With an unusual frown, Himari’s feet somewhat dragged as she took large, long steps. She swayed from side to side each time her foot hit the ground, as if she were going to fall or lose her balance. With a heavy sigh, her eyes shifted to the floor. Yet her somewhat depressed and fearful mood quickly shattered as she felt someone poke at her shoulders. Yelping, she jumped forward with wide eyes. “Nngh! What the–” she spun around to see a familiar face. Unexpected and a tad bit frightening but familiar. So in that sense, it was a bit of a relief and comfort.
Her eyes traveled down to her extended hand where she held out a handkerchief. Himari’s expression softened as she accepted it, quickly reaching up to clean her face. She had not even realized that she had cried. In fact, her face was a bit of a mess that needed cleaning. “Ah, but that’s my only strong point, Xiu…lan!” Once again, she had to stop herself from simply calling her ‘Xiu’. Despite the quick and semi-awkward add-on at the end, she smiled brightly and reverted back to her normal self once she was finished. Well, as close to her ‘normal self’ as she could get.
For a moment, she looked down at Xiulan’s handkerchief and was beginning to extend her hand to return it. Her gaze went straight back to her face, though, when she mentioned taking it to the laundry. “Oh, yeah! That’s only polite, I guess,” she reached up to hold the back of her neck with the opposite hand. “Hey but… are you alright? That was some pretty heavy stuff!”

Oh. Whoops.
Although her tone matched what he had come to know so well by this point-- snarky, sarcastic, fiery, etc, etc --he could not help but notice how she seemed to refrain from looking at him. He knew all too well that that could mean only one thing: she must be on the verge of crying.
With his teeth bared awkwardly and brows furrowed, he slowly looked around for assistance. He was not exactly… the most comforting presence one could have. Realizing he was on his own this time and feeling too bad to leave, he reached over and placed a tense hand on her shoulder. All he could think was, ‘Oh, f**k it,’ as he began to awkwardly pat her shoulder in an attempt to be reassuring. “There, there, little one…” He felt like a creep.
“Okay, this isn’t really my thing but… are you alright? Or, well… rather, are you going to be alright? I’m sure you must not feel great right now…” His nose crinkled, the discomfort shining in his expression. He struggled to find words-- he was much better at being an obnoxious and self-centered **shole. After all, he had been perfecting that role for several years now. Ryo removed his hand and, once it was no longer in contact with her, he was a bit too quick to withdraw his hand to his side. Deciding that it may be best to stick around for a moment, he sat down across from her.

As she wiped her face off the mess that is her sad face, Xiulan took a peek at her to make sure that she used it and not just be defensive on being sad and all. But despite the fact that she was all sad and sappy, she regained that bright-eyed smile that she saw during the first day, Xiulan rolled her eyes in disbelief. Still a positive woman after that?, she thought to herself. Even the way she forgets my commands in my name is deemed incompetent! Xiulan thought roams on that thought until Himari asked her, “Hey but… are you alright? That was some pretty heavy stuff!”

She took a long breath as she turned around, “My grandmother is tougher than what that bear could do. I’m positive that was just some rando of a body just trying to scare me. And if it was her, so be it. Both of our fates were sealed since the moment I woke up in this fleabag we call a school. This is worse than what the Cold Palace offered.” As she continued to walk into the hallway, she stopped and looked behind at Himari ever-so slightly, “Are you not coming? We are going to the laundry since you ruined my favorite handkerchief.”

“I don’t think I’ve met anyone in this place, well not someone really energetic.” though it sounded like he was insulting her, he meant it as a compliment. She introduced herself as the Ultimate Candymaker, and took out some candies from her pocket. “Well, that’s… convenient?” he shrugged and allowed her to finish. Apparently, she was experimenting with the sweets and came out with a diet candy, which was sweet and dietable. He took the diet candy that she had offered and popped it into his mouth. He felt different flavours crashing in his mouth. It wasn’t too sweet, or too sour; it was perfect! Li Wei was surprised by the fact that candy can be this good. He wasn’t really fond of sweets or chocolates, but this was something else! “This is amazing! I’d trade a million dollar dress for another one of this.” he wasn’t even kidding.

