I keep going back and forth between so many projects lol. I’m also getting tons of new ideas for stories. I might just wanna write them all down and brain storm.

Oh man, same! The longest story I’ve written (probably nearing 70,000 words or so…) went in the complete wrong direction I wanted it to go in and increasingly got worse and worse to the point where I just can’t write it anymore.
It’s honestly seeming more like a bad fanfiction that I can’t stop. Also the MC might be a reverse Mary Sue lol- all the bad things happen to her that probably aren’t even possible…

Yeah in the story, it’s basically and apocalypse and MC’s house gets blown up and then she gets put into a mental hospital, then she escapes, (this is at the point where everything is destroyed lol) then she wanders around for a bit, rescues a girl, the girl goes away to somewhere else, then she wanders around for a bit, gets involved with this group of heroes, decides she doesn’t want to do that anymore, wanders around for a bit then meets LI in a major disaster situation.

You see how bad that is? I can’t keep just writing that crap. It’s also bad news when you cringe every time you read something you wrote five minutes ago, then continue to keep writing…

With my MC it almost comes across as if she’s literally bored by the plot so she’s like “right imma get up and wander over here now for literally no rhyme or reason”
Like there are reasons but they don’t logically make sense… like she’s looking for her parents who she goes back and forth on whether they’re dead or not, and she doesn’t want to stay and ask for help because she doesn’t trust anyone yet she goes back and forth between trusting people and staying with people and then suddenly leaving.
It’s a mess.

like one of my story ideas one time when I was younger is that there was the mc who had the ability to gain 5 superpowers a day, and she fights supervillians everyday and wins-

My first story was called “Tommy and the Dream Train” about a boy who gets stuck in this dreamland and asks a clown (whose a janitor) for help and so the clown and him eventually find a way out of Dreamland on a magical unicorn. This is all because he has to go on a train to visit his grandma which he doesn’t want to do.

And I always think with these ideas that they’re gonna be bestsellers. :joy: EVERYTIME!

I have a serious problem.
I have the tendency to recycle characters and names.
With my current story, for example, I named the MC the same name as an MC from another story.
But this is a completely different story, and it’ll probably be on a different platform because it won’t have any choices or CC. So I don’t think it’ll work on Episode. So maybe it’ll have different readers who won’t know my other story.

I joined Nanowrimo, too.
