Ezra tried to take deep breaths and calm himself down. He relaxed into Braxton feeling his fingers tangled into Ezra’s hair. Ezra had always felt so safe with Braxton and now was no exception to that. Ezra heard Braxton say he had an idea and looked up at him confused. “What are you thinking?” he asked sitting up a little extremely confused what Braxton was thinking.
“You heal fast so I would bet you will be healed up for the first game. Im glad you still get to at least participate some at practice and you are not just sitting around watching everything.” Killian smiled at Leo and reached for his hand. “Any transfers or freshman that you think have some real potential?” He asked as he let the water of the shower warm up and run while they talked. @ChayChay05
Luca had changed into some shorts and a t-shirt to do some conditioning and running in the gym since practice hadn’t started yet. “What?” Luca asked confused as a girl began to tell him that she wanted to be alone. “I didn’t realize you were in here I was just going to run a bit but if you don’t want to be bothered I can leave. Its just usually pretty empty in here around this time. I wont interrupt you but if you really want I can find somewhere else you were here first.” Luca said standing awkwardly in the door holding his water bottle and with one foot in the gym and the other still outside the door. He really was confused by this girl but she seemed upset and he didn’t want to upset her more especially since he didn’t know her. “Im Luca Moreau if knowing my name makes any difference.” He said still not moving until he heard from her that he could either stay or needed to leave. @Bluecookies
Braxton smiled at Ezra… “Well something you don’t know. My mom is actual a Foster licensed mom. So what if I talk to her about keeping your sister?” He wanted Ezra to know his sister was safe and couldn’t think of a better way to make that happen for him.
Leo smiled. “Actually I haven’t many any of them yet. I saw them today but didn’t talk to them. So, ask me that again in a few days.” He chuckled. He was so ready for this shower with Killian.
Koda
Classes were done and I decided go for a run. I went back to my room and changed and then went for my run. As I el was running I saw one of my best friend piper and I decided to go over to her. “Hey pipes how are you?”
Piper acknowledged me and answered my question and of course had to use my nickname. “Hey don’t say that out loud you know I have a reputation and I can’t have people think i’m nice even at a new school. I like having people be scared of me. But i’m good though Pipes, just walking around you know”.
“Thanks for coming. Ready to get out of here and eat some pancakes?” Eve waved her hand dismissively, “I’m literally starving. Let’s go.” But as she led the way, she wondered if that had been too direct. Too… back to normal. She matched her pace to Liv as they walked to breakfast. “So, how was practice?” she asked as casually as she could, walking side by side.
Piper “Fun fun. How was classes?” She asked as they walked. She missed him and roux so much today. She couldn’t believe they hve all been best friends so long.
“practice was pretty good. How was your day? And your practice?” Evelyn subtly looked away from Livs smile. “Class was ehh, nothing special. But practice was great. Although…” She shook her head, changing her mind. “I uhh, pushed really hard today. It felt great, considering I honestly hadn’t practiced that much this summer, so getting back into the groove was nice. I’m excited to destroy the other schools though,” She said with a slight smile and infliction in her voice. She was half joking. Swimming was fun, but Evelyn had discovered she really liked winning best.
Liv smiled at Eve. “Well that’s good that practice was good. Winning is always fun.” Liv smiled at her as they reached their destination. “Yay pancake time” Liv opened the door for Evelyn
As they stepped into the cozy diner, the familiar smell of syrup and fresh coffee enveloped them. The warm atmosphere felt welcoming, but an undercurrent of tension lingered between them. They slid into a booth by the window, and Eve looked out. “Remember when we used to come here after practice on Thursdays?”
Liv smiled as they sat at their normal booth. She took in the smell of the sweet syrup and the coffee. “of course I remember Eve, I’m so excited for this.” she smiled at Eve as they waited to be helped.
“Well, it wasn’t bad to be honest. It was a little rough though. However, it was fun in the end. I’m glad you came over.” Ken took Rodney’s hand as he listened, looking up to Rodney. Totally not stumbling over the eye contact. “How was your day? I know a few classes were good. Maybe tomorrow we can sit together in those classes?” Ken watched as Rodney looked away to direct them. He let him lead the way, be in charge. “For sure. How many classes are we in together? To be honest I was trying to make sure I got from point A to point B on time.”[/color] he said honestly. He swung there interlaced hands gently back and forth. “I’m sorry i didn’t see you in them.”

Ezra looked up at Braxton and his eyes were wide. “I knew you had mentioned it before and that was how I got to stay with you guys for a while when I ran off last summer.” He took a deep breath. “Do you think she would be willing to take Thea? I mean that would give me a huge piece of mind because your mom is amazing and I trust your mom she makes me feel safe to be there.” Ezra was hopeful and didnt want to get his hopes up but really wanted to stay here but also needed to know Thea was safe. @ChayChay05
Killian nodded. “Well Im sure one will catch your eye there seems to always be one really good player every year.” Killian smiled and got into the shower with Leo
Robin nodded when Mateo said he left his helmet. It seemed like a normal excuse, not that he needed one to be there. “Really? You can’t get a new helmet if you lose yours or if it gets damaged? Never figured they were that expensive, but then again I’ve … never played.” Robin nervously spoke while clutching his drawings so Mateo wouldn’t look at them.
