Alya Cheshire

| The place where villains go because Alya is very obviously a villain, I mean just look at her. Only villains have dyed hair. || Jara |

This girl was definitely a nerd. Though, Alya could accept that. She wasn’t obsessed with studying but had nothing against those who enjoyed it. “Because I’m a nice curse,” she retorted with heavy sarcasm. “What… what the hell is the Bertrum effect?” She asked, mispronouncing the said effect.

She paused, thinking about what the girl had just said. Maybe Alya really was over her head in taking this class. She was a prankster, occasional beater-upper, yet never evil. She didn’t like manipulation or psychology. It was pain, and tricky. Alya couldn’t help but now feel nervous around this girl, holding her ground, however. “Yeah, anytime Jara.” The girl started looking through her bag, and Alya leaned over. “Whatcha looking for?”

Alya laughed as Jara continued denying it. “Okay, whatever you say, Jar.” She crossed her arms over her chest? “The sea?” It was an interesting question. A little out of the blue, but whatever. “No, I can’t say I have. You?”

Pin Quan Kieu

| Advanced Chemistry || Thuc Kieu Sinh |

The boy that Pin had so wrongly chosen to talk to sneered at their name and they placed their hand over their bag strap that hung across their chest. They didn’t think there was anything wrong with their name. Sure, pins were viewed as little things but could really hurt if used properly. They wanted to hang their head in shame, however, they then wondered what they were scared of. This child couldn’t do anything to them. Pin adjusted his posture, standing up straighter with his shoulders pushed slightly back. “Oh, so I suppose this is the chemistry class for those who think they’re better than everyone else then,” Pin reminded himself that they would be fine. They weren’t exactly a bad runner, either.

Whatever anger was in Pin’s body was drained as the boy introduced himself. “What…?” The last thing Pin had expected was running into his brother. Okay, to be fair he wasn’t totally sure it was his twin. Just because he shared the same last name as their mother and their father meant nothing, surely. But Pin needed to make sure. “Would your mother… happen to be Thuy Kieu?” Pin asked in a tentative voice, severely regretting what he had said moments ago.

Isaiah Westergaard

| Kingdom || Eudorable |

She avoided his gaze and Isaiah was confused at this point. Was it him? Did he do something wrong or insensitive? She wasn’t responding and he decided to advert his gaze as well, turning to his brother and giving him a death glare. It was only semi-obvious that he had been laughing at him in some way or another. Okay, so Isaiah didn’t have the best luck with girls. Whatever. He was much better when it came to boys, anyways. The girl eventually responded and Isaiah looked back with a soft expression, “You’d don’t have to pretend, you know. Your feelings are valid,” he spoke in a calm voice. “Well, Eudora, it’s lovely to meet you. I do hope your morning has been nice?”

Tristan Westergaard

| Murder Plotting || Ace the Ass |

Tristan nodded, he supposed that was true. Though he hated actually listening to it. Much like any advice he had ever been given. “Thanks for the advice, I guess.” Tristan was disappointed, to say the least. He had really been hoping for something more. He raised a skeptical eyebrow as Ace said what she had done, yet all Tristan could focus on was, “You beat up a girl?” No sh*t he won. That girl looked like a stick, but that wasn’t an accomplishment. At least it wasn’t to Tristan. He might’ve been an ass but he was above beating up girls. After Ace shared his name, Tristan replied, “Catchy. I’m Tristan.” He paused, remembering Porcelain. “They’re not all bad. I skipped with this girl, Sil- Porcelain. We made plans to hang out again tonight.” He smiled, reminiscing, and giving a superior look towards Ace.

Tristan rolled his eyes as he turned to see who Ace was addressing, only to see his brother glaring at him. He wasn’t sure how to continue. On one hand, he could admit that it was his brother. Or he could pretend that he had no idea who he was. Seeing as Ace had just called him a loser, Tristan decided the better option was to go with lying. “Man, he looks like he’s never even had a girlfriend, let alone had s*x.” Tristan turned back around, deciding that it was useless to continue on about his brother. “There’s no point really. If it were me, I would’ve taken the Villain class. That way, maybe I’d learn something that I could actually use.”

I let out a sigh. “That’s because you don’t know better than what you think is in front of you,” I said as I was starting to wonder if I should stop being vague and just tell her. Seeing how Dae will probably tell everyone soon, I might as well just tell them myself… Right?

