Life was once normal for all who lived in and around the city of Solare, but one day, that all changed. What caused the storm, no one could be certain. A solar flare during a solar eclipse, some unintended result of the experiment occurring within the lab at the center of the city at that time, or perhaps the rare comet that passed by the earth at that very time had something to do with what happened. Whatever it was, there was no way anyone could have prepared for what was to come. The skies turned to unnatural shades of purple and green, great bolts of lightning struck, rain poured, and the wind blew through the city, but just as quickly as the unnatural storm came on, it dissipated, just as the eclipse was over. Many were injured, reported as missing, or even killed, but the greatest impact of the event, which would later be known as the cataclysm, wasn’t immediate.

Soon after the cataclysm, individuals with unnatural abilities began to emerge. Enhanced speed, super strength, and manipulation of electricity, just to name a few. As these enhanced individuals began to appear, crime rates rose, but with criminals came those who wanted to do good and now had the power to do something about it. In some cases, even the do-gooders couldn’t stop the criminals, but other times there was success. However, in either case, trying to stop the criminal caused more harm than the criminal had even done in committing the crime.

Fear, that’s what drove the research into these powered individuals. In the research, it was discovered that all enhanced individuals have one trait in common. They all have a large amount of what they called Quantum particles, in their body. However, there was no way to eliminate the Quantum particles, they were in the blood, bonding to the DNA, and the enhancement was permanent. To control the situation, a law was put into place, requiring that everyone in the city be screened for Quantum particles, and everyone, no matter the circumstances, with the Quantum particles in their system above the specified value would be placed into a camp, a prison just outside of the city modified for the situation, whether they exhibited any sign of enhanced abilities or not.

KPOP.

A billion dollar industry that exploded from South Korea and spread internationally. Everyone wants to be an idol these days but do they have what it takes? Can they train daily, deal with harsh pressures of the Korean Idol industry and the harsh remarks of the fans worldwide? It’s not for the weak. Thousands of kpop groups debut each year but only the top 1% can become well known and loved, the rest fade in the background, never to be known and to be left with an insane amount of debt. However, it seems you’re different. One way or another you have landed yourself to be a trainee within STARBLACK entertainment. Some of you are new, others have been training for years. Some of you are popular pre-debut, some have debuted and still are unknown within the industry. Either way thanks to explosion of one of STARBLACK’s female girl groups, SOLAR, the entire company has been given more money and resources to put into their trainees, kpop groups and solo artists. But this also comes with higher standards and higher expectations and a new spotlight on many. Will you soar to be a world-renowed star or will you fall short?

so basically, you’re either a debuted kpop idol (soloist or within a group) or trainee within STARBLACK entertainment trying to navigate life and find your success. there will be a lot of drama and this is based on the current kpop industry and how tough it is. it’s going to be really detailed and I’m going to make it as immersive as possible with plenty of roles open to play. I’m still planning this out and want it to be fully planned out before I launch it so it can roll smoothly so depending on how much I procrastinate sign ups can open next week or sign ups can open months from now. You can never be sure of your roommates’ weird quirks, annoying habits, and secret activities. After all, they always look so amicable when you meet them for the first time. Hello, my beautiful people! As you can see, the premise is simple. The RP is about roommates trying to cope with each other while also facing the pressure of adulthood. It’s supposed to be funny, relatable, and very chill! It doesn’t require an elaborate plot, dramatic characters, and lots of worldbuilding. I think that it’s a good start for new RPers. But the more experienced ones can have a fun time as well! Of course, if you want to have some more heavy elements added to your characters’ storyline, go for it! 14 single contestants will have the chance to live for the next few months on a luxury island off the coast of Fiji. They think they are here to find someone they can form a romantic connection with or even just meet some new friends. Maybe some are using this for fame and the winning prize or some genuinely want to find someone to spend their life with. But there is a twist they don’t know about, their ex may just appear on the island with them also to mix things up.

So, how will this work? The first 14 contestants will be on a reality show to find love and potentially a cash prize. They don’t know about the twist of their exes coming to the island they just think they are going to be having the time of their lives.