Li Wei noticed her looking at him from top to bottom. It seemed that she had found him quite fashionable. “Well, it is called chic, but thank you!” he flashed her a bright smile. “I’m Li Wei, by the way, Ultimate Fashion Designer.”

Ryo was trying to make her feel a bit better, but it just wasn’t working. They both were in a really awkward situation. She found it a bit annoying but didn’t to be rude to him right now, so she gently brushed his hand away from her shoulder. She tried keeping her cool and not doing anything she’ll regret later. But when he asked her if she was fine when he could see she obviously wasn’t, she totally lost. “DO YOU THINK I’M ALRIGHT?!” she grabbed the tablet given by Monokuma and threw it on the ground out of agony. It shattered into very small and sharp glass pieces. She had totally destroyed that. It took a moment for her to realise what she had done. “Oh no,” she whispered to herself and covered her face with her hands out of embarrassment. It was obvious that she had made a scene. Surprisingly, Ryo sat across her. “I-I’m sorry, I-I… I dunno what’s-s goin-g on w-with me!” she stuttered and looked away from him.

The girl had asked if Kousuke was the Ultimate Cook. “Unfortunately, no, it’s just heated pizza and I’m… the Ultimate Psychiatrist.” he didn’t really like interacting with people, so he tried keeping their conversation short. He heard her stomach grumble. She was probably hungry, “You know, I saw some ready-to-eat meals in the refrigerator. You can probably heat it and eat.” he suggested and sat on one of the chairs and looked at his pizza. He took a big bite of the slice and sighed. It was not hot enough, but he didn’t care. At least he had something to eat at this horrible place.

Hyosuke chuckled. “Some first day, huh?” He asked playfully, giving the boy a nudge. “Sorry we couldn’t make a better impression on you, Man Cook. I swear things were better last year.” He promised.

“Made something, huh?” Hyosuke took a taste of what Dijon had made so far. “Mmm! Not bad. You know, I’m a bit of an amateur chef myself. I could help you out with some of this stuff, if you want?” He offered.

As Hyosuke patted him to at least calm down, Dijon curled himself up a bit as he nervously laughed, no one he met or talked to became a little too close to him; it felt as though comforting but it worried him a little as memories flowed through his mind. He looked upon Hyosuke as he thought about what he said, “Sorry we couldn’t make a better impression on you, Man Cook. I swear things were better last year.”

“W-well… Bad timing for me, I g-guess… Also… it’s Dijon… I-is that my nickname or something?” He continued on to make himself a bit small, passibly fearing that what he said may offend him. Alas, Dijon took a step back and waited for his respond as he tasted the food. Of course, in no surprise, it was good but Dijon thought otherwise with a compliment of “not bad”. He didn’t know if that “not bad” comment meant as he heard those wordings through multiple contest, and it meant something was bad, he didn’t bother to think of it much; but something inside of him wanted to be better than the last comment that people may have for his food.

To his surprise though, he told Dijon that he also knew how to cook and asked if he could cook too. He was about to decline the offer, but the loud sound of his stomach said otherwise. His face grew a bit red as he heard it and looked at him in embarrassment, “W-well, since I forgot to eat… Sure, I was about to make more onigiri and probably make some tonkatsu and tamagoyaki… so sure…” He grabbed some meals for himself and ate in the kitchen island.

As she looked at the man with such enticing excitement, she waited eagerly for his comment as he ate her experimental candy. She then inspected his reaction, and it was rather positive. He then exclaimed to such of her excitement, “This is amazing! I’d trade a million dollar dress for another one of this.”

“No need for a million dollar dress so I can go on making this, I always prioritize my candy lovers the best of free and delish candies~~ Nyaa, imagine if you really traded, I could have made millions and millions of candy!” She raised her arms wide as her eyes sparkled like stars. She gave a cute little giggle as she looked to him, “You know, if you want my experimental candy, I have my recipe journal somewhere in my room! Then I give you a snuggleton of candies to enjoy! Would you like that?”

Of course, another word she learned as she complimented the man and his fashion sense, she smiled and nod in realization, having her mouth shaped similar to the letter “o”, “Ohhhh, chic! I guess you always learn new and big words eeeveryday~” and after that, he introduces himself. She gave her best grin as she came to an utter realization, “So that’s why you look so… chic! It’s super duper great to meet you Mister Li Wei!” Etsuko looked around the room as she wanted to ask, “So… what brings you in the library Mister Li Wei?”