“I wasn’t calm because whenever I’m alone, my magic will try to convince me to lower my guard or just try to drive me insane until I get too wined up that I lose control,” I said and held my hand in front of me a little and looked at it as if it was my first time seeing it.

“You know how normal people with magic have it flow through their body? Their body works like a container and suppresses their magic energy, right?” I asked. “Well, my body… Every fibre of it is made out of magic… Negative magic. All I am is a solid form of compressed dark magic” I said with a sigh." So yes, normally if I die, my magic could be lingering, but seeing how I’m already basically lingering magic when I die, there will be nothing left. But killing myself, or getting killed… It’s harder than you think" I said and I gently put her hand on my chest. “I have no heart, no real one I mean. I don’t bleed or function like other humans do, so, how can you kill something like that?” I asked. “I tried it, you know, killing myself, but it doesn’t work like that. If I stab myself, it will just be healed soon. If I lose an arm, the arm disappears and after absorbing the energy, it will start to grow back…” I explain and let out a sigh of frustration. “So I’m stuck in this…” I mumbled.

Katsu giggled when Kellan got all concerned that Kats didn’t have heals on like they usually did. They didn’t have platform shoes on either they had on a pair of very flat little black ballet flats with gold little ribbons attached that wrapped around their ankle. “I was in a rush and I didn’t get the chance to sneak out with all my stuff Kellan I ran away at night some sacrifices had to be made unfortunately.” Katsu pouted a bit still upset they had to leave quite a bit of their stuff behind. Katsu wrapped their arm around Kellan’s waist as he clung to them. Katsu was nearly as excited as Kellan that they would have a good chunk of their classes together every day. “I know right but Im so excited we have that many together I mean I was honestly preparing myself for when you said we had nothing together.” Katsu admitted as they leaned their head on Kellan. Katsu was pretty tired but didn’t want to show it too much.

Katsu smiled and giggled with how excited Kellan was. Kellan’s excitement always made Kats happy even if Kellan was super excited about something Katsu thought was dumb. They wouldn’t ever bring him down that boy was a ray of sunshine and Kats really needed that sometimes so it was something they honestly encouraged in Kellan. “I know but like does he like you back? Kellan is he not straight like are you sure he isn’t straight?” Katsu asked concerned that Kellan would end up heart broken if this boy was. “Yeah being away from you sucked too Kellan. You know I debated calling you and telling you over summer that I was going to run away and come live with you more than a few times.” Katsu admitted as they took a deep breath and tried to play it off. “Not much Im honestly exhausted and ruing on three hours of sleep.” Katsu admitted feeling bad because they knew this would freak Kellan out even more. “I have a class now you probably don’t want to be anywhere near Sunshine. I have Villain History and skills now.” Katsu rubbed their eyes and smiled up at Kellan. “You don’t have to I mean I would appreciate it but I get it if you don’t want to as well.” Katsu nodded when they heard Kellan say that he wasn’t letting them go. “I know you won’t Kellan that’s why I told you the situation.” Katsu leaned into the hug honestly missing affection like this. “I believe you Kellan.”

“Boring” Katsu offered the word to finish Kellan’s thoughts. “I mean I didn’t mind them but I see what you mean.” Katsu knew it would be more fun in the morning classes if they were with a friend or two and not absolutely exhausted. “I hope you are right sunshine and even if you are not they better get used to me because im sticking around.” Katsu giggled when they said this. It was true they had no intentions of going anywhere even if Kellan’s friends didn’t like them. “I can’t wait to meet them I mean you have already told me so much about them.” Katsu pushed their glasses up on their face and smiled they were ready for some new friends. Katsu was excited to hear everything about this new guy that Kellan was all head over heals for suddenly. “Well Im glad you think you have a chance with this guy Kellan. This all sounds really sweet I hope it works out. He sounds like a really good guy for you Kellan.” Katsu burst out laughing when Kellan said this new guy was tied with them. “Well I know you like him in a different way sunshine.” Katsu was appreciative of the compliment but knew that Kellan was falling hard for this guy. “Ooo a septum.” Katsu was a little shocked this guy sounded really interesting. Kellan pulled up a picture on his phone and Katsu looked it over. "Oh wow Kellan good choices he is cute and if his personality is half as good as you say it is… I would say you have a catch right there. Don’t let that boy go.

