The time after the news were spread out was a bit intense, full of people pushing their noses and commenting on Ziah’s pregnancy. Proving there is indeed a thing called bad publicity because many of them were judging him and calling him out on past reckless behaviours… Drinks, drugs, fights… Andy definitely wasn’t the billboard image of a perfect father, at least not to the media. But one thing surprised him to see, while watching the news the next day, an interview with his mother. His mother who was away for work and hasn’t seen Andy since the news have been out, the one who usually judged and called out Andy the most on his actions. Honestly, it has been a long time since Andy had heard a good word from his mother… he may have been the first, but he was never her favourite child. She did like it that he followed in her steps on his own musical career, but that was pretty much it, or at least that’s what she let him see. But as Andy ran across the interview with her on her son’s pregnancy scandal, his eyes found themselves glued to the screen, listening the words of the woman who rarely ever spoke about him in the media. She always liked Ziah, that wasn’t an issue, the issue was him… or, well, at least that’s what he thought. ”It caught us all by surprise, and I understand where all your questions come from, he definitely has the tendency to find himself in trouble, but I know my son, and if anyone would make an amazing father, it would be Andy. He just needs a good reason to settle, when he really cares for someone, he’ll do whatever it takes to keep them safe and happy, just ask his sister.” she said, and honestly it was all true. She described it perfectly it all perfectly, And as Andy watched his mother speak, a smile came to his lips as he never realised just how well his mother knew him up until now. Looking at her, he could tell she really meant it, which made him feel a whole lot better, tough independent guy and all, at the end of the day all he needed was his own mother to believe in him.
That, and well, his best friend. Or who he considered his best friend, but she on her side, practically ignored and avoided him, before completely disappearing from the face of the earth, again. Or at least that was true for the past two and a half weeks, until the fateful day of the final soccer game. There she was, Jessica Pierce, in the flesh, walking her way to the cerulean high soccer field. ”Jess” he called and walked towards the girl ”what the fcuk Jessica where the hell were you??” he added, looking at her as he spoke, a mix of relief and disappointment on his features.
“Andy can we just… talk later… I have a few things I need to do and I’m sure you have your own… things to deal with… I’m sorry Andy, I can’t do this right now,”*
”In later do you mean when you decide to show up again in god knows when?” he asked as following her, as her blowing him off again just got him more disappointed than before, ”Jessica dammit stop pushing me away” he said and speeded passing her, stopping her once again ”hell, stop pushing everyone away it doesn’t work like that” he said
