuki! I wonder how they feel about their son getting into KIRA?”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the man began to speak with a small smile on his face. The two had prepared a new dish each and had it proudly displayed on the table in front of them. After discussing that, they went on to encourage Dijon. It would have been a sweet and somewhat informative message if it had not been cut off so soon. One static-filled transition later and both of the parents were missing from the frame. The different ingredients making up the food had been thrown and smeared around the food in disarray, the glass plates they had been on broken. On the shards of glass, a pink liquid shines only barely noticeable to the naked eye. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “D’aww, what a mess! And here I was, hoping to try some of that savory deliciousness. To clarify, the parents-- not the food. Anyway, where could Dijon’s parents have possibly gone?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Xiulan Jin
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, an older woman standing on a large stage appears on the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Ooo, here we have the grandmother of Xiulan Jin, a famous Peking actress. You could argue that she is better than Xiulan herself but let’s see what the woman has to say about her granddaughter.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the voice of the woman can now be heard. An elegant layer of makeup coats her face and one may almost be fulled as to her genuine age. Her words are loving as she speaks highly about Xiulan. It would have been encouraging had it not been cut off so soon. One static-filled transition later and the woman was laying on the ground, her back towards the camera. A high-pitched scream can be heard in the distance. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Oh no, Mrs. Jin! Crap… I was such a big fan! But… that could always be her understudy, right? We can’t see her face after all…”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Crystal Mitzuki
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a somewhat exhausted-appearing man comes onto the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “This must be Mr. Mitzuki, which would make him none other than Crystal Mitzuki’s father! Let’s hear about what he thinks of Crystal real quick.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the voice of the man can now be heard. He is fairly average in comparison to a lot of the ultimate’s family member except he seems a bit more tired. Despite this, he is fairly positive with his words in an attempt to be encouraging to Crystal. It was sweet but had cut off too soon for comfort. One static-filled transition later and the man was slumped down on his desk, his palm upwards to reveal a delicate slice. The pink liquid poured from his hand slowly but was already making it’s way off the desk by that point. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Ah, I see that Mr. Mitzuki must’ve gotten a paper cut, eh? Wait, no… that can’t be it. Paper cuts don’t make you pass out, do they? Hm… I wonder what happened…”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Christina Blue Jensin
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, one of the few trios appears on the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Christina Blue Jensin! This is your family, correct? How cute and picture-perfect. Let’s hear what they have to say regarding your acceptance.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the voice of the little boy can be heard. Although he expressed that the new-found freedom was nice, he missed her deeply. The parents agreed with him as to how they missed Christina. Yet it was all cut off too soon for comfort. One static-filled transition later and the house was literally torn apart, as if an earthquake had happened. With camera tilted to the side, a hand can be seen sticking out just under some rubble. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Uh oh! Must be earthquake season, huh? I wonder who that is under the rubble… And what happened to the other two family members?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Hinata Saito
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a large family of seven appears on the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voices narrates, “Geez! What a big family. These must be siblings and parents of Hinata Saito, I assume? I don’t think anyone else has such a huge family.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the voices of several of the youngest siblings can be heard as they talk over one another. To say that the scene was a tad bit chaotic was an understatement. The parents eventually spoke up, though, talking over the children to give their take on Hinata. Of course, it was a hectic yet sweet scene but it was cut off all too soon. One static-filled transition later and the parents were missing along with the oldest sibling. The younger four were all either crying of screaming and huddled together as a more prominent scream can be heard in the background of the recording. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Ugh! Turn the audio off or something, gosh! My ear drums are gonna burst! I do wonder what happened to those three, though… Probably wouldn’t hurt to cut down on the family a bit, though.”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Sara Tanako
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a man and woman appear on the screen, exhaustion apparent on both of their faces.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Oh, so I see that here, we have the parents of Sara Tanako! I’m curious as to what they have to say about Miss Sara. After all, she was a big source of the family income.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the voice of Sara’s mother can be heard. The two insist that they’re proud of her for enrolling into KIRA after clearing up that her siblings were with another family member for the night. It was sweet and heartfelt but ended all too soon for comfort. One static-filled transition later and the couple is missing from the frame as the door behind them opens. Due to the change in lighting, a little less than a day must have passed. A woman walks in with the two youngest siblings of five, only to freeze in place and begin yelling. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Oh my, didn’t expect anyone to show up before we could get everything cleaned up… Whoops. Oh well. What could have happened to Sara’s parents to result in so much yelling, though?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Amari Abe