Laurie name
Laurie had made it thorough their first two classes besides talking with Blue not much memorable had really happened in either of their classes. Advanced Lit and advanced Math had gone well both teachers were great and Laurie had been at least familiar with both so there had been no problem there. Laurie was hoping that they met a few more new students so far they all seemed super sweet. Given Laurie had only met two new people so far but hey they were both nice so that was a good sign. Laurie was on his way to Villain History and Skills. It wasn’t a class Laurie particularly enjoyed. It didn’t always have great people in it but because of who his father was he felt kind of obligated to be there. Laurie didn’t fit in with the crowd that was generally in the class and had often been the odd guy out last year but he was hoping for at least one nice friend in that class this year. As Laurie went to class he saw a smaller boy standing outside the classroom door and he seemed to be staring at Laurie. Laurie walked up to them and waved. “Hey you in Villain History and Skills too?” He asked politely. This guy looked nicer than most that were walking into class, Heck this guy looked very sweet. Looks could be misleading but Laurie was hoping for once they weren’t with this guy.

Brooks first name
Brooks was writing little music notes in their notebook, They were listening to Alicia but they needed a little distraction for their brain so they wouldn’t try and push her away. “I could maybe show you sometime. I dot have an extra guitar though.” Brooks admitted as they were thinking. "If you could find one though I could try and teach you I guess.: Brooks shrugged as they avoided eye contact and tried not to think about the whole you are making friends thing. “I wasn’t comforting you I was bing honest. Its hard saying maybe they were in the bathroom or something.” Brooks shrugged again and kept writing music in their note book. “Yeah it is.” Brooks was trying to keep the conversation up even though their own brain was betraying them as it continued to scream at them that this girl would treat them poorly and they were not worth her time or friendship anyway. “It was fine I guess…” Brooks trailed off a little I skipped because I had a huge emotional break down yeah they couldn’t just tell this girl that though that would probably be a great way to get her to leave them. That wasn’t what they wanted at least that’s what they kept trying to convince themself. “Really you will let me borrow your notes?” Brooks asked looking at her surprised. “I appreciate that.”

Meeting Lorelai in mathematics had been interesting. Though Peckerhead had thought was nice to her, she’d still been a little scary and intimidating. When the bell rang, she made haste, muttering a farewell. It was only her second day on her own, away from her father, and she was not doing well. As she made her way to class, trying to a least make sure that her classes went well by getting there well before the bell, her optimism wavered when thinking about everything else that’s happened. So far she had done something to offend the only friend she thought she had, spoken to a girl who almost set her on fire and another who had taught her bad things and wanted to threaten people. Only the boy in her second class had been one to be nice, though even probably wouldn’t talk to her again. No, she was not doing well at this school so far and her father would only be disappointed.

Peckerhead rushed into the classroom and took up one of the centre desk and chairs. Immediately dropping her head down onto her fold arms on the desk’s surface. She was feeling sorry for herself and didn’t even look up when a girl sat beside her and announced loudly, “Hi, Peckerhead!!!"
“Hi,” Peckerhead repeated back to the table, her voice muffled by her arms. She hadn’t even realised who was talking.
"The uniform looks amazing on you, by the way. Mind if I take this seat? I missed you this morning!”
“I know it does. It’s the first dress I’ve ever worn too,” her voice becoming clearer as she lifted her head. Then her eyes locked onto Cara’s and widened. “Cara! You were looking for me?” Peckerhead’s expression was half joyous and half like a wound puppy.

The boy halted just inside the room and turned 180 degrees, stopping Bertram in his tracks. The blonde then held out his hand to him and said, “Kyle Forlana, next in line to the Forlana Kingdom.”
Noticing the blonde’s, Kyle’s, supercilious attitude, Bertram knew that the last thing he wanted or needed to do was anger a prince. Taking the prince’s hand gently in his, tilting it so the prince’s hand was on top and then bowed his head a little lower than usual. From that position, he replied, "Bertram, no title that would be any to a prince. Merely a humble gardener who is pleased to make your acquaintance.

César stood proud before the form that dramatically rolled around on the ground, features set into an icy frown. “I’m giving you fashionable purple marks,” he declared, looking the other student with a piercing gaze as he rested a hand on his hip. “You know, since it’s the colour of royalty. Don’t complain, Jakoblet.”

