Her eyes opened to the bright light streaming into the luxury condo she was currently inside. In retrospect; it was a nice place. The man she was sleeping naked beside didn’t have… horrible taste. He didn’t necessarily have great taste, but she’d give him so much that it wasn’t horrible. After all; it seemed as if her plan did go to completion. He did fall for Jessica - and anyone who did that automatically had less than exquisite taste in Anna’s book. She heard the man move slightly; a groan leaving his lips indicating he was waking up and a soft smile met Annas.

Bringing her lips, Anna moved it towards his collarbone; leaving soft marks on his neck. “Wake up, love,” Anna whispered, letting her hand trail from his chest and slowly inching lower. “We have a busy day today but I think we can fit in another round or two…” she mumbled in his ear. She knew he had a headache this morning but she did nothing to mitigate it. Let’s be honest, she didn’t care. “After all; we did have quite a grand time for most of the night, Malachi.”

Kai knew there would never be the words to express how much Kai wished he could change everything he did, to keep from hurting Jess like he had. In the beginning, it was all simply an inconvenience, something he had to do to try to protect his family. Family, what Kai valued most. Jess couldn’t believe it anymore, but she had become just as important. She was the one person who actually saw the real him, and he had fallen in love with her. Anna may have been the reason he asked her out that day in the bathroom, but she didn’t control what he told her about himself. He lied to her about Anna. He hid from her who his family was, like he kept from the rest of the world. Everything else became genuine as he got to know her, but that didn’t change how he lost her trust. He knew there was nothing he could do to change that. He broke her heart, because he had to tell her the truth… because he couldn’t lie to someone he loved. All Kai could do was to watch her leave. What a great birthday it was.

Kai awoke with a pounding headache. What else could be expected after the quantity of alcohol he had consumed that night. A night which he was hardly able to recall any of. He knew he had drunkenly brought a girl back to his place with him, though that night he didn’t care for a second who it was. It was just sex. A lot of it, just to fulfill a need. The alcohol took his mind off of the hell that his life was, the near future he could no longer avoid, and the sex was to fill the empty space left. As he woke up, he felt her bare skin against his body and her lips at his neck. Slowly opening his eyes to see her, despite the unpleasantness of his hangover with the sunlight shining through the windows, there was an instant of hoping that the girl was Jess, but at her words, calling him Malachi, there was the confirmation that it was not her. It was the girl who shared her face. The person he hated more than anyone else, Anna Pierce. Though a part of him very clearly wanted more at her mention of another round after the night they had, his head just wanted her gone. “Anna. Get the hell out of my bed.” What had led to Kai getting wasted enough to sleep with Anna you may ask. It was simple, he had spent the previous night at a bachelor party, his bachelor party.

After his birthday, word got to his parents about where he was. That he was at Cerulean high playing the game that he wasn’t allowed to win. He was set to take over the game whether he wanted to or not. An argument ensued, and though they came to an agreement that he could remain at Cerulean high to finish the final few weeks until graduation with his cousin, the announcement was made official. Just what Kai had been dreading for over a year, the announcement of his engagement.

News Report
It’s been three years since Crown Princess Angela was nearly killed in a failed assassination attempt, and announced that she would not have any heirs of her own, meaning for her twin sister to take the throne after her. Since then, the royal family has found an individual suitable to become Princess Eva’s husband as a prince and the future king. Though this comes as a surprise since the man she is engaged to marry is not of royal blood, or even the nobility, but instead a young American from an influential family in New York. We have been unable to get a statement from the prince-to-be himself, but we have heard confirmation from the families that the royal wedding between Princess Eva and Malachi Azure will be on the 13th of this June.

The news of the arranged marriage first broke in the country Kai’s fiancé was the princess of, but it wasn’t long before the news spread everywhere. Kai’s parents had arranged for him to marry a princess, who he still hadn’t even met yet, a week after he graduated high school, and he had no choice in the matter. That’s why, the night before Cerulean high’s final soccer game Kai was drinking because of his bachelor party for a wedding he didn’t want to happen.

“Anna. Get the hell out of my bed.”

Anna rolled her eyes though made no effort to get off of him; rather, she did the opposite - straddling him as she used his chest for support. “Now now, love. That’s quite the opposite of what you were groaning all of last night. So what? You hate me, I get it. Who the bloody hell cares…let’s be honest, I hate you too, darling.” she started, bringing her lips to his right ear sensually. “but we both know hate sex can be a hell of a good time and telling by your b0ner, you seem to know that too. Probably even better than that fake love sex with Jess,” she continued.

She knew she was getting on his nerves - hell, she knew he had fallen for Jessica. That much was clear in the message he had sent her after that disaster of a revelation he had done to the girl the night of his birthday. He was clearly p!ssed sending it - even advocating that she needed to be a good sister. In any case, it little earlier than Anna had originally planned for but it worked all the same. Anna wasn’t lying when she said she had a beautiful video of the moment. Her PI had captured the whole thing; the slap, and even Jessica’s mental breakdown; it was utter perfection. It was everything Anna could have ever wanted from this arrangement. Though this… the sex with him was just the cherry on top. Anna knew there was a low chance Jessica would ever forgive Malachi but if she did; this would be the one thing that would stop her. She knew it was. Perhaps that’s why Anna attempted mental manipulation in such a way. She knew it hurt more than anything else.

