Yeah, Russia is terrible when it comes to LGBTQ+. I even saw this article somewhere where people would go to Grindr, meet with Russian gay men, then get them arrested.

Okay, thatâs a fair point and how I should have said it.
I want to comment on this, what Iâve found doing reseach about this. The base game itself is labelled as 18+ in Russia, including other expansions that included LGBTQ characters, even ones that have been featured on covers. Due to that 18+ stamp on the cover the sims has never been a problem, and neither would this expansion be if they just add an 18+ label on the cover. Issue solved, game can be sold without any risks for EA.

Cali has a point about it being blamed on the homophobic side of Russia instead of the LGBTQ+ side instead. To be honest, itâs nothing new for some countries to not except games over this type of issue. For instance, there are many games that China does not allow in their country because it goes against their values basically. You probably do have a point on there being other issues going on with the pack which would delay the game being released but weâre still in dark at this point. This isnât the first time EA has failed to release a game on itâs release date due to technical issues. Itâs better this way then releasing it with any glitches and so on. It really all comes down to the laws of the country since it is very illegal to even talk about LGBTQ+ which is an error on EAâs side of things. Most gaming companies know they have to change games in order to send them into different countries which is why they make different versions to placate those countries. Itâs clear that EA totally ignored this protocol which is what led to the delay. They should of taken this under consideration since this has been the case for a very long time in Russia.

Fair enough, but also repeating myself, in Russia the sims has never been a problem to legally be sold as long as the 18+ label is there. But yeah, it does suck that there are so many countries that refuse to allow games for including LGBTQ characters, and you are absolutely right Russia isnât the only countryâŚ

I guess the biggest bug will be solved, hopefully, but if you maybe watched Pixalades (or any others) video on gameplay you know how many bugs it has. No way it will come out perfect either way, but at this point itâs unplayable.
Exactly, exactly. With a small little tweaks it wouldnât have been a problem in first place. Iâm sure they work with local lawyers tho, so they should have known how they could release. Not sure where that went wrong

Yeah, I get what you mean. The situation is on EAâs fault for not fixing the bugs plus not making a version that is supposed to be more discrete about the contents of the game. EA is bad about these situations. I mean Bioware even had to delay their big expansion pack release date from December 14 to February 15th instead. They made the announcement literally the week before the release date. Bioware is part of EA since it makes the online game Star Wars: The Old Republic. It seems to just be a bad year for them right now.