The Forgotten Realm consists of five kingdoms: Augarith, Dupatta, Iravia, Kohl, and Xorin. The entire continent is at war with mysterious groups who continue attacking the Kingdoms. It’s unclear why or who they are, however, the groups seem to be working together, in some capacity.
Your character will be a part of a small group of thieves who live in Kohl. Each character has their own unique ability. Everyone’s opinion is equal and no official leader has been titled.
This SG will contain fighting, puzzles, riddles, and strategy, along with a carefully constructed plot that I will try my best to make interesting.

I know this doesn’t offer a lot of information, but a lot of this story depends on the characters you make. They will each have their own storylines and I also don’t want to spoil too much of the story. Here’s the slide for anyone who may want more information.

This will be a small SG (5-10 characters). There are 10 character archetypes altogether (though some can be combined), and if you show interest (how is stated below), you’ll be informed what those archetypes are. It may be a while before this gets going, but for now, I just want a group of people who are interested in actually joining this SG. Are You the One?

Season Ten

This is the tenth season of Are You the One that I may be making! You do not have to have participated in any of the previous seasons to participate in this one; all the characters are new.

This RP is based off of the MTV reality dating show of the same name. Basically, each character is matched up with another character who is supposedly their perfect match and fits most of what they want in a partner. However, the characters (and the RPers) do not know who is matched with who. The characters will compete in challenges every week to determine which couples will be going on a date. From there, one couple on the date will be chosen to go into the truth booth, which will tell the characters if that couple is a perfect match or not. The next day, the characters will have a match ceremony and sit with the character they believe is their perfect match. Then they will be told how many perfect matches are sitting together. The RP will end once all the perfect matches are sitting together at the ceremony or after a certain amount of weeks has passed.

Welcome to season eight of Are You The One, a reality show in which twenty-six competitors will compete in hopes of finding love and winning a million-dollar prize. All competitors will have a perfect match, but they will not know who it is, as their goal is to find their perfect match. This season takes place in Cape Town.

In this roleplay, each week will be three RP days. Each RP day will equal two days in real life. (Although I may change this if the RP moves very slowly or quickly)

During the first day, there will be a competition and there will be two (sometimes three and maybe only one) winners. The winners will be able to choose who they want to take on a date unless it’s one of the weeks where someone else chooses for them. (I am not sure if I will be doing that this season or not though) After the competition, all of the contestants will socialize in the house.

During the second day, the date will take place and the other contestants will socialize in the house. The rest of the contestants will also choose which couple on the date they want to send into the truth booth, which will reveal if the couple is a perfect match or not. The chosen couple will then get in the booth when they get back from their date and if they are a perfect match they will spend one last night with the other contestants before going off to the honeymoon suite. If they are not a perfect match, they will have to try to move on to continue on in the search of their perfect match.

During the third day, the contestants will socialize and get ready for the match ceremony at night. Each week either the girls or guys will have their pick of who they want to sit with at the ceremony. There will then be thirteen lights and every light represents a perfect match. The number of lights that are lit is how many perfect matches are sitting together at the ceremony.

There may be other events that take place during the days, such as parties and additional challenges.

The goal of the game is that by the end of thirteen weeks all thirteen lights will be on. If they are, the million-dollar prize will split in between all the contestants. If they are not, they will walk away with nothing.