Propping herself back upon his chest, she looked down on him. “That eye looks like absolute sh!t by the way. My cousin really did a number on you huh? Let me guess; still, trying to figure out where Jessica went? Good luck; when she pulls one of her disappearing acts, she knows how to leave. Hell, she could be dead in a ditch somewhere and none of us would know. But I doubt that last one; she’s too annoying for that.” Anna added. Perhaps she was simply trying to irritate him as much as possible now. Did Anna really want anything to happen to Jessica? No. There was a difference between mental harm and physical harm and perhaps Anna wanted her to suffer more. Plus Anna knew there had been blocked calls to Will and Emmy meaning she was okay. “Nice news article by the way; when do you think she saw it? How do you think she felt? I almost wish I had my PI follow her to whatever hole she found herself in just so I could get that reaction. Guess you win some and you lose some huh?”

There’s only a handful of people Dan cares about in this world. Truly. And seemingly the list only grows shorter and shorter every single day. Valerie Wood was an odd exception to that rule - gaining a top place on that list instead of being removed. That being said; when someone from that list disappears out of nowhere; let’s just say it freaks him the fck out. Especially when that person is someone in one of the very top spots. Jessica Pierce. Two weeks ago she disappeared off the face of the planet. And Yes, he truly means planet because he could not bloody find her anywhere. What Daniel Parker did find was her phone discarded in a random trashcan a few blocks away from Jordan and Kai’s building and it didn’t take a genius to put together what had happened. It was just what he predicted; Kai hurt her… and when he found a video sitting on Anna Pierce’s computer… after a little hacking, he understood why. Blue Royalty’s heir himself, Malachi Azure had broken Jessica. And Daniel was bloody p!ssed that he couldn’t do anything about it. Because Kai owned his family’s company.

That hadn’t stopped Dan from making an appearance at the man’s bachelor party and punching the ass, after a week and a half of not finding Jess what could he do. His worry had increased exponentially. Usually when Jess had disappeared - he could find her. Maybe it took a day or two; but it wasn’t impossible. Well… until now. He had 0 ideas. His Heli had a navigation plan to Paris so he had looked all over Paris security cameras and nothing. His car had driven to his airstrip making his plane go to italy - and again nothing. Jessica had clearly wanted to disappear and he hated that he hadn’t had the chance to make sure she was safe and it was that ass’ fault. And if Kai thought one punch to the eye meant that he was done, the man was sorely mistaken.

Arriving at the last soccer game; he dropped Jez off at the front so she wouldn’t have to walk very far before parking the car and following suit - though unlike Jez; Dan made his way past the benches and went straight towards the soccer team locker room. He got a few snide looks though no one dared talk to him before he reached where surprise surprise Dorian DeLoughry was standing basically naked; changing into his uniform. “Where is she?” Dan questioned. Daniel had been avoiding DeLoughrey. The man clearly couldn’t do his damn job. All that Daniel had asked was for him to keep her away from Kai so this EXACT situation didn’t happen. Useless Ken doll. “I asked you a question, blondie, my cousin has been missing for two weeks and she was last seen in your house. So where the fck did she go?” Dan asked. Perhaps part of the reason he hadn’t asked before was because he thought he could figure it out without Dorian’s help. After all, Dorian wasn’t help; he was rather just a waste of space. But in an odd twist of fate; the man actually had use in this particular situation.

“I don’t know what it is about you. Do you just enjoy being a bloody idiot or something? I swear to god you literally do not know how to do anything except run after a damn ball, DeLoughrey. Oh, I’m sorry, and fck cheerleaders. It’s your only two qualities. Besides that you are a fcking plain bagel with no personality. You can’t even follow through on simple instruction. As far as Im bloody concerned; you are just as much at fault as Kai that Jessica disappeared. And because of you she could be in some random city hurt. So I swear to god; what the fck did she tell you before she left or did you not have enough intelligence to listen?”

To be in the same situation he was once in was not something he thought would happen again. But there he was, two weeks later with nothing but an I’m sorry note he found on his nightstand the day Jessica disappeared, once again. This time it was different, in a way. He knew what happened the day before, he was there for her but he had no idea where she was, or why she had the need to leave again. Why she wasn’t picking up, why she didn’t say anything to anyone… Why?

There was a part of him that wasn’t bothered. She would come back, she had a good reason like last time, she was alright and… she would come back… right? He’s been through it once so this wasn’t new to him, not a surprise. Everything will be alright. That’s what he tried to tell himself after every failed call, but those calls did make him get worried. Afraid even. Concerned. But there was nothing he could do now, just wait. Wait for two weeks and still nothing. Not even today when he hoped she would be at one of his games like she always was, an important game, last game. A game that mattered to him more than anything. So for the night, he had to push those thoughts away and focus on himself. It was supposed to be an easy thing but what would the world do without Daniel Parker?

