Dieter nodded when the girl asked if he knew who he was. “Vampire.” Dieter laughed when she said he wasn’t dead. “Nope. Not dead. Do I smell like it? Probably because that’s who my dad is.” He explained, standing up, looking down at the girl.

Samantha smirked and laughed, “Not just any vampire, Dracula’s daughter, but see that’s the interesting conundrum, isn’t it? I’m undead but have never died and I’m also immortal. I bet your father gets a kick out of that or does he hate my family with a burning passion? It’s ok if he does, I’m just curious.” She noticed the boy looking at her. “The dress is an old family heirloom, I just hate the idea of a dress code, don’t you?” She asked as did a small 360 degree turn.

Dieter nodded when she said that she was the daughter of Dracula. “That’s pretty cool. Yeah, that’s funny. You’re dead, but immortal.” He chuckled when she asked if his father didn’t like them because they were immortal. “Yeah, dad’s a hypocrite. He doesn’t like immortals because they can’t die, but both he and I are immortal. It’s weird.” He smiled watching her twirl. “Very nice. I see why you’d prefer the heirloom. I’m honestly alright with the uniform.” He shrugged. “What was your name? I didn’t catch it.”

Samantha thought for a moment, “I assume if you’re Death’s son, you should be able to kill things. Is this why you’re all alone over here?” She asked, “I understand wanting to be alone, where I come from people run, lock their doors, and hide their children. Dad says they’ll get over it, but two centuries have passed and it’s always the same. Not that I really care much now, of course. Being 200 years old, means I’ve stopped wanting to play with the village children, now I just enjoy freaking them out.” She smiled, “What about you? I assume your childhood was all Death all the time.”
@Ouijaloveletters ~ Dieter
Dieter nodded when she asked if he could kill people. “Yeah, but I have to actually want it. Like this.” He said, placing his hand on the grass, which died. He understood when she said she was alone. “Hey, you’ve got me now. If you want to be friends, I guess.” He said, grinning. “Yeah. All doom and gloom.”

Samantha raised an eyebrow, “Not bad, and here I thought you were doing the dramatic ‘I can never touch anyone ever again’ thing but it seems you can control it.” He offered friendship, to which Samantha shook her head, "I don’t know, Death and a Vampire, friends? People might think the world is ending."He made a joke to which Samantha scoffed. “How long do you think it’ll be before we get in trouble?”

Petra finally came to a stop-she wasn’t necessarily worn out-but she couldn’t even hear what Fern was saying. She faced the girl (who now had a head on her neck) with a timid, guilty expression on her freckled face. “I…I didn’t?” She stared at the choker curiously. She turned red when Fern said they were roommates-she believed her. “Oh…” Was all she could say, grimacing. She had made a pretty bad first impression on Fern, so this would be awkward.

Fern smiled when Petra turned to face her, nodding when she confirmed she didn’t knock her head off. “Nope. It was all my doing. Sorry for scaring you.” Fern blinked when Petra winced when she said they’d be roommates. “I’ll try to keep my choker on, I promise.” She said, placing a hand on the girl’s shoulder.

Though she wasn’t looking directly at him, she could see him out of the corner of her eye-he looked confused. And she couldn’t blame him-hopefully he would just take it as her being shy and leave her alone… She knew she had promised herself to be friendly with anyone who sat by her-she needed more friends… but easier said then done. He turned away from her momentarily-she didn’t dare look behind as well. Even though the mumbles were quiet and she couldn’t make out the words, she knew one of the voices belonged to Ace. Perhaps this boy was his friend-sent over on a dare or something. That would be awful. As she thought about this, Eudora hunched into herself. “You don’t have to pretend, you know. Your feelings are valid.” He had a soft expression as well as a calm, soft voice. She didn’t know how to react to this-she hardly felt embarrassed-it was obvious she had been lying anyways. “Well, Eudora, it’s lovely to meet you. I do hope your morning has been nice?” She grimaced a smile, and nodded-though she hadn’t seen Alya all day-how nice could it be? “…How has yours been?” She asked quietly-she was shy, not rude.