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a man and three brothers appear on the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Ah, the Abe family. I’m gonna assume that this isn’t a coincidence or mix-up but that this must be the same Abe family belonging to Amari Abe! Lot’s of A’s. Let’s just get on with it.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the voice of the father can be heard. He apologizes for the lacking presence: her mother. Yet he goes on to insist that they are both proud of her and the oldest brother does the same. The two youngest merely nod in agreement and support. Although a bit more mellow, it was nonetheless sweet. Yet the message was cut off rather suddenly, ruining the mood. One static-filled transition later and the two youngest brothers are passed out on the couch, their mother running over towards them with teary eyes. The father and older brother are nowhere to be seen. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Well that was… sweet? I guess? What I really want to know is where are Mr. Abe and the older boy at?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Carwyn and Bennet Yamada
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a girl around the same age as the brothers appears on the screen, stretching in front of a mirror that reflects the empty gym.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “So this is the gal that makes up the infamous triplets! The last piece of the puzzle, eh? Speaking of which, I felt that it was fitting to just… do a two-for-one deal with this motive video-- pretty smart, right? Anyway, I feel like we should hear what she has to say to Carwyn and Bennet Yamada about being left behind.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, Freya is now paying attention and looking at the camera as she starts to speak. Although there clearly is some pain there about being the one left behind, she insists that she is happy about the duo making it into KIRA. If anything, it would help them all take off towards an easier and more certain future. Although she was sweet and encouraging, the message was cut short. One static-filled transition later and, although she was no longer standing in front of the camera, her body could be seen in the reflection. She was slumped over a piece of equipment used when training for acrobatics. Her body was limp and a dark figure was approaching her, presumably to take her away. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Uh oh! Did she hurt herself when training or something? Geez. I can see what Bennet is the Ultimaet Acrobat and not her… I wonder what exactly happened, though.”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Sakura Nishimura
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, a young man that clearly must be around the typical ‘college age’ appears on the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “What. A. Hunk, am I right? Whew. There’s no other explanation needed-- this must be Sakura Nishimura’s brother, Matt. Let’s hear what he has to say about his little sister, shall we?”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, Matt is looking up from a textbook with a friendly smile. Naturally, he speaks highly of Sakura. There is a sense of pride behind his words as he congratulates her on making it into KIRA, wishing her the best of luck with her studies there. The sweet moment is cut short, though. One static-filled transition later and the text book is covered with a familiar pink liquid. The only trace that one may assume belonged to the older brother was the broken window behind where he had been sitting. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Yikes! That’s gonna cost a fortune to fix, Matty-boy! I wonder where he went, though? He couldn’t have made it too far after escaping through the window…”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Hyosuke Matsuura
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, an older woman in a large bee-keeper suit standing outside appears on the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Ah, Mrs. Matsuura, correct? The sweet and talented mother of Hyosuke Matsuura. Let’s check in with her real quick!”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the woman is looking at the camera with a kind smile as she begins to speak. Her eyes are somewhat sad and distant but overall, she declares that she is proud of her son for making into KIRA by being the Ultimate B-- and the message is cut off far too soon. She had barely begun talking before it was over. One static-filled transition later and the hat from her suit is hanging on a post in the background. A swarm of bees takes over the majority of the screen, making it near impossible to see much else. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Uh oh! It seems like Mrs. Matsuura has pollen over, right? I just can’t bee-lieve it! … Joking aside, I wonder what really happened to her.”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
[details=“Hatsumomo “Momo” Ige”]
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, an elderly woman appears on the screen with various pottery surrounding her.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “So this must be Hatsumomo Ige’s biological grandmother-- the woman she first started learning her Ultimate talent fromt! I’m curious to see what she has to say about her acceptance to KIRA.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the older woman’s voice can be heard. Although she is looking down the piece of pottery she is working on, she manages to speak kindly about Momo. Her words are somewhat encouraging although she seems more prideful in regards to the fact that Momo is getting into the school with something the two had bonded over. Yet it ended all too soon. One static-filled transition later and the woman was passed out. The piece of pottery she had been working on is in shards, slicing her delicate yet calloused hands. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Oh no, I don’t know a pot of pottery-related jokes! I’m not prepared for this one! Let’s just cut to the chase: I wonder what happened to the old woman, hm?”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!