Getting ready in the locker room with the rest of the team, seeing Daniel was the last thing that was supposed to happen or what he wanted. Not now, not ever. The moment he saw him walking in, Dorian turned to face his open locker and subtly roll his eyes as he put on his uniform. It was never easy to ignore him, just hearing his name could annoy Dorian so imagine how he felt when he was right next to him, attempting to talk. “Oh, you were talking to me? Oops?” Refusing to turn and look at Daniel, he said through a laugh. This was supposed to happen sooner or later; the talk about Jessica and where she was. Well… not the talk, but an attack. Daniel didn’t know how to talk to people, he only knew how to attack them and put the blame on others. So unless he treats him like a human being, Dorian would not say a thing.

“Look… Before she left…” He slowly and quietly started, placing his hand on the locker as if he was trying to find the right words. Trying to explain what happened the night she was at his house. “She told me… if you start asking questions to tell you to fck off.” Slamming the locker, he turned to look at Daniel with a sarcastic smile before continuing. “From what I remember, this is also your fault. Take some accountability for once and stop blaming other people, I’m really tired of your sh!t. This… is getting boring. And better a plain bagel with no personality than a psychopath who doesn’t know how to treat his cousin.” He spat out through another chuckle, crossing his arms as he leaned back against the same locker he slammed. "Wait, wait… So you’re telling me you don’t know where she is. You? Aren’t you the one that knows everything? How does it feel, huh? Not knowing where she is and not getting any answers? Wait… don’t tell me, I know… it sucks. Now with a playful smile, he slowly took a step towards Daniel, keeping his arms crossed. “Why don’t you try asking me nicely? Because this isn’t going well.”

Daniel’s eyes narrowed at the blatant audacity of one Dorian DeLoughrey. Who the bloody hell did the man think he was. Dorian didn’t even rank the ladder of people who could talk to him in such a way. Courageous or stupid? Answer - stupid. If Daniel wasn’t so preoccupied on figuring out where Jess was; Dorian would be paying exponentially by now. “I suggest you fix your tone of voice, blondie, because we both know I can make your life hell,” Dan spewed between his teeth. P!ssed off didn’t even begin to describe how Dan felt being in the same room as someone more idiotic than Fred from Scooby-Doo. Even bloody looked like Fred.

As the man decided to slam his locker for some sort of a dramatic effect; Danie didn’t even flinch. Rather; he faked a yawn as he half-listened to what the man was saying. “Don’t you even dare start saying this is my fault. I tried to get her away from him; she wasn’t listening to me. You know who she would listen to? Maybe someone she considered her friend though clearly I was mistaken in thinking that you did anything for anyone but yourself.” Dan was tired of this ape of a man. He truly only cared about himself and that was clear in everything he did. From hurting his own sister, to not being able to follow the simplest of instructions that would have protected Jessica right now. He truly was an All-American idiot. Though as the man continued to egg him on; Dan clearly grew more frustrated every second. Pulling a phone out of his pocket; he threw the damaged device on the bench. “In case you were wondering why Jess wasn’t picking up your calls. This was found at the junkyard. Do you understand that she didn’t even bring her phone where ever she went? That’s if she isn’t lying dead in the junkyard herself. So pull off the bravado act and just tell me what the fck you know because I might not know, or care to know, much about you DeLoughrey. But I do know that with the sheer amount of calls you’ve placed to that phone; you don’t know as much as you want me to believe you do. But here’s the thing, I need to know what you do know so I can find her. So for once in your life, do something that’s not for yourself and do it for her.”

About two and a half weeks have passed since Kai’s birthday, and quite a lot has happened… not necessarily to Valerie, but to the people she cared for most. Jessica disappeared again, and although Valerie and Jessica weren’t close whatsoever, it affected her because of how much it affected Daniel. And well, a part of relationships is supporting and sharing pain, she knew how Jessica was like a sister to him, so clearly it wasn’t really an ideal situation. But even though there wasn’t much for her to do, she tried being there for him as much as she could. And if we already mentioned Jessica, her and Kai broke up, and now he’s apparently engaged to some princess which was a complete shocker fin general, but also not really because this wasn’t really something Valerie wouldn’t expect from the Azure family.

The last football game has arrived, and the school was all hyped up and excited. yes, football, not soccer like a bloody uneducated American. Valerie, just like the rest of the people who weren’t participating, showed up to support and watch.
In the wide crowd of people coming around, Valerie, with her iced coffee and box of raspberries, spotted Jezebel. Valerie and Jezebel have been friends before, but lately her place of Val’s list of important people in her life raised tremendously, mostly for being Daniel’s sister. But that was just another good excuse for Valerie to try bond with the girl, as well as the feeling she had lately that’s she’s letting her friends down in a way (not in the cc meaning of the phrase), how so many things have been happening around her and she did basically nothing about them. Kai is getting married, Andy is going to be a dad… Jez is also like big time pregnant… and so much more.