Rules:
-Turn notifications on for this thread!
-Write at least 5-6 sentences per character!
-If your character is approachable, make them approach another approachable character, don’t just wait for some to approach your character or just post that they’re approachable if you know others are too!
-You must be active! (Please have about a conversation (at least five posts on your part in response to the same character) per character a day!)
-If you have multiple characters, do not neglect some of them and only focus on certain characters!
-Make sure to keep the roleplay dramatic, so add drama!
-If you are not active for longer than two days without letting me know beforehand, your characters may be put up for adoption! Your character can also be put up for adoption if I decide that you are not active enough! I will most likely be doing a warning system this season.
-Let me know if you are going away! (PM me or let me know in the sign-up/chat thread)
-No contact with the outside world is allowed. (Unless permitted by Terrence, the host, but you’d have to ask me first)
-No electronic devices are allowed unless they are already in the house like the TV, but there is nothing on the TV for the characters to watch.
-No books, music, animals, or most things from the outside world are allowed. (ask me if you are unsure if something would be allowed in the house)
-Characters may not leave the area of the house unless they have permission. (From me. For challenges, dates, etc)
-Once your character has found their perfect match in the truth booth and goes to the hotel, they will only be playable at the light ceremony.
-Sex is allowed (In the show there’s actually a room called the boom boom room which is in the roleplay), but obviously no graphic details! After clothes are off, either you take it to a PM or just time skip!
-Blur curse words!
-DO NOT share details about your characters with anybody else. The only thing you’re allowed to share is whatever is on the faceclaims. Do not share their personality or biography or interests or what they’re looking for in a person. The reason for this is that then it might be easier to determine who is a perfect match which ruins the whole point of the roleplay. The purpose is to discover what the other characters are like yourself instead of being told.
-When you roleplay, please try to stay with what you wrote and don’t change your characters’ personalities because if you do, their perfect match won’t be as compatible with them. If you need your character’s personality or bio or something, you can PM @Littlefeets, the matchmaker!
Do not tell me any information about your characters though. If you need anything else that doesn’t have to do with your characters’ personalities or the matches, PM me.
-If you are not writing in character, write OOC (Out of Character) or ORP. (Out of Roleplay) Blurring the OOCs is preferable. Try to avoid writing out of character and just type whatever you want to say in the sign-up thread/chat. I’m the only one that can break this rule.
-Do not advertise your own RPs/SGs/any of that on here or the sign-up thread!

A D&D Campaign

There has been an announcement around the world, making everyone hyped and intrigued. A new virtual video game has sent out a challenge to any who are interested in attempting it to win ONE BILLION DOLLARS each. What’s the catch? Death! If you lose the game, not only will you lose any chance of winning the money, but it will lead to your actual death too.

If you accept the challenge, you will be virtually transported inside this new game and take on the persona of level one game character. Then you and three(?) others, also competing with you, must make it through the many many levels to beat the game and return to real-life; rich and alive!

So this will function like you’re playing D&D, but you don’t have to know anything about playing. It can be explained as you go.

Hunger Games

The Hunger Games trilogy takes place in an unspecified future time, in the dystopian,[post-apocalyptic nation of Panem, located in North America, The country consists of a wealthy Capitol city, located in the Rocky Mountain) surrounded by twelve (originally thirteen) poorer districts ruled by the Capitol. The Capitol is lavishly rich and technologically advanced, but the districts are in varying states of poverty. Where people regularly die of starvation. As punishment for a past rebellion against the Capitol (called the “Dark Days”), in which District 13 was destroyed, one boy and one girl from each of the twelve remaining districts, between the ages of 12 and 18, are selected by lottery to compete in an annual pageant called the Hunger Games. The Games are a televised event in which the participants, called “tributes”, are forced to fight to the death in a dangerous public arena. The winning tribute and his or her home district are then rewarded with food, supplies, and riches. The purposes of the Hunger Games are to provide entertainment for the Capitol and to remind the districts of the Capitol’s power and its lack of remorse or forgiveness for the failed rebellion of the current competitors’ ancestors

While the plot will be slightly different and hopefully have a spin-off if we make it that far I’m gauging if people would like a laid back, slightly bloody Hunger Games RP. I’m planning to have it start mid-late July or early August.

Ok I know this is probably not the right place but I dont know where else to post this so that it is seen by a majority of the RPers on here. Anyway with a down fall in activity I want start an RP that will hopefully get people engaged. I have heard more than a few people say they just dont like the concepts that are being proposed as ideas. With that said I want to see what kinds of things people like in an RP and what they dont. The following link is a google form with just a few open ended questions to get a better idea or what everyone likes best. I plan on leaving this up for a bit and then taking this to try and make an rp that will keep online engagement numbers up or at least help numbers be a little bit better. I would really really appreciate if everyone could fill this out so we could get a solid idea.

What makes a great RP

I’ve been kicking around this idea of Bridgerton meets superpowers…

So far I have a meteor that breaks up into four parts upon entering the atmosphere and each one lands in a different place which gives different powers.