“Because I’m a nice curse,”
Jara squinted, unsure how a nice curse would work. She figured she should check the library for books on nice curses if any existed.
“What… what the hell is the Bertrum effect?”
“For one, I’d say you’re more of a benefit than a curse. Secondly, the Barnum effect is the phenomenon in which people tend to accept vague information. It’s basically why people believe in horoscopes and other vague stuff. The Barnum effect is useful for making someone think you know them even though you don’t,” Jara explained. Though she didn’t mind the mispronunciation of the effect, it did remind Jara of the person she chatted within her first period. Now she was hungry for rye bread again.
“Yeah, anytime Jara.”
The girl looked over at what Jara was rummaging, which made Jara pause momentarily.
“Whatcha looking for?”
Jara thought for a second before pulling out her notebook and looking through it. She wasn’t sure if the girl wanted to know or if she was just being nice for conversation’s sake. “Just a notebook for studying that book. I was also debating on throwing a paperback at you, however, I didn’t know if that’d give you a paper cut or not. So, better safe than sorry,” Jara answered.
“No, I can’t say I have. You?”
Jara nodded. “I have. For some reason, I prefer water travel other air travel. Just a personal preference of mine, I guess. I’d recommend it unless you get seasick easily,” Jara responded. She wasn’t sure if she should bring up how interesting grass is or not. Jara was very unsure if she could repeat conversation topics with others or if that was rude.

He nodded, but didn’t really seem content with Ace’s advice. Still, he thanked him anyways, though he sounded disappointed.“No problem.” Ace lazily stretched his arms above his head-acting oblivious to the negativity-which he kind of was. Tristan looked skeptically at him. “You beat up a girl?” He asked-the expression on his face and tone in his voice showed this was not an admirable thing to do in his eyes. Ace shook his head, sniffing a bit. “No, I wouldn’t stoop to her level.” He said casually, waving the thought away with one hand. “It just took a bit of blocks and trash-talk-she was all bark and no bite.” Ace explained, weaving a very untrue tale about Alya. He smirked when Tristan told him his name was catchy. “Tristan. Cool name.” He repeated, also giving Tristan a compliment. He paused, saying not all the girls were bad. Ace raised an eyebrow in question at this. He then went on to recall skipping a period with a girl named Porcelain, even adding-smugly-that they would be hanging out tonight. Ace visibly bristled, deeply envious-as that was obviously an innuendo. The first day and he would already be hooking up with someone tonight. She must be easy-or unnattractive-or both-what did Tristan have that Ace didn’t!? “Oh, really? Nice. What’s she like?” Ace asked curiously. The name Porcelain didn’t ring a bell.
He rolled his eyes, turning to look at the boy Ace was talking trash about. After staring for a bit, he said, "Man, he looks like he’s never even had a girlfriend, let alone had sx"* He turned back to Ace, who snorted with laughter. “He’s probably never even touched a woman. Besides his mom.” Ace added, continuing to laugh at the loser’s expense. He laughed even harder at Tristan’s next comment, “Well, all that means is we’ll be top of the class.” He said, just as smugly.