”Hey there mama” she said with a jokingly playful tone and a smirk on her lips as Jez was closer by ”How’s little jellybean in there doing?” she asked ”Raspberry?” she suggested bringing the pack in the girl’s direction ”You’re eating for two, saying no to food isn’t allowed”

Suffocating. Jessica’s body truly felt asphyxiated that night she laid in bed with Dorian; his arms around her in an attempt to comfort her after she told him everything that had happened. She couldn’t lie to him… not again. A promise she had made to herself and one she had kept after he picked her up from the concrete floor of an alleyway. Perhaps she had been rash in kissing Dorian hours earlier; trying to forget the pain she was in, but he simply pushed her off and wrapped his arms around her. And part of that only hurt her more. What was left of her heart ached. She was in pain in every sense of the word and it truly felt as if she was gasping for breath but only water filled her lungs as she drowned quicker and deeper as she laid awake beside him.

Jess had turned towards him; placing a soft kiss on his forehead before navigating herself out of his arms surrounded by the darkness of his room. Tears had once again begun falling from her face as she hugged her legs and she knew she couldn’t stay there. If Jess was drowning; it felt like Beryl was the poisonous water she was drowning within. She needed to be alone… to breathe… to be someone else. And walking towards his countertop; Jess wrote a simple note with the words:

𝐼’𝓂 𝓈𝑜𝓇𝓇𝓎, - 𝒥𝑒𝓈𝓈

Written upon a piece of paper; she left it there as she escaped into the night; something she often did at 3 in the morning. Though today… Jess wasn’t planning on returning. Rather she made a few final calls on her phone sending distractions for Dan… she just needed time without him hounding her every bloody second. And then; with only the clothes on her back and a few dollars in cash – Jess went to the train station wearing one of Dorian’s hoodies and sweatpants and hopped on the first train she found. Not even caring where it headed.

It had been a week and a half of Jess just moving around; taking train to train to different places; sleeping in train stations for the first day or two…. Or really any place she could find. In the end, Jess finally ended up in Napa Valley; finding a job in a small winery that allowed her a place to sleep. It was calming; something that allowed her to get her mind off of everything else. To be in a place where she wasn’t Jessica Pierce. Where she hadn’t had her heartbroken by the man she loved… or she thought she loved. She didn’t even know what to believe anymore.

She had finally gotten into a new groove; one that allowed her a small ounce of her grief not completely overwhelming her entire being. Perhaps part of that was she had gone so far as to not even use her name. As of right now; she simply went by Sophia. A girl who hadn’t gone through everything life had put Jessica through. Though it seemed this small moment where she didn’t feel a crushing feeling was short-lived. Because as she was going through and cleaning off the wine bottles; her eyes caught the most recent New York Times sitting on a table that someone had left. And the moment she read the news report; her heart sunk again.

“…but we have heard confirmation from the families that the royal wedding between Princess Eva and Malachi Azure will be on the 13th of this June.”

Why should she have been surprised? Why did it feel like someone had just stabbed her through the heart for the second bloody time? Sinking to the floor; the article fell in front of her as Jess stuffed her head in her hands. She couldn’t keep running away. The issue was that every fcking time she did; it kept catching up to her. Jessica Pierce kept bloody catching up to her and it killed her every time. Though it was at that moment that she realized she couldn’t ever really escape her past. And as much as she wanted to try sometimes; it wasn’t ever fully possible.

She had arrived an hour earlier from the train station; a hint of desolation in her heart – though she knew she had to do something. There was only so much running Jess could do before her past caught up to her and hell, it had caught up to her pretty damn fast. Though she had her reasons for coming back; for standing in the parking lot working up her courage to go to the football field. One to apologize for making her cousin worry – alongside making her friends worry. And two… to finally bloody stand up to Anna. A girl she knew was in that field after finally logging online and finding a flight plan from the Pierce Jet from London to Beryl.

Jess took a deep breath before starting her descent towards the field; though soon blocking her way was Andy McAllister… a man she honestly hadn’t… spoken normally to for a month. “Hey… buddy,” Jess mumbled through her lips… at a loss for words as she stood in front of her… friend? Could she still call him that? Ever since she had found out about Anna and him; things had just been… strange between the two and that idea made her heart drop.

“Andy can we just… talk later… I have a few things I need to do and I’m sure you have your own…” she started, a soft sigh leaving her mouth. The two had never been like this… not since she left freshman year and hadn’t talked to him for two years. They used to be able to read each other’s minds and now… it was… the opposite. “… things to deal with… I’m sorry Andy, I can’t do this right now,” Jess muttered; pushing past him before he could say anything else. Rather the disappointment on his features was clear and Jess couldn’t do with more disappointment in her. She was already so disappointed in herself every day that she didn’t want more.

