Getting told i should dress nicer since im a āyoung woman.ā Instead of wearing PJs/Robes at home or an army jacket/pants/converse in public. Theres no point in dressin up every time i go somewhere just cuz im a girl.

Story + Why I wanted to make this thread
Yeahh my oldest brother (whoās 27) was mad at my mom cause I wasnāt able to go to his fourth of July party with him and his soon to be wife (who is amazing and I love her <3) cause of period pain. I had told My sister in law that I was gonna go, but that was before I got my period, so the next day I told her about it and explained all my pain (cause I have a really shitty period) and she said she was sad but that itās okay. A few hours later I tell my mom that Iām not gonna go and then my brother texts her cause he thinks she has something to do with me not going (she had nothing to do with my decision) so he texts her and I call him from her phone and explain to him my pain and he says āWell what are you gonna do later in life? You canāt miss 4 days of work cause your on you period.ā And I had to tell him that my period is not always this bad (I literally couldnāt move without feeling like I was gonna pass out) and so he kept ranting about how I canāt use my period as an excuse every time I didnāt want to do something (this was the first time I had to use the period cardā¦But okay.) and yeah, after the call ended, period emotions came and I started cryingā¦ Good times 
I would also like to add that he said multiple times that he doesnāt know everything about periods. Even tho he compared me to my mom who had a light period, no cramps, and was a bit emotional. Iām medium to heavy, I have cramps so bad I canāt move, and Iām pretty much bi polar on my period So there are some differences lmao