“Hi Nyana. Am I saying that right? Ny - ah - nah,” she asked, pronouncing every syllable. “Yes, parents sing… a lot. Dad more than mum.” Bobbie finally lowered her arm and stopped waving. “That’s cool that your mum sings. What does she sing? Is it the different genre of music in your castle? Sora knew he could be a little quiet and definitely shy but he was hoping that anyone that actually wanted to be their friend would get used to it or adapt. This Mare seemed nice a little loud but maybe Sora could tone them down somehow. Sora could maybe see this working out but he wasn’t sure they were something new and Sora didn’t know what to thing of their personality. Sora was still trying to get a feel for this person but they were still a little on edge not because of them but just general situations. “I was expecting my brother.” Sora admitted as he fidgeted some. Sora laughed when they asked if it was someone special. “I mean yeah but not the way I think you were expecting.” Sora was still giggling. “Well yeah I guess…” Sora admitted and shrugged smiling.
Sora understood that Mare was trying to help him with his anxiety and listened to what they said. Sora closed his eyes and listened to every word. They giggled a little about some facts that Mare was talking about but generally tried to follow the directions that they gave. Sora nodded as he pictured what Mare was saying. The only issue was they still knew where they were no amount of pretending could let them forget that. Sora opened his eyes and smiled. “Still a little anxious but I guess better to some degree Mare.” Sora admitted but shook his head. "I mean there is a bit to worry about Mare and I can’t always control what Im anxious about, Sora knew they had their heart in the right place even if it didn’t help much if at all. “Im heading to Advanced Chemythstry. You?”
Rory could tell that Aodghan was not ok but didn’t feel like it was his place to pry after all they had just met a few minutes ago. Rory smiled and giggled a little when Aodghan got so excited about Rory living in a forest. “Well my mom is red riding hood so we live in a little house in a really big forest. Its pretty nice I have most of the place mapped out.” The last part Rory admitted very proudly. Rory loved talking about the forest. Heck Rory loved talking about any forest or any aspect of nature as far as that was concerned too. Rory put his hand on Aodghan’s shoulder he didn’t know what was bothering him but could tell something was going on and Rory couldn’t take it. “Aodghan are you sure you are really ok?”
@Skyler2 I think these are the only ones that I needed to respond to still?
Calista Circe
| Outside || Dark |
Her eyes widened in anger, did he really think that she was that dull? Sure, she had no idea what on earth he was talking about. But at least she wasn’t some vague and mysterious pirate that enjoyed playing games with people. Okay, maybe that last part wasn’t exactly true. The rest, however, was on par. She didn’t say anything, only looked away.
For the first time in a while, Calista was actually curious. She listened with intent, sighing as Dark admitted the issue. She placed her left hand near her lip, trying to think of some answer. “I…” She didn’t have a potion for that. Hell, she didn’t even have any idea. That was until he placed her hand on his chest. Normally, Calista would have been infuriated. She didn’t want anyone touching her. Let alone a human. But he felt different. He wasn’t flirting, he wasn’t forcing it, and he was only proving what he was saying. She paused, not feeling any heartbeat. Then she gradually moved her hands to his neck, checking for a pulse. Like he had said… there was nothing.
She closed her eyes, taking a moment to think. “Who’s your parent?” She asked in a quiet tone, hoping that might have explained something. “And… never mind, it probably wouldn’t work. I’ve never even…” she trailed off, not bothering to finish her sentence.

Alicia Liddel
| Brooks || Chemistry |
Brooks started writing down notes and Alicia couldn’t help but feel a little dejected. Of course, she had just met this person. She had no reason to feel this way. Alicia was surprised at their offer, though appreciated it. “Thank… thank you. But I wouldn’t want to be a burden. Maybe you could just… play something for me some time instead?” Alicia offered, looking down at her notebook instead of facing the potential consequences of what she had said. “I… yes I suppose,” Was all she replied, not wanting to sound anymore foolish. They didn’t elaborate on how skipping was and while Alicia was disappointed, she didn’t pry. “Of course, I don’t need them that much anyway. I have a decent memory. I also read too much for my own good.”

Okay, Kyle was surprised at that reaction. Along with flattered. But that wasn’t the point. Especially not because there was currently a tint of pink on his pale cheeks. He kept his head high as Bertram bowed, well tilted their head. Kyle was counting it as a bow. “Well, Bertram, seeing as you are not a son of my father’s enemies,” he made this up on the spot. His father had a lot of enemies, not that Kyle cared about them. “I suppose that, if you’d like, you could sit with me. Maybe that way you’d have a chance of passing this class.”

The boy laughed at their attempt at standing up for themself, examing his bruised knuckles as Pin gulped in fear. It’s fine, they thought, just be cool. Pin kept their head held high as they spoke, “Only fools believe they know everything.” Pin had no idea what this boy’s social standing might have been, and Pin didn’t care that much either. They had been raised by General Ho Ton Hien. Well, semi-raised, but now wasn’t the time to think about that.
However, whatever fear Pin had lost in the past few seconds came back tenfold. “No, how dare you.” They spoke without thinking, speaking in a voice much louder than a hiss. They had no intentions of getting in a fight when they walked into this class, let alone their first day, but Pin would gladly make an exception. “You have no idea what she went through. What she sacrificed to take care of you, you ungrateful and spoiled brat. She left you because your witch of a “mother,” as you so choose to call her, ostracised her. The man that you were named after cheated, Thuy had nothing to do with it. So what if she didn’t raise you, maybe if she had you wouldn’t be such an insolent prat.” Pin spoke while looking into their brother’s eyes. So what if they were twins, Pin couldn’t be bothered to care about this awful human being. Their fists hung clenched by their sides, knowing deep down that they would lose whatever fight might arise.
@Acorn06 - Thuc - I am sorry
I started to chuckle when she was still waving at me for way to long.“Yes,you’re saying it right” I reassured her before I got a bombarding of questions.
"Wow, okay, let’s see if I got them all… We mostly ling Symphonic music, you know, the type that is put in movies, opera’s and musicals. Yes, I live in an castle. It’s nice since it’s like living with a big family but ither times it’s lonely when people are busy so you’re just roaming this giant building on your own"I explain. “You can say it’s close to what it feels like here, but a little bit more… Fee because you can go where you want” I explain.
“What about you, what genre do you like and where did you grew up in?” I asked.