No matter how much the man in front of him was annoying and how much he wanted to get out of that conversation as soon as possible, he was still worried and Daniel… had a point. He wasn’t right about everything, just parts of it. Could he make his life hell? Sure. Does Dorian care? Well, he does. He surely doesn’t want him messing with his life, again. Could Jessica be somewhere possibly hurt? She could. But was he doing everything just for himself, did he only care about himself? No, that part Daniel wasn’t right about. But how could he blame him? Dorian’s actions never really showed that.

This act he tried to put on in front of Daniel, being superior because he actually knew what was happening with Jessica, until she disappeared again at least, didn’t last long. Seeing him pulling a phone out of his pocket that obviously belonged to Jess, Dori took a deep breath in, watching as he threw it to the nearest bench. That’s not good. The realization of how bad this situation was quickly sunk in as he listened to Daniel, his gaze remaining on the damaged phone. Avoiding to look at him, everything that happened that night, everything he remembered from that night went through his head but… he didn’t know much. “I don’t know anything, okay? She just called me from an alleyway and I picked her up,” he quietly started, slowly looking back at Daniel as he took a step back, trying not to let it show how worried he was starting to get. “She just told me what happened with Malachi, how they broke up and you probably know that… And he’s apparently getting married to a princess or something,” he chuckled at his own words, sarcastically of course. It was just ridiculous, the whole Kai situation was ridiculous. “She was hurt and… I was there for her but I didn’t know she would leave in the middle of the night. She left me a note saying she was sorry but that’s it. That’s all I know and it’s not much.”

“And she…” thinking about the night, he remembered how she kissed him and he pushed her away. He didn’t want to bring that up, especially not around Daniel but maybe that even helped with deciding to just disappear again. Maybe it was his fault and he hurt her, even more, when he didn’t want to do that. “She kissed me and I pushed her away. I just didn’t want to take advantage of that situation. I don’t know if that had anything to do with… That’s it.”

The time after the news were spread out was a bit intense, full of people pushing their noses and commenting on Ziah’s pregnancy. Proving there is indeed a thing called bad publicity because many of them were judging him and calling him out on past reckless behaviours… Drinks, drugs, fights… Andy definitely wasn’t the billboard image of a perfect father, at least not to the media. But one thing surprised him to see, while watching the news the next day, an interview with his mother. His mother who was away for work and hasn’t seen Andy since the news have been out, the one who usually judged and called out Andy the most on his actions. Honestly, it has been a long time since Andy had heard a good word from his mother… he may have been the first, but he was never her favourite child. She did like it that he followed in her steps on his own musical career, but that was pretty much it, or at least that’s what she let him see. But as Andy ran across the interview with her on her son’s pregnancy scandal, his eyes found themselves glued to the screen, listening the words of the woman who rarely ever spoke about him in the media. She always liked Ziah, that wasn’t an issue, the issue was him… or, well, at least that’s what he thought. ”It caught us all by surprise, and I understand where all your questions come from, he definitely has the tendency to find himself in trouble, but I know my son, and if anyone would make an amazing father, it would be Andy. He just needs a good reason to settle, when he really cares for someone, he’ll do whatever it takes to keep them safe and happy, just ask his sister.” she said, and honestly it was all true. She described it perfectly it all perfectly, And as Andy watched his mother speak, a smile came to his lips as he never realised just how well his mother knew him up until now. Looking at her, he could tell she really meant it, which made him feel a whole lot better, tough independent guy and all, at the end of the day all he needed was his own mother to believe in him.

That, and well, his best friend. Or who he considered his best friend, but she on her side, practically ignored and avoided him, before completely disappearing from the face of the earth, again. Or at least that was true for the past two and a half weeks, until the fateful day of the final soccer game. There she was, Jessica Pierce, in the flesh, walking her way to the cerulean high soccer field. ”Jess” he called and walked towards the girl ”what the fcuk Jessica where the hell were you??” he added, looking at her as he spoke, a mix of relief and disappointment on his features.
“Andy can we just… talk later… I have a few things I need to do and I’m sure you have your own… things to deal with… I’m sorry Andy, I can’t do this right now,”*
”In later do you mean when you decide to show up again in god knows when?” he asked as following her, as her blowing him off again just got him more disappointed than before, ”Jessica dammit stop pushing me away” he said and speeded passing her, stopping her once again ”hell, stop pushing everyone away it doesn’t work like that” he said

Ahh, and how fast that very bravado facade falls. Daniel could see it in the man’s face; the same worry that adored Daniel’s own features when the phone hit the bench. But it seemed as if the man didn’t have any useful information after the realization had set in; explaining that he didn’t know anything. What Daniel couldn’t fathom is why Jess would even call Dorian in the first place. Look at him; the man couldn’t even take care of himself let alone someone who was upset. Dan wasn’t the best at it either but at least he’d be better than blonde stereotypic male in ever bloody 90s and early 00’s sitcoms.