“Oh, I probably would have guessed that if it wasn’t for the food distracting me.” Crystal stared at the pizza he had with him. “I’m the ultimate psychic.” She stated with a slight smile. She still wanted to make an effort to appear friendly. He pointed out the fact that there were other meals in the refrigerator.
He probably heard my stomach growl or saw me staring at his food. She thought. She was kind of embarrassed about that. “Cool…I mean Thanks.”
Crystal decided to lay her head down on the table again and turn on her music. While she did that, she started to realize that maybe it would be too awkward, especially since he was sitting close to her. She sat up and turned her music off. “Erm, how is it, being an ultimate Psychiatrist? Does it get overwhelming when people come to you for help?” She asked curiously.

Hallway || With Xiulan

Admittedly, she was not too shocked by Xiulan’s response. At least, not by her demeanor or tone. What did surprise her was the somewhat positive and hopeful backing to her words when she first started speaking. Of course, she quickly reverted back to a more realistic and accepting outlook which quickly turned sour as she compared the school to the ‘Cold Palace’, whatever that was. Himari’s brow rose but she did not comment on it, simply standing there in thought.
She had not even noticed that Xiulan had continued down the hallway until she stopped and looked over her shoulder at her. “Ah, right now?! My bad,” she replied sheepishly before her feet began to move. She quickly caught to Xiulan after jogging. “I didn’t think that you’d wanna go do laundry with me-- I kinda just assumed that I’d be giving it back later… but that’s cool! All good! I love doing laundry.” Feeling a tad bit caught off guard, she rambled on. The last thing she would have expected from her was that they would hang out for awhile… if you can call that hanging out. Himari had basically accepted that Xiulan was not her biggest fan. Granted, she planned to change her mind-- the two would become friends, she was certain of that.
She smiled up at her, rubbing the back of her neck. “Any~way,” she began, the word drawn out with a sing-song voice, “do you know how to do this sort of thing-- laundry? You seem so… fancy! I wouldn’t expect you to know how!”

His eye widened once Shiniqua sort of… exploded. He had not expected her to react that way-- he could see her being annoyed by his presence but full-on yelling? Not only yelling but she also broke the tablet that Monokuma had provided. In a way, though, Ryo could somewhat sympathize with her. Watching her meltdown reminded him of a younger version of himself before he had heard his title. So when he sat down, he had a softer expression than normal. An expression he had not made in a long time due to his usual coldness. Considering the situation, though, he figured it wouldn’t hurt. At this point… even if he did associate with someone at this school, they were all in danger anyway. Perhaps it was time to break the habit of pushing others away.
This time, he refrained from touching her since that had proven to be a bad move. At the very least, it had proven to be awkward. He watched her with a steady gaze as she looked away, practically spluttering. “Hey… it’s alright. It’s just a tablet. It’s completely understandable that you’re a bit out of control right now and…” Although he did not want to admit that he had been wrong in the way he went about trying to comfort her, he sighed and did just that. “I’m sorry for provoking you. Just take a moment to calm down and breathe.” His words remained clipped due to habit but they were softer this time and his voice was lower. All he really knew to do was to wait and make sure that she calmed down without harming herself or another person.

Li Wei was impressed by her excitement. He could’ve been exhausted if he was this enthusiastic. “Well, I can always design something for you if you want. Consider it as a…” he waited to find the right word before completing his sentence, “…favour!” He didn’t want to sound like he owed something because he didn’t. She had offered to lend him her recipe journal. “Nah, it’s fine. You wouldn’t want anyone to know your secret recipe, would you?” he asked, inching closer. He was amused by seeing her be happy about learning the word chic and meeting him. Li Wei had met many people, but no one was as bright and sunny like her. Etsuko also called him mister which was weird for him. No one had ever called him that, and it felt like he was a 30-year-old man, when he was a teenager. “Um… let’s just stick to our names, no titles and such.” he tried go not sound rude. “I was just exploring this place, I guess. What about you?”