NEISHA AND MEABH SÍDHE
Smiling at Hilda’s compliment, Neisha began rebuilding her human form back around her. Their mission would only be made harder if every person passing paused and oggled endlessly over her. As much as she would like the attention, it would be unneeded, and frankly, Neisha preferred her human form better anyways.
While the group waited for Neisha to reform, Meabh recorded Hilda when they replied to them, with handy google translating for them.
“…Thank you.” Meabh pronounced, only slightly awkwardly, with a small smile to punctuate. It would take time, but maybe English wasn’t so bad.
Neisha could still walk and talk while reforming her human form, so she took the lead, restarting the trios walk to the library, where hopefully the answer as to how she was to remove these blasted chains would present itself.
“How are you finding the school so far?” Neisha spoke, her voice now a complex mix of a feminine Irish twang along with the harsh scratching of her true form’s vocal cords. She was addressing Hilda, of course, as a tired Meabh had given up on their attempts with google. “Living up to your expectations?”
@Ouijaloveletters - Hilda
THUC KIEU SINH
Frankly, Thuc was already growing bored of this conversation, and allowed Pin’s childish attempts at an insult to flow over his head. Why should he bother with them, after all, if this kid was nothing more than a powerless and distant relative, deserving of nothing more than mild disdain? Emotive responses to his feeble attacks were uncalled for, like scolding a yapping dog twice. Once was enough. After that… well there are a great many options available. Thuc flexed his fingers slightly to punctuate his thoughts. Many options.
The Pin’s anger however, was very much uncalled for. Thuc listened with nothing more than a raised eyebrow marring his otherwise flawless expression (in his opinion at least), while inside his emotions churned like that of a boiling soup.
“I am sure that woman went through all sorts of things. I am sure she has spun many a tale to twist your mind and turn you into nothing more than a worshipping fool.” Thuc spoke dangerously quietly, not quite looking up, but rather examining his hands. After a decent pause, he did look up, dark eyes sharp with ill-disguised fury. “My question is,” he continued, refusing to blink, “Why do you care? She is nothing to you.” It was a worthy question. Here was this boy, suddenly spouting defenses for Thuc’s biological parent as if the d-mned woman should mean anything to him. Who was he?
To a trained eye, Thuc’s body position had shifted ever so slightly. Relaxed leg muscles were now tense and coiled, ready to spring into motion if provoked. His eyes, before lazy and carefree, were now sharp and calculated. Thuc would not start this fight, if it came to that, but he would not be afraid to finish it.
Hilda watched Neisha slowly turn human, smiling at Meabh when she thanked them. “Yeah, of course. You’re doing a great job. I’m not a native English speaker either.” Hilda turned to Neisha when she asked how they liked the school. “I like it. Not a fan of the uniforms, though.” They said, their tail swishing in annoyance. “So, where are we going? The library?”

Dieter laughed at her “I kill everything I touch! Stay away!” comment, laying his hand down on the grass that wasn’t dead, and nothing happened. “Yeah, I can control it, otherwise I’d be sitting in dead grass.”He chuckled when she said they shouldn’t be friends. “Oh nooooo! It’s the end of the world!” He snorted, shaking his head. He shrugged when she asked how long it should be until they were in trouble. “Who knows.”

Samantha smirked and looked at the sun that was behind a cloud. “What are they gonna do?” She scoffed, “Hold me after class in detention?” She said mockingly. “No, that would be an unfortunate mistake. Because see, the thing about me is, I have all the time in the world. They, on the other hand, have until sunset then I’ll have my full abilities back and can have some fun.” She smirked at the thought.
@Ouijaloveletters ~ Dieter
Dieter grew interested when she said she’d get her abilities back after dark. “Really? What can you do?” He asked, leaning forward in interest. He didn’t need much sleep, so maybe he could join her to see what she could do. “Do you mind if I join you? I don’t sleep much anyway.”