“All hail the king of blue royalty,” Dan muttered with a roll of his eyes at the mention of Kai. Hate didn’t even begin to describe how Daniel felt towards that man. Dan made sure that Kai knew if Jess was hurt; it was 100% his fault. He wouldn’t ever admit it but Kai did look defeated and that helped; but not by much. Daniel Parker still would have loved to punch the man more than a few bloody times. “I tried calling Anna but that sh!t isn’t helping either - but I found a flight plan headed here. So be careful…” Dan started, not knowing why he was warning the man. “If you see her today, it might be Anna,” Dan sighed - giving him another look of disdain when he told him that Jess had kissed him. Mind the automatic gag that ran through him; Dan nodded. Perhaps part of him even appreciative that Dori hadn’t taken advantage.

“Just bloody tell me if she calls you from a payphone or something,” Dan sighed; taking the phone off the bench and throwing it in the trash. Dan had extracted everything he could from the phone weeks ago. With that, Dan didn’t waste another breath; turning around and heading inside the hallway that led outside of the locker room.

His mind was stuck on Jessica; worry for her overclouded his being as he kicked the lockers outside. “Fcking hell,” he screamed; looking at students passing by who turned towards him. “If I were you, I’d keep walking,” Dan told them - the two quickly scurrying off after he said that. Though as the students left; Dan caught eye of a girl who had been avoiding him for the past few weeks. Needing to get his mind off of Jessica - he did something he didn’t expect of himself, he followed Delilah.

“Delilah, how long are you going to keep bloody running away from me?” he questioned; following the seemingly annoyed girl through the hallway. A sigh left his lips as she walked into the girls bathroom - likely to avoid him. “Delilah for fcks sake,” Dan yelled through the doors stopping outside. Though after a minute of debate he walked in screaming “MAN IN THE BATHROOM; GET THE FCK OUT,” to see Delilah standing by the mirrors. “So you’re going to avoid my DMs, and avoid me in person? Really?”

Her eyes closed in soft frustration as she heard the very thing she was avoiding; the disappointment in his voice when he asked her where the hell she had been. Andy wasn’t letting her off easy with this one as much as part of her hoped he would. Running her hands through her hair she stayed looking away from him; knowing the moment she looked in his eyes it would hurt. Perhaps that’s why she kept walking away; kept trying to avoid the conversation like she often did when she disappeared. Though before escape could happen, he blocked her path - looking straight at her as he told her to stop pushing everyone away.

“What do you want me to bloody say Andy? For fcks sake. Do you want me to tell you the truth that it hurts to even look at you sometimes? That knowing you worked with Anna is killing me inside and trust me,” she laughed, the soft hysteria in her voice showing through "…I know it shouldn’t. I know I told you to do it and I would tell you to do it again every single fcking time, Andy, I just… "

She looked away from him. Part of her didn’t want to say what her body was working up to say. Maybe it was just another defense mechanism. If she couldn’t run away, push others away in a different way. At least then she was in control of people leaving her life. “…there is too much going on in my life and clearly there’s far too much going on in your life now Andy. We’re out of step and maybe it’s better for us to just stop this now…” Jess sighed. She didn’t dare look at him anymore, she couldn’t because if she did - he’d clearly be able to tell that she was lying. “You have a baby to take care of Andy; and I have a life to figure out. So go do that. You clearly have enough on your plate. I’m helping you and taking myself out of the bloody equation. You welcome,”

Clearly she wanted him to let it go, or at least that’s what she expected, but they both knew him well enough to know he wouldn’t. So as she called him out as he blocked her path, Andy looked at the girl who was apparently mad and hurt by the whole deal with Anna and the trip. ”Do you think I wanted that? I fcuking hated it”

On the one hand, he could get how your best friend working with your evil twin can hurt like a b!tch, but on the other hand, he didn’t get it, because it’s not like she didn’t know, she knew and told him to do whatever Anna said. She agreed to this, and she always will because she’d do everything for that fcuking sister of her, and he hated that. He hated how her very own sister was doing everything she can to destroy Jessica’s life, what kind of heartless psycho does that? If you were wondering, the answer is one Anna bloody Pierce.

”Bullsh!t.” he said as she told him maybe it was too much and that they should cut it out. ”I have a baby yeah okay, but you can’t just take yourself out of the equation like it doesn’t even matter, you’re not a Walmart temp” he called at her, ”Okay maybe it doesn’t matter to you, I don’t fcuking know. But it does to me.” he then added, not removing his piercing gaze from the girl who avoided his eyes basically for the whole time they were there.