Namihei Onisha
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, two eldery woman, a teenager, and younger kid appear on the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “So these are last few surviving family members of Namihei Onisha, eh? At least, that we know of? We would’ve brought your parents on instead but… yikes. Let’s just hear what they have to say.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, his biological grandmother can now be heard. While the youngest sibling huffs and puffs, upset because he misses Nami, the teen respectfully remains quiet until it’s her turn to talk. In short, everyone misses him greatly and is excited for the holidays when he will be able to return home for a short while. The heart-warming moment is cut off, though, all too soon. One static-filled transition later and the the two elderly women and teenager are off screen, crying and yelling while youngest remains passed out. A pink liquid trickles from the top of his head which is, mostly likely, the source of concern. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Uh oh! Seems like the list of few surviving family members may be getting even shorter! I wonder what is happening, though? Too little info to discern, sadly!”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Ryo Himura
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. As the recording focuses, an unfamiliar face appears on the screen, illuminated by various computer screens.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “Ryo Himura… Tsk, tsk. It was pretty difficult finding someone for you, y’know that?! After surfing the interweb, though, I finally tracked down your online friend: Sunkissedbelly_1024! Let’s hear what they have to say.”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the person begins speaking. There was clear confusion spread across their face but they said that they were happy for '“trashyeyepatch1” for making it into such a prestigious academy. Overall though, the message was a tad bit awkward as the poor dude stuttered over his words. Somewhat fortunately for him, the message did not last long. One static-filled transition later and all that was left of the dude were his glasses that reflected his computer’s screen. On the screen was an opened doc with a frowny face and the words, ‘pls hep’. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Hm… 1024… Did you know that that’s just two to the tenth power? Ah, anyway! I wonder what happened to Sunkissedbelly_1024…”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Himari Ichikawa
After tapping the screen, a video begins to play. as the recording focuses, an elderly man with tubes stuck into his nose, a woman, and a teenager all appear on the screen.
Then, a familiar high-pitched voice narrates, “So this is Himari Ichikawa’s chosen family, right? We almost brought her father here for his opinion but… something tells me that that wouldn’t serve as a good motive, huh? Well, let’s hear what they have to say!”
The narrator stops talking and, instead, the woman’s voice can now be heard. Himari’s aunt gently explains that, in the short span Himari was gone, her grandfather began needing assistance due to his failing health. She then goes onto encouraging her, along with her cousin and grandfather. The three say they love her before it suddenly ends. The somewhat bittersweet message was cut off all too soon. One static-filled transition later and Himari’s cousin is crying at the foot of a hospital bed. There, his mother/Himari’s aunt is laying with various tubes stuck inside of her. Against the wall, the grandfather sits bruised and passed out. Once again, the voice, safely assumed to be Monokuma, begins to narrate once more. “Uh oh! It looks like Himari won’t have much of a choice but to live with her father when she gets home-- her cousin may even have to join her… I wonder what happened to the aunt and grandfather though? Maybe it was just his time…”
As the screen fades to black, large text in a bubbly font reads: Find out at graduation!
Through the speakers once again, Monokuma said, “I realized why no one had start plotting a murder yet and that is because I haven’t given you all a proper motive! I hope this gets your brain juices flowing!”
Alright! So there are the motive videos for each character except for Akahana because she’s dead! You don’t have to read every character’s motive video but they are there just in case you’re curious! I also hope that you don’t mind if I described the way they’d speak about their respective person differently then you’d imagine-- I tried to be a bit vague with it. I ask that you at least read your’s, please, and decide whether or not you want to apply for one of your characters to make a murder attempt. Remember, it can be an accident but you still need to fill out the form so we know that you want it to happen! The story won’t progress until we start planning the mystery! At most, we may change days after it’s been awhile.
Feel free to clone characters to either continue or wrap up a conversation! Since things have slowed down and it’s been four days since the surprise event, I figured it was time to move on. I will add the last four characters once they are submitted so please submit them soon!