Kousuke ignored her and savoured his pizza. It was just as cheesy and delicious as he expected it to be. He turned towards her when she introduced herself. “Mhmm, nice to meet you,” he said with a stern face and turned back to his pizza. She looked… awkward, but he didn’t care. After he finished eating, he got up, when the girl spoke, “Erm, how is it, being an ultimate Psychiatrist? Does it get overwhelming when people come to you for help?” He turned around to answer, “I don’t know; I’ve never been not overwhelmed by something. But, that’s part of the job, I guess…” He went to the kitchen to clean the plate and keep it back. He was going to turn the tap on but then decided not to. He was too tired to do anything. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the coffee machine which was nearby. “Nah, it’ll just worsen it,” he said to himself. Kousuke started thinking about what he should do now. He couldn’t just go back to sleep, or eat anything else; he was full. Kousuke looked at the girl in the cafeteria and sighed. “I mean, I don’t have anything to do,” he mumbled to himself quietly. “Uh, hey,” he called her. “Do you… want me to make something for you? If you’re hungry,”

Shiniqua was caught off-guard when he tried sympathizing with her. It wasn’t impossible, but it felt… weird. The cold survivor sympathizing with a bossy artist; seemed untrue. She was more surprised when he apologised. “I can’t believe you apologised,” she laughed and wiped a tear. Making jokes would probably lighten up the mood. “I appreciate you apologising, and don’t want to ‘ruin the moment’, but I’m really not into sappy stuff,” she whispered to him. “And talking about ‘tablet’, where is it? And I’m talking about my drawing tablet, n-not the other one.” she looked around and it was on the table where she was sitting before. She walked there and picked her tablet up. She looked at her drawing and it looked awfully similar to someone. Shiniqua looked up at Ryo and it was as she guessed. She had drawn him! Well, not exactly; but they had similar features: dark hair, a light skin tone, and bright green eyes.

With such enthusiasm about this talent he has, she would have never expected him to actually plan on giving a favor, she jumped happily as she had someone to do that, she twirled around as she looked down on her dress, “Yipee!! You really are willing to make one? Well… I do like whats going around the streets of Harajuku… like Lolita styles, Decora Kei, Fairy Kei, and just all the cute dresses~~ I mean I made this dress myself… 3 times! I wanted a dress made out of candy, but the first time I tried it… well… Ants were allll over the kitchen!” Etsuko gave a small giggle as she thought about it, “Dad was a bit mad though, but what am I supposed to know? I wanna wear candy!!”

Of course, for a while, she learned a bit about him… such as he’s not so comfortable with her calling him mister. And other than that, eagerly explaining about her journal, “Oh I don’t mean lending it to you. I just wanna tell you that some of my experimental candy is in that journal… And you might want some so… Practical~~~” As she walked a bit around the library, she replied back to what he had said as she walked a bit, “Oh~ Li Wei it is then! But I am here for more books. Look at this!” She then turned and held the book cover in front of him; to her taste, it seems a bit grim with the colors and its context and cover design… somewhat gothic than her usual likes. “I just wanna see if there’s colorful and adowable books! But I don’t mind novels! Oooooh, maybe even some candy making books here~~”

As the both of them walked into the hallway, Himari catches up to her a bit as Xiulan walked a bit fast than her usual slow walks. She looks behind as she asked questions, listening to all her rambles as it echoed the room, ”I didn’t think that you’d wanna go do laundry with me-- I kinda just assumed that I’d be giving it back later… but that’s cool! All good! I love doing laundry.”

“I wanted for the both of us to go to the laundry to see how well you can wash that handkerchief. I like mine pristine in condition, you may ruin it if you brush too hard with those harsh hands or possibly even bleach it and ruin the delicate embroidery I made. Also by my context, make it hand washed, since you are not cleaning my wardrobe.” Within those moments, she did notice that her words sounds like it wasn’t cool… But of course, Xiulan did not cease to care; it is fun to see her future servant doing all the hard work.

As they were almost near to the laundry, she once heard something that was worth to spend energy on speaking, as she listened to her rambles once more, * “Do you know how to do this sort of thing-- laundry? You seem so… fancy! I wouldn’t expect you to know how!”*

“Do you take me as spoiled? Of course I know laundry. My grandmother would kill me if I don’t set up the plates! Besides, some consorts and empresses doesn’t start in splendor at first, they may start as maids and rise up as their beauty and wit take the evil consorts and maids. “Hmm.” She said while over thinking his answer. “I just can’t imagine doing that with all of my visions and stuff. It would definitely be overwhelming for me…” She shrugged and tapped through her phone again. Kousuke swiftly got up to go back to the kitchen and Crystal was pondering on If she wanted to eat or listen to music more. Suddenly he asked her a question.