With that, César floated over to where the ball had rolled off. It brought him closer to Jakob’s pretend-writhing form, allowing him to catch sight of the space between the other student’s tense hamstring and calf as the latter held his thigh. “And anyway, you know where the healing ointment is,” César continued, placing the mallet just behind the ball and putting his feet on each side. He had been aiming for Jakob’s flank earlier, and he didn’t like stopping on a miss. “If you think it’s broken, just drag yourself over there and apply it.”

With a snort, César swung the mallet again, this time causing the ball to perfectly pass through the gap: barely grazing Jakob’s calf, it rolled off towards the end of the bathroom, stopping at the foot of the tub. The sight of which gave César a sudden desire to cast aside all consequences of the complete mess he’d been dragged around in throughout the morning, and take a warm bath. Lorelai and he shared classes anyway, albeit not in the same order -he could very well just get her notes for third and fourth period.

Stepping over Jakob’s body, César made his way to the tub, placing the mallet against it before running the hot water. When he turned back around, however, he caught sight of the redness tinting Jakob’s cheeks, and felt a slight pinch in his heart. “God, Jakob, you asked for it,” he said with a very self-assured look, although a slight puff escaped his lips -the only hint of some form of regret on his part.

That, and the fact that he walked back to kneel down next to him, placing a hand to the surely-bruised thigh a little absent-mindedly. “Just get me another uniform,” he said, giving him a snooty gaze. “No pranks.” Apparently, César hadn’t learned his lesson, and was still convinced that it would suffice. He gestured towards the door with a flick of the hand, lifting his chin expectantly.

Dieter sighed when Onyx left. They definitely didn’t like him, he could tell. He did offer to summon their mother, but they left before he actually could. Oh well. He’d probably see them later, he thought. He lay down, closing his eyes. His feet were still in the water, and he swished them back and fourth.

Samantha decided to go to class later, right now she wanted to explore the campus. She first stopped at her dorm. Ugh, it’s way too sunny, I hate sunny. Maybe I’ll just let my roomate have the room and I’ll find a cave or something else outside. She shivered and went back outside once again and strolled through the gardens until she caught a scent of something, something…familiar. Something dead? No, not quite. She saw a young man with his feet in the water. Samantha cleared her throat, “What are you doing?” She asked wanting first gauge who this guy is.

MEABH AND NEISHA SÍDHE

Meabh and Neisha exchanged glances as Hilda showed their confusion at being unable to see Neisha’s chains. Their next exchange was swift and decisive.
“Do you want to show them?”
“I mean…”
“I don’t think they’d get scared”
“Sure, why not”
“Sure!”
With a final shared nod, Meabh stepped back slightly as Neisha allowed her disguised to crumble away, like tiny flakes of humanity peeling off her skin. It took about two minutes for each transformation to be complete, but soon enough Neisha soon stood - her true form revealed, calmly in front of Hilda and her sibling. Her face was fixed in a serene smile, made ever more otherworldly my her lack of irises or pupils.
Meabh barely gave their sister a glance, watching Hilda carefully instead. The sight was one they had witnessed many times before, and it was always curious to see how such a transformation - from beauty to she-devil - could affect the animosity levels of witnesses.
Deciding the act was probably worth a comment, Neisha shook herself briefly, before speaking again. Instead of the light, lilting voice that she had previously, Neisha’s voice now was a barely recognisable shriek. Alas - it was not to be helped.
“These are the chains I spoke about” Neisha intoned, holding out a wrist in demonstration. The chains were not physically restrictive, but their magical bindings were tighter than any pair of manacles.
With Neisha’s voice limited now, the task of communication fell to Meabh. Pulling out her phone, they allowed google translate to record Hilda’s words, and used it to form a suitable response to them.
“Ok, tell me what you’ve learned about this, please.” The device translated, and Meabh noted the other kid’s own anger at the situation. Good. They hadn’t recruited an apathetic one, at least. Typing rapidly, Meabh awkwardly spoke the words that Google translated for them.
“We know next to nothing… unfortunately.” Meabh spoke slowly, in an attempt to pronounce everything correctly. “We came… here to try to… figure out how to… take the chains off… her.” Expectantly, Meabh glanced up at Hilda, hoping that they had understood her correctly, despite the language barrier.