The first group is those with psychic powers: Telekinesis, Telepathy, Technopathy, etc. They excel at court politics as well as espionage. Outside of their own province, they are in high demand as advisors and war strategists.

The second group is those with magical abilities: Evocation, Necromancy, Abjuration, Divination, Conjuration, etc. The meteor fragment that landed here gave it’s people the ability to connect to the once dormant energy that runs through the Earth and allow them to draw on that energy in the form of magic.

The third group is by far the richest of the four provinces. This province was given the powers of manipulation, they could manipulate the physical world and its properties. Powers here range from waterbreathing to matter transmutation (like turning lead into gold…) They are in high demand as builders, manual labor, and of course treasurers.

The fourth province is those gifted powers relating to physiology. They are excellent warriors as they can give themselves traits of beasts or even transform into them. Also in this province are those whose own physiology was enhanced (5 senses, turning their skin to steel, etc)

I thought it would be interesting given the time period as well as the romance angle. I would like to do a series kind of thing since I don’t actually have a plot yet… () “Season 1” would be about getting to know the characters and it’ll end when they all get married (just like in Bridgerton. Preferable age late teens early 20’s). Then season two could be about a civil war or whatever. Basically your choices matter.

For a while now I’ve been reminiscing about a few RPs I was in both here and on the old Episode forums and I came to realize that most RPs I joined that I enjoyed playing the most were either fantasy or survival (like being marooned etc) So I thought the best thing to do would be to make a survival story that’s set in a fantasy setting. Love Finder

Contestants live together for # of months to win money by dating and causing heartbreak! You gain hearts (aka points) by going on dates AND by rejecting others! The more hearts you have, the more money you’ll win!

Each week there is a challenge where the winners can gain special bonuses/powers, which can affect how you (and the other contestants) can gain and/or lose hearts.

Following the challenge, an event is held where contestants anonymously choose who to ask out. The decisions will then be revealed and everybody will know who picked who, who got rejected, and who chose each other.

Finally, the couples who successfully chose each other during the event will all go on a date, leaving everybody else at home.

At the end of the # months, the money will be distributed amongst the contestants depending on their heart scores.

Separated into 4 houses, it encourages not only teamwork but healthy competition. House of Caesar, House of Pysche, House of Cleopatra and House of Quetzalcoatl although for the time being focus your eyes on this House: House of Caesar.

Formed for the proud athletes that hold boldness and cunning. Whether athletes of the body or mind, they all hold common traits: strength, stubbornness and noble – causing their predecessors to name their house after one of the strongest and influential men in Rome in addition to boasting to be the oldest House to exist within Kalopsia Academy. Welcome to their story.

The students within the House of Caesar (and the rest of the houses) return to Kalopsia Academy after a long summer break as rivalrous and excited as ever. As tradition calls, the week back is filled with festivities and competition, including the infamous basketball games, cheer competitions and more. House of Caesar boasts their streaks of wins, however unaccounted events may not only derail their return to school, but also their lives. Kalopsia Academy having been slapped to Pluto’s door relies on these students to save them – or else they’re all doomed.

House of Caesar will be a RP with heavy SG elements. The goal of this RP is for the students within House of Caesar to solve a mystery involving the supernatural, roman mythology + culture and clues. SGing will be used a lot here, I’ll be SGing some classes that happens and various activities that go on through the RP but I will make sure to do it in a timely manner and make sure you have your chance to roleplay!

The vacation of a lifetime, a three week transpacific cruise from Seattle, Washington in the United States to Sydney, Australia. Some saved up to pay for a luxurious vacation, others won free tickets, and then there were those who worked on the cruise. Nobody expected anything to go wrong. Who could have expected a sudden storm to push the ship off course, let alone for the ship to sink. With many passengers lost to the sea, some survived, stranded with no way to get home. With no way to call for help, or even knowing where they are, the castaways have to find a way to survive together for as long as it takes for them to be found. However in an unknown environment anything, or anyone, could be hidden in the shadows.

In this RP the characters will all have been on the ship and are now stranded on an unknown island. They will have to work together to survive whatever dangers there may be. Whether they get along or not, they are all anyone has.