“Uh, hey, Do you… want me to make something for you? If you’re hungry,”

“Yeah…sure. Whatever kind of food is fine.” She said while trying to put on the biggest smile she could. “I’m Crystal Mitzuki by the way.” It was kind of awkward for her to introduce herself this far into the conversation, but it would also be weird for her if he didn’t know her name.

This place was absolutely terrible. All Ivy could tell was that she was stuck here with no way of getting out. Somehow, all the information about this place was hidden. How can they do this to me? People will notice that I’m missing. She prepared herself for the day, getting dressed and fixing her hair. She stared into the mirror, realizing that she probably wouldn’t have makeup in here. That was just another terrible thing about this place. Someone had already died here. Am I going to die here? I can’t let that happen, someone like me shouldn’t die so young. She played with her hair and smiled at herself. Smiling would at least help her feel happier. Trying not to look too tired, she walked out of the door to her room and walked into the kitchen. Thankfully, she found some coffee there and made herself a large cup. She’d need her energy to look around.

Although she hadn’t found any clues yet, she doubted that anyone would be able to carry out something this complicated without any flaws. She checked out the rooms she could access but still failed to find any information. Maybe there would be more clues in the areas that were locked up. While some of the rooms were interesting, the whole place just disturbed her.

The weird bear showed up again on the monitors that were positioned everywhere around the school. “Hellooo everbody! I hope you got a good night’s sleep-- I know you’re all confused about Akahana but she kind of broke a rule. Of course I was going to let y’all outside eventually. The dormitory is out there! Yet she just had to go and open the door early in an attempt to escape…" At the very least, Ivy couldn’t assume that the person who organized this was lazy. They pulled this impressive feat off ridiculously well. Ivy was almost jealous… except that this place was designed for them to murder each other. She’d have to work with other people to get out of here, most certainly, which she already wasn’t looking forward to. "Tsk tsk. Anyway… Everyone! I have an announcement to make! Please meet in classroom 1-A for special surprise! The fun is only just now beginning.” No matter what she was going to be shown, Ivy knew she would rather see it than pass up a potential opportunity to learn about why they were here.

The classroom featured tablets with people’s names. She found hers quickly and put in the earbuds. The video she started was… terrible. What? Who would do this? “What the f–k is this, bear?” She stood up quickly and tensed her hands into fists. Her arms were practically shaking with the force and anger building up inside of her. It took all of her strength not to punch the screen in front of her. Punching the bear would feel so good, but she couldn’t break the rules. Not if that would end with her dying. “Is this… real?” It didn’t look fake, so she wasn’t optimistic. But she still needed to hear it from the source.

His nose crinkled as she made a remark about his unbelievable apology. Under his breath, barley audible, he mumbled, “Believe me, I’m surprised, too.” He was well aware that he did not apologize nearly enough to a large multitude of people… he probably would not openly admit that in a statement but nonetheless. When Shiniqua told him that she was not ‘into sappy stuff,’ he huffed out a large sigh as his body relaxed. “Thank goodness. I wasn’t sure if I could go on with it any longer,” he admitted somewhat dramatically as he rubbed his temples. A short moment passed before she was questioning where her tablet was-- a drawing tablet, apparently… not the one she shattered into a million pieces --and stood to grab it upon spotting it’s location. Curious to see what she was looking at on it, he stood as well and leaned over her shoulder to check it out.
He hummed in thought, staring at it. His eyes narrowed as he said, “The person in your drawing looks interesting. Cool design; is it some sort of character? I feel like they look a bit familiar.” He was unsure why, not realizing that the color palette used was similar to his own, actual color palette. Despite being rather observant when the situation called for it, he could be quite oblivious.