Jezebel Sloane Parker

The conversation with Riker in the elevator that day made quick work of breaking down all of the confidence Jezebel was slowly building in regards to being a mother and that she would be worth anything for her daughter. Dan and Jess had both tried telling her that she would be a good mother, but Riker’s words stuck in her mind. Saying that he hoped the kid didn’t turn out like her. Was his statement entirely wrong, not necessarily. Jezebel didn’t want her daughter to be just like her. Jezebel had a way of messing everything up with the people around her. She wanted the best for her daughter, but how could Jezebel possibly be the best for her. She didn’t have a good example of what a mother should be. She didn’t know what she was doing, and she was already terrified to screw up. Riker’s statement and mention of how she had been pregnant with Jordan’s child two years earlier only reenforced all of her fears. Just thinking about it, how she lost that child, increased her ever present fear that something would happen this time, even if the stress wasn’t good for her. Then there was the fact that Jess had been missing. She left Kai’s birthday party, having broken up with him and hadn’t returned, especially not after the announcement of Kai’s upcoming marriage. Daniel had been using every resource he had to find her, but was yet to find out where she had been. In general, it seemed as if everyone had a lot going on. On the positive side of things, over the past couple weeks, Jezebel had finally gotten rid of the one connection she still had to her mother. Her name. She was no longer Jezebel Sloane. She was Jezebel Parker, so her daughter wouldn’t have to deal with being connected to the Sloane family like Jezebel had been. Finally it was the day of the school’s big soccer game, and normally Jezebel would’ve been with the other cheerleaders, but she couldn’t exactly be a cheerleader at 23 weeks pregnant, so when Daniel let her out of the car before he went to park Jezebel went to sit down where Valerie came over to her. They had been friends for a while, but recently they had been around each other more often due to her and Daniel spending more time together. Jezebel smiled at her, taking a raspberry that Val had offered. “Thanks Val, and she’s doing good.” Jezebel laughed as Val said that saying no to food wasn’t allowed. “Yeah saying no food just can’t happen. Unless she disagrees, I can’t pass up on food.”

“Do you think I wanted that? I fcking hated it”

Crossing her arms across her chest; Jess continued to look past his body to the students walking towards the football field. “I know you didn’t, Andy… trust me, I bloody know,” Jess mumbled. Part of her just wanted him to let her go. Life was just easier like that. “I don’t… know how to explain it okay,” she whispered, “I’m tired and I just can’t keep doing this,” she added even quieter. It was true; Jess was tired. Tired of everything that her life had accumulated to. It was just pain on top of more pain and sometimes she didn’t know how much more she could take.

Shaking her head as he continued; talking about how she couldn’t just take herself out of his life - she finally looked at him. “I’m sorry Andy, but I can and I will.” Jess muttered; swallowing the pain she felt when she was saying those words. She just… didn’t want him to get hurt because of her. And it seemed anyone she ever let in was in the line of fire. “I’m not a Walmart temp, you’re right, because I quit,” Jess continued; meeting his piercing gaze as she felt herself folding under it. “So stop… caring about what happens to me because I’ll let you in on a little secret, Andy, it doesn’t matter. Go back to your life,”

With that; she walked past him for a second time - her heart aching at the words she had just said but part of her knowing she was doing it for him. His life - his family didn’t need her. It never did and especially now he had more important things to be concerned over than her whims.

Jez then took a raspberry and thanked her, telling her the little jellybean was doing good, and that she indeed couldn’t say no to food unless baby disagrees
”She should know better than disagreeing to the good stuff” Valerie stated and snacked on another raspberry. She wasn’t usually a healthy food kind of girl, but fresh raspberries were perfection and nobody could argue with her on that. ”okay not all the good stuff” she then added, there’s a lot this baby hasn’t seen yet, big ass crazy world out there. ”I swear I’ll end up calling her Jellybean even when she’s actually out and has a name and all” she said with a small chuckle and looked around ”gosh it’s so weird to see you at a game and not in the cheering stuff, not used to that” she said glancing at some cheerleaders
”Back to the note of food though, there’s a new burger place that does like really cool burgers, and I was thinking” she started and a smirk came to her lips ”drumroll… girl’s night” she announced with a smile ”Me, you, Jelly over there, and some rad burgers” she suggested ”What do you say?” she asked, hoping the girl would say yes, as she wanted to spend time with her (as well as getting those burgers)

Kai let out a deep exhale as he rolled his eyes, showing his annoyance at Anna not only not getting out, but instead getting fully on top of him. “Love? Just don’t Anna. And last night, should never have happened.” Kai would have pushed her off of him, gotten up and kicked her out right then, but any more movement than the slight turn of his head, only increased his splitting headache, as a result of both his hangover and a solid punch to the face from Daniel Parker himself. Even though he couldn’t push her off of him at that moment, he wanted her gone. It was common for someone to deal with being unsure whether to listen to their head or their heart, but that wasn’t the case for Kai. His head and heart were on the same page, that Anna wasn’t Jess and that the girl he hated needed to be out of his sight, but there was the visible desire to continue right from where they left off the night before. Though, Anna knew that, she knew just how much her presence aggravated him, which was just the reason for her every word, and likely for staying on top of him, her bare skin against his as she kept herself propped up on his chest. Kai certainly did not hold Daniel in a positive regard, but he didn’t necessarily care about the black eye he now had, he knew he deserved the punch. He was the reason Jessica was nowhere to be found, somewhere neither Daniel or Kai could find her. Kai glared at Anna at her comment of her possibly even being dead in a ditch. That was something that Kai was worried about. He had no idea where she was, or if she was hurt or in danger. When the news of his engagement came out, Kai knew it had to have hurt Jess even more. He didn’t want to hurt her more, but he didn’t have a choice in the matter. The whole wedding wasn’t his choice, and he had just wanted to delay thinking about the inevitable for as long as possible. “F**k off Anna. Shut up and get the hell out of my life.” Kai said with a slight groan as the pounding in his head grew stronger. He needed coffee and lots of it, or better yet, more alcohol and lots of it.