AESTHI LOCH

There seemed to be a prolongd pause between Aesthi finishing speaking and the voice responding, which Aesthi took as a sign that whoever it was was a) very much a person and not just a voice, and b) had been a bit put off by xys abrupt language. That being said, the voices next words did nothing but frustrated xem more.
“I can tell you with absolute certainty, that if Freya cared so much about me she wouldn’t have brought me here. She knew full well how happy I was back home, with my friends.
Xe put emphasis on that last word, hoping that it would communicate to this pest that xys anger was not simply at xys sister, but at the fact she had forced xem to forsake xys friends - xys family, to go on a bonding task. It was ludicrous and cruel.
“She spoke with me at great lengths on our journey here. I just want to be done with it.” Aesthi finished, reaching an ultimatum. Time to change the topic, xe decided.
“In a more jovial response to your earlier question,” Aesthi began, allowing a smile to float back onto xys face. “Not everyone has a perfect life. Some people get hurt along the way, and if that took away my ‘goodness’, then so be it.” Aesthi used xys fingers to put speech quotes around xys words, xys face stretching into a grin as xe did so. This was a topic xe didn’t mind talking about, after all, as xe had left it behind years ago, and was fast on the course to healing from it - if not completely.
“Anyway,” xe continued, shrugging and settling into the familiar ruitine that came with being extroverted and around new people. “I’m Aesthi. What about you?”

THUC KIEU SINH

Thuc allowed a chuckle to escape his perfect expression at the indication’s of fear in little ‘Pin’s’ body language. How quaint of him, to hold his bag strap as if Thuc planned to grab it off him. As the kid stood up straighter, squaring his shoulders and steadying his voice, Thuc allowed an expression akin to faux pride alter his features, laughing slightly at the boy’s childish attempts at an insult.
“Oh, so I suppose this is the chemistry class for those who think they’re better than everyone else then,”
“Oh, not just think,” Thuc spoke smoothly, examining the slightly bruised knuckles of his fist absentmindedly. “We know.”
Thuc was quite taken aback at the reaction Pin had to his introduction, even if he didn’t allow to emotion to show. Swiftly, however, he reminded himself that his abilities in fighting, as well as his incredibly high social status, were enough to strike fear into anyone’s bones. Pin’s next words however, stirred an anger within Thuc that was lifetimes in brewing.
“Would your mother… happen to be Thuy Kieu?”
Thuc’s features hardened in ill disguised anger at this comment. “How dare you.” he practically hissed at the boy, glaring at him with an intensity strong enough to kill a grown man.
“My mother,” Thuc drew himself up, lifting his chin in pride. “She is none other than Hoan Thu, wife of Thuc Sinh. My biological parent may be Thuy Kieu, but that b!tch will never be my mother.”
Thuc had been told many dark, twisted tales about Thuy Kieu, few of them true and all of them twisted into an evil portrayal of the woman, but Thuc was unaware of this second part, and frankly was unlikely to care if someone were to inform him. He hated his biological mother, and rejected every form of attachment to her. Every form.

Hilda watched in confusion when Meabh stepped back, and Neisha’s skin began to flake off. Hilda’s eyes were wide in surprise, when Neisha stood there two minutes later as what Hilda assumed to be her true form. “That’s insane…I really like your hair.” Hilda said, unfazed. They watched as she showed the chains, nodding. Meabh pulled out her phone as they spoke. They watched her type, slowly explaining that they didn’t know much. When Meabh looked at Hilda, they assumed she wanted to know if Hilda understood. “Ok, I got it. Good job with the translations.” They said, smiling.

Jara nodded. “Life so far. I don’t mind it, and I don’t usually feel loney. So, don’t worry.”
“Usually? You do some of the time then?”, Bertram asked then instantly felt guilty. “I do apologise, I didn’t mean to pry.”

Jara laughed, then after she spoke, her smile went goofy. “No, no. Baking isn’t a strong suit. I’d say I’m moderately fine. I just have to study up on it more.”
“I could agree with you there, as baking is not a strong suit for me either,” he said, tilting his head slightly to his side and rested his hand on his chin. “Perhaps we can get in some more practice together, put aside some baking time?”