Despite her harsh tone when instructing her as to how she should wash it, Himari paid no mind. “Ooo, hand-washing it? Sounds fun! I like hand-washing stuff from time to time, I guess.” Her head tilted rhythmically from one side to the other as she walked, eventually pushing through the front door to the outside. Although they were cut off from the rest of the world, they could fortunately still catch a breath of fresh air. If not, Himari probably would have gone stir-crazy by now despite it only being the second day that they were trapped on the school’s campus.
“Hm hm hmm… not spoiled just… fancy!” She used the word again, unsure how else she would describe her. Xiulan’s lavish clothing and cool demeanor gave off the impression that she had it easy in regards to her style of living. “I guess I just assumed that you would have people to do it for you, if that makes sense-- meant it as a compliment! You seem well-off, being the Ultimate Peking Actress and all of that jazz.” She waved away the worries with her hand. Luckily, the two were almost at the dormitory building where the laundry room was located. “That’s really neat though! Pretty cool of your grandma to make sure you don’t slack off or grow up too spoiled, y’know? Good on her for that!”

Etsuko jumped for joy. It was quite amusing to watch. “Calm down, sweetheart! Of course, I’m willing to make you one if you want.” he crossed his arms with a smug look on his face. She was suggesting styles that she liked to dress in, and well, he wasn’t surprised. She did seem like a girl who liked pastel and cutesy dresses. She also mentioned making a dress entirely out of sweets. “I’m sure that was terrifying. Imagine ants crawling up your clothes,” he shuddered at the thought of that. Though he liked animals, insects were a big no-no. He hated those little creepy-crawlies.

“Oh, well, it’s fine. I’m not good at cooking or makings sweets,” he shrugged and followed her around the library as she surfed through different books. He, too, looked around and it looked like they were in the history section. “I don’t think you’re gonna find any candy-making books here.”

“Well, what type of visions do you see?” he asked curiously. He didn’t really believe her when she has said she was a psychic. Seeing the future wasn’t possible, not to mention that it is pseudo-science. Kousuke had almost come to the conclusion that she was lying. After all, this school was a scam with a lunatic wanna-be bear as the headmaster. It wouldn’t be surprising if she was actually lying.

She accepted Kousuke’s offer about cooking something for her. “Do you have any preferences or any food allergies? I wouldn’t want to ‘accidentally’ kill you.” he joked. Now that he thought about it, that was the only way to get out of this h-llhole. But he wouldn’t want to murder someone just to get out of this school, or would he? She shook his head and eliminated these thoughts.

It seemed that Ryo was also not comfortable with sentimental situations and conversations. “Why am I not surprised?” she rolled her eyes. He seemed more relaxed now and so did she.

He was curious about what she had drawn and stole a glance at it. He, too, noticed that the person looked familiar. “Uh, I guess…?” she said and switched it off immediately. “Anyway… what are you doing here?” she tried changing the subject. Though she already knew what his answer was going to be, she asked anyway. Anything for him to not notice who that person was. It would be slightly embarrassing and make things awkward between them.

She noticed a girl walk into the classroom and search for her tablet and earbuds. After a while, she looked frustrated. The look on her face was really obvious. “Well well well, it looks like someone’s about to blow up,” she said with a neutral face. “Like me,” she mumbled to herself.

To her surprise once more, she tried to calm herself down but could any shake in excitement; what could possibly be his ideas? Her thoughts could only go so far from what she saw in the streets of Harajuku. She cleared her throat as she gave him a playful nudge, “Thank you~~ And that is why dad always gives me candy looking fabrics just in case I make something! Though mom always keeps me busy so I never have the time to experiment with those (>~<)!”

Looking through the books once more, hearing him and his saying of her findings not deemed to be found, she pouted as she looks at the place with her doe eyes watering, “Oh no~~ Libraries always do that! One day I’ll make one book like that so all the little children will be amazed to what we do! But as of now… I wanna find some books that are fun to read… like fun novels… and fun comics!” Etsuko turns to Li Wei as she gave her best puppy eyes unto him, “Will you help me find books like those?”

As she hears her enthusiasm shine through as Xiulan had tried to bring heavy burden onto her, something about it made her irritated as they walked on. It was as if nothing ever happened this day, not the video motive or even her actions. The walk was abruptly stopped as she turned around, trying to keep her calm composure as she speaks, having the results break from time to time as her voice raises and gets low, “Do you even get mad? What are your dislikes? I must know! I mean you are still human, right? You’re no Ultimate Robot right? If that even is a thing, are you?”

