Lengthy Disclaimer That I Recommend You Read:
This is just a pitch, but as of now I plan on hosting this RP if enough active people are interested. If I do not host this RP I will give a clear indication of that and let someone else take the idea if they please. If not enough people are interested or people think the RP is too advanced, I will most likely not host this RP and think of something else. I am open to suggestions as always, I tried to patch over all of the loopholes in this RP but if you notice any discrepancies please tell me. My main concern with this RP is the points system being too much so if you think the points system is f*cked then please let me know. If you are thinking to yourself โMouschi youโre going to disappear next month why are you hosting an RPโ, I promise to be as active as possible, if something comes up I will let you guys know. I am looking for someone to help me co host because I can not make aesthetic FCs and in the case that someone needs to run the RP momentarily for me. I am one person and I have been staring at this RP for days so I may not notice certain things. Any comments / questions / concerns can be PMed to me. I have a lot planned for this RP and am excited to hear your thoughts. Thank you for reading my pitch!
Today went like any other day should, you followed your typical Wednesday routine, working, running errands, and everything else you normally do. Perhaps you are the type to grab a latte at the cafe on the corner, or maybe you prefer the avocado toast from the restaurant down the street. Whatever the case, you live precariously in your little bubble of security that could pop at any given moment.
In the bustling streets of the Big Apple, itโs hard to familiarize every face of the hundreds who pass by you. It is even harder to pinpoint exactly where you may have seen a particular face, if it even is the same person.
In your big city experience, you have learned to keep to yourself, outside of your friends, you walk alone. Each step you take is purely by habit, no thought behind your eyes. You make for an easy target.
You never quite notice that one face that keeps reappearing, the one that was always there, watching you. You may have locked eyes once, but her face rings no bells, and you canโt help but wonder why that is. She peeks at you from behind her book, or maybe you catch a glimpse of her through a window. She was always watching, but your mind becomes foggy each time you think about it too hard.
Her appearance is distinct, two red slashes run across her right eye like a marking. She looks out of place, and nobody seems to see her but you. And in a blink of an eye, sheโs gone.
Every time you see her, you are reminded that her face is strikingly familiar to you, but why? You canโt seem to recall.
On this very Wednesday, she appears again, her face wiped of expression. Her eyes seem to speak to you, urging you to come closer. You take only one step towards her, but she vanishes, in the place she was standing, a card.
You donโt remember picking up the card, but it is now face up in your hand. Before you read it, you try to figure out where the card even came from. To your knowledge, you were just walking down the street, on your way to pick up a vanilla latte and suddenly an invitation appeared in your hand.
When you return to your apartment, you read the invite with a perplexed look. You have never heard of said show, and so you look it up online. Dozens of articles, videos, and photos populate, depicting a Love Island type reality series. You click on a cute Instagram post of previous contestants, a blonde woman leaning against a tall man with her hand on his chest. Itโs an engagement announcement. The post below it showed a couple, two women, holding up an oversized check with $2,341,900 USD written on it.
Your eyes beam at the idea, and after reading several articles and scrolling through social media, you text the number on the card. Not even a minute after you hit send you already have a response. You have been sent an application.
You lean back in your chair, satisfied after clicking send on the application. You get an email shortly thereafter. It reads:
Welcome to The Perfect Match!

Rules, Character Creation, and Additional Information:
-
The prize pool does increase throughout the RP.
-
I recommend not making more than 3 players but you are allowed to make up to 4.
-
The amount of points required to win is subject to change at the audienceโs discretion.
-
You may not make more than 2 players of the same gender (exceptions can be made please message me).
-
All players must be aged 18 - 30.
-
In order to keep things balanced and allow room for people becoming inactive, I will allow new players after the RP has started.
-
Players made after the start of the RP will be defaulted to the statistics of the player(s) who have the least couple points / lowest audience rating.
-
There are no additional roles outside of being a player / show contestant (unless you decide to co-host, then you can be a show assistant or producer).
-
Posts must be at least 5 sentences, failure to do so will inhibit your ability to gain Couple Points and / or change your Audience Rating.
-
I highly encourage well developed / longer posts, it will be easier for the Game Master (me) to issue points.
-
Your character must have at least one secret (make it juicy and do not make it public to everyone).
-
This RP does not take place in NYC but your players must have a reason to be in NYC on January 15th.
-
Obviously, all players must be single at the time they go to the show.
-
Killing other players is allowed with the permission of the creators and I must be notified prior to said killing.

Reserves will be required for this RP, to reserve, state the gender, age, and sexuality of the player.