“I just remembered, ‘My tongue is as sharp as my wit’ and went off that. Since my tongue is rather dull I used the sharpest object I could think of,” Jara answered.
“Oh, my, I do apologise,” Bertram said in the most heartfelt way. “I suppose I thought that such a wise quote didn’t come from someone so young. I should know that I shouldn’t presume such things.”

“Well then…”, Jara paused. “I hope they are in good hands when that happens. I also hope… you can find something that makes you smile just as much at this school.”
“Yes, well, I do try my best to look after any bees I see, planting all the flowers for them to polinate.” He gave her a simple, polite smile. “Thank you. I have already taken a walk around the garden. That was lovely, have you been?”

Valentina bid farewell to Hadrian-it had been wonderful to talk to them. She felt as if she had finally made a friend-not only was Hadrian interesting and an elegant conversationalist-they also seemed interested in Valentina’s own life-much unlike most people. She hoped to see them again soon. Valentina glided down the hall-though not with her feathery cupid’s wings-flying was not allowed in the hallways. And as she passed by a classroom, thinking about how to get the rule altered, their burgundy-clothed shoulder brushed against someone else’s. Valentina barely noticed-her mind was almost always elsewhere. She had been scanning the hallways for potential new couples-and even matches for Hadrian. The only thing that alerted her that she had done such a thing was a sharp-“Bloody, what the hel-” Valentina’s dark eyes widened as she quickly turned around to face the boy who had spoken. He had pale skin, curly brown hair, and bluebell eyes-He didn’t look like the kind of person to get mad over such a small thing. But before she could apologize-perhaps with a bit of added sass, his expression changed. And so did his voice-sounding much kinder, and posher as well, he spoke again. “Greetings, I apologize for my clumsiness, my mind…was not in the right place. May Hare.” Huh. Valentina didn’t really know what to think about this sudden change. But, smiling in her usually friendly way, she said, “No worries, May! I’m Valentina. I don’t think we’ve met before.”

Class had been…boring so far. Besides the occasional joke or comment to Cam, Bay did her best to really focus on what the teacher was saying-but it was hard when she was not interested in the topic at all. The only thing she was interested in was the upcoming dance…she loved parties. Surely, Cam would go as her date, but she still wanted to ask him in a special way… So, as she sat in the chemythstry classroom-a classroom she really liked-she chattered quietly to herself-about ways she could ask Cam to go to the dance with her. Though soon, she got distracted by all the posters and the bubbles…eventually, she was just talking to herself about those. She didn’t even notice the girl sitting next to her until she laughed. Bay looked over, breaking into a smile. “Oh, hi! I didn’t see you there!” She bubbled, ignoring the apology as there was really no need for one-in Bay’s opinion at least. “What are you laughing about? Is it the classroom? The posters are a bit uneven, no? And the seats are weird shapes.”

Samantha narrowed her eyes, “Where are you from?” She asked curiously. This boy smelled of Death but was clearly very much alive. The only ‘living’ people who smelled like that where she came from were vampires, of course being a ‘natural-born’ vampire she didn’t smell like that but her mother did, as she was human first and had to die before becoming a vampire. Nevertheless, her interest was piqued. “Good, I didn’t want to disturb you, I was just walking along touring the campus, when I heard splashing.”
She said causally.

This towering white monstrosity of a school was a far cry from the small village that he’d grown up in in France. This sight was something from one of his storybooks—he felt like if he opened it to a random page, he could see this castle etched into the paper, every majestic detail caught with the illustrator’s pen. And even with this thought running through his mind, the castle was distinctly unique, unlike anything he’d ever seen before.

From the moment the letter arrived at his doorstep, the invitation to a whole new world practically, he’d had several expectations about what the school would be like, and so how was it that he could be at the front door and already be so struck by awe? A smile slipped across his lips, a warm, wondering expression that brightened his already fairly sunny deposition. Téo had a feeling that he was right in his original assumption that he would like this place.

He was a little, er, late to the school as he had taken a wrong turn… somewhere. He’d used a teleportation spell, but it ended up not taking him all the way which, he had admittedly planned for—last time he’d gotten lost in a forest, good things happened (that is, until they weren’t good anymore) and so he’d been hoping that the same fate would befall him again.

Long story short, it didn’t.