As she turned around, she was silent. Not a word uttered by her. Her anger then sizzled down as her shoulders raised down and became less tense, she gave a glimpse to Himari, “I apologize for my behavior this day, you do understand what that bear gave to us and what conditions it gave to us. I take fault for that, but this will be the first and last time you will hear that from me…”

Continuing from the walk, she goes on on how she would just assume she’d be spoiled, she scoffs as she hears every assumptions and looked at the bright view, “It is true we have servants, our house is just like mini palaces. Large courtyard, multiple rooms, a long walkway, lots of rooms with different purposes. But, my grandmother knows suffering and wants me to understand things that could be helpful as a woman and as a person. Servants would clean the room, that was all.”

Their talk would soon be interrupted as they had reached their destination, the laundry room. As they entered the room, she looked at the sad interior and looked at it with pure disgust; it was just as gloomy and diffused as a preteen’s room. With the long walk, she took a seat and told Himari to clean her handkerchief.

Resting a bit, she broke her silence as she tries to address what she had said earlier, “You know, I understand first impressions are important; surely you failed that for me. But, my other reason of snapping is that you don’t seem genuine to me. I have expressed my feelings for you, good or bad, but you seem like you keep your feelings to yourself. Let me remind this to you, Himari, if you do wish to be friends with me, rather I want you to be open and show what you agree and disagree. You wouldn’t want to go as far being an accomplice if I possibly dispose of evidence, so open up bozo. When Monokuma gave you that video, I saw that vulnerability and human. You even snapped when I simply tapped you! So at least show you can oppose if you want us to form a friendship, I despise people who are as fake as polyester. If you go on and say that is your strength, fine by me! Go on and be stepped on like the doormat you were destined to be, I will not care nor associate anything to you anymore.”

She then brushed her hair as she looked at her, “But of course, don’t go as far as debating with someone. You might end up in an accident. Keep destructive things to yourself.”

“I see things from the future. Most of the time, they are quick visions but if I really want to get a full reading on something, I have to be in a quiet space while focusing, although in the full reading I usually predict things 10 years from now.” She was happy to explain what kind of visions she had. “Well, to be more specific, once I had a strange vision about a object flying and glass shattering and people crying, turns out that a car accident happened a few weeks later where a car crashed into a glass wall.” She suddenly realized that she probably shouldn’t be talking about something so dark, it probably would trigger him in some way.

“Yeah, that wouldn’t be good…I don’t have any food allergies but I would prefer something small.” Crystal really wasn’t in the mood for a big meal. The guy introduced himself as Kousuke. “Well, I’m glad that I know someone at least a little more here. It makes it not feel so…scary.” She tapped her fingers on the table while thinking.“So…when did you know that you wanted to be a psychiatrist?”

Christina continued to stare at the screen in horror, even though the video was off. Just a second ago she was bittersweet about seeing her brother on the screen. On one hand she was happy to see him, but she wondered if this was going to be the last time. She got up from the table. Her face was hot and she was on the brink of tears.
This can’t be happening!
She wanted to see if there was anyone around that had a similar video to her. As she was walking by, she decided to peer over a girl’s shoulder to see what was on her screen.

“Well, I would like for you to make something. Looking at the dress you’re wearing which you
made, I’m sure you’d create wonderful designs! Well, not more wonderful than mine,” she flashed a bright smile at her and continued browsing the shelves for some books. History wasn’t his favourite and he wasn’t really a book-lover, but who cared? At least he was passing time doing something.

Etsuko had wanted to write a book about candies and sweets, probably. While there were no books about candies, she started searching for comics. She gave him her cute puppy eyes and asked him to help her find those comics. Li Wei was planning to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat after talking to her, but this is was too adorable to refuse. “神救救我 google translate, hehe,” he mumbled to himself. He paused for a moment before answering, “Uh… sure…? But I am a bit hungry,” he shrugged.

“Well, did you predict 10 years ago that you’d be stuck in a so-called ‘school’ with others?” he asked. He was still not believing her, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask. She was talking about predicting a car crash. “Well, it could’ve been a coincident. And do you see those visions in dreams or…?” He was trying to find a perfect explanation for these ‘visions’. Well, there had to be one.