I will watch through the RP, noting everything the characters do, even things like when/how they eat and drink water. I want to keep things realistic. Their primary focus is to survive and they will want to be rescued, but that doesn’t mean they can’t explore and see what mysteries the island holds.

With this revamp, I have made updates to future plans and behind the scenes details, which includes how I will now also be instituting a dice rolling system. There may be times where I will have you as the RPer roll 1 or more dice in the chat thread, or I myself will roll. This will add an element of random chance, which could help the characters find helpful resources, or cause potential harm.

Welcome to Camp Violet. This is a Roleplaying Game using the framework of the Kids on Bikes TTRPG. If you have any questions on how that system works, I’d be glad to answer them. Or you can watch a video online.

This is a Horror/Mystery RP, I only have slots for 4 campers and 4 counselors- and each person only gets one character, so create wisely.

A basic rundown of how this will work is your characters will go about camp lives while also dealing with and encountering dangerous forces. Whether you decide to try to make sense of it all or hide away till camp is over, that is up to you. At camp violet, there are no wrong answers… only deadly ones.

This camp is not a forgiving one, death can swoop down upon anyone at any moment. Nowhere is safe, trust not even yourself.

Hey guys! I’m back with 2 different RP ideas! One of them is a brand new idea, with a bit of inspiration from other RPs I’ve seen, but the other is one that a few others have tried to do before me, but I’m really hoping that this time’s the charm.

The Wishmaster

There comes a point in each person’s life when they decide what they truly want in their life. A time when they seem to understand who they are and know who they want to be. Anyone may develop this understanding of themselves over the years, but for many that clarity comes with a certain moment in their lives, when they go to meet the Wishmaster.

The Wishmaster is a omnipotent being responsible for granting the deepest desires of the people they help. At different times in a person’s life, they get the call. For some, its in their teenage years, but for others the call may not come until they are in their 80s or older. For some, they die before their time to meet the Wishmaster. When the call comes, each person will see a dark mark form on their left wrist, a symbol unique to them, and within a few days the trial begins.

When a group of individuals receives their call, the Wishmaster will create a trial for them, to see who they are, and allow the individuals to better understand themselves. No two trials are the same. For some, the trials are said to be a harsh, traumatic experience, while others are said to be peaceful, almost relaxing and meditative. Though few can truly understand what happens without experiencing it themselves. Once the trial is complete, the Wishmaster is responsible for making their dreams come true and setting them on a new path for their life.

Now, it’s time for a new group of individuals to receive their call to meet the Wishmaster, not knowing what lies in store for them.

The characters are supposed to figure out who they are, and uncover what it is they truly wish for in life. With this in mind, when you sign up, you won’t know all of your character’s details. You will create their personality, and determine some of the details, but I will create their background.

The Selection

Years ago, after the Third World War, the nation of Illea was founded. The country was formed from what was once the United States, and encompassed the remainder of North America. With a new country ruled by a monarchy, a new society came to be. Illea was split into 35 provinces, and a caste system was initiated. The caste system defines the lives of everyone in Illea. What caste you are decides what you can do, what opportunities you’ll have, and how others will view you. At the top, there’s the Ones, the royal family themselves, leading all the way to the lowest caste, the Eights, the homeless and those considered to be a drain on society. Your caste is who you are, and there’s little hope for changing that, unless a female were to marry into her husband’s caste, or a man were to be drafted into the military. However, there’s another way that only comes once in a generation. The Selection.

When the prince of Illea comes of age, the Selection begins. One girl between the ages of 16 and 20 is randomly selected from each province to come to the palace where they will have the opportunity to win the prince’s heart and become his wife and the princess of Illea. The only question is, which girl will win?

10 men, 10 women. Each of them trying to find love in this experiment. Throughout the course of two weeks, they will all go on dates with each other. They are trying to find out if the one for them is there. The twist? They have no idea what the other people they are dating look like. The dates take place in so-called pods, and they can only hear each other’s voices. The goal? Finding that emotional connection with someone. A connection that is ultimately strong enough for marriage. They cannot see each other face-to-face until one of them proposed, and the other said yes. The couples who are engaged will go on a holiday together, live together, meet the family, and ultimately, they will decide whether they want tie the knot and get married, or end up heartbroken at the altar.