What did happen is that he ended up lost in the surrounding area for a good hour before he finally found the main road, and from that point it was pretty easy to hitch a ride by using his ~charming smile~ and the carriage driver dropped him off right in front of this palace. So perhaps in that respect, he was pretty fortunate, as there were many people who got lost in forests and succumbed to witches and wolves and twin boys and all sort of unsavoury creatures, but stumbling around a forest with three separate suitcases of luggage cleared any goodwill he might’ve had.

But yes, finally, here he was. Once Upon a High. A push through the doors and then he was within the walls of the school, swept up among the hordes of students pushing their way through the halls. The vast majority of the students wore the uniform, safe for the spots of colour that deviated from the standard whites and burgundy of the assigned uniforms. Téo was one of these spots, wearing a pale yellow tunic accompanied with brown pants, both of which were wrinkled and somewhat smudged with dirt from the lengthy amount of time spent in the forest. It was a pretty unacceptable outfit for his first day, in his mind, so he stopped by his assigned dorm room to change as well as drop off his suitcases.

Té took a quick shower which accomplished its goal of revitalizing him; not only was the smell of dry sweat removed, but he also looked fresher, felt better. He put on the regular white men’s uniform, which was standard except for the jacket, which had been dyed a shimmery golden colour. It was his mother had been the one to implement this change, thinking that it was a lovely improvement to the uniform and while Téo couldn’t exactly disagree with her, it was called a “uniform” for a reason, and Téo doubted that they were allowed to just change what they don’t like about it… his mother was used to using her beauty to get what she wanted, and she seemed to be under the impression that her son was gifted with a similar charm. When it really came down to it though, it didn’t really matter whether he could sway matters to go in his way or not as he only had these sets of uniforms to wear, so the school’s administrators would have to deal with Laurette’s fashion liberties.

Then he was off, heading to his first class of the day which also happened to be the third period of the day. Well, better late than never, right? A smile curved his lips as he headed inside, sliding into an empty seat. Eyes dancing around his surroundings, taking everything in, he didn’t notice the person next to him until she spoke, the word “lorelai” falling from her lips. His eyes landed on her, and as he took in her dazzling appearance, he was momentarily struck by her beauty. It was one of those things authors wrote about, you know, the lips as red as blood sort of bit—the beauty that seemed unimaginable, but obviously it was quite imaginable, as the source of such verses was sitting right next to him.

Was this the love at first sight he’d read about? Was this supposed to be that feeling, that sense that the authors had made clear was indicative of fate intervening, its pretty tendrils pushing two unsuspecting hearts together? Téo wasn’t sure, but he often wasn’t when it came to these sort of things. He also wasn’t sure what she had said to him—Lorelai? Was that a greeting in her native language? Should he then be responding to her in French? He had no clue, but he smiled lightly at her, meeting her smirk with a genuine, warm smile. “Hello,” he replied to her, the faint accent heard beneath his words. “Salut—that’s hi in my native language. And I guess lorelai is like hello or something in your language? So lorelai to you too.” He added that last bit with a self-satisfied grin, sure that he was accurate in his assumptions.

“I’m Téo, by the way.” He paused briefly, his blue eyes flicking up to meet her brown ones. “And you know, I don’t think I’ve ever met someone as beautiful as you,” he mused. “Are you a god, or at least some sort of mystical being? You honestly seem sort of ethereal, which only makes you all the more interesting.” He smiled, a sparkle glimmering in his eyes as he regarded her.

A small smirking smile spread across Samantha’s face “So, you know who I am? Or I suppose what I am? Some find it better if I wasn’t ‘human’.” Still smirking with the smile, Samantha raised an eyebrow, “That was an interesting guess, unless of course, you’re not quite dead either.” She waited for his response. Almost nobody ever figured out who she was, then again they didn’t have to as everyone in the village near her father’s castle knew exactly who she was and were terrified of her and her family.

Oh, hi! I didn’t see you there!” Ariadne was fine ignoring the apology if she was. “What are you laughing about? Is it the classroom? The posters are a bit uneven, no? And the seats are weird shapes.” Ariadne looked around, “The chairs are awfully strange, and it is quite chilly and a bit humid,” Ariadne paused, waiting, and thinking on how to explain why she was laughing “I was laughing at my brother, well, I was thinking of him I guess.” She looked around the class, “Sorry I know you don’t know me -oh by the way I’m Ariadne- but could I tell you something. Not-” Before she finished, she ended up ducking almost entirely behind the other girl.