A frustrated groan left her lips again as she tried calling Val. The girl had been ignoring her for the past two weeks ever since Kai’s birthday party and fine, she understood… partly at least. She understood that she had hurt her best friend. But she had done it for her own good. Candice Clarke truly, fully believed that her friend deserved better than Daniel Parker. Just look at Yara Keller, his ex girlfriend. He had clearly broken her heart and continued to do so on a daily basis. Anyone could see that with just the instagram fights they used to have over the last two years. No matter how good it was right now; Candice knew that Valerie was just fooling herself. Getting distracted in the illusion of it all. Though despite that - Candice knew for now she had to apologize. Get back into her friend’s good graces so when the eventual heart break did happen; she could be there for her. The question was how to do that when Valerie was ignoring her.

Despite that and the frustration in her that Val had been avoiding her… and hint of sadness at the fact… Candice had picked herself up to go to the soccer game. With the court proceedings; Candice had barely gone to school - rather completing all her classes online. Though her case was coming to the end. And she still hadn’t told Kai that the baby she was fighting so hard for his.

Perhaps it was because she was so distracted that she hadn’t noticed the man walking in the parking lot as she drove through looking for a parking spot. Candice hit the break the instant she saw him though the car clearly hit the man slightly; likely not enough to hurt him but still hit him. Candice’s eyes closed in embarrassment as she hit her head on the wheel; not even looking to see who it was before parking the car and walking outside of it. “I am so sorry I am such an idiot… I…” Candice started as she finally looked to see who it was. Her heart fluttering slightly at the man she saw in front of her. “Mav…” she whispered; not having seen the man even since the moment she had returned. Perhaps the reason being because it hurt too much.

“Hey…” she continued; at a loss for words not knowing exactly what to say to the man. “Sorry for… uh… almost running you over?”

”Love? Just don’t Anna. And last night, should never have happened,”

A soft laugh escaped her lips as she looked at him with her eyebrows raised. “It should have never happened, but it did,” Anna added; bringing her lips back towards his ears. “Again, and again, and again, and… well, again,” she stated clearly; a soft laugh leaving her lips as she trailed her hands lower once again. Though with his clear annoyance, she soon grew bored. Teasing was only so much fun. Pulling herself off of him with his next statement; Anna shot him a sigh as she lazily moved towards the shower. Though, she made no effort to put any clothes on as she made her way towards the shower and turned the water on.

Allowing the hot water to stream down her body; Anna paid no attention to the groans of pain coming from the man in the other room. Rather, she basked in her glory of winning. She; Anna Pierce finally won against her older sister. She finally had the upper hand for once. And honestly, it felt bloody good. Just like Jessica had once done to her; Anna had taken everything away from her sister. A full circle. That’s what it all had been from the moment she was 8 to now. And for the first time; Anna was finally on top. Truly on top.

Wrapping a towel around her body; Anna walked back out to where Kai was still asleep; rather clearly trying to hide his face from the sunlight. “You know you can’t bloody stay in bed all day, I mean – how many of those do you even have left until your wedding? What? Less than two weeks left?” Anna questioned; dropping the towel before moving towards his living room naked as she whipped together a smoothie – making sure to blend a little longer than she had to so she could annoy the hell out of him. Though in an odd generosity, she also made a cup of black coffee with a splash of vodka – her own hangover cure. Walking back towards his bedroom, she left the drink towards his side. “cheers, love. To a job well done,” She stated, taking a sip of her own as he eyed the drink. “It’s not poisoned,” she stated; placing her own on the side table as she put on her clothes.

“Well, love, I don’t know about you…” she started; fixing her shirt; making it look like a whole different outfit than she was wearing last night. The morning after ‘walk’ was not one that Anna displayed; she was too elegant for that. “… but I have a soccer game to go to. Perhaps I’ll see you there love,” she told the man. Anna knew he’d be curious as to why she was going and perhaps that in itself would bring him out. Though Anna had already begun walking – meaning she wasn’t going to answer any questions about it. “Au Revoir” she stated as she walked out of the door; slamming it – on purpose.

“I’m tired and I just can’t keep doing this,”
”Doing what exactly?” he asked, emphasising the what with confided indignation in his tone.
He seemed mad, but mostly he was just hurt. It bloody hurt, but he wasn’t going to just give up, it wasn’t how he did things. Especially not this thing. ”You’re not my damn girlfriend what are you breaking up with me for?”

She was willing to give up, she just tried her best to make him leave and god damn it staying just hurt more with every word that came out of her mouth
*“So stop… caring about what happens to me because I’ll let you in on a little secret, Andy, it doesn’t matter. Go back to your life,” *
”Not to you,” he said as she passed him once again ”But it bloody does to me” he added