Kousuke had been collecting all the ingredients, keeping in mind that she wanted a small meal. He decided to cook natto with steamed rice and a bowl of miso soup. It hadn’t been long since he cooked, so he hadn’t forgotten anything. But, he did remember the last meal he had was with his sisters back home. He smiled at the memories of his sisters and wondered how they were doing.

“So…when did you know that you wanted to be a psychiatrist?”

He was slightly taken aback. He wasn’t expecting her to ask this. But, you have to find something to talk about… right? “It wasn’t really a choice. I wouldn’t really consider myself a psychiatrist actually.”

Classroom || With Shiniqua

His brow furrowed at how quick she had been to turn the tablet off; it threw him off guard but he supposed that she must be rather private with some of her drawings. Although he was confident that he would be able to have her willingly show a drawing at some point, he would save that for later. At least, he hoped she would. Perhaps seeing some of her work would provide some insight to how her mind works and give him a better understanding as to who she is.
Ryo took a few steps back now that the tablet was off, giving Shiniqua some space. “What am I doing here? … Well, I was first here for my motive. You know, like everyone else. Then I came over to you with the intention of teasing but since you were so upset…” He trailed off, realizing that this may give a certain impression. “I mean, I really could not care less but I wasn’t in the mood to cause a scene. Not that that went exactly as planned,” he finally finished with a mere shrug.
“What about you, hm? I know you had to find your tablet but I would have expected you to storm off by now. Is my presence becoming a comfort for you in these trying times?” He was clearly teasing her just a tad bit, his brow now raised so that his expression matched his tone. With a playful smirk, he crossed his arms and looked down at her, only to find that her attention was now elsewhere.
He realized that her attention had shifted towards an unfamiliar face in the room. He noticed right away that she was strikingly pretty-- did her talent have something to do with that? He really should get to know some of the others but given that they were all trapped in this school, he figured he’d have time later. “Were you wanting to go talk to her?”

Outside – Laundry Room || With Xiulan

It took Himari by surprise to hear Xiulan’s sudden outburst, especially when she realized that this was over her and the portrayal of her emotions. Her lips rolled inwards, pressing together as she suppressed an expression that was too telling of how she felt. She was so use to bottling everything up inside and merely smiling that maybe she could be considered the Ultimate Robot. Although she had never considered that she seemed so artificial or deceptive. Most people seemed to never notice anything past the surface level so… in a strange way, it was a bit refreshing to have someone call her out on it, even if it did sting a little to deal with that confrontation.
She did not answer, though, instead remaining silent as she tried to process her emotions and her thoughts. When it came to how she truly thought and felt, it took her time to figure out how to word things whereas it was simply to bust out a quick and light response. Before she could formulate any words, though, Xiulan started talking once more, an apology leaving her mouth this time. Despite saying nothing, a small smile of appreciation and acceptance grows on Himari’s face. She was somewhat thankful but instead of dragging on the topic and allow any negative emotions to fester, she went on to share her initial impression of Xiulan.
“Ah, I see! That sounds like a nice idea, actually. I’d say that was a good decision from your grandmother in the long run,” she answered casually as if she had not just been exposed minutes before. She kept it at that, though, since the two had entered the laundry room. Himari immediately started working on cleaning the handkerchief by hand, careful with delicate fabric.
“Hm… it’s not that I’m trying to be manipulative or anything like that. I just…” Her voice is a bit softer than usual as she tries to find the correct words to properly express how she feels. “Forcing such a positive outlook and mindset on myself just became a sorta defense mechanism, y’know? Bottle up the negative emotions and let them explode later, when I’m on my own. Overall, I guess I’m… just disconnected from my genuine emotions.” She laughed sheepishly before saying, “I have no idea if that makes sense, I’m sorry! But since this is the only way for us to be friends, I’m trying my best to explain.” Her hands had slowed down throughout her response to the point where she was eventually just staring down as she loosely held the fabric. After shaking her head, she started again. “I really just don’t understand myself or what I feel most of the time, that’s all. And seeing myself angry scares me-- reminds me of someone I know and I don’t want to be anything like them.”
Once she was done washing, she turned around with the handkerchief held up between her two hands to showcase it. “Does this look good, Xiulan?”

@Secreterz || Xiulan Jin I don’t mind at all-- that was really good!! I hope you don’t mind mine being long, haha. Also, I’m sorry it took me soso long to respond!! It won’t happen again (':
