I dunno what flan is
It’s a dessert. Mainly known as creme caramel.
Oh I actually had that once. Mmm
Ikr so yummy
So I haven’t been super consistent in meeting my goals (I blame France with its good cheese and bread and butter), but I figured it’s Monday, time to kick-start something again, so I did the first day of Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred.
It’s only 18 minutes (not including warm up/cool down), but really gets your heart pumping. I used to watch it on youtube, but the link I had stopped working, but here are the exercises written down in case anyone’s interested.
You’re supposed to do this for 10 days, then progress up to level 2 for the next ten, and then level 3 for the final ten.
Honestly, I’ve never gotten through a whole cycle (I stop around 10 haha) but every time I do it, I notice a huge difference in my endurance between the first 1-3 days and the last 8-10, and usually my physique (if I eat healthy).
I’m going to try to keep myself accountable and continue doing it, with this thread’s help, so wish me luck!
30 day shred, level 1
- Circuit one strength (3 minutes): 30 seconds of push ups, 1 minute of squat and press and repeat
- Circuit one cardio (2 minutes): 30 seconds of jumping jacks, 30 seconds of jump rope, and repeat
- Circuit one abs (1 minute): 30 seconds crunches, 30 seconds reverse crunches
- Circuit two strength (3 minutes): 30 seconds dumbell row, 1 minute static lunge with bicept curl, and repeat
- Circuit two cardio (2 minutes): 30 seconds butt kicks, 30 seconds punches (my favorite!) and repeat
- Circuit two abs (1 minute): side crunches
- Circuit three strength (3 minutes): 30 seconds chest flies, 1 minute anterior raises and side lunges, and repeat
- Circuit three cardio (2 minutes): 30 seconds of each of the previous cardio moves
- Circuit three abs (1 minute): bicycle crunches
Trigger warning, don’t un-blur if you don’t want to hear stuff about restrictive/disordered eating:
I’m also trying to get back into intermittent fasting because I find narrowing my window for eating helps me snack and eat less junk, but I find it very difficult to do on the weekends. So during the week, I just do 16 hour fast (which basically means I have to eat earlier than a normal french person and then I skip breakfast and I’m not usually hungry in the morning anyway) and then have 8 hours to get all my nutrients for the day, which is doable with a healthy lunch and dinner. I use the app Zero to track this. I don’t consider this disordered eating, but it is more restrictive than is healthy for some, so you have to find a balance for yourself.
For me, I’m trying to find a balance between disordered eating (which I have done in the far past when I was dancing ballet), and eating healthily without stress. I feel like I’m mostly finding a balance, if veering on the side of eating too much so as not to descend into disordered eating. I did go to a French doctor and he told me to lose some weight (not a lot, but still feels like a failure since I’m a perfectionist), which was sh*tty to hear (I mean, I feel like it’s never a surprise that you’re overweight, you usually know), but it’s a doable amount of weight to lose, slowly, healthily, and I think I’m on my way but I don’t own a scale, so I’m going for how I feel/look, not a number on the scale.
So I did Day 2 yesterday but I’m super lazy today but I’m gonna do it now since it’s only 18 mins!
It looks like a strange exotic plant
I love it
It looks like the top of a giant cupcake!
I wish cupcakes were healthy
Me too!
I should try and eat. I haven’t eaten anything since the morning, but everything tastes bad…
For those who are interested in these topics:
Bump.
I’m not gonna lie, I had a full English breakfast this morning, and now I feel bad!
But I lost so much weight that I need to get my favourite trousers taken in, so that’s a plus!
Nice, I guess.
If we already talk about losing weight, today my English teacher told me that it seems like I lost weight …
(But I didn’t have any goal of losing weight, since I already have a thin body.)
Bump
I’m happy with my weight and with how my body looks right now although some people still tell me that I am fat…
Playing tennis made me lose some weight and I feel fitter now, but I guess some people will never stop telling me that I should lose some more weight…
I wouldn’t call myself fit. I never play sport, have a terribly unhealthy diet and rarely sleep. My dad said to put on weight I should eat more eggs and stuff, but at the same time, I don’t feel like it. I absolutely despise eggs.
I want to stop wasting my life, though, and do something productive. I feel lazy most of the time and I know I could achieve better things if I tried.
I lost 13kg since September