Robin thought what would follow his response would be either an awkward silence or awkwards small talk, but he never could’ve guess what actually happened next. Out of nowhere Mateo asked Robin to hang out. But to Robin it felt like Mateo’s tone of voice and the inflictions … that he was asking for something more and that’s why even though to somebody else it might’ve seemed like a freind asking another friend to hang out, to Robin it was somethin shocking but delightful at the same time. That’s why when Mateo muttered out those words, Robin’s brain went to mush for a single second, and therefore it forgot it was holding drawings and as Robin blushed his hand mellowed their grip on the papers. The drawings instantly fell to the ground as Robin’s hands softened the grip and some of them flew into the air by the momentum. Robin quickly said “Yes … I would love that.” and he bent down to pick up the papers before Mateo could see, although it was already a lost cause because Mateo would’ve noticed them and seen the drawings long before Mateo had time to pick up half of them. The most important thing to Robin was to make sure to pick up all drawings of Mateo so he wouldn’t realize that most of the drawings Robin made that day were of Mateo and very few of any other player.
@bpalmer - if Mateo helps Robin pick them up he’d see a lot of drawings of himself and other players
Koda
Piper asked how classes were for him. Koda never really liked school and he almost did drop out before coming here but he knew he needed to protect Piper and Roux but mainly Piper because of who she was in case anyone found out. “Classes are classes Pip. Boring and pointless. At least my mean guy streak is still credible as I was an ass to this girl at lunch, but I don’t remember why I was”. He said with a shrug.
Rodney smiled at Ken. “We have 2nd, 4th and 6th period together. So 3 classes.” He smiles as they walk hand in hand and talk. “It’s okay that you didn’t see me, I get it. first day of classes can be overwhelming even more so at a new school. Where are we off to again?” Rodeny forgot where they were going.
Braxton smiled. “I can call her now. I mean I don’t see why she wouldn’t take Thea” I loved how happy he seemed. I just really hoped my mom would take his sister in.
Piper smiled at Koda. She had the biggest crush on him. However, she felt he didn’t like her that way. “I get the whole classes thing with you. That’s nice you were able to keep up that persona.” She giggled at Koda

Laughs as well. “Yeah I mean I got to. You know how life would be miserable for me at home if people found out i’m not tough. Plus you know my family and there business well my dads business, how would that look to him and his associates if they found out I let people walk over me you know?”
“of course I remember Eve, I’m so excited for this.” Evelyn couldn’t help but smile, but only briefly before waitress came over. Pulling out her notepad, mouth full of gum, she smiled at each girl in turn. “Heya, girls. What can I getcha today, hmmm?” She asked, looking between them. “Blueberry pancakes please. With whipped cream.” Evelyn said, shrugging, smiling with raised brows. As if saying, oh “well, sometimes extra sugar is a good thing. With a slight smile, she waited for Livs answer.
As the waitress walk away, Eve drug her gaze back to Liv. She watched her for a moment. Then, cleared her throat. Took a sip of water. “I’m not sure how to keep going… I think, I think we can’t just pick up where we left off. I want to be… friends, but I don’t know how right now.”
“It’s okay that you didn’t see me, I get it. first day of classes can be overwhelming even more so at a new school. Where are we off to again?” Ken paused for a moment, then skipped along with Rodney. Hand in hand. “How about this park a few blocks away? Is that alright?” Ken asked.
Teo smiled at Robin honestly this guy kind of gave Teo butterflies but he didn’t know Robin well enough yet to feel confident coming on to him or flirting with him much at all. “I don’t come from a family with a lot of money. Cam and I are both here on scholarship. I mean I got my helmet used from a guy on my old team when I outgrew my old one. I honestly don’t think any of my equipment is new unless it is provided by the school.” Teo said, a little embarrassed. Teo saw that Robin had more papers in his hands and he was guessing they were drawing because honestly Robin was so gifted in art. It was incredible his photo realistic skills in drawing. Teo shifted a bit hoping Robin would take him up on the offer to hang out because honestly Teo wanted to get to know Robin better. Teo shifted not only because his bags were kind of heavy but also because he was wondering if how he had asked Robin to hang out hinted out how he really felt or not. Robin had dropped all his papers and Teo dropped his bags probably faster than he should have as he tried to make sure that none of the pages were taken away by the wind. “That’s great Robin. You want to come back to my room with me while I change and drop my stuff off then we can go do something?” Teo asked as he grabbed the falling drawings. At first he hadn’t fully or really even at all looked at the drawings but Teo had looked down to better organize the pages in his hand and a very familiar face stared back up at him from the paper. Teo slowly flipped through the pages in his hand. More than a few were drawings of him, some were other players on the team but Teo easily kept finding himself even in some of the drawings that showed more than a few players. “Are these me?” Teo asked softly as he held the drawings out to Robin. He was smiling but it was a very soft and subtle smile. He wasn’t upset at all that Robin had been drawing him but he also didn’t want to think that Robin drawing him over and over again meant something if it did not. Two wondered if these drawings were an indication that Robin liked boys. Honestly it would be hit or miss if Robin saw Teo as a boy anyway but if Robin was into boys maybe Leo did have a chance with the sweet guy that he was starting to get more and more butterflies for.
